How To Contact Perfect Strangers For Business

Does CAN-SPAM laws sound like the most boring topic ever?

Do you need to know it as well as you know your conversion stats?

Only if you want to avoid SERIOUS fines or worse.

Let’s see if we can inject some fun into this topic while keeping you and your business out of hot water with the U.S. government.

First of all, if you want to win bets with fellow marketers at conferences, bet them that they can’t tell you what CAN-SPAM stands for. Frankly, until I looked it up a second ago, you would have won that bet with me.

CAN-SPAM is the, “Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act of 2003.” It’s legislation passed by the U.S. Congress that regulates commercial email.

9 out of 10 marketers will tell you they know what the CAN-SPAM Act entails, until you start asking them questions. Then usually all they can tell you is this:

1. Don’t send unsolicited emails

2. Place your business address on the bottom of every email

3. Make it easy for people to unsubscribe to your list.

And that’s a pretty good answer, but it’s not enough to keep you out of trouble.

Here’s what you need to know:

· Each violation of the Act can result in a fine of up to $40,654. That’s PER EMAIL. I’m guessing I have your attention now?

· The Act doesn’t just cover bulk email – it covers ALL commercial messages, which the law defines as “any electronic mail message the primary purpose of which is the commercial advertisement of promotion of a commercial product or service, including email that promotes content on commercial websites. Whew, what a mouthful.

· Spam is defined as “unsolicited commercial email.” Thus any email you send that is commercial in nature and the recipient didn’t ask for is technically spam. Right about now there are readers thinking to themselves, “Oh #$%&, I think I may have sent spam.” Yup. If you’ve been marketing for any length of time, there’s a good chance you sent spam and didn’t even know it. That’s because…

· There is NO exception for business -to- business email. This means ALL email, such as an email asking another marketer to promote your product, must comply with the law.

Here’s a rundown of CAN-SPAM’s main requirements. I want to get this EXACTLY right so I’m going to take it right off of the FTC’s website:

1. Don’t use false or misleading header information. Your “From,” “To,” “Reply-To,” and routing information – including the originating domain name and email address – must be accurate and identify the person or business who initiated the message.

2. Don’t use deceptive subject lines. The subject line must accurately reflect the content of the message.

3. Identify the message as an ad. The law gives you a lot of leeway in how to do this, but you must disclose clearly and conspicuously that your message is an advertisement.

4. Tell recipients where you’re located. Your message must include your valid physical postal address. This can be your current street address, a post office box you’ve registered with the U.S. Postal Service, or a private mailbox you’ve registered with a commercial mail receiving agency established under Postal Service regulations.

5. Tell recipients how to opt out of receiving future email from you. Your message must include a clear and conspicuous explanation of how the recipient can opt out of getting email from you in the future. Craft the notice in a way that’s easy for an ordinary person to recognize, read, and understand. Creative use of type size, color, and location can improve clarity. Give a return email address or another easy Internet-based way to allow people to communicate their choice to you. You may create a menu to allow a recipient to opt out of certain types of messages, but you must include the option to stop all commercial messages from you. Make sure your spam filter doesn’t block these opt-out requests.

6. Honor opt-out requests promptly. Any opt-out mechanism you offer must be able to process opt-out requests for at least 30 days after you send your message. You must honor a recipient’s opt-out request within 10 business days. You can’t charge a fee, require the recipient to give you any personally identifying information beyond an email address, or make the recipient take any step other than sending a reply email or visiting a single page on an Internet website as a condition for honoring an opt-out request. Once people have told you they don’t want to receive more messages from you, you can’t sell or transfer their email addresses, even in the form of a mailing list. The only exception is that you may transfer the addresses to a company you’ve hired to help you comply with the CAN-SPAM Act.

7. Monitor what others are doing on your behalf. The law makes clear that even if you hire another company to handle your email marketing, you can’t contract away your legal responsibility to comply with the law. Both the company whose product is promoted in the message and the company that actually sends the message may be held legally responsible.

Now, I know you’re building your list with people who have ASKED to be on your list. And when they want to leave your list, you have that handy dandy link they can click.

What about those times when you’ve contacted someone – say, another product owner, a business owner, a blog owner, etc., – and proposed something?

“I have this URL which is really close to yours, want to buy it?”

“I have this great product your list would love, want to promote it?”

“I have this terrific service that will bring you new business, want to look at it?”

These are all technically spam. And if reported and acted upon by the FTC, you could get into trouble.

Now, most folks will never bother to report you, even if they are miffed. But it only takes one or two to start trouble.

So in this case, what might you do?

First, I’m no lawyer. Remember that. This is NOT legal advice. But I can tell you the methods I use:

· If I get a referral from somebody, I use that referral in my initial email. “Jake told me (this and this about you) and he said I should contact you and see about possibly setting something up.” No one (in my experience) is going to mind getting this email because you’ve mentioned the mutual friend. Heck, it wasn’t even your idea.

· I don’t ask for what I want in the initial email. Frankly, I might not ask for days or even weeks. Instead, I focus first on building a relationship. “Hi Ellen, I see you’re in the __ field and I just wanted to introduce myself.” No one ever has enough professional contacts, so this nearly always gets a positive response.

· I give them kudos for something they’ve accomplished. “Rashim, I just finished reading your book and I loved it. Here’s what you taught me (Here I list my 3 biggest takeaways). Anyway, just wanted to thank you for writing this great book, I’m going to recommend it to my fellow marketers.” This nearly always gets a response.

In any email I send, I put my contact info including website, social media and Skype. Whether I ask them to contact me or not, they almost always do, and usually it’s by email after they’ve checked out my website.

