Buying a Fire Safe

When buying a fire / waterproof safe for cash, valuables or data there are a few things you should think about.

1. How much do you have to spend?

2. What kind of items do you need to protect and how large are they?

3. How much protection do you want the safe to provide?

To a large extent the type of safe you buy will be dictated by your budget. As a rule of thumb you should always buy the most expensive you can comfortably afford. It may seem like a large outlay but compared to losing all your valuables and data it is a definite saving.

The type of items you wish to store will also alter the type of safe you buy. If you just want to fire protect cash and valuables you may not need a top of the range safe as cash actually can resist higher temperatures than normal paper. If you are going to be driving computer data you may need to invest a bit more as computer data is very sensitive to heat damage. Storing large bulky files will mean you need to look at fire data cupboards rather than traditional fire safes. If you can not afford one large safe or space is an issue look at buying two or more smaller safes you can put in different places. This also has the added bonus of not "putting all your eggs in one basket".

The fire rating you need will be dictated by the type of materials you need to protect. If you are protecting computer media then you will need the appropriate safe. Fire Data Safes maintain an interior temperature of 52 ° C or less to protect computer data. A safe that will only be storing paper files and documents could have allowed a higher internal temperature, around 175 ° C.

Many fire safes are also waterproof but you should always check this. This gives you the added peace of mind that your documents are also protected from flood or water leak damage. It is also important because once the fire brigade does arrive at your home or business they will of course douse the building in water. Having a fireproof safe may turn out to be no good if your documents are then destroyed by water.

If your safe is not on the ground floor you should ensure your safe has been impact tested. Impact testing involves super heating your safe and then dropping it from height (usually 30ft). This simulates what would happen if the floor cave way in your building during a fire.

Most fire safes will usually come with a replacement guarantee however you should always check. This is because once a safe has been in a fire it is no longer considered fire safe anymore and should be replaced.

Buying Paint For Your Home

So you have decided on the perfect color for your walls. Great, so you are ready to go buy your paint but wait. how much should you buy? If you buy too little you will have to go back to the store and try to match the same color. If you buy too much you are just throwing money away. So how do you choose how much paint to buy?

First you need to accurately measure your wall space. Multiply the length by the height of each wall and add those numbers together. If you will be painting the ceiling the same color you should multiply its length by width and add that to the total. Do that for all of the rooms that you will be painting and add the totals together. now multiply that number by 15%. The extra 15% accounts for waste, spillage and a little extra left for touchups.

Now that you have your total you need to find the spread rate of your paint. This is the number of square feet that the manufacturer says the paint will cover per gallon. This number will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer but will generally be around 3 to 4 hundred square feet per gallon. Divide this number into your total square footage of wall space any you have the number of gallons that you need.

That is all there is to it. It is very easy to calculate the amount of paint you need so don’t take the chance of just guessing. Take the time to do the measurements and assure yourself a smooth house painting experience.

Toyota Lexus GS300: Venerable Luxury with Durable Toyota Parts

High equipment levels and meticulous quality and refinement have been the formula for building and maintaining the Lexus. It icons a fresh design approach, re-engineered from the ground up.

Dominated by a long cabin with steeply angled front and rear glass, the windows allow plenty of light into the well-organized interior. The Rear passengers get plenty of legroom – the wheelbase has been lengthened by 50mm – and large quarter-windows.

The GS300 Sports at $ 95,000 includes climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, auto headlights and wipers, reversing camera and steering wheel audio controls. Health Insurance for Seasonal Workers – Bridge Policies

As always, let me disclaim that I am NOT a health insurance agent or expert. I am just sharing what I have learned and recommending you consult a professional. Without a doubt, I do recommend taking the time to really educate yourself about your health insurance options if you are buying your policy independently.

I HAD heard of bridge policies – designed to act as a gap between loss of coverage for whatever reason and the next opportunity to enroll in "Obamacare." Going forward, I'll use the official abbreviation of the ACA for the Affordable Care Act. These policies are NON -ACA compliant.

That means they HAVE exclusions for pre-existing conditions.

It also means they are substantially … SUBSTANTIALLY less expensive.

Here is the kicker, and what I did NOT know. You can buy bridge policies as an ongoing method of insurance.

As long as you do not have one of the pre-existing conditions that would exclude you, such as a heart condition, cancer, etc, you are allowed to just purchase these types of policies, instead of ACA compliant ones. There are a couple "gotchas" that I want you to be aware of:

1) Talk to an Independent Health Insurance Agent

The "Navigators" that are part of the ACA process can not talk to you or really give you guidance about health insurance in general. They can only talk about differences between their ACA-compliant policies. Ask your insurance agent if bridge policies would be an option for you.

