Stair Lifts For Curved and Straight Stairways

The ability to get around ones home is essential to physical and mental well being. For many this task might seem simple and even trivial, but if you are not able to easily climb the stairs then getting around the home might not be all that simple. Many people install stair lifts in their home to make it easier to get around.

There are many factors in life that can result in limited mobility, which often makes things like climbing the stairs or even taking a bath very difficult. Often a severe case of arthritis alone can make it hard if not impossible to climb the stairs, but if you couple that with a poor sense of balance, then the risk of accident or injury is much greater.

It is no surprise that falling down the stairs is the number one cause of hospitalization among people who are over the age of 65, but it might be surprising to learn that falling down the stairs is also the number one cause of accidental death in this same age group. While it can be very dangerous to use the stairs, installing a stair lift will help to greatly reduce these risks.

A stair lift is a device that is most commonly installed to interior staircases, but some models are available that are weather proof and can be placed indoors or out. They are designed to carry a person up and down the stairs in a safe and reliable manner.

Stair lifts use a track and car system and is secured directly to the stairs. The track remains stationary and must be securely bolted or screwed into the staircase. The car then travels up and down the track with its single safe rider. Most frequently the car will use a chair to carry the occupant, but some instead use a small platform that is called a perch. The perch requires that you remain standing though, so is not the best choice for most people.

While the track is generally attached directly to the steps, in some cases it will instead be secured to the wall or banister. This is usually only done on curved staircases, but in some instances where the staircase is exceedingly narrow, the width of the staircase might necessitate that the track be installed to the wall. For those that have a concrete, brick, or stone staircase, usually the track can still be secured to the steps using specially designed screws.

People who decide to use and install a stair lift can effectively reduce their risk of falling to almost nil. Of course, you still must be very careful entering or exiting the lift, but most chair lifts are designed so that you can swivel the chair away from the stairs to safely exit the lift.

It is also important that you remain in the seat or on the platform as the lift carries you up or down the stairs. This is one of the reasons that the perch lift is usually not the best choice. Perch lifts require a strong sense of balance, so are generally only used by people who have had knee surgery.

Those that decide to use and install a stair lift in their home will never be left stranded and will also never be forced to neglect areas of their home that are separated by a staircase.

Race Relations in America

There is a place where racism does not exist. A place without color or class, prejudice or position. Every person is completely equal. It's called a graveyard. If you are ahead of or behind the person nearest you it does not make you evil. It is simply an indication that you are still breathing. We begin life as equals and we all end up the same way. What happens in between is largely a matter of choice.

In 2008, America elected a black man as President. The election was historic, just as this next story was historic. In 1954, Roger Bannister broke the four-minute mile. It was previously agreed that running one mile in less than four minutes was physically impossible. Doctors the world over emphatically stated that the human heart would explode before it could be done. And then one day Roger accidentally did the impossible and survived. Once runners realized that breaking the four minute mile was possible they began racking up the numbers. It is now the standard for professional middle runners. Some runners have actually run one mile in less than four minutes over one hundred times.

What does that have to do with Obama becoming the first black President? Just because he is the first that does not mean he will be the last. Actually, I fully expect to see a number of black US Presidents in my lifetime. His accomplishment will always be historic and special and no one will ever take that from him. God bless President Obama for what he has accomplished. But let's not go into convulsions every time he makes a mistake and a white man dares to talk about it. We are mature enough to handle that, are not we?

The word racism has different definitions and various implications, but for the purpose of this article I will simply use and refer to this: "the belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that one particular race is superior to others." Yes, racism exists, but it is not present in each person or in every comment. Flippantly branding someone a racist because you disagree with their opinion is not an attempt to identify deficiencies in order to propose corrective actions. It is an attack, a bully tactic intended to intimidate someone who is possibly trying to use logic and reasoning.