Out of respect for their time, I keep initial emails short and to the point. I don’t solicit. I do close with something like, “If I can be of help to you, please let me know.”Don’t worry about offering your help – professionals generally don’t take advantage of each other, and if they were to ask for something crazy, you could always say no.

If I had to sum up how to send an unsolicited email to a fellow marketer in three words, it would be this:

Make it personal.

When you’re mentioning a mutual friend, complimenting them on something they did, or simply reaching out to meet a fellow marketer, no one in their right mind is going to get upset or cry foul, at least in my experience.

There – you now know enough about CAN-SPAM to avoid any ridiculous fines or knocks on your door by the FTC. If you have questions, please visit the FTC website or contact your lawyer.

And if you’re the guy who keeps sending me those Viagra ads – seriously? Dude, it’s time you learned how to market the real way. You’ll sleep better at night and you won’t have to hide anymore. Think about it.

Patio Bar Stools Provide the Outdoor Seating and Backyard Design Finishing Touch

Space is quite an issue in almost every household nowdays. And if there is a problem, the homeowner always finds a solution. Not enough work space in the garage? Well, just buy a new work bench with lots of shelves and provisions to accommodateate tools. Insufficient storage area for mower and other garden tools? Well, you can buy an affordable outdoor vinyl shed. Crowded patio during parts? Well, would you extend your patio just to provide more space? The answer to that is a big NO.

Having a crowded patio during patio parties is really a headache, and especially when it suddenly rains and all your guests who are frolicking in the garden would need to seek Shelter in the patio itself. For some people, the logical solution to this issue is to simply extend the patio. That would be the perfect solution if you are a millionaire with ample amount of money at your disposal. However, it is not the most pragmatic solution. Why extend your patio and spend unnecessary money when you can have more space in your patio if you have the right patio bar stools.

Benefits of Patio Bar Stools:

Regular chairs consume a lot of space because of their bulky construction. Patio bar stools, on the other hand, have a narrow built. Thus, they can allow you to have more space in your patio bar. And that is not the only advantage of having stools for your bar.

If you have the right patio bar stools, you can hike the aesthetics of your outdoor bar. It would certainly be awkward if you have regular chairs or stools in your bar. Having matching patio stools would give your bar a more elegant look.

Another benefit with having patio bar stools is that your guests would feel more comfortable while they are having their favorite drinks in the bar. Stools for the bar are not just built to provide more space and beauty to the bar design, but they are also made to give maximum comfort and convenience to guests who are fond of drinking. Patio stools are built with foot rests so that drinkers can casually seat on them. Also, some patio bar stools are equipped with arm rests that can hold a glass of beer or wine. Other patio bar stools come with swiveling mechanisms that allow the stools to be turned from side to side with ease.

Materials and Types of Patio Bar Stools:

The cardinal rule on choosing an outdoor bar stool is that it should match your patio's design. Wooden stools are perfect for traditional wooden patios. But if you have a casual-looking patio, you might as well get casual stainless steel bar stools. Stainless stools are definitely a great choice for your home bar. For one thing, you can be sure that it will last for a long time. The problem with these stools, though, is that they are hard to move around because of their heavy construction. If you still want to have the casual look that a metal stool would offer, then you can settle for stools made of aluminum. Known for being ultra-light, you will have no problems moving them around. And because it is non-corrosive, aluminum patio stools would last for a long time as well.

Ultra-modern chrome and vinyl padded patio bar stools and exotic rattan and bamboo stools are also available for homeowners with modern-looking and exotically designed patios.

Corporate Video Production – How Much Do Graphics Cost?

After completing the filming of your corporate video production, you go into the post production suite where the video editing begins. Now the script starts to come to life through the magic of editing and all the pieces mentioned in the original plan will now come together. After the story is structured, graphics, animations special effects will be added increasing the production value of your film and the impact to your target audience.

An editor with intellectual diligence and master skills will include the graphics and titles where they are needed to give a clear idea of your product. Animations, light effects and sound effects enhance the video where needed and where there is motivation to do so. Indicating your address, your phone and other prudent information should also be added as a call to action in order to let the public know where you or your products/services are available.

Arriving at this point, your promotional video is what you were waiting for; a master tool conceived and developed to increase sales, awareness, and interest towards your company, products and/or services.

How to find the right editor for your project?

Editing requires experts! Editors are highly skilled artists and technicians prepared to make the best out of your production in order to enhance the quality of your Corporate Video. Technology for film editing is improving day by day, and the person or persons that will take care of this very important part of your creation are prepared to put in the effort until the video conveys the needed message. After all, a great video usually goes through several edits to get it right.

How Much Do Graphics Cost in Corporate Video Production

The editing process begins with importing the video footage, logging, and assembling the footage into sequences and scenes.

Next, the rough cut stage is where the editing gets more focused on eliminating shots/scenes from the assembly edit. After the rough cut, the edit goes into a fine cut stage where the film is fine-tuned and finessed. During this process, the picture is enhanced and graphics, titles, motion graphics, animations are added. Once the fine edit is complete and the picture is locked, the video will go into post sound for audio editing and mixing. This is where the audio levels are balanced, music and sound effects are added as well as mixed and mastered.

As the sound editing is being done the picture can be color corrected. This is a very important stage, which consists of colour balancing the footage as well as correcting contrast and brightness of each shot. If multiple cameras, animations, visual effects, and compositing are incorporated this is where the picture is fine-tuned so everything is seamless.