2) Timing Matters

Bridge policies are for a specific period of time, up to 12 months. If you develop an exclusionary condition while covered, you will not be able to get another bridge policy when it ends. You can only sign up for ACA during open-enrollment (unless you have an exemption like losing a job). So, it might be wise to time your policy end date during open-enrollment. Ask your insurance agent.

3) There IS a penalty

There IS a tax penalty for choosing this option. Talk to your accountant. For my family, the combined cost of the penalty AND the bridge policy was still considerably less than the premium for an ACA compliant policy.

4) Stay Healthy

Without a doubt, the key to using these policies is being healthy. If you already have an exclusionary condition, then most likely they will not work for you. But if you can stay healthy, bridge policies may be an affordable alternative.

Talk to an Insurance professional.

I recently read that one thirty-minute walk per day can make an incredible difference in your overall health. See you on the trail.

The Vision of Pakistan

"It is wrong not to lay the lessons of the past before the future."

[Winston Churchill: The Gathering Storm]

The association of Pakistan with the countries lying to its West has a long history, reminiscences of which can still be seen in Pakistan's national life today. Due to these influences, it so happened that a distinct nation emerged within the sub-continent that continued to live without a name for centers, and took to be referred as a religious minority. Here, when the name of 'Pakistan'1 was alloted to this unnamed nation (the areas where Muslims were in majority) and when after the process of self-discovery and self-realization the Muslims realized that they were indeed a' nation According to any definition 'associated to a' different religious philosophies, social customs, literatures and civilization '. Then, the reserve formed due to lack of name, deceptive phrases like minority, and the unjust attitude during atropic Congress 2 rule 3.4 ceased to be a reserve anymore, and the nation envisaged the possibility of creating a country for themselves where they could ' Develop to the fullest spiritual, cultural, economic, social and political life '. So, triggered by the Islamic morals and led by their 'Quaid-e-Azam'5 Mohammad Ali Jinnah, 6 Muslims of India marched to their destiny of sovereign status and won the battle for Pakistan not with an army but with the power of words Written with their determination.

It was Jinnah who guided his people to the cause of the freedom. It was Jinnah who stood steadfast for the rights of Muslims of India. And it was indeed Jinnah who led his devoted followers to victory. And all of this with in a decade. It could only have been his utmost devotion and faith in the cause of his dream – the realization of which was thought to be impossible, carried by his strong willful character, which led him to carve out a nation out of a subjugated minority and establish a Cultural and national home for it. He brought millions of Muslims together on a platform against the two adversaries, each of them far stronger then himself and his community, and allied in their opposition to the creation of Pakistan.

Could it have been easy for a man who lived a life deemed modern by the people he was struggling for? How could such a man who studied at London, dressed mostly in the latest English-style suits7 (before 1937), spoke a foreign language (English) which most of the Muslim masses who flocked to listen to his speeches could not even understand and Married8 out of his religion (Parsi), managed to weld the highly conventional Muslims under his banner of separate Pakistan at the age of sixty-four (in 1940)? He could not have done it without he staunchly believed that the Islamic values of the community he was supporting were in consonance with progress and modernity, which he practiced.

Jinnah's forty-four (1904-48) years public political life justifies that he was the most westernized political leader of Muslims. No Muslim political leader of his time could equal him in terms of modernity and a modern outlook. He believed in moderation, ordered progress, democratic norms, Islamic ideals, integrity, dedication, honesty and hard work. These were the core values he was committed to through his political career; These formed the part of his personality and these he aspired to see in his country.

Jinnah had a very clear and a straightforward idea about the system of government he wanted in Pakistan. He wanted to make Pakistan a real Islamic State through democratic process stating that the 'constitution of Pakistan would be of a democratic type, embodying the essential principles of Islam' as 'Islam and its idealism have taught democracy'. 'Pakistan is not going to be a theocratic state to be ruled by practices with a divine mission as there were many non-Muslims in Pakistan who would share equal rights and privileges as other citizens'. 'Religion, caste or creed will have nothing to do with the affairs of the state' for Islam teachers, equality, justice and fair play for everyone.