Playing the racist card often achieves the desired effect of compliance but it comes with a price. That price is resentment. In America, we do not like bullies. We fire them, abandon them, chastise, ridicule, vote them out of office and in extreme cases, mobilize and attack them until they surrender unconditionally. I prefer to spend time with people who lead certain lifestyles and exhibit predictable behavior. If you are a member of a college sorority, Elks lodge, book club or cancer survivors' forum you probably feel the same way all the while criticizing others for similar actions and feelings. If you do not like me because I am predominantly white that makes you a racist. On the other hand if you prefer to not spend time with me because I am quiet, keep to myself and am a lousy conversationalist then you are merely holding me accountable for my anti-social behavior. The words we use and the way we treat each other will shape the lives and attitudes of our young children and to a lesser degree, their offspring. Please think before you speak.

If you believe that you are being oppressed in America, ask yourself this question: if I were a free person living in a free country, how would I behave differently? Sleep on it. Then tomorrow when you arise, begin living as if that were true. Or do not. That is your choice. What happens after your next decision is what is commonly referred to as a consequence. Try something new. Rather than searching for differences in people try instead to look for agreements and commonalities. Replacing a bad habit with a better one seems to be much simpler than merely eliminating a habit thereby creating a void.

Forced multiculturalism drives people apart, not the other way around. When you hear the race card being tossed around indiscriminately chances are pretty good that you are being manipulated, not informed. Political correctness is little more than instinct override. Trust your instincts, you have them for a reason. I do not judge people based on the color of their skin. Racism is a calling best left to the professionals.

Neurological Disorganization – AKA Switching – A Problem Dealt With Applied Kinesiology

Do you have trouble following directions? Overly clumsy? Suffer from quick temper or mood changes, or have learning difficulties. Then you may be “switched” or have a problem with neurological organization which can be fixed with Applied Kinesiology.

What is switching?

Basically the nervous system has two functions: to receive information and to transmit information. Switching seems to be due to a functional error in information processing.

Improper transmission from sensory receptors (information from outside to brain) causes the Central Nervous System(our brain and spinal cord) to create inappropriate strengthening and weakening of the muscles and formation of incorrect neural patterns and responses.

Neurological disorganization or switching essentially is the body’s response to a stimulus overload – Physical, Psychological or Nutritional / Chemical.

How would you know if you were “switched.”

a) You have trouble following directions: for example, a massage person asks you to lie face up and you go face down.

b) Complaints of brain fog, reading difficulties, falling asleep, learning disabilities, mood changes, confusion, emotional fragility or quick temper or jet lag that just will not go away no matter what you do.

c) You may have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD

d) Uncoordinated or clumsy movement or walking, for example, you are constantly tripping over the crack in the sidewalk that is not there.

e) You have problems w/ balance or you have cranial faults or thyroid problems that recur.

f) You have problems raising your left shoulder but the pain is in your right shoulder.

What could have caused the “switching.”

a) Your parents encouraged you as an infant to walk before you had efficient bilateral function as in cross crawling on the floor.

b) You are constantly on exercise machines that do not repeat the natural cross pattern of the body that is when left leg goes forward, the rt. arm moves forward, etc.

c) You do (or have done in the past) a lot of recreational drugs.

d) You may have eaten food additives or any noxious stimuli, refined sugars, or experienced environmental or chemical toxicity.

e) You may have nutrition deficiencies: Vitamin A, iron, folic acid, copper, choline, RNA, water.

What you can do to correct it:

a) Reducing the stressors such as recreational drugs or food additives for example will often self-correct the disorganization pattern.

b) On occasion, it needs to be addressed directly correction of Acupressure-pts – K27, GV 27, CV 24 or checking for Ocular Locking – diminished eye coordination or correcting the Cranial respiratory mechanism This is done by an Applied Kinesiologist.

c) You can correct the nutritional deficiency.

d) Do exercises such as cross crawl, balance board, cross country machines, certain martial arts movements that repeat the natural cross pattern of the body that is when left leg goes forward, the rt. arm moves forward, etc.

Laxminarayan Temple – An Iconic Temple in the Capital of India

Delhi is the biggest metropolis in India widely known for its cultural diversity while being the political and cultural hub of India. New Delhi preserves many historical and traditional structures that one can observe as paradigms of this thriving nation's craftsmanship. New Delhi's rich culture and lifestyle is wrapped around temples and shrines of the city and spiced with vibrant festivals throughout the year.