Finally, you will find that editing costs will vary depending on many factors such as the length of the film, the number of graphics, titles, animations and special effects applied. Single scenes will require less editing than complex scenes taken from many different angles.

Cost per hour will vary for a short video depending on what’s required and the corporate video production company you choose. On average hourly rates will be between $150 to $250 per hour for graphics, titles, motion graphics and animation. These elements take time to design and implement into an edit plus there is rendering time to take into account. Today, most of the videos include graphic elements, motion graphics, and animations. With advancements in technology, some post production processes have been streamlined to save time. Having said that the post-production process is time-consuming because it affects the final quality of the video and really depends on what the video needs to communicate the message effectively.

The editing cost should be considered from the very beginning of the corporate video production process. No matter how long it takes, when you pay for it, you’re paying for the excellence of a perfect product. Rethink your budget if you are thinking about reducing the time for video and audio editing because it will impact the overall video.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost may vary depending on the complexity of the graphics to be used from a conservative $$880 to $1200 per day to a greater amount, if you wish to use 3D animations or high-tech new equipment for spectacular movie effects.

Most graphics and animations will be created with your direct participation in the design and impact. An expert editor will understand that you are investing in a promotional video and will let you know if your product or service requires these elements. Your ideas, vision, and budget will dictate if motion graphics, animations, and added post-production is required for your project. The use of text and graphic iconography are widely accepted and effective ways to engage your audience.

Installing Rope and Flexible LED Strip Lights on Your Deck or Dock

Can you install ROPE LIGHTING on your DECK and/or DOCK? YES – For years we’ve had rope lights on our dock that began with decorating the dock area during the holidays. They’re easy to install, fairly inexpensive and puts out just the right amount of low-key, indirect, ambient lighting.

For those who want to have rope lighting as a more permanent form of accent lighting, there are rope lights constructed for this purpose. WATERPROOF FLEXIBLE LED STRIP LIGHTS are specifically made for the outdoors.

Waterproof Flexible Strip LED lights offer the perfect solution to creating energy-efficient, stylish accent and mood lighting. Strip lights are discreet, flexible, and can be cut to fit your area, and since they come with a strong adhesive, they can be mounted virtually anywhere. Available in multiple colors you can create special effects on practically any surface, marine, auto and/or home.

Steps to Install Rope Lights: The simplest and most common method to install rope lighting is to nail it on the surface using cable clips. You need cable clips, a hammer, a power source and the rope lighting. The time needed for installation depends on the length of the rope.

1. Decide where to install the rope lights – Choose where you want to install the rope lighting. In most cases, the rope lighting is installed on the ceiling, the roof trusses or on the floor decking in order to produce the desired results. Consider the position of the source of power to ensure that your rope reaches the socket.

2. Mount the rope lighting – Use the hammer to clip the lighting on the surface. Slide the rope in the open arcs of the cable clips during the installation as you twist it in your desired pattern. Ensure that the hammer does not miss the target while hitting the clips because it can destroy the rope lighting.

3. Test their output- Switch off the socket, and plug the rope lighting in. Use the extension cord if the length of the rope lighting does not reach the power outlet. Switch the socket on to see if it lights.

Quick answers to the most common questions

• Do I need a controller for my strip lights? A controller is optional but adds the ability to turn your lights on and off and control other features such as dimming.

• Can I connect multiple strips? Strips can be connected end to end up to various meters, depending on your product.

Steps to Install Flexible LED Strip Lighting with Solderless Connectors:

1. Materials Needed – Have all your materials ready. You will need scissors, LED flexible strip lights, a connector, ruler (if needed), and a set of hands.

2. Measuring how many feet of LED strip you need – You may have your LED strip light sent to you in a roll (16 feet) or by the foot, depending on the quantity ordered. Decide how much flexible LED strip lighting you will need for your project. Since the LED strip can only be cut every third LED, you may have to go slightly over or under your desired specification.

3. How to cut the LED strip – As you can see below, the flexible strip light can only be cut along the designated lines. Take a sharp pair of scissors and cut along the line.

4. Pay attention to positive and negative markings – IMPORTANT: Notice the positive and negative sides of the LED strip light. This is important for the next few steps. Sometimes when you cut the LED strip light, things can get mixed around.

5. Introduction to the connector – Each connector has two sides. To insure you have the correct side up, make sure the wider of the white sides faces up. This is the top. BE GENTLE and pull the locking device out away from the wires. Do not pull on the wires to do so, as the connector is fragile.

6. Attaching the connector to the LED strip – IMPORTANT: Color does not always matter! Make sure you follow the positive side of the flex strip down through the connector wire to the power supply. Red/black can either mean (+) or (-) depending on what side you have hooked the connector to.

7. Securing the tray to the LED light – In the example below, if we were to attach the connector to the other side of the flexible strip light, the red would be negative and the black positive. Next, GENTLY secure the locking tray back in place, connecting the terminals of the LED flexible strip light to the connector. Be gentle and make sure the mounting tray is securely closed, or the lights will not work.

8. Connecting the LED strip to power – You are now ready to plug your LED Flexible strip light to the LED power supply. Match the positive and negative markings with the positive and negative wires from the power supply. Make sure the power is off when you do this.

If your strip lights do not light up:

1. Wire color does not always matter! Make sure you follow the positive side of the flex strip down through the connector wire to the power supply. Red/black can either mean (+) or (-) depending on what side of the LED flex strip you have hooked the connector to.