It may be noted here that, by democracy, Jinnah never mean Western system of democracy, but a sort of Islamic democracy which is at home with Muslims' ethics, aspirations, values and code of morality as the state which he founded was owned by people Of various races and ethnicities, religions and castes, so a purely western style of democracy could never suit here. Jinnah wanted to see Pakistan an embodiment of progressive, modern, dynamic and forward-looking Islam. Same was the qualities he thought in the nation of his State. He envisioned a nation that is open-minded with high social and moral ethics and highest aims in economic growth, national solidarity and education. Jinnah said that there were three main cards, which go in making a nation worthy: education, economic and industrial strength, and defense. His famous slogan of Unity, Faith and Discipline was designed specifically to appeal to the Muslims sense of national solidarity. Jinnah rejected western capitalist economic system and emphasized on an economic system based on the concepts of equality and social justice. He believed that Pakistan was blessed with immense economic resources and potentials and it is for the people to make the best use of them. Laying his importance on national consolidation he urged the nation to 'work in co-operation, forgetting the past' and called provincialism a 'poison' considering it one of the barrier towards the progress and development of a nation. He emphasized the necessity of educating the nation in 'scientific and technical education in order to build up future economic life' so Pakistan could 'compete with the world'. He envisioned the national character of Pakistan built on 'highest sense of honor, integrity, selfless services to the nation, and sense of responsibility' and 'fully equipped to play a part in the various branches of economic life'.

But Jinnah was not the only Muslim leader of United India who exercised deep influence over the Muslims of the sub-continent. It is true that Jinnah's determination and his excellent organizing skills were highly important contributing factors, but Jinnah could never create Pakistan, had not the Muslims masses believed in his ideal and faithfully worked with intense zeal for the realization of the same. This consciousness came in the shape of works of literature of poet like Iqbal 9, which reached and touched the hearts of masses. Iqbal through his literature came to have deep influence over the Muslims of the sub-continent. He is credited for initiating the idea of separation, as he was the first promoter public figure to bring forth the demand of Pakistan in his presidential address to the Muslim League's 10 annual session at Allahabad in 1930 as President of the Punjab Muslim League in words which Resound in the minds of every Pakistani even today and which by 1940 became so loud that Jinnah adopted it as the ultimate goal.

Iqbal is the ideological founding father of the nation and can safely be called a modern Muslim reformer. He was driven to the dream of Pakistan on communal lines with which he approached the problem of the future of Muslims and pressed for division of India on racial, religious and linguistic lines. Although Iqbal's vision of Pakistan had strong religious overtones owed to his strong Islamic upbringing yet he was the only Muslim intellectual of his time who strived to make Islam meaningful for the 20th Century man. He dreamt of the revival of Islam in its original and pure form and believed in the establishment of an Islamic system based on the principles of Islam. He believed in the possibility of the adjustment of Islam in modern world, emphasizing that the true essence of religion Islam is quite open to accept the modern advances. Indeed, his greatest conviction lies in his call upon Muslims to undertake reconstruction of Islam and Islamic values in the light of modern times in a way that shows it to be a forward-looking religion that promises to serve as a force for good in the world At large. Like Jinnah he considered democratic system drawn in lines with Islamic principles closest to an ideal Islamic state as European democracy could not be applicable without recognizing the fact of communal groups. He advocated a common ground between tradition and modernity; And impressed upon the Muslims on the necessity of inner change by seeking self-realization and action.

Like Jinnah and Iqbal, another person who held strong influence on the Muslims of subcontinent was Sir Syed Ahmed Khan who was the earliest exponent of Muslim Nationalism and made considering efforts to rehabilitate the Muslims immediately after 1857 rebellion11 in the fields of education, religion, social Life and politics.

True, that the birth of Pakistan was triggered by factors like political, religious, economic and cultural, but had it not been for the will of people, the vision of Pakistan could never be realized. Nations can only come into existence if they possess courage to achieve their purpose. And if a nation fails to produce a person with marked leadership abilities their courage could prove futile. Muslims were fortified to have such leaders in the persons like Jinnah, Sir Syed, Iqbal, Ali Brothers (Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar & Maulana Shaukat Ali Jauhar) and Liaquat Ali Khan during the struggle for Pakistan. These leaders were responsible in creating consciousness among Muslim masses for the realization of their vision of Pakistan and for Muslims that they were glimmers of hope in the era of disappointments and deceits. All these leaders had the same idea of the type of state that they wanted to establish in the name of Pakistan. Where Iqbal bought a modernized country relying on the principles of Quran interpreted from a fresh angle. Likewise Sir Syed and other leaders also encouraged Muslims to seek Western knowledge and mold themselves according to the modern advances to keep up with the world yet remaining within the limits laid by Islam. Perhaps Jinnah best represented the concept of the state of Pakistan envisaged by these leaders and their followers in his own words as 'Let us lay the foundation of our democracy on the basis of truly Islamic ideals and principles'.

