1. What Type Of Design You Want Your Home To Have

The design of a crystal chandelier is the turning point that will either give your home a luxurious look or make it seem out of place due to a slapdash style. Keep in mind that creativity is a novelty, but common sense and inner taste is better if you are planning to get best crystal chandelier for your home.

Scout the market for available designs and list down the ones you find to your liking. You can even search them out on the World Wide Web for a much wider selection. Since this is a simple window shopping project, exhaust all the possibilities of your search until you got enough of your list for comparison to suit the theme of your home.

2. Size Matters

A big chandelier for a small home is not what you call elegant. To put it simply, the item will only stand out and give the interior an out-of-place look that would bode well with your taste. Before the purchase of a crystal chandelier, you need to decide where you plan to install it to pick the right one for that part of your home. Consider the size carefully and take some time to measure the dimensions of the room for the perfect chandelier to grace it with.

3. Illumination Counts

The crystal is not the only thing that makes crystal chandeliers a priceless home décor. It was originally designed as a lighting fixture to incorporate both beauty and practicality in a single package. Such is the case you need a crystal chandelier that provides enough lighting for that particular part of your home and nothing more.

Keep in mind that the number of light source on your chandelier does not define the intensity of the illumination. In most cases; the crystals hanging on it will amplify the light to give it a much brighter look. Again, compare them out before purchase.

The Plank Exercise for Beginners

Have you sent your entire life doing crunches with no results to show for it?

Then maybe it's time to stop. Crunches that require spinal flexion are not only ineffective but they are unsafe to do. Another option exists – another exercise that eliminates the extra stress on the column column and works your core all the way around. The plank exercise is the solution. Planks work wonders. The plank is an effective isometric hold that elevates the stabilization and power of your core (and we're all aware of how important it is to have a strong core).

Follow these steps to execute a proper plank hold:

  1. Begin by finding a soft surface and lying face-down,
  2. With your body fully aligned from head to toe, balance on your elbows / forearms and toes,
  3. Keep your abdominals tight by contracting them and the objective is to hold the plank for as long as you can or for a certain training time.

Nothing to it! Sounds simple right !? Try it out and let me know how it went.

Beginners often find the plank exercise quite eye-opening as it quickly presents any weaknesses in the core. Keep practicing and utilizing this exercise. The more you use it, the longer you'll be able to hold the plank and then the stronger your core will become.

Plank variations you can Integrate

The Side Plank (advanced)

The side plank is great for the obliques (lateral part of your core). To properly perform this variation, you need to turn to one side and balance yourself on your lower foot and lower elbow. The body has to be aligned the whole time. Target both sides of your core by performing the exercise on both sides.

The Modified Plank (for beginners)

If you are a beginner and you're struggling to hold the plank for more than twenty seconds, then this plank variation is for you. The modification is very simple – instead of balancing on your toes and your elbows, you are to balance on your knees and your elbows. This makes the exercise less challenging but it is a great starting point. Once you can hold a modified plank for a minute, you can move on to a regular plank.

The plank is the most effective and safe exercise for developing a rigid core. Start off slow, use the plank variations if needed and keep practicing. You'll be shocked by the results!

Planning an Engagement That's Truly Memorable

When it comes to planning marriage proposals, each of us has varied preferences and specific aspirations. This is why it's important to plan a special moment that will be memorable to your partner and to you as a couple. First off, always consider what your partner likes. You may be familiar with how popular surprise engagements are nowadays, those that usually include some drama and special participation of a mob. However, no matter how such engagements look good, the moment may be ruined if your partner is uncomfortable with all the attention from a lot of people. Consider first if you think your partner will prefer an intimate moment between the two of you, or if she will be happier with an engagement presented in a crowd (may it be with strangers or your own family and friends). Deciding on this particular issue will give you a good starting point for your planning.

Whether you're planning it to be with a crow or as an intimate moment between you two, make it a point to test the waters so you can decide on a perfect timing for the proposal. Drop some few conversations about taking your relationship further, talking about each other's opinions about starting a family and having kids. Even though you're already talking about taking your relationship to the next level, you can still plan the engagement to be a surprise without having her suspect anything suspicious.

