There should be proper space for the keyboard, mouse, and video display in your rack. Additionally, there should also be space for placing tape drives or tape libraries in accessible positions.

Cooling Options:

If you are putting sides and doors on your computer rack, it is important that you consider the airflow needs of your hardware. Some considerations of a self-designed rack incluce proper cooling elements such as vents and fans to take away the excess heat.