The vision of Pakistan does not only lies in history but it also forms a part of our national life. Crescent and star on the national flag is an Islamic symbol signaling progress, enlightenment and knowledge. Even the national anthem reflects Jinnah's vision of Pakistan aspiring for a destiny that is strong and shining, a land that is pure, resolve, leading the way to progress and perfection, glorifying the past and present.

Jazz Music and Its Significance in US History

Jazz music which is thought to be an art creation of the American blacks during the early decades of the twentieth century has been an important subject of the social history of US. It gained popularity not only as an art form but it also helped the hapless blacks, who were the offspring of the enslaved African origin blacks brought into America by the white settlers to exploit them for their labor needs, to gain a social standing through the power of music. They, with the help of influential jazz music, brought to limelight the miseries that they are suffering because of the racial hatred.

Initially the jazz music flourished in the South American region. New Orleans was especially very dear to this art. From there it traveled to all parts of America. In the beginning years there was strong resistance seen on the part of whites who could not see the blacks progressing in some field. But despite all their malicious efforts to suppress the jazz music being spread into society, they themselves were vanquished by its influence. It made itself as a hallmark of the US culture. Whites and immigrants from other regions of world were seen getting into this music.

The music when adopted by people from different ethnic backgrounds living in the multicultural society of US groomed further and many other variations were developed of it. All these happenings with the jazz were signifying the growing influence of the Negroes. The lyrics of their songs, especially the improvisation technique used in the Jazz which allows the singer to sing without even the tune, were expressive of their true emotions and their social sufferings on being the isolated and neglected portion of the society. It, in a sense, played a considerable role in reducing the racial differences. Other people of different ethnicities also used it to raise their voice.

Jazz was setting its roots in the music landscape and became popular in all people. Because of its rapid development people started calling it the rise of ‘Jazz Culture’ in America.

It was just after the end of slavery in US the Jazz music started to grow. The slave trade, though it was ended by the American law, had profound effects for the US society. It generated a milieu of hatred for blacks toward whites and vice versa. This legacy had to last for generations and according to the recent studies there is still a huge tendency of racism that exist in American people. In addition to this there were immigrants from other regions of the world that further amplified the diversity and nationalistic feelings among people who were now living together in the multi-ethnic society of US. In such an atmosphere the empowerment of blacks through the help of their arts movements was a historic marvel. It was not just music that was their sole part of the black arts movement. Other genres of art like poetry, fiction, fashion were also distinctively used by them

In the city of New Orleans where the Jazz music was born there was a peculiar tradition among people. During the funerals the people were consoled by these jazz singers who used to play funeral songs that soothed the family and friends of the dead person. This practice was becoming more and more prominent and was taking a shape of a must element of funeral processions. Moreover the people of New Orleans were very fond of holding music parties, concerts, balls, etc. that further paved the way for jazz to get fame among people. In this way the city of New Orleans mushroomed jazz culture and is therefore called the mother city of jazz music. One of the most famous and much cherished jazz singer Louis Armstrong also belonged to that place.

From New Orleans Jazz was entering into the boundaries of New York and Chicago. These cities also proved to be welcoming for it. So large was becoming its influence that many recording companies, who initially were not providing equal opportunity to black artists to record their albums, started to give access to these jazz singers to prepare their albums in the recording houses. That rapidly boosted the growth of jazz music. Firstly the recording companies which were mainly owned by whites were skeptic that the jazz would be liked by the greater masses.

The things got contrary to their expectations. The jazz music was even adopted by whites who fell in love with it and made their own variations of the jazz. It was becoming the voice of the people. After its commercialization and likeness by the people more black singers were encouraged to release their albums. In this way they were assimilating their identities with other segments of the society. They were listened, played and copied. Their message that began to come in front of mounting audience helped to eliminate the prejudiced thoughts directed toward them.

Jazz music was a quintessential part of the famous Black Arts movement and its efficacy to bring the voice of blacks to the limelight proved more good than other arts. There were singers like Louis Armstrong, Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, etc. who played a superb role in utilizing Jazz as a platform to express the miseries, fears, dangers, hatred and negligence the blacks face on the hands of whites. Initially, when the jazz was being adopted by white singers, the runners of Black Arts movement considered it as a threat and protested the involvement of non-blacks in it.

After the 1950s the Asian-Americans were also seen getting into Jazz. They too uses jazz to raise their voice which helped them to raise their social status. They were able to cast a political influence on the higher powers as well.