Not only can you witness a great variety of architectural styles but also experience traditions and heritage of the locals during a tour in New Delhi. Come to the capital of India, New Delhi and you can experience this diversity for yourself. One of the impressive architectures can be found at New Delhi's Laxminarayan Temple which portrays an exotic facade with its contrasting tones and unique design.

The construction of Laxminarayan Temple was commissioned by the renowned Indian industrialists called Birla Family. Hence Laxminarayan Temple is also called Birla Mandir or Birla Temple and is also the very first Hindu temple built by the Birla Family. There are many Birla Temples built across India by this family including temples in Hyderabad and Jaipur.

As per its name the temple in Delhi is dedicated to Laxminarayan which translates to Laxmi and Narayan. Laxmi is a deity and is also the consort of Lord Vishnu, a supreme Hindu god who is also referred to as Narayan. Lord Vishnu is also a god from the Hindu Trinity representing the title of Preserver. And so the name Laxminarayan is a collective term referring to the two deities Laxmi and Narayan.

Laxminarayan Temple was completed in 1932. This temple is quite special for the locals as it allows devotees from all casts to enter and pay homage without discrimination. This was a condition laid down by the Father of India, Mahatma Gandhi. The temple was designed by Sris Chandra Chatterjee following the Orissa architectural style dipped in Mughal splendour.

The striking facade of Laxminarayan Temple is wrapped in carvings inspired by Hindu myths. They were carved meticulously by over hundred artisans under the guidance of Acharya Vishvanath Shasthri. The temple's contrasting hues, maroon and yellow, highlights these carvings wonderfully while adding an enthralling landmark to the cityscape.

Laxminarayan Temple has high shikaras, mountain shaped towers, where the tallest reach a height of 160 feet. These are topped by beautiful amalakas, circular rib like decorations. The temple's vibrant facade is made of red sand stone and white marble, accentuating the charm of Mughal architecture. At this Hindu sanctuary you will also find fountains and gardens in addition to many sculptures besides elaborate jalis, perforate screens with impressive designs.

Laxminarayan Temple in New Delhi sits close to the famous shopping and business hub Connaught Place resting on the road, Mandir Marg.

Solder Flux Paste – Wholesale Dropshipping – Siting One Brand That is a Lead-Free Solder

Lets take a peak first on how a lead could manage to destroy an environment and to human being. There is no really visible damage contribution to it but the effect is through its contribution of elements in the air (specifically the melting copper).

The impact categories included in the Lead-Free Solder Project [LFSP] and life-cycle impact assessment [LCIA] are as follows: renewable resource use, nonrenewable materials use, energy use, landfill space use, global warming, stratospheric ozone depletion, photochemical smog, air acidification, air particulates, water eutrophication (nutrient enrichment), water quality (biological oxygen demand [BOD] and total suspended solids [TSS]), occupational human health effects (cancer and non-cancer), public human health effects ( cancer and non-cancer), and aquatic ecotoxicity.

Here is a solder flux paste to a least minimize the toxic content of the lead that may cause damage to environment and human body. This is a solder flux paste that can be used on steel, iron, braze, plated-zinc, and plated-nickel soldering for general purposes. Xihan solder flux paste is a product into it. Xihan, is based in Ningbo, Shanghai, China and exports quality solder flux paste to any part of the world. So how can interested buyers contact Xihan? They provide a site on web to contact them and know more about the product. It can be ordered in hundreds for they can accommodate 3000 pieces-per-day order and they never ran out of stock. Worth $ 0.6-0.8 / pc, you can have them on time.

Impacts from the transportation and distribution of materials, products, and wastes throughout the life-cycle of a solder are included in most of the upstream processes where secondary data are used that already include transportation. Like Xihan, they also make provide time frame in delivery not long enough to wait but not fast enough to surprise you … they consider seven to ten working days delivery time. Data for manufacturing and use / application life-cycle stages reflect the period stated.

Unlike most products, solder does not have a use life-cycle that extends over a large time frame, instead it occurs over the relatively short period of time required to assemble a printed wiring board. And to whatever business anyone ventures, please also understand any risk that takes part of it. No matter what kind of industrial business we are in. Always remember that anything should also be of good service not just to your client but also to the nature, who deserves much credit to our existence.

