He was on vacation at his summer home in Westport, New York and had a breathtaking view of the Adirondack Mountains surrounding him. Taking 11 slabs of wood, a unique chair was created and was named for its nearby mountain range.
The original features of the chair have a straight back and seat which was placed in a slanted position that resembles a slight V. The rest of the features resemble the original concept with the back rest being taller than most standard chairs and extends all the way past the head.