2. Another common problem is that the connector may be installed upside down; repeat steps above and try again.

3. Also, MAKE SURE the tray is closed all the way. Be gentle!

4. Check your power supply and make sure it is hooked up properly, with correct (+) and (-) as well.

5. How many feet of LED strip are you using vs how large your power unit is? If you are using 1 reel of 24 v Ultra bright with e 2.5 amp power unit, it will not work because the power unit is too small.

Sewer Repairs and Water Main Repair Services

Sewer repairs and water main repair are supposed to be the most important services that plumbers and technicians can offer. They in fact offer sewer replacement and upgrades to the residents in order reduce their hassle. It is a service that keeps homeowners miles away from the associated problems and conveys the wastage to the destination easily without any disruption.

Plumbers and technicians use different types of techniques to solve the problem of sewer malfunctioning. They often use trenchless technology for drain or sewer pipe repair. It is mainly applied through a clean-out with no cutting to the plumbing system. It is also known as a non-invasive way of sewer pipe repair. In this system, the liner is positioned within a translucent bladder and vacuum is created. Then the liner assembly is inverted through the clean-out. The process involves the use of a camera port that allows a lateral push camera to be inserted inside the translucent bladder, offering visual clear-cut verification of the liner placement. The same bladder is re-inverted and removed from the pipe to clear out the line.

Technicians use slab penetration technique also as an alternative to trenchless technology. It is a powerful technique of drain cleaning in which a hole is hammered into the slab in order to remove the dirt, sludge, hair and debris. The broken section of sewer pipe is eliminated and replaced with the new pipe at the same time. Plumbers inspect and evaluate the complete pipe line and if the old pipe is corroded and in ill shape, they replace the pipe line. Slab penetration is one of the most recognized techniques that help to clear out the dust and sludge. It is a complex process and can involve the removal of cabinets or flooring above the area in order to solve the problem.

In order carry out such precision-loaded tasks, you need to have an experienced and qualified plumber and technician. One who can understand the problem and recommend the best possible options to the problem. He must be able to carry out the sensitive and advanced plumbing processes easily, with complete knowledge of its advantages and disadvantages.

Only a qualified plumbing professional can perform the work well and in an efficient manner. Their fleet has all the required safety equipment to make sure a safe and clean underground excavation including, but not limited to: personnel barriers, reflective indicators, traffic cones, LED indicators, tools and machines, vehicle-based lighting, warning tapes, etc.

How Long Does it Take to Paint a Wood Window?

Well it’s all going to depend on the size and the design of the wood window, but you can plan on spending quite a bit of time, painting these intricate architectural items.

Let me give you an idea, I had to paint 7 wood windows, one time and these didn’t have any architectural details to them, they were simply plain old wood windows. The type of windows that were installed through out the 1950s and would need to be replaced or repaired, in the near future.

You’re going to find this hard to believe, but I used to paint the outside of the house, a small house, for $300, and a homeowner would supply me with the paint. I had to buy the rest of the materials, but I could paint the exterior of these small homes, in about a day and a half.

Except for the wood windows, this was a totally different story and I wouldn’t paint the wood windows each time I painted the house. I would often touch the windows up, but the amount of time that it would usually take me to paint these windows, was unbelievable.

Keep something in mind here, I could paint the entire house in about 12 hours, but it would take me about the same amount of time, just to paint the exterior of these windows and more than half of them wouldn’t open, because they were previously painted shut.

If the wood window has any sort of architectural detail, or any grids or divided lites, you could plan on spending quite a bit of time, painting each window. If you’ve never painted a wood window before, plan on spending at the least four to six hours, for window smaller than 3′ x 3′ and plan on spending at least eight to 12 hours, or more, for larger wood windows.

If you’re a contractor, who’s going to be bidding a job, you might want to contact a professional painter or at least get someone else’s opinion, before signing the contract.

If you’re a homeowner, and you hire a professional painter and they gives you a ridiculous bit, now you know why.

Care Plan 101 – An Introduction to Care Planning For Activity Professionals

Creating and implementing individualized care plans for residents in long-term care facilities is a very important responsibility of activity and recreation professionals. The activity assessment determinates the content of the care plan. Not all tenants will have an "activity-care plan", but most care plans should have "activity-related interventions" found in the comprehensive care plan. Care plans may be written regardless of if a resident triggers on the MDS 2.0.It is important to set realistic, measurable goals, interdisciplinary interventions, and create care plans that are individualized and person-centered.

What is a Care Plan?
The RAI user manual defines care planning as, "A systematic assessment and identification of a resident's problems and strengths, the setting of goals, the establishment of interventions for accomplishing these goals."

Why write Care Plans?
– Document strengths, problems, and needs
– Set guidelines for care delivery
– Establish resident goals
– Identify needs for services by other departments
– Promote an interdisciplinary approach to care and assign responsibilities
– Provide measurable outputs that can be used to monitor progress
– Meet federal and state requirements
– Meet professional standards of practice
– Enhance the resident's quality of life and promote optimal level of functioning!

What’s The Truth Behind Your Finances?

Between 15 – 20% of people in our country (UK) own there own businesses. This statistic is on the rise thanks to the incredible invention of the Internet. The staggering truth is that of these only 5% are genuinely financially free! You may well see lots of expensive cars driving on our roads and big houses inhabited by the seemingly wealthy, but these houses and cars are not yet paid for.

Never in our history has it been so easy to lend money. Banks and building societies are falling over backwards to lend us money. You can sign your life away to a 50-year mortgage these days if you choose! Banks and building societies are offering 125% mortgages to first time buyers and business is looking outwardly great.