Stained Glass Equipment

Glass equipment as an artwork was known to people since times. The popularity of stained glass was revived in the 1960s. The stained glass art and equipment was earlier confined to decorating churches, state owned buildings and few residences. From 1960 onwards, stained glass came to be extensively used for making jewelry boxes, mirrors, wall sconces, windows and other decorations.

Every form of art and craft requires some kind of investment in special tools or equipment. Some basic equipment needs to be used for making stained crafts in glass too. The everyday tools used at homes like scissors and pliers can also be put to use. However, using the proper kind of equipment will produce a better stained glass art. Poor quality of tools can lead to irritation and abandonment of the project. It would be good to use the below mentioned stained glass equipment.

It is advisable for beginners not to initially invest a lot on the stained glass equipment. A specially designed, unusual pair of pattern shears will be needed for making the craft. This can be bought for twenty dollars and above. Cheaper, twenty-five cent substitute, razor blades can also be used. Regular household scissors can also serve the purpose for amateurs.

As the artwork skills turn profitable, better stained glass equipment can be bought and used. Moving on with the basic list, soldering iron with an iron cased tip would be an important tool. Soldering iron can be found in any local hardware store or depot. Its price varies from ten to fourteen dollars. It is suggested not to buy a cheap soldering iron as they do not heat uniformly and do not last longer. Those who are seriously committed to make a stained glass work can buy a 100 to 150 watt soldering iron.

The temperature of the soldering iron should be controlled by a dimmer or a resistor. It prevents the iron from getting overheated. Such a rheostat unit can also be purchased separately to plug-in the soldering iron for use. Another necessary supply is the glass cutter. It is relatively cheaper, priced from three dollars and above. You can buy two different shaped cutters. When not in use, glass cutters soaked in kerosene or oil remain lubricated and reduce friction.

A basic glazing knife is used for various purposes while crafting a stained art glass. It is used to shape the edges of the glass or the lead. Grozing pliers with sleek and narrow jaw saves your fingers while working on delicate glass and glass breaks. A lead stretcher or any other vise, except wood or pipe vises, help to hold the lead strip for stretching. It is more flexible and bends easily along the edges of the stained glass pieces.

Among the equipment, flux is a chemical to clean the copper foil or lead vise when preparing for soldering the stained glass. When buying the most essential supplies for the craft, the glass itself, you can visit a crafts shop that sells glass. It can also be shipped or ordered by mail from a specific glass manufacturer.

Stained art glass is priced higher than normal glass used for windows. When bought in bulk, it can cost you less. Prices range from four dollars for a square foot and higher depending on size and quality. Glass equipment also includes solder, drawing paper and carbon paper. Solder can be bought from any hardware store for less than two dollars a spool which would be sufficient. Drawing and carbon papers can be used for sketching the artwork patters for glass.

Use goggles and gloves for protecting you eyes and hands. Assemble all the equipment in your work area or a safe place out of kids reach. Using the proper tools, creativity and dedication, stained glass proves to be a profitable hobby.

How Power Savers Work – Basic Buying Tips

Can you really save 40% on your electricity bills by plugging a small box into your AC socket?

In the past six month a number of products have been advertised on TV and online which seem too good to be true. I'd like to explain the reality of these exciting claims and give you a layman's understanding of how Power Savers work.

A Power Saver is a device which you plug in to your power socket. Apparently just by keeping the device connected it will immediately reduce your power consumption. Typical claims are savings between 25% and 40%.

The technology behind Power Saver units comes from German research coupled with Asian manufacturing and it is based on sound scientific principles.

Electricity is not stable. When electricity flows the voltage can rise and fall all the time. The rises in voltage are known as 'spikes' and they can not be used by your appliances at all. All these spikes do is waste your electricity. These power spikes also convert electrical energy into heat energy which leaks power from your circuit. Not only that but the heat will also do long-term danage to your wiring and to your appliances.

There are a few Power Saver models on the market but they all work along the same principle. They store the electricity inside of it using a system of capacitors and they release it in a smoother way to normal without the spikes. The systems also automatically remove carbon from the circuit which also encourages a smoother electrical flow. This means that you will have less power spikes. More of the electricity flowing around your circuit can be used to power your appliances than before.