Jazz was a wonderful addition in the field of music and had been a healthy form of entertainment. A music that grew at a place where the subjugated class–blacks–had little opportunity to compete with the self-supposed superiors–whites–who could have set obstacles for the Jazz music to start its drive to nadir before making any rise. And in fact initially the intentions of the whites were not different than this but as the outburst of emotions can not be stopped they realized that the Jazz had to cross limits.

As the people of America have had love for music, the jazz not only became an entertaining music for them but it was to become the very part of the US culture and the way of American Life. Magazines, Newspapers, and the Television provided considerable space to the stuff related to jazz. Why the jazz made such a glorious fame was because of the characteristic of jazz which allows the intensity of emotions to be interpreted in the music. Now many other form of jazz are developed which testifies it has a potential to win more hearts and last forever.

Camping is More Fun When You Are Prepared

Camping can be a fun family experience. It is a great chance to get closer to each other and spend quality family time together away from all the stress everyday life can bring. Whatever you chose to camp in an isolated area in the woods or a local campground, being prepared will make the trip a lot more relaxing and enjoyable. It can be very difficult to relax if you have to run to the store every ten minutes to grab something you forgot. Make a checklist before you leave to make sure you take everything you need. This article will discuss the basic necessities for camping. Be sure to take any specific items your family may require.

First and foremost you need shelter. For RVing families this is pretty simple. If you plan to rent a cabin be sure to do so in advance to insure availability. If you are going to camp in a tent make sure you have the tent and all the stakes and routes for proper assembly. Make sure to have a hammer handy to pound the stakes into the ground. Once you have shelter covered the next item on the list should be basic everyday necessities. Clothes, extra shoes, towels, wash cloths, swim wear, food, cooking utensils and appliances, plates, plasticware, napkins, table cloth, etc. These items are things everyone thinks to pack for any trip. Try not to bring a lot of perishable food unless you have a portable cooler. Make sure to bring an inflatable mattress and warm sleeping bag if you intend to tent camp. Also, bring your own sheets if you are staying in a cabin.

Other basic items for a camping trip are fishing gear, books, folding lawn chairs, a first aid kit, clothing line (for extended trips), dish soap, laundry soap, and rain gear (just in case). A lot of these items are often forgotten about until you get everything set up and ready to go at the camp site. No one wants to spend the entire trip standing or sitting on the near rock. Take activities for the car ride as well if the trip is long. Anything your family enjoys such books, movies, music, etc. Hair care accessories, shower shoes, and extra blankets are also great to have on hand.

Other items to consider taking on a family camping trip are a GPS, a 12 volt television, portable satellite TV system, and hand held CB radios. GPS units are great when you are venturing into the great unknown; Finding something as simple as the nearest grocery store can be hard if you're not familiar with the town. The GPS navigation system can get you to your camp site, and show you around the town, all by simply programming your destination. Having a 12 Volt television and portable satellite on hand are simply for entertainment purposes. When the sun goes down and the glow of the fire just is not interesting anymore, being able to flip on the TV and watch your favorite shows will seem priceless.

The latest item I mentioned in this list is a hand held CB radio. These can come in handy in a lot of different situations. Use them to communicate with family while you explore the woods and streams, or use them in case of an emergency (such as getting lost on such explorations). These little devices can prove to be a true lifeline when you need them most. Having all these items, as well as any family specific item you may require, can make a camping trip turn into a great family memory.

How To Build the Ultimate Games Room

If you sometimes need to get away from it all and vent a little frustration or want to host your competitive yet not-so-athletic group of friends, then a serious gaming session in your living room probably won’t cut it. Many people with a spare room in their house might shove a mediocre TV, an Xbox and a futon in there but why not go the extra mile, create something that you and a few buddies can shut the doors and emerge at the end of the weekend bloated on junk food and triumphant over your online adversaries.

You will obviously need a room and on the assumption that you don’t have a spare room that isn’t assigned for the non-existent guests, you might want to look at converting a loft space or basement, this is shut off from the world, won’t impose on the rest of the house and if you’re cunning enough, can be built without anyone else knowing.

Clear out the room of any old junk and begin to make it safe, remove damp from the basement and install flooring in a loft. Once set up, decorate your room, white walls are best as they won’t make it feel like a small space and make you feel like a recluse. Flooring should be simple, preferably wood or laminate that is easy to clean and won’t require heaving a vacuum up some stairs.

Decorate the room in a manly fashion, movie posters and old vinyl covers and definitely none of those girly canvasses or black and white photos your other half will undoubtedly have around the house. Make sure you have the most comfortable and unique chair but ensure there is enough space for all your friends. A large L-shaped sofa will be the most efficient but a couple of sofa-beds will also mean that your friends can stay over when their wives are no longer talking to them for spending so much time at yours.