The credit card companies also love today’s economy. You can borrow enough money on a credit card nowadays to buy a brand-new car! The loan companies are also cashing in on ignorant and naive individuals and this really concerns me. The advertisement marketplace is going wild on media adverts for consolidation loans. You know the type? “We will help you to consolidate all of your existing loans into one affordable monthly payment” They call this type of loan a HOME OWNERS loan. Yes you can consolidate all of your existing debts into one affordable monthly loan, but what do you call affordable? People are consolidating their present debts into one huge debt and loaning the money to repay this new debt. To actually repay this debt in full will take these people years. What’s more they’ve secured this loan on their one and only ASSET – their HOME!

These unfortunate people aren’t thinking about the future and their long-term future plans, they’re thinking about the immediate and present situation. In the meantime what happens when the interest rates begin to rise? The interest rates on a consolidation loan will take years to pay off and whilst you owe money to your lender you’re not secure at all because your consolidation loan is secured on your home.

What does this mean?

If you cannot pay your loan the Loan Company will TAKE YOUR HOME as payment!

The reason it is so easy to lend money at present is because the interest rates are so low. At the time of writing this web page our present government has set the base rate of lending so low that people are dangerously getting themselves into debt through their own ignorance towards the economy. What is really happening will become all too apparent in the next few years when the tide turns and the interest rates begins to rise sharply. If you’re not financially free or in control of your assets when the tide turns you will lose everything. History always repeats itself and sooner or later a recession will hit the world trading markets and all of those people who borrowed huge amounts of money to buy their big house and their BMW or Mercedes will be in big financial trouble.

Wait, it gets worse!

Once the tide turns the interest rates will saw and if you’re not secure your financial world will come crashing down. The mistake that people have made is to foolishly believe that their loan rates will remain the same, they won’t. Let me explain in simple terms to you my theory by giving to you a simple example:

If you have a current ‘interest only’ mortgage of say £100k and the interest rate applied is £5% your monthly payment will increase with the interest rate. What happens if the interest rate climbs to 10%? Your mortgage could double. In 1989 the interest rate sawed to 15%. If this happens (and it could) your present mortgage payments could treble! How will you survive financially?

Your mortgage payments could increase by 300% inside 12 months and any other loans you may have will also require payment. If your wage doesn’t allow sufficient funds to meet these demands than you will lose everything slowly and painfully. When the interest rates do begin to rise (and they will) the debt consolidation companies will cash in on you. Before you know it you could owe money for the rest of your life and if you can’t pay what you owe than your lender will take your car your home and the clothes off your back to meet their demands.

My advice to you is to pay off your existing debts as quickly as possible. If you are driving around in a car that is financed by a finance company pay this loan off as quickly as possible. Contact the finance company and ask them for a final settlement figure. This way you’ll know exactly how much debt you’re in. If you can afford to settle your finance early than take advantage of this and settle immediately. This way you’ll own your car outright, you’ll have paid less in interest and you’ll have some equity if you need it. If you can’t afford to settle the finance at the present than check what interest rate you are currently paying and search around on the Internet or in the high street for a lower rate of interest. Whatever you do, don’t delay in taking control of your finances today.

Another mistake people make is to fall into the trap of ‘false economy’. They begin with the right intentions by searching for a lower rate of interest for their mortgage. What this means is that their monthly payments become lower. The mistake they make is to think they’ve got more money in their pocket. In affect this is a false economy. Instead of settling for more money in your pocket and still enduring a 10 year (or whatever) term loan ,why not use this extra money to increase payment on the capital of your loan?

This simple technique is called ‘Mortgage Acceleration’ The Banks and Building Societies know all about Mortgage Acceleration they just don’t mention it because it loses them lots of money in interest payments!

If you increase the capital payments of your mortgage every month you’re paying off the entire loan quicker. If you can shave 2 years off your loan you’ve not only shortened your mortgage by 2 years you’ll have saved yourself a packet in interest charges. A 25-year £50k mortgage repaid 16 years early could save you over £60k in interest! (dependent on the interest rate) Ask your Bank or Building Society about ‘Mortgage Acceleration’ and see the look of loss on their face!

Don’t settle for a lower rate of interest and extend your loan payments thinking that you’re saving money, you’re not. You are only extending your debt! You need to pay off this loan as quickly as possible whilst the interest rates are low. The longer you take to pay off your mortgage the more interest rate the Bank or Building Society will take from you. Whilst the interest rate is currently around 5% accelerate payment NOW and save even more money! Take advantage of the fact that if the interest rates are currently low than the amount of interest that you pay on top of your loan will be also low. If you can afford to increase payment whilst the rates of interest are low than I urge you take advantage of this immediately. If there is any way that you can accelerate your loan and pay it off early than I would strongly advise you to begin your financial organisation here and organise this today. A simple increase of £50 per month in mortgage payments will save you money in interest payments in the long run. Your first step to taking control of your financial world is to pay off all of your existing debts as quickly as possible. When you have no debts, you’ll be financially free and you’ll feel as if a huge weight has been lifted from your shoulders.

Contact the bank or building society that you have your mortgage with. Ask for a final settlement figure on your mortgage and also enquire into the current interest rate that you are paying. Chances are that if you’ve not checked the interest rate you are currently paying in the past 12 months than you could save yourself money immediately by choosing a better deal. There are currently plenty of lenders all willing to offer you competitive deals on your mortgage and I would advise you to check them all out before you commit yourself to one. A simple saving of 1% in interest can save you pounds every month. With this saving in interest payments, use this extra money to increase your capital payments. If you only manage to shave a year off the length of your mortgage it will be one less year that you are in debt and one year sooner to becoming financially independent.