There are many factors which do affect the efficiency of your Power Saver. The device works immediately after plugging it in although it can take as long as 8 days before it has adjusted itself for peak performance. The rate of savings will depend on what kind of appliances you have connected. All appliances are different but expect savings of up to 25% on lights, 30% on air-conditioning units and up to 35% on other appliances.

The highest savings will be in areas where voltage supply is less stable. Locations close to shops, restaurants and light industries tend to gain additional savings from Power Saver devices.

So how can you be sure that your Power Saver is working correctly?

Most often Power Savers come fitted with a light to indicate that it is working. If you have access to an electricity meter then you should see it immediately slowing down. Assuming that the light is on and that you leave the device unattended you can expect savings immediately. Be aware that often electricity companies will not take meter readings each month. Often bills are calculated on monthly averages which self-correct over time so please be aware of that in using your bill as a guide.

Finally, it is highly recommended to order your Power Savers from companies offering 100% guarantees for longer than 30 days. Remember that 30 days may not be sufficient time to truly know if the device is working as effectively as you expect. Try to work with companies that extend their guarantee dates to at least 60 day which gives you a much longer period to assess the benefits.

Start-Up Costs For Opening a Retail Store

Fully understanding the costs before you open a retail store is important to being financially prepared for the road ahead. While some retail store start-up costs are obvious, others are not. The key is to develop a comprehensive business plan and budget which take into account all possible start-up costs. This is best done by people connected with the business as well as external advisors who have experience in the area.

Here is a list of retail store start-up costs which will apply to almost any type of business. The list is broken down by area:

The store itself: lease preparation costs, legals, shop-fit, signage, electrical, lighting, plumbing, parking, window signs. In developing these costs, get quotes from a range of suppliers and use the higher quotes for budgeting purposes.

Stock: initial floor stock, backup stock . Make sure that you have ordered enough stock to support the opening of the business, to fill the space and have enough to replace stock as it is sold.

Infrastructure: computer system, security system, motor vehicle (s), phone system.

Other: business incorporation, accounting fees, other legal fees, any government registrations necessary, initial supply of stationery and consumable items, insurance, banking relationship setup fees.

Employees: hiring costs, uniforms, training and any other sign-on costs.

Opening: marketing, promotional gifts, advertising , additional employees for any event. This needs to cover all costs to support any opening event as well as marketing to be undertaken by the business for the first three months of trading.

Early trading: budget for the cash necessary to pay the bills of the business which it is establishing itself. This will depend on how soon you expect revenue to kick in. Budgets for between three and six months coverage.

Contingency: once you have all of the expected costs worked out, add a line for contingency – for anything which may go wrong. As a guide, this should be in the vicinity of 10% to 15% of the total start up costs.

The more accurate the cost assessment the better prepared you will be should the business plan proceed. A retail store starved of cash is a business waiting for all sorts of challenges. This is why deciding not to proceed because of lack of cash is better than just scraping through and opening with barely enough cash.

Take your time and work out what the real start up costs are likely to be. This time spent before you sign any agreements could be invaluable down the track even once the business is open.

Minnesota Golf Courses: Superior National at Lutsen

Minnesota golf courses come in a wide variety from 9-hole mom and pop courses to 54-hole resort complexes. In this series of articles we have been discussing different destination. Today we will highlight Superior National at Lutsen, which is located on Lake Superior's north shore in Lutsen Minnesota.

Lutsen has long been a travel destination for Minnesota skiers and the business of tourism is alive and well throughout the entire North Shore region. There are plenty of places to stay from economy to luxury with many lodging facilities working with Superior National to offer discounted greens fees.

To get to Lutsen from the Twin Cities is approximately 245 miles north. Begin by taking I-35 north from the Twin Cities and then continue on Hwy. 61 north from Duluth. The distance from Duluth is a little over 90 miles, and residents of Duluth have been visiting the Lutsen area for many years as a favorite weekend destination.