Buying an engagement ring can certainly take a reasonable amount of your time and budget, so make sure you plan carefully. Consider her particular likes and dislikes on jewelry – you can usually refer to her usual fashion and lifestyle so you'll have an idea about the type of rings she prefers. You can also ask some of her friends and family members to help you on the ring shopping. However, make sure the planning is sufficient enough so as not to ruin the surprise. When going ring shopping, also make it a point to be equipped with the right info. If you're aiming for a diamond ring, for instance, make sure to know about the 4Cs of diamond jewelry, namely carat, color, cut, and clarity. Also research about standard market pricing for customized jewelry or wholesale diamonds. Remember to double-check the quality of the product, along with the reputation of the shop you're transacting with.

Apart from preparing the specifics – time and venue, details of the engagement proposal, who will be able to witness, organizing the food, flowers, and planning the perfect moment, among others – it's also essential to prepare some heartwarming speech to go with your "will you marry me?" question. It does not really need to be fancy, but remember to tailor your speech according to what and who your partner is.

Of course, the tips here may elicit varied reactions from different people. What's important to remember is to plan the engagement according to what you think your partner will like. Consider her personality, her fashion preferences, as well as her popular favorites. Planning the engagement according to what she likes and desires will surely make her feel more special and loved by you.

PVC railings are made from Polyvinyl Chloride, (a synthetic material made from petroleum product) is the material used in all PVC railing systems. This material can be extruded in form of circular pipes, square boxes. It can also be made into base posts by hot stamping or die extrusion. A versatile material, it has replaced wood in every sphere of construction activity because of its looks and durability.

The wooden material is slowly becoming costly as its availability is reduced, as forests get denuded. On the other hand, the PVC and CPVC material is getting cheaper as new methods of making PVC products are being injected and this reduces the cost of production of PVC material.

The PVC has a disadvantage of getting affected by exposure to sun. The Sun's UV rays damage the PVC material and it starts flaking and cracking. To prevent this, Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride is to be used for places where the suns rays fall directly on the railroads.

Aluminum Balusters For Decks And Your Remodel

We often find ourselves wanting to make certain changes to our homes, and one of the things that could be fun to modernize is the style of the banister on our decks. Most homes that were built over 15 years ago were built with decks made with wooden banisters, and one way to give them a modern look is to replace them with aluminum ones. There are several tools that you will need for a successful deck remodel, specifically epoxy glue, a pair of pliers, a saw, and stair balusters with shoes.

The first thing that you need to do is choose the aluminum for your balusters. You should have a picture or drawing of your deck staircase, so that your designer can see how many balusters there are. This will help your designer quote you a more accurate estimate. This is also when you will choose your preferred color.

Once you have your new aluminum balusters for decks in hand, you can then remove the current balusters that are already on your home. You only cut about 3/4 of the spindle out at first so that you can keep them from falling out completely. Then, take them out piece by piece, and remove the remaining nails with your pliers. Then you can measure where your new aluminum balusters will go. Once you have completed that step, you can cut each of your spindles to the right length.

After the measurements have been completed and the aluminum balusters for decks have been cut properly, you can begin putting your new balusters in place. You will just insert the new ones into the hole where the old one was removed and put the shoe on the bottom of it to help hold it in place. Once you have them where they need to be, you will need to epoxy each one together and nail them in place.

When doing your own baluster remodel, there are definitely some things that you need to consider. First, you need to make sure that you know what is required for your home, as there may be some restrictions on aluminum balusters for decks if your home is over a certain age or if your subdivision has certain regulations. You also need to make sure that you get all the right measurements or all your work will be in vain, and you will need to start the project over from the beginning. This will cost more time and money. Lastly, do not rush because if you hurry, that is when mistakes are more likely to happen and you will have a project that is incomplete.

Anything is Possible With Empowering Beliefs

One of the key determinants of whether or not we achieve the goals we set for ourselves in life is to what extent we believe success is possible for us. To embark upon any particular goal whilst simultaneously holding a limiting belief about achieving it is like trying to swim against a fast flowing river – no matter how hard we try, the current is always pushing against us.