Talking of your mortgage, if you currently have an Endowment policy running alongside your mortgage than investigate this policy thoroughly. Most endowment policies are useless in today’s interest market. What this means is that when your mortgage term ends there may be insufficient funds in your endowment policy to pay off what you owe to the lender. If this is true than your lender will be knocking on your door for this short fall. If you can’t afford to pay than you could lose your home after 25 years or more of payments! Recently I read that some Endowment policies were running a short fall of up to £13000! If this happens to you you’ll owe your lender £13k plus interest!

The smartest mortgage you can take is a straight ‘repayment’ mortgage. As well as paying the interest back to your lender you are also paying the capital off from the offset, therefore reducing the total amount you owe quicker. My advice is to accelerate your mortgage and pay it off as quickly as possible before the interest rates sky rocket and your payment doubles or even trebles. When the tide turns (and it will) you’ll be smiling in the content that you own your home and you own your car and nothing can take these away from you.

Use Your Office Time to Stay in Good Shape

The benefits of exercise in reducing stress and supporting the overall health of your body are well known. If you sit in an office at a desk all day, then you may feel you are forced to exercise only outside of work hours by walking, running or engaging in a fitness program at a gym. While this is certainly helpful, you remain fixed at your desk for hours on end each day. Essentially, you have a sedentary lifestyle interrupted by intense periods of exercise.

If you can add small bits of exercise to your day, throughout the day, the health benefits multiply. Keeping your muscles and heart working harder at various intervals during the day helps to reduce stress and builds endurance. Some people have developed a set of specific exercise routines that you can perform while sitting at your desk. That may work, but performing an exercise routine that distracts you from working where you count repetitions, breathe heavily and build up a sweat may create unwanted attention from your boss and co-workers.

You can make a few small adjustments to your work routine that will keep your body moving and add many minutes of exercise to your daily life. Begin with the place you park your car at work. Don’t pick the closest spot you can find next to the building. Park your car in the far corner so you have to walk a hundred yards each way. If your office is on a lower level of a skyscraper, take the stairs on the way up. At first, climbing three flights of stairs may leave you feeling breathless, but soon your muscles will strengthen and you will find the going much easier.

If your office is on the twelfth floor, walk up the first few floors and take the elevator from there. Of course, walking back down a few more flights of stairs is much easier. While we’re talking about the staircase, each time you get up to use the restroom, choose a restroom two floors up or down from your own. Take the stairs to the bathroom and you’ll be more relaxed when you get there. You will also feel stronger when you return.

If you spend hours on the phone each day, try standing up while talking. You’ll use more muscles and energy when you stand up compared to sitting and your voice will project better into the phone as your diaphragm relaxes. If you can make it work, replace your chair for as many hours as possible with a large inflatable exercise ball. Sitting on this ball as you work keeps the muscles in your legs, ankles and abdomen working to maintain your balance and forces you to maintain a good posture.

If you take breaks for lunch or coffee, add a ten-minute walk as part of the break. Better yet, use ten-minute walks as a quick stress-relieving tool and as a way to talk about an important or urgent topic with someone else. There is no need to sit at your desk and feel the stress level rise as the topic is introduced when you can keep the stress low while getting some exercise by walking and talking at the same time. Keep calm, be creative and keep moving for better health and optimal performance, all day long.

Refrigerator Repair: How to Identify Common Causes of Refrigerator Noise

Is your refrigerator keeping you up at night with its various moans and groans? When you need immediate relief from your noisy refrigerator, there are a few steps you can take. Follow these helpful tips from your local appliance repair shop:

  • Locate the source of the noise – Is the noise coming from the inside of the freezer, or the outside back of the refrigerator? Determining what area the noise is coming from will help you narrow down the possible components that might be causing the sound.
  • Troubleshoot – There are only a handful of parts in a refrigerator that typically cause noise. Once you have narrowed down the general location of the sound, you can begin troubleshooting various components to try to resolve the issue. While some issues can easily be fixed with minimal effort, others will require that you call in a professional who is trained in refrigeration repair.

Noise Inside the Freezer

Noise originating inside the freezer can typically be attributed to the evaporator fan, which runs whenever the unit is actively cooling. If you notice a chirping, squealing, or groaning sound that comes and goes (rather than being steady), it may be an issue with the fan motor. To find out for sure, open the freezer door and hold down the light/fan switch if there is one. If the sound gets louder with the door open, you can be pretty sure that the fan is the cause. Unfortunately, there is no way to repair the evaporator fan motor–you must replace the part in order to resolve the issue.

Noise from the Back of the Refrigerator

Most noises that you notice will come from the back of the refrigerator, where most of the moving parts are located. If you have a self-defrosting unit, the first place you will want to check is the condenser fan. The condenser fan is located on the back of the refrigerator, often behind a thin panel. The fan can occasionally accumulate a buildup of lint and other debris, causing a buzzing or clicking noise. You can try to resolve the problem by removing the thin cover to access the fan, and then cleaning the fan of any debris using a soft bristled brush (old toothbrushes are great for this!). Once the fan is clear of dust or other materials, replace the cover and plug the refrigerator back in. If you still have noise coming from the condenser fan after cleaning it, you may have to replace the part with the help of an appliance repair company.

If your refrigerator is making a rumbling, or purring noise from the back, it may indicate a problem with your compressor. The compressor is located in a football-sized case on the back of the refrigerator, near the bottom of the unit, and usually contains either black or copper tubes with a variety of colored wires. The compressor is typically a sealed unit, so it can not be replaced by a do-it-yourselfer. If you are able to isolate the problem to the compressor, you will need to contact a refrigerator repair technician to complete the job.