If you want to maintain a 48-hour Halo marathon then you will need a generous supply of food and drink. Beer fridges are cheap and ideal, and snack food can be stored anywhere. If you can, install a toilet to really seal yourself off.

The first rule of a games room is that nobody is left without a game, try and find some old-school pinball machines, possibly a dartboard and even a snooker table if you have the room. This means that whenever people come round, even if they aren’t playing, they don’t just have to crowd around a screen. If you have the space, fit a bar in the corner with a couple of stools, so even when people aren’t playing anything they can be social and enjoy themselves.

Ultimately, you will need to drop a wad of cash on some serious gaming equipment; all traditional games and activities are mere child’s play compared to today’s high tech multimedia. Choose one of the two leading consoles, both have their advantages and whatever you choose you will divide your friends who will have sided one way or the other with their own purchases, if you can afford it, buy both. Enjoy this through the biggest TV you can buy/fit in the room, full HD with all the trimmings or even consider a projector if you are in a windowless room but remember this will require the lights to be off. Get a beefy surround sound too, something that will make the room rumble with the sound of the online battlefield and make the rest of the household wonder what the hell is going on in there. Buy a selection of the latest multiplayer games as these won’t require six grown men watching one person repeatedly attempting to defeat the evil wizard boss on level 23. Remember to occasionally visit the outside world, with all that enjoyment in one room you might forget about the kids, your job or even sunlight.

Glucosamine Cream

Glucosamine plays a big role when it comes to healthy skin. Your blood needs adequate amounts of glucosamine so that it can properly produce hyaluronic acid, which is important in fact it's crucial when it comes to healing surgical incisions and skin injuries.

In a recent study performed on surgery patients it was discovered that glucosamine sped up the healing process of their incisions when taken before and after their surgeries compared to those who did not. Furthermore, glucosamine is now being utilized in wrinkle reduction since it has been shown to help the skin remain resilient.

In addition, MSM / Glucosamine skin cream products also promote healthy joints, connective tissues, cartilage, and flexibility. The nutrients one gains from these products are encapsulated into liposomes in the body for further delivery in concentration to the areas in need. What's Your First Marketing Piece?

When you're about to open your doors for business and you need materials to promote it, where do you start? Brochure? Website? Direct marketing package? Postcards?

One of my teachers, Master Copywriter Lorrie Morgan-Ferrero of Red Hot Copy, says the best place to start is to write a sales letter.

Why?

To produce an effective sales letter, you have analyze every aspect of your product or service. This means researching and scrutinizing your target market, getting inside their heads and figuring out what makes them tick, understanding the doubts that might stop them in their tracks and preventing them from hiring you or buying your product. It forces you to nail down every feature, benefit and advantage of your product or service. It means taking a detailed look at exactly what makes your product or service different from those of your competitors. It also makes you come up with the best ever call to action. Not to forget collecting well-crafted, stellar testimonials from your best clients.

Not only that, but you do this all in great detail and depth.

Now you may not use all the information in your letter, but you have to delve into all these aspects in order to cherry pick the parts that will create a persuasive message for you.

The challenging part in writing a sales letter is that you can not sit down face to face with your prospect and answer questions as they pop into her mind and out of her mouth. Instead you have to anticipate every point that might come up in a personal meeting and answer those one by one in your letter.
So an effective sales letter covers every point you need to make in order to move the reader to the next step in your sales process, without having the feedback you get when you're sitting across a table from them. Not an easy task.

That's why it's such a great idea to get started by writing a long and detailed sales letter even if you're not planning to send it.

Sure it takes time to gather all the details, analyze them and organize them in a way that flows persuasively through the sales process. But once you're done, you pretty much have all the information at your fingertips to put together any other piece of promotional material. It's all there in one document. Then wherever you want a brochure, website content, a presentation, a postcard or even a 30-second Round Robin or Elevator Speech, it's ready in next to no time.

Selecting a Computer Case

Selecting the right computer case as a guide for buyers and there are far too many computer cases for sale in the market that makes the selection process take longer than it should. There are far too many decisions to make.

The process could be simplified by organizing your wants. Choose a computer case that you could stand looking at or even appreciate having. After doing so, you can check what other attributes of it you should know about.

Does it have space for USB ports on the front panel? These ports are very practical as they offer easier access for your USB flash drives. It just is not sensible to keep sticking the drive at the back as it would require you to move the PC and sort through all the cables and dust bunnies back there. Newer motherboards have USB ports for the front and back panel. Connecting your mp3 player, flash drive, printer, headset, cell phone and a lot of other stuff using USB cables would be convenient with front USB.