Superior National is a 27-hole facility that has three distinctively different 9-hole courses. These courses have a couple of things in common. First, the influence that Lake Superior has is indescribable until you have played here. The optical illusion that the lake creates along with the pull the big water has even on uphill putts is incredible. Second is that each of these courses do have risk / reward holes on them. The question you have to ask yourself is "does the reward out weigh the risk?" Third is that a strong wind off of the lake can make holes play 3 to 4 clubs longer or shorter depending if you are going into or with the wind. This course can make a good golfer look foolish.

The three courses are The River, The Mountain and The Canyon. An 18-hole round will alternate two of the three courses from day to day. Superior National also offers unlimited play daily packages so that you experience all of the holes, more than once if you start early enough! The Canyon to River combination plays 6,369 yards from the back tees with a course rating of 71.1 a slope index of 127 and a par of 72. The River to Mountain combination plays 6,323 yards from the back tees with a course rating of 70.9 with a slope index of 130 and a par of 72. The Mountain to Canyon combination plays 6,768 yards from the back tees with a course rating of 73.0 and a slope index of 133 and par is also 72.

The River 9 is named for the Poplar River that runs through the property. The river does come into play on a couple of holes, most notably on number 2 and number 9 where the rush of the river on the tee shot can play mind games on the golfer. If you concentrate and block out the sights and sounds of the beauty around you and play the golf shot, both of these are relatively easy golf holes. If your mind wanders a double bogey or worse can be made on these two or any of the holes for that matter.

The Canyon 9 is named again for the deep canyon the Poplar River cuts through the area of the course on holes 5 and 6. The first time I played this course as I proceeded from the green on number 4 to the tee box on number 5, I heard a dull roar. I stopped the golf cart to listen and to my wonder as I came around the turn and stood on the tee box of number 5 a smile came across my face that was hard to contain. The elevated tee on number 5 is one of the risk / reward holes at Superior National. The carry over the river is 225 yards, there is a false front to this green, but at least that is dry land. Most balls find a landing spot somewhere in the raging river and end up in Lake Superior about a mile away. I elected to hit a mid-iron to the center of the fairway with a 9 iron into the green. I like to take a par anytime it presents itself. After finishing this fun hole you climb back up to another elevated tee box for number 6 which is a 150ish yard par 3 again with the Poplar River cutting through just in front of the green. Elevation, wind, pin placement and even humidity levels of the air make club choice interesting on this hole. Number 8 is the signature hole on the Canyon 9. On a clear day the backdrop of Lake Superior is absolutely breathtaking. This par 3 hole also plays from an elevated tee box and features a drop of over100 feet to the putting surface. Make sure you select the proper club; because the Poplar River is lurking behind the green and is ready to give any ball hit long a ride to Lake Superior.

The Mountain 9 plays back to the ski area at Lutsen Mountain. Views of Britton Peak and Moose Mountain can also be seen when playing this 9. Coming back to the clubhouse Lake Superior is in your view. Always remember where the lake is located when on the putting surface. Number 6 is a brutal uphill 530-yard par 5. The finishing hole plays back toward the lake. If you have been hitting the tee ball well and can keep the ball in the fairway then an approach shot below the hole will give you a good chance at a birdie. If your driver has been letting you down throughout the round, hit the club you hit the straightest and play for the center of the fairway.

The North Shore is one of my favorite destinations in Minnesota. A trip to the North Shore is not complete without playing at Superior National. Inquire with your lodging facility for any coupons that may be offered to Superior National. You will also want to inquire while booking a tee time as to rates because there are mid-week and weekend rates available as well as twilight and all day unlimited play packages. Call for tee times at 1-888-564-6543.

The LED Industry Will Have A Great Change In The Future

The demand of the LED light is increasing continuously, and the growth of the market scale can reach fifty times. The LED illumination is the main application of the entire industry nowadays; the practitioners' allocation becomes the key of the next wave of this industry. Currently, the grain business takes twenty to thirty percent of the entire revenue, but the schedule of the package factories are not uniform and the process of getting profit is very slow.