Noise from the Bottom of the Refrigerator

If you have noise emanating from the bottom of your refrigerator, it is likely coming from one of two places. The first, and easiest to resolve, is rattling from a loose drain pan. To fix this issue, simply tape the pan securely in place to stop the noise. If that doesn’t work, you may have an issue with the defrost timer. The defrost timer is located in the front of the unit, behind the kickplate. This part is actually a heating element located on the evaporator coil and can not be repaired. If you are experiencing trouble with the defrost timer, you may also notice a buildup of frost in your refrigerator or freezer. To have this component replaced, you should contact an experienced professional for installation of the refrigerator repair part.

When to Contact the Professionals

If you complete the above steps and still can’t determine where the problem is coming from, or if you need to replace a complicated part such as the compressor or defrost timer, you should contact your

local appliance repair service. In addition to providing you with thorough troubleshooting and safe, reliable repairs, most refrigerator repair technicians also offer routine maintenance, which can help you avoid problems down the road. With their help, you’ll be able to sleep soundly without being interrupted by strange kitchen noises well into the future.

How to Build a Solar Panel For Your Home

Reading all this article will give you some key steps on how to build a solar panel for your home. Have you had trouble finding good information on how to get started? Well do not worry, because I'm about to give you the information you've been looking for.

First and foremost; Forget what you've read or heard from people saying that it's not possible to build your own solar panel. How can you believe me? Because thousands of people are building them and using them for electricity every day. So if everyone else is doing it, why not you right?

Keep reading below and here is 9 steps on how to build a solar panel for your home:

1 . Before buying any of your solar cells, find out how many watts you need them to produce together. This will be determined by the charge of the battery you will be using.

2) . Figure out how many panels you want to build. You'll know this by figuring out how much power you want to produce.

3 . Make a box out of plywood. This is where you will be resting your solar cells.

4 . Once your box is built, apply UV-ray protective varnish to it. Doing this will avoid the plywood getting damaged from the sun, rain etc.

5 . Connect all of your solar cells together with tin wire.

6 . Once the cells have been wired together, you need to stick them to the base of your plywood box.

7 . Cover your box and solar cells with the plexiglass. You need to make sure once it's screwed into your box that it is sealed and water proof.

8 . Carefully look over the whole solar panel for small gaps or spaces that will allow any moisture to get in. If you find any be sure to cover them with silicon.

9 . Lastly, drill a small hole at the bottom of your box (Make sure it is not close to your wiring), this will allow air flow to avoid any moisture build up inside.

Did you think it would get a lot more complicated than that? Trust me, it's not. With carefully written instructions, diagrams and video, you too can build your own solar panel for your home.

TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons – A Review Of What's New

When TaylorMade decided to develop the new Burner 2.0 Irons they really challenged the old "if it is not broken, do not fix it" rule. They succeeded in their quest by incorporating some important engineering and design improvements with the new Burner 2.0 Irons.

Weight distribution was updated. With the short irons weight was repositioned higher to improve ball flight and was centered more to improve clubhead control. With the long irons, weight was moved back in the clubhead for easier launch, and toward the toe and heel for more arguing and stable ball striking.

TaylorMade also incorporated differences in face thickness. The long irons incorporated the thinnest faces. Thicker faces were incorporated progressively through the middle and short irons. Why? Because thinner face thickness accentuates higher COR to promote distance in the long irons and beefier face thickness promotes improved feel in the short irons.

TaylorMade also improved their multi-functional sole design by recessing the heel and toe and beveling the rear to reduce drag and promote more solid ball contact and they revamped their patented Inverted Cone Technology to deliver more predictable distance from club to club and shot to shot, And to enable faster ball speed on off-center hits.

To top all this off TaylorMade has showcased all these design changes with a hot new look. Their new "Burner Black" PVD finish looks great, is more durable and helps resist glare.

All in all the new TaylorMade Burner 2.0 Irons are just as long as the 2009 Burner Irons but they deliver improved playability, more refined feel and sound, and a really hot new look.

I guess the only bad thing about the Burner 2.0 Irons, and the 2009 Burners for that matter, is they incorporated a very "non-traditional" look. So if you are a "purist" these irons may have a bit too much of a "hi-tech" look for you.

Sports Injuries That Require Attention From a Shoulder Surgeon

Every now and then, we hear sportsmen suffering from injuries. While they tend to get hurt practically everywhere on their body, one of the most common spot that is susceptible to injury is the shoulder. The most common shoulder injuries seen on field include dislocations, Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) injuries, rotator cuff tear, shoulder labrum tear thrower’s shoulder, biceps injuries, bursitis and fractures. While dislocations and ACJ injuries are more common in contact sports, such as rugby and wrestling, rotator cuff tears and SLAP lesions are common in sports involving explosive heavy weight-lifting.

Usually, it is quite difficult to identify the severity of a shoulder injury. Which is why, people tend to ignore them further aggravating the injury. Thus, it is advised that early assessment from a skilled

Shoulder Surgeon or Therapist is the right way forward when experiencing discomfort in the shoulders.

There are number of injuries known to be common on field. The most prominent of which are listed below:

Shoulder Dislocations

Being the most mobile joint in the body also makes the shoulder potentially unstable. Therefore, it becomes a common joint for dislocations in the body. Minor traumas in the shoulder result in the shoulder to ‘pop out’ of the joint. To fix it, the doctor fixes it back into the joint following by rounds of physiotherapy.