What motherboards would fit in the case? If you like the case so much, you only have select choices of motherboards as there is no one size fits all kind of casing. You could be sacrificing a lot if you choose the wrong computer case. A removable back plate feature is recommended for smaller computer cases as this would give you more elbow room to install the motherboard.

What is the form factor of your motherboard? There are many form factors specific to different motherboards such as Micro, Full and Extended ATX. The computer case should indicate which form it can house. If you can not find this information, you better drop the model off your list as you can not afford any guesswork on this one. The size of the computer case should match the size of your motherboard.

How big is the power supply you will be using? The power supplies in computer cases may be too small and inadequate for your application. The problem with small power supplies is that it may not be sufficient to run your system smoothly. You will notice your computer suddenly rebooting. You must select a power supply that could match the needs of your system or it just would not run right and may damage your hardware.

How many drives of what size will you be installing? Get a computer case that can fit in all of these devices. You will need one that has as many external bays as you require and can fit in all the hard drives and CD or DVD-ROM drives. Would you still use floppy disks? You will not need a case that has a bay for this if you will not be using floppies.

Will the size of the computer case fit in the spot where you will place it? If you have specific space requirements, make sure you get the dimensions of the case before you get it. Both the height and the depth are very important.

Is there enough cooling space? If your computer will be placed in a closed space like a cabinet, you have to consider if it has sufficient cooling. You may need additional cooling for certain applications so select the case that could accommodate such additions.

Kosher Food: Key To Jewish Faith And Culture

Along with holidays and music, kosher food presents a key to Jewish faith and culture. Like the food practices of Hindus and Muslims, kosher food for Jews stems from their religious beliefs. "Keeping kosher" is not strictly a cultural food practice; It is a way of life that symbolizes the Jews' devotion to God.

Virtually any large European and American city has kosher food stores. These stores can be specific such as butcher stores and fish markets, or they can be all encompassing, including kosher grocery stores and delicatessens offering take-out food.

Religious Jewish women, who do most of the cooking for their families, know that shopping for kosher food means more than buying foodstuffs in certain markets. It also means checking all the foods for a sign known as a rabbinic seal. This mark indicates that the food has been prepared under the supervision of a rabbi. The rabbi will have directed the food, but also the workers, their equipment and their methods of preparation to ensure that everything has followed all the religious laws of Kosher. Each country has a rabbinical association that supervises Kashrut, or the certification of foods as having followed the Jewish laws.

Many degrees of Kashrut are also available, since Jews have different theological schools and religious traditions. As a result kosher food shops usually offer a great variety of products, and sometimes even the same product in different packages at different prices, with only the kosher stamp different.

For those who are not practicing Jews, the matter of food can be confused by the expression "kosher style." Those who do not adhere as strictly to the Jewish food laws often eat kosher style food. However, even kosher-style foods must conform to certain basics, such as not including the meat of forbidden animals and not mixing dairy with meat.

Jewish Holy Scripture, the Torah, forbids Jews from eating non-kosher food. Special attention is given to kosher meat, which can come only from certain animals and prepared only in a certain way called the "shechitah keshera." The shochet, or Jewish butcher, is a key person in the community's ability to keep kosher. (Remember Lazar Wolf, the butcher, from the musical "Fiddler on the Roof"?). According to Torah law, any Jew can perform a butcher's tasks according to the prescribed ritual. In reality, however, the custom has become that only a man who has been approved by a supervising rabbi is considered a kosher butcher. What's more, a kosher meat shop is only kosher if the butcher is an observant Jew. Non-Jews, also known as Gentiles, can not qualify as kosher butchers.

These laws are specified in great detail in the Torah and were strangely interpreted by rabbis down through the centuries. Many religious historians think the Kashrut laws were handed down out of necessity in a time when food was uncertain and preservation almost non-existent. However, the practical necessities of "keeping kosher" also have a strong basis in the religious belief that since God wants good health for people, eating properly represents a spiritual discipline as much as a health practice.

Lace Wigs – Full Lace Vs Front Lace

Lace wigs are wigs that are handmade onto a sheer lace base with hair hand tied to the foundation. Human hair lace wigs are most typically made using grade Remy Indian and Chinese hair. However, they are also constructed using European, Mongolian, Brazilian and Malaysian hair. Front lace wigs have hand tied lace around the front perimeter of the wig whereas full lace wigs have hand tied hair throughout the entire head.