Empowering Beliefs on the other hand free the mind of limitations, and allow us to believe that new things are possible: they unlock the chains which hold us back and open our minds to all kinds of new possibilities.

Remember the story of Roger Bannister, the first man to run a mile in under 4 minutes? At the time it was widely believed that it was impossible – For years, the 4-minute mile was considered not solely unreachable but, according to physiologists of the time, dangerous to the health of any athlete who tried to reach it!

But once Bannister had broken the 4 minute barrier what happened?

Within 46 days of Bannister's breakthrough John Landy, another runner considered one of the great milers of that era, who had never even got closer than within 1.5 seconds of the 4-minute barrier before surpassed Bannisters record by over a second. Within 3 years of Bannisters' record, 16 runners had logged sub-4-minute miles. So what happened? Simply that Bannister had broken a psychological barrier as well as a physical one. Everyone who had previously thought it impossible had their limiting belief shattered. Now in its place was an empowering belief that it could have achieved.

We will always have in ways consistent with our beliefs and values, and limiting beliefs can restrict our choices and limit our capacity to change the ways we have, and hold us back from achieving success. When you express limiting beliefs with statements like: 'I can not …', 'I have to …' or 'It is impossible to …'. These leave you with no choice or alternative possibilities, and are extremely disempowering. Too often, we get stuck in habitual thinking patterns and we can not find new ideas or solutions.

What limiting beliefs could you be holding, which no longer serve you or which hold you back from achieving the success and happiness you deserve? Think about some of the clichés you may unconsciously be holding as truths. For example,

o You can not have your cake and eat it
o Do not question authority
o What goes around comes around
o No pain, no gain

Also, think about the things you say to yourself which begin, "I'm too ……..", "I can not ….." or "I'll never ….. "

And how about the attitudes you have towards money, relationships and career success – what are your core beliefs in these areas?

One Empowering Belief it may be useful to adopt is that you can successfully challenge and change your own limiting beliefs!

You can do this very powerfully through the use of life coaching questions. For example, whenever you come across a limiting belief ask yourself questions such as:

o What would happen if you did not?
o What would happen if you did?
o What would happen if you were?
o What would happen if you were not?
o Who says?
o What stops you?
o How do you know?
o Has it ever been different?
o Has anyone else ever done it?

These types of question prompt a line of thinking which moves you from a perception that you have no choice to realizing that you do in fact have choices and possibilities for change.

Beliefs are like clothes that we can change to suit our situation and our circumstances – why do not you try a few new ones on for size!

Best wishes,

What You See is What You Believe

There are almost always both good and not-so-good things happening at any given time. What you choose to focus on is a big factor in the happiness equation. Sometimes people put too much focus on the past. If you choose to focus your mind on a negative event from your past and re-experience those emotions, you can actually create a trapped emotion about that event, even long after it has happened.

Stop for a moment and think about your own thoughts. During any given day of your life, do your thoughts tend to be more positive or more negative? Do you choose to dwell on favorable, positive things and decide to feel grateful, content and joyful or do you choose to dwell on negative emotions?

If you are in a troubled relationship, for example, there are almost always a number of good things that you can think of that you appreciate in your partner. Focusing on the good things about a relationship and giving your attention to its positive aspects can help to create gratitude and happiness for you. To do so may even open a way to create positive change, especially if it is your intention to build and reserve the relationship.

By contrast, whenever we place our focus on our problems and on the things that are going wrong in our lives, we end up creating more negativity.

I saw a movie once where a wise teacher told his student, "Remember, your focus determines your reality." How true that statement really is! You can see a glass as being half-full or half-empty, but seeing the glass as half-full is more empowering and will create a more positive reality for you. Feeling positive emotions about what you want will literally help you to create your dreams.

When you visualize your life the way you want it to be and feel the way that it feels as if you already had your dream, you will always find opportunities to create the things that make you happy right in front of you. Focusing on the things that you do not want and feeling negatively will either create or perpetuate those same negative problems in your life.