But, more than half of dislocations hold possibility of recurrence, especially among the youth indulging in sports. Repeated dislocations lead to more instability and stretching of the shoulder joint that require long periods of rest and decreased performance. Therefore, it is generally recommended that one should opt for shoulder dislocation surgery before the injury aggravates.

Rotator Cuff Tears

The rotator cuff is a crucial bunch of tendons that provide movement and stability for the shoulder. Therefore, in the event of damage, pain and weakness in the area can be significant. Those who choose to fix these tears early show faster recovery. That’s because when left unattended, these tears get bigger and more difficult to repair later on. Rotator cuff repair can be done by keyhole surgery or open surgery.

SLAP Lesions

Superior Labral Antero-Posterior (SLAP) tears of the shoulder are common among those in sports requiring overhead throwing, heavy lifting and tackling. In most cases, the biceps anchor in the shoulder is forcibly peeled or pulled off its bone attachment by a large pulling or peeling force. This can occur during a heavy lift, hard throw, tackle or fall. As for symptoms, deep pain is experienced inside the shoulder owing to the heavy duty lifting action the patient is subjected to.

Arthroscopic shoulder surgery (keyhole surgery), is the recommended courses of action to treat such cases.

Shoulder Labrum Tear

The labrum is a cushion like muscle surrounding the socket of the shoulder joint that is susceptible to tear. Common causes behind these tears are attributed to falls or direct blows to the shoulder, but may also occur with throwing or pulling injuries. Larger tears are generally associated with shoulder dislocations and are called Bankart tears.

Shoulder Fractures

Fractures around the shoulder have always been difficult to treat surgically. But with new fixation devices and safer surgical techniques, doctors are now capable of fixing difficult fractures early and allow swifter recoveries from injuries.

How To Rebrand Practically ANY Link Or Text In Any PDF

Sometimes your customers tell you exactly what they are

looking for in a product, and even point out features, or

hidden benefits, of your existing products.

If you listen closely, they even show you whole new

ways of marketing your products.

The perfect example, offering a powerful marketing lesson,

in our new Viral Document Toolkit, a PDF brander and

Viral Document Toolkit was designed to allow a user to

create, or import and edit, a text document, or any document

created in the Microsoft Office Suite, Open Office Suite,

or related programs. It can also easily handle any RTF

After the file is edited in the Viral Document Toolkit

“Builder” specifying which parts are to be rebrandable,

it is saved in a special file format (a .vdt format).

That .vdt file, along with the Viral Document Toolkit

“Brander” is passed along to customers, joint venture

partners, affiliate, etc.

Those that you pass rebrandable files to, open the

Viral Document Toolkit Brander, browse to where a

rebrandable file is, and then open any file with the .vdt

Once the file is open, the program instantly recognized

all of the rebrandable portions of the document, and

displays them in a table where you can change any of them

that you choose to.

The Viral Document Toolkit software allows you to make

plain text, hyperlinks, and embedded hyperlinks rebrandable.

It even allows you to designate HUGE blocks of text as

rebrandable (replaceable). You can also rebrand hyperlinks

embedded behind images.

One of our potential customer was watching a video of the

Viral Document Toolkit which was posted on our site at:

[http://ViralDocument/] and noticed that the software

allowed you to do something ELSE that he wanted to do.

As he watched the demo video, and looked closely at the

types of files that could be opened within the Viral

Document Builder, he noticed that the dropdown list showed

no only Word, WordPerfect, RTF, etc., it also showed several

PDF options.

This customer instantly purchased the software because

he had a number of old PDF files that he wanted to update.

These files had links that no longer worked, and even

sections of text that were no longer accurate. He saw this

as the perfect tool to fix those problems.

When the customer purchased and began using Viral Document

Toolkit, he noticed that his version did NOT offer the

option for opening existing PDF documents.

He became VERY upset and quickly let us know that, accusing

us of “tricking customers.”

We explained to him that the Viral Document Toolkit was never

intended to allow you to modify existing PDF’s and that

it couldn’t do that. That capability never crossed our minds

as we developed the software.

The customer insisted that he had seen the software show

PDF’s as an option in the dropdown menu in the demo video.

Upon going back and reviewing my own video, I discovered

that he was correct. Viral Document Toolkit would indeed

allow me to browse to and open any PDF document that wasn’t

password protected or encrypted. If it was password

protected, it would open it if I had the password.

Further digging revealed what had actually happened. Viral

Document Toolkit uses the converters, and other “pieces”

internal to software already on your machine to identify

what types of documents are on your machine that it can

manipulate. It can “see” practically anything that’s a part

of the Microsoft Office Suite, for example.

The program was also “seeing” PDF converters that I had

downloaded and installed on my laptop when I was working

on other projects. On several occasions, I had documents

ONLY available in PDF that I needed in Word format so that I

could update them. These were generally documents that I

had created or purchased the rights to change them, but that

I couldn’t locate the source files for.

With the converts already installed on my machine, Viral

Document Toolkit did indeed have the ability to use the

pre-installed drivers/converters to change ANY PDF file that

I have except those that were encrypted or password

protected (where I didn’t have the password).

This customer has pointed out to us a “hidden benefit” of

using our software that we had not even sought to create. That

customer had pointed out to us a whole new segment of the

marketplace to us.

That customer had shown us that we did indeed have a

piece of software that would allow you to rebrand almost any

link in any PDF document.

It goes without saying that you should not violate

copyrights or licenses when changing PDF’s. However, an

observant customer taught us “How To Brand Practically

Any Link In Any PDF”