The wigs are natural looking and virtually undetectable and the strands of hair look like they are growing right out of your head. The wig can be parted anywhere on the head, worn in a high ponytail, and is very versatile. They can be worn for weeks at a time without removing it and it does not damage your natural hair. The wig can be washed and styled as you would your normal hair. You can also permit and dye your wig although it is recommended to be done by a professional.

These wigs are worn by top celebrities, people who experience hair loss, and everyday people like you and me. They can be very expensive, upwards to over $ 1000. However you can purchase premium quality wigs at an affordable price. Look like a celebrity without spending celebrity money.

Learn a Big Lesson From AIG

About 15 years ago, I got a call from a lead partner at one of the largest executive recruiting firms asking if I was being interested in talking to Mr. Hank Greenburg about a senior level job at AIG. That company was the big dog in property and casualty insurance and was led by an iconic figure (Hank) that took a small insurance company in the 1960s and built it into a Fortune 10 in a few decades.

The job we discussed was running AIG in the Far East out of Tokyo. I was interested, but after a couple of months of dancing, we were unable to override my primary hurdle: I was willing to make a three-year commitment to Japan; They wanted five.

If you're asking yourself, "Why would someone want to go to work for AIG?" My answer is this: The AIG that Greenburg built was not the same company that essentially folded under its successor, Martin Sullivan. Here's what the business press did not talk about:

Hank Greenburg ran AIG with an iron fist. Some associates joked that the company did not need a strategy; It had Greenburg. Every decision of consequence crossed his desk. Autonomy was the order of the day and at AIG it worked. Although he had begun his career as an attorney and insurance guy, Greenburg became both an incredibly successful entrepreneur and operator – a rare combination – and boy, did he ring the cash register. He could navigate between long-term strategy and day-to-day operations with ease. For thirty years, many people got wealthy at the company as both its top and bottom lines grew at a breathtaking pace. Then, in a well-documented act of polite, jealousy, revenge and political opportunism, Elliot Spitzer, that paragon of propriety, got Greenburg ousted. Martin Sullivan became the CEO.

Sullivan was a really accomplished insurance guy. He had successfully run a large number of AIG businesses, both domestically and internationally. He had no experience, however, outside of insurance at a company which businesses, by the early 1990s, also included derivatives trading and aircraft leasing. If Sullivan had taken the reigns twenty years earlier, when insurance represented the overwhelming share of the company's business, it would have been a good fit, but as I'm fond of saying, "That's true … and if I had wheels I 'D be a bicycle.'

Sullivan's style was much more collaborative, consensual and collegial than his predecessor. He delegated many more (and much bigger) decisions to other executives. "What's wrong with that?" You ask. In this case, plenty.

Stay with me!

Delegation is a good thing; Abdication is not a good thing. After their leadership change, AIG migrated ( perhaps leaped is a better word in this case) from autocracy to democracy, overnight. Executives in far-flung areas of their business – areas that Greenburg supervised with a tight reign – suddenly assumed more control of their own destiny. They began incrementally making risky decisions – not because they were incompetent or immoral but because their new "freedom" allowed them to do that. Their entrepreneurial instincts were no longer tempted by Greenburg's multi-dimensional approach. The most egregious case of that was in derivatives trading – most notably in credit default swaps .

CDFs were created to enable creditors to insure their risk of default (and boy, is That a simplistic definition). They were labeled as derivatives rather than insurance to enable companies to sidestep state regulation; It worked. Over time at AIG after Greenburg departed, CDFs were used to cover increasingly risky portfolios of mortgages. At the end, sub-prime loans (or worse) represent an irresponsible proportion of this business for AIG. If Greenburg had been there during the two years before it "hit the fan," it would not have hit the fan.

Blame Spitzer, not Greenburg, and, oh yes, blame AIG's Board of Directors. Prior to Greenburg's ouster, there was no real success plan in place and at the time of his ouster, there was no one ready to assume accountability for his or her divers cadre of businesses. Sullivan was not prepared to absorb the reigns of this sprawling company. Other than Jamie Dimon (and even that would probably have been a stretch), the right executive for this challenge did not exist.

Here's the lesson: You can not migrate from one culture to its direct opponent with a "plug-and-play" approach. Changing cultures is not akin to changing the oil in your car. In this case, all of AIG's executives were not equally capable of contextualizing, and then executing, decisions with $ billion consequences.

Cultures are durable. Destabilize them quickly; Change the rules of the game with a "flick of the switch"; Impose order on chaos or chaos on order all at once and you will probably face deadly consequences – the loss of your reputation or company. Massive change must be planned and executed in a prerequisite, systematic way. It does not have to drag on for years, but it can not happen overnight. "Transformation" and "upheaval" are not synonymous.
