Recipe for Hot Crab Dip

What You Need

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup non-fat sour cream
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Pinch of garlic salt to taste
  • Up to 1 Tablespoon of milk (only if necessary)
  • Dash of Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 – 3/4 pound crab meat, fresh or canned
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese of your choice
  • Crackers and Chips for dipping

How to Make It

Pick any shell fragments out of crab. Set aside.

In a bowl, mix up the cream cheese, sour cream, mustard, lemon juice, garlic salt, blue cheese crumbles and Tabasco sauce until it is smooth. Add a little milk if the mixture is too thick. You want it to be dense and creamy.

Fold in the crab meat carefully.

Pour mixture into a greased 1 quart casserole dish and top with grated cheese.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