For example, if you spend your time thinking about how you can not seem to find love, the signal you are sending out to the universe is that you can not find love. As a result, you will not find it, or it will at least be more difficult to find.

We are constantly radiating our thoughts into the cosmos. I believe that these thoughts fill the immensity of space, and that they are not limited by the speed of light or any other limitation. Our thoughts are powerful, and what we think and feel is what we create.

When you free yourself of negative trapped emotions, you will find it easier to choose the positive emotions that will help you to attract what you really want in your life.

Have you ever made a statement like, "My husband makes me so mad …" or "That made me so depressed …" or "That put me in such a bad mood"? Statements like these are very common. If you listen to yourself more closely you might catch yourself saying something similar. If you stop and think about statements like these, you will realize they're quite ridiculous. The fact is that nobody can make you feel any emotion that you do not choose to feel.

Things that happen to you do not really determine the emotions that you feel. While you may not have conscious control over all of the events that affect your life, you do have the ability to choose how you think, feel, and act. No matter what happens, you absolutely choose the emotions that you feel.

Many of us unwittingly become victim to our emotions at times. You may not believe that you are in control of how you feel. Negative emotions can emerge so quickly that it may appear as if there is no time to choose a different emotion than the natural reaction emotion that just seems to come out of now. If you are late for an appointment, you may automatically feel anxious. If someone fears you rudely, you might automatically feel miffed. When you are insulted or upset, you may immediately feel resentful or angry.

While you may have always responded in a certain negative way to a given situation, your past negative responses do not have to be the same as your future responses. You have a choice every time you need to deal with or confront something negative. You can choose to react how you have always reacted or you can choose differently. The past does not have to equal the future.

The reality about emotions is that you always choose them. You always choose how you feel. Always. Becoming aware of this is in itself quite empowering. You are the author of your own emotional experiences. You can choose whatever emotion you want in any situation you are faced with. It takes some practice, and it's not always easy, but it can be done.

The next time you find yourself filled with a negative emotion, stop and think about the process you went through to arrive at that feeling. It may seem like the emotion chose you, but you really did choose the emotion.

The Impact of Frontal Lobe Injuries

Because of the size and location of the frontal lobe, this is the most common area to be injured. A traumatic injury to this part of our brain can affect problem solving, short term memory loss, motivation, judgment, impulsivity, behavior, perception, attention span difficulties, rationality, apathy, inhibition (possibly social or sexually explicit behavior), strategizing problems, and decision making.

A very common defect of frontal lobe injury is perseveration which is non-compliance with rules. There may also be difficulty in interpreting cues to guide behavior. This can have a serious affect on interpersonal relationships; especially if perseveration is not acknowledged by the survivor.

A brain injured survivor is considered to be in denial when deficiencies are unacknowledged. Denial hinders rehabilitation and recovery. It also has a detrimental affect on relations.

Personality changes can generally be significant with this type of injury. The changes will be dependent upon the survivor's shortcomings and upon his / her acceptance of the injury and willingness to work towards a new life through adaptations and adjustments.

Studies have found that some survivors with frontal lobe injuries have difficulty understanding some types of humor; many prefer the slapstick variety. In some cases however, the personality may become flat with no sense of humor and little facial expression.

Abstract thinking can also sometimes be affected. The ability to understand others allows us to feel empathy, sympathy, and to realize when others are being sarcastic or deceptive. Other areas of the brain can sometimes adapt to be able to take over the functions of the damaged area; This is more likely if the injured person is young. Additionally some sufferers of a frontal lobe injury may have problems consistently performing a task which may make job performance difficult.

Intensive therapy following this type of injury, according to some studies, is important towards achieving successful rehabilitation. Sadly, in many communities there are few resources available for brain injured survivors. In some cases unfortunately, the injured person is a defendant to participate in programs that would assist him / her in recovery.

Frontal lobe injuries change the brain injured survivor's life; in most cases forever. This will be more evident in some people than in others because no two brain injuries are the same.
