A Leadership Team Development (LTD) Review From Someone Whose Mom Said the System Wouldn’t Work

I have considered writing my story down for a while now, and after deciding to give back more the corporation and training and support system that have made an impact in my business I determined right now is the time to do it.

If you’re here it’s probably because you heard of Leadership Team Development after you went to our information session or from somebody, maybe someone you recently met who contacted you to look at the company as a business option for yourself and you determined to review some information on what you can learn concerning the company.

Being that Leadership Team Development (LTD) is a relatively new support and training system only being in business a only some years most people don’t know the magnitude of the organization.

In the short time Leadership Team Development (LTD) has been in business it has sparked conflict, condemnations, and on the opposite side – a lot of dedicated promoters. Leadership Team Development (LTD) was brought into existence by 12 diamond distributors of the Amway business that had a desire to create a superior Amway business for individuals interested in developing the Amway business. Most of the denigration is left over from many years ago due to IBOs of other organizations who didn’t run their business with the best intentions. Some critics have assumed that since Leadership Team Development (LTD) was created by Amway reps that it was a me too organization. I know several of the top diamonds personally, having been to their houses and it’s obvious that the haters haven’t taken the time to become familiar with the diamonds and what they stand for and up to the present time Leadership Team Development (LTD) has been misrepresented.

This post isn’t about getting into all the critics stories of the past, if you want to find those stories they are easy to find. This post is to inform you of the actual Leadership Team Development (LTD) story, and the positive experiences I have had. I was a rep of the Amway business before Leadership Team Development (LTD) began and I can tell you that the Amway business today is getting better by the day.

How I got involved in Leadership Team Development (LTD)

After getting out of college and taking my first corporate consulting job I was prospected by one of my work associates who I discovered later was in Amway on the Leadership Team Development (LTD) team. He asked, “Do you keep your options open for extra ways to produce income”? I said, “Yes, doing what”? He said, “Well, I can’t talk about it here at the office, but get me your mobile number and I’ll ask one of my business partners to call you and tell you about what we’re doing”.

How Leadership Team Development (LTD) got me to debt free

By the time I got out of college I ran up $10,000 in credit card balances, financed a new car, borrowed a down payment on a condo, put my TV, my home theater system and my microwave on credit. I was literally drowning in debt and I was going down fast. There was more days in the month than money each and every month and it was extremely nerve-racking.

The evening I went to an info meeting, I rang my mom to give her a heads up that I was going to a information session and she said, “Oh, I bet you’re going to an Amway meeting, don’t get your hopes up”. My mother had been in the old Amway many years before and had a not so positive experience with a sponsor that had no care for people. I said, “Mom, if I don’t start dreaming now what will I ever have to get my hopes up for down the road”?

I attended my first information session and listened to the presenter get into the details about the business. It was there that I first heard about Amway, a network marketing company that sold billions each year, and sold countless companies products and services to be sold by it’s distributors worldwide. That night I also was told about a training and personal leadership development system created by 12 multi-millionaires called Leadership Team Development (LTD). I was later trained by one of those 12 millionaires and it would turn out to impact who I was for the better in many ways. I went home that night with a healthy skepticism but in the back of my mind I knew there was something about the IBOs in the room. I came to learn later that all the people in the room were members of Leadership Team Development (LTD) and with their support I knew I would succeed.

After 18-24 months of effort working 10-15 hours / week my wife and I had built an organization producing more than $500K in sales while we both continued to work our full time careers and I got completely out of debt.

How Leadership Team Development (LTD) helped me learn new skills in leadership and communication

Leadership Team Development (LTD) is a training system that sells personal development, communication and leadership training materials, events and a team of proven business coaches to help anyone in pursuit of growing a large Amway business. While being involved in Leadership Team Development (LTD) doesn’t guarantee someone’s success in Amway, the support system teaches the practices necessary to succeed in the business.

Being in Amway with Leadership Team Development (LTD) I have been encouraged to read books that have when applied been proven to help others be successful, encouraged to listen to audios and attend events produced by the Leadership Team Development (LTD) top leaders that have allowed me to learn communication and leadership skills that I’ve been able to utilize in business, in my job, and in my marriage. I have had an opportunity to turn out to be a successful business owner, a much better partner to my wife and father being associated with the men in Leadership Team Development (LTD).

Why does Leadership Team Development (LTD) draw critics?

There will always be individuals that come up with their opinions. Commonly the people that have the time to be critical of a thing are people that have nothing better to spend their time doing than to aim to take others down with them. Maybe you’ve heard the tale of the crabs in the bucket. Just when one crab starts to climb out two of it’s closest acquaintances reach up and pull him back into the bucket.

The reality is – folks criticize what they don’t comprehend. Most people that have grown up in the long-established public education systems weren’t taught the philosophy of achievement, nor what it takes to really succeed in a business of their own. School teaches students how to go to school, get decent grades, go to work and promises the illusion of making it. What does that mean?

Thus when certain individuals get around leaders that have learned how to become successful, on occasion they just don’t understand and they walk away since those people are not ready to change how they think and become successful.

Regrettably occasionally those honest people will hear of another person trying to make a move to better their life and similar to those crabs attempt to pull them down. Are you aware that no one ever erected a statue to applaud the accomplishments of someone who wasted their day criticizing things they knew nothing about?

Do I have to buy books, CDs and attend functions that Leadership Team Development (LTD) promotes?

Have you ever met someone that succeeded at something and then come across someone else that failed to accomplish that same goal? What are the differences in those two people? For just a moment let’s assume they have the same physical and mental capabilities. Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you the Roger Bannister story. You’ve surely have already heard that one many times. No matter how it shakes out, at the end of the day, the difference is mindset. The truth is when two people try to solve a problem one with a success mindset and one with anything less than that the pessimistic mindset will end in defeat. The challenge is a success mindset is a deep subject.

There are hundreds of books, audios and events produced each year to address success. There are more resources available on developing a success mindset than probably any other subject. If you already have a success mindset unlike 99.9% of people on this planet, you can probably get by without them. If you’re like the rest of us that have a lot of room to improve they would be worth the investment in yourself.

Some of my friends in this industry make six and seven figure incomes and they spend thousands of dollars every month on self development. Those same people invested 100s of dollars per month on self development when they started in the industry. They tell me that without the personal development they would have never gotten to the levels they have achieved today. The majority of success has to do with what you think about what you do and not just what you do alone.

I have purchased almost every resource that Leadership Team Development (LTD) has available and many of the successes I’ve achieved have been a result of the mindset I came to have from studying those materials and events.
