A Quick Guide to the Female Genitalia

Being able to experience great sex is an important part of any relationship, and a relationship that experiences great sex is an important goal in your personal development. A greater knowledge of sex is necessary, since many of the biggest problems concerning sex and sexuality revolves around a lack of knowledge.

While knowledge of the male genitalia is reasonably straightforward, since most of the important parts for experiencing great sex are on the outside of the body and easily visible, this is not the case with the female genitalia, since the most important parts for her are on the inside of her body. So today I’d like to introduce you to the various parts of your woman’s genitals, hoping that this will allow you to understand what the different parts are and how you can use them to improve your sex life.

So let’s get started!

ON THE OUTSIDE – starting at the top, there is the mons Venus, the front commissure and the vulva, which consists of the labia majora, labia minora, frenulum, clitoral hood, clitoral glans, the vestibule (consisting of the urinary meatus and introitus), the fourchette and the perineum.

ON THE INSIDE – starting at the top, there is the pubic bone, the clitoral shaft, the crura, the vestibular bulbs, the urethral sponge, the urethra, the Grafenberg spot, the anterior fornix, the vagina, the cervix and the perineal sponge.

1/ The MONS VENUS, sometimes called the mons veneris (but I like Venus better) is the “love mound” of a woman and is situated over the pubic bone and above the vulva. It can be used in genital massage since it contains some erectile tissue under the surface.

2/ The FRONT COMMISSURE is a small area of flesh between the bottom of the mons Venus and the top of the clitoral hood. It is sensitive and will arouse your woman if you touch it. It is best used for positioning the upper lip of your mouth during cunnilingus (oral sex on women).

3/ The VULVA is the main area of the external female genitalia and encompasses most of the parts mentioned below. It is the focus of attention for both intercourse and oral sex.

4/ The LABIA MAJORA are the fleshy, outer lips of the vulva and are usually covered with hair. They are best used during genital massage and often cover up the labia minora completely or almost completely, while in other women, the labia minora hang down between them.

5/ The LABIA MINORA are the soft, thin, inner lips of the vulva. They are highly sensitive and movement of them can stimulate the clitoris. They can be touched with fingers, tongue or penis and this can be highly pleasurable to the woman.

6/ The FRENULUM is the point where the top of the labia minora meet the bottom of the clitoral hood. It is extremely sensitive and is best stimulated by the tongue during oral sex, although the fingers can also be used.

7/ The CLITORAL HOOD is the fold of skin that surrounds the clitoral glans and shaft. It is designed to protect the clitoris from too much stimulation. For this reason, women usually touch this during masturbation, rather than the glans directly. You can lick around this during oral sex to give your woman pleasure, as well as massage it between two fingers or roll it gently between fingers and thumb to stimulate the clitoral shaft inside.

8/ The CLITORAL GLANS is the centre of the universe for female sexual pleasure as far as the outside is concerned! It is best stimulated by the tongue during oral sex, since it is so sensitive. You can also use wet fingers (not dry ones) to produce a clitoral orgasm for your woman.

9/ The VESTIBULE is the area inside the labia minora. It runs from the frenulum to the fourchette. Everything within it is pleasurable to the touch for a woman and it is the main area used to stimulate a woman during cunnilingus. You can also use hands or penis to stimulate this area if it is pleasurable to your woman.

10/ The URINARY MEATUS is the small hole where she urinates. It is usually sensitive to digital (finger) and oral stimulation and often pleasurable to a woman.

11/ The INTROITUS is the entrance to the vagina. It is highly innervated with many nerve endings and has the urethral sponge at the top and the perineal sponge at the bottom, beneath the surface of the vagina walls. It is pleasurable to the touch via tongue, fingers or penis.

12/ The FOURCHETTE is the lower fold of skin that completes the labia minora at the bottom of the vestibule. It is sensitive and pleasurable. It can be used as a substitute for the front commissure when placing your upper lip on a woman to give her oral sex from behind.

13/ The PERINEUM is the space between the fourchette and the anus. Pressing here with fingers or penis will stimulate the perineal sponge beneath the surface of the skin, which will produce pleasurable sensations.

1/ The PUBIC BONE can be used for grinding during girl-on-top sex positions and it protects the female genitalia during intercourse.

2/ The CLITORAL SHAFT is inside the clitoral hood and is the part of the clitoris most women stimulate during masturbation. It feels like a thin cord that moves around inside. Massaging and touching the hood will stimulate the shaft to create a clitoral erection to turn on your woman for sex.

3/ The CRURA are the two “roots” of the clitoris that form a wishbone shape around the area beneath the surface of the labia majora. The extend down to the pelvic floor. Massaging the labia majora firmly will indirectly stimulate the clitoris via these “roots”.

4/ The VESTIBULAR BULBS are areas of erectile tissue surrounding the crura which expand when filled with blood. They can be stimulate by firm pressure on the labia majora from the outside. They are responsible for “puffing up” the vulva in appearance when the woman is aroused.

5/ The URETHRAL SPONGE consists of Skene’s glands that fill with prostate-like ejaculatory fluid when the woman is aroused. Firm pressure on the G-spot in a “milking” fashion and a “bearing down” by the woman as if she was going to give birth results in the fluid being squeezed out of the glands into the urethra, where it exits the body through the urinary meatus during female ejaculation. It is located above the vaginal opening and can also be stimulated from the introitus using the fingers.

6/ The URETHRA is a tube that usually delivers urine from the bladder to the outside of the body during urination. However, it is also used for female ejaculation to exit the ejaculatory fluid from the Skene’s glands. It is located within the urethral sponge (the sponge surrounds it on all sides, like lagging around a water pipe).

7/ The GRAFENBERG SPOT, or G-spot is not exactly a spot but more of an area on the front wall of the vagina some 2 inches inside the introitus. Pressing firmly on this with fingers or the penis will bring pleasure to the woman and give her a G-spot orgasm.

8/ The ANTERIOR FORNIX is an area deep within the vagina along the front wall, close to the cervix. Pressing firmly on this will produce an A-spot (or “deep” or “cervical” orgasm). It is best stimulated by two fingers, palm-upwards (the index and middle fingers).

9/ The VAGINA is the vacant space used during intercourse and filled by the penis. It consists of soft vaginal walls containing nerve endings that can cause pleasure. These walls feel ribbed to the touch when the woman is not aroused but smooth out and expand when she is. It can accommodate almost any size of penis, although lengths greater than 9 inches may cause pain.

10/ The CERVIX is a hard, tough, doughnut-shaped muscle with a hole in the middle. Its job is to let sperm into the uterus to fertilize an egg but not the penis. It can be reached by the middle finger when she is not around but moves way back during arousal. The penis bumps up against it during intercourse.

11/ The PERINEAL SPONGE is located on the back wall of the vagina close to the introitus. It is made of similar tissue to the urethral sponge. Placing the index finger on the perineum outside and the thumb on the sponge inside and massaging in this way will produce pleasure for the woman and an “anal” orgasm (even when you are not touching the anus).

So I hope this information will help you to find your way around your woman’s genitals and that it will improve your lovemaking skills so you can enjoy the amazing sex you’ve always wanted!