The permeability of the LED illumination is about four percent to five percent in this year, and its luminescence efficiency is the same with fluorescent lamp. The permeability is able to reach ten percent in the next year, and the luminescence efficiency can be improved by twenty percent. Driven by the subsidy, the LED illumination is entering the business and family market from the basic applications, such as the plant illuminative light, medical care lamp. Some practitioners maintain that the LED illumination will have a good prospect, and they harden the allocation of the illumination. The demand of LED backlight is decreasing in the fourth quarter of this year, which will make the ratio of LED light high.

Although the leader of the LED package factory has released its own brand of illumination, it still emphasizes the application of backlight. Its ratio of LED light only takes five percent to six percent, which will increase to ten percent in the next year. And its sales will reach 1.5 billion in the next year. With the entrance of the other competitor, the original leaders may confront with different when they are trying to expand their customers, and even lose the leading status; what is more, the competition between the package factories is fiercer. It is predicated that the price of the LED will reduce, which will impact the gross profit in the next year. Experts maintain that the backlight and illumination will be the double engine in the future. But the development of the backlight may have the bottleneck in the future two for three years; therefore, the LED illumination will play a more important role. The market will have great change. Now, the integrated circuit is related Friends AIC1578PS .

Wall Lighting – Come Out of the Darkness

What would have become of man without lighting? Wall lighting illuminated the night and profoundly changed human existence. Wall lighting creates a comfortable living space whether it's for decoration or ambiance. It helps create magic and fantasy, for otherwise there would just be a dark shadowed space.

It has been rumored that in BC people would take a rock and cover the rock with moss. They would then soak the rock with animal fat and ignite. For control, wicks were later introduced …

From history we are aware that in the 1700's most homes or plantations used either candle fixtures or candelabras. They also carried candle sticks and candle lanterns. Then in the early 1800's oil lanterns were used. Most of these fixtures were made from tin, iron or wood. These lanterns were all hand made and some looked like the lighting fixtures we have today. Around 1860 kerosene oil and gas lighted many of these fixtures.

Then in 1879 the greatest invention of all came to be. This was the year that Thomas Edison invented the light bulb. This helped mold cultures for the Art Deco Era. Gas / electric combination lighting was used. Electric lighting was less expensive and less dangerous then gas. These fixtures were abundant in people's homes and were usually hung by a chain.

Electricity kept dropping in price until 1960. The equipment that generated the electricity began to climb and rise. This pushed up the utility bills and the average person started to struggle. People started to turn off their lights, they installed dimmers, timers, and sensors.

More and more people are starting to change to compact fluorescent lights. The downside is the color has less intense quality and a slower start up time. The latest is the LED. It is quick to start and the quality is exceptional.

Interior lighting refers to all lights within a building that is not exposed to the elements. Exterior lighting is the reverse. This lighting is outdoors and is exposed to the elements.

There are traditional, modern, and decorative style wall lights. You can have lighting fixtures from your wall, floor, table and ceiling.

There are also many different kinds of wall fixtures. There are adjustable, hanging, lanterns, torch, lamp, vanity lights, and wall sconces.

Wall mounted lighting fixtures extend from the wall between 4 and 10 inches. An adjustable fixture has an up light or down light with a swing arm The body of a hanging fixture hangs from a stem that is extended outwards from a wall. A wall lamp is any fixture that has a shade and is a similar style to a table lamp. The lights around or above a mirror are known as vanity lights. The wall sconce is a wall mounted fixture that only has one light.

You can find all these styles and types to fit any budget. There are many places to find all the unique and different varieties. Please make certain whatever you choose reflects your personality and the overall theme of your home.

Transformational Leadership Strategies – 5 Steps to Breaking Down Innovation Barriers

Very few leaders today solicit ideas outside their peer group, costing them time, money and competitive advantage everyday. The problem is that by not reaching out to employees and incorporating their feedback, many of today's leaders are stifling creativity and actually hindering their company's success. By not listening to different perspectives and developing new ways of thinking, they have actually created barriers to becoming a more efficient and innovative organization. Worse yet, employees do not feel valued by their company, which decreases general productivity, loyalty and overall teamwork.

How can you get your people back?

Start breaking down the barriers by asking yourself these questions:

Question 1: Is It Motivation or Ability ?

