Ideas For Recycling an Old Trampoline

Probably everyone had a trampoline back in the day. Now that you’ve bought a brand new trampoline, what do you do with the old one? You don’t have to throw it away! Here are some ideas if you’d like to try and recycle an old trampoline.

Idea 1

Trampoline mats are generally made of canvas or woven polypropyne. You can recycle woven polypropylene. If you’re going to reuse this material, you can use it as a picnic mat or groundsheet under a tent. Considering the tautness of the weave, you can also use the material as a dust sheet to guard flooring while painting or working on a project.

Idea 2

You can use various trampoline parts to create a tent. You can use the trampolene’s legs and 2 rounded portions of the trampoline to make the base of the tent. You can manipulate the frame and join parts together using ductape. Make sure you have a center support to hold up your tent-in this case use any one of the vertical portions from a trampoline leg. Once you have the frame, spread the trampoline fabric over the frame.

Idea 3

Use the trampoline mesh in various ways. Stretch it across two poles to grow your peas and beans on. You could also attach the mesh along a wall or fence to grow ivy on to give your property more privacy. You could even sow it up into a large sack to store your sports equipment on. Another idea is to make a tote out of it for laundry or your craft projects.