If your employees are not doing their job well, there are only two explanations, either they can not, or they will not. If they can do the job, the challenge is motivational. If they can not, the challenge is lack of ability or skills.

Question 2: Do Your Employees Own It ?

When people contribute ideas, time, effort, sweat and muscle towards a project, they feel like part of the solution. They feel valued. They feel worthwhile. They want to own it, and take pride in their work. They have given part of themselves and are now part of the answer. The quickest way to gain buy-in for any endeavor is to ask for people's advice, expertise, ideas or just their opinion. This will also build trust for future projects, as well as foster a culture of teamwork. People that are 'in the loop' feel energized and part of the organization.

TIP: Getting employees to buy into a system, project, idea, culture and perhaps, their future, is something that can be started late in the game, but as with everything, is easier and better when you do it up front. People begin to develop strong opinions and a work ethic around a new position within the first 90 days. If their experience is negative, gaining their trust back will be very difficult, but it is possible.

Question 3: Do They Have the Right Tools?

Let employees run with ideas and give them permission to fail. Give them the power to stop production or delivery of products if quality is not up to standard. What do they need to be successful and take your company to the next level? Why do not they have these tools? Are you losing money because of this? Your employees are your best asset. Make sure they have what they need to succeed and you will be successful together.

Question 4: Does Department V Know About Department K?

When people understand how the different parts of a company work, not just the small part they work for, they are in a better position to generate cross-departmental ideas and suggestions that may be locked up otherwise. Everyone has expertise and insight into areas they may not encounter everyday, and spreading this knowledge across your organization will improve the strength of the company, its competitive advantage and of course, its future.

Question 5: Did You Forget About You ?

People are looking to you for leadership and example. If you ignore them in the hallway, you will have an impact. If you solicit and value their suggestions on how to improve a business process, customer experience or day-to-day activities, you will have an impact. If you do nothing, you will have an impact!

Smart leaders know that employees will do what's right when they are able to take responsibility for their actions, and own it. The people who know best how the job should be done, are the ones doing it.

Are you getting in the way of your company's success?

Life Insurance Quote No Medical Exam – You May Be Able To Slide Through – Read On

First of all you can get life insurance quote with no medical exam, however, there’s no guarantee that you’re going to be approved for the insurance without the medical exam.

There are many of these policies are advertised on television where you might possibly be able to get some type of life insurance coverage without being seen, however, most of these are a special type of whole life insurance and they have their own policy inclusions and exclusions.

One common one of these is the fact that you have to wait at least two years to have full coverage come into effect. These policies differ and I highly recommend that you have three or four sent to you and read the fine print so you can compare them all, after which you can make an informed decision.

Just because you have certain health conditions doesn’t mean that you’re going to automatically be disqualified from getting life insurance. Of course, this will depend on what type of health conditions you have. For example, if you have terminal cancer you’re probably not going to qualify for life insurance. However, there are other conditions, such as certain types of diabetes, that won’t automatically exclude you.

You can get free quotes just about anywhere online. I recommend you take a advantage of a few of these free quotes and go forward with the process. This way you can talk to an insurance agent and find out exactly were you stand. You may even have one tell you that you can get approved right away, you just never know. I once had an individual that had applied to get life insurance and it failed to get past the underwriter, however, I ran is paperwork through and it came back approved. This individual was diabetic too so don’t ever yourself out.

Wood Burning Stoves In Your Home

Wood burning devices, such as fireplaces and stoves, are among the most dangerous systems found in the home. Poor installation, or lack of maintenance, can lead to a serious fire hazard.

Wood burning stoves and fireplaces are found in many homes, both older and new construction. These systems, because poor maintenance or improper installation is so common, can be the cause of a fire. Due to the vulnerability of these systems, the professional home inspector must carefully evaluate them.

More often than not, unless a chimney sweep or another professional has recently performed professional service, the home inspector finds a multitude of correctable problems that are significant safety issues. These concerns, while the list below is not intended to be inclusive, would typically involve heavy deposits of creosote in the stove, fireplace or flue (the purpose of the chimney is to vent exhaust gases not to collect combustible materials); broken or cracked firebricks; loose, torn or generally bad gaskets at doors; poorly planned and unsafe installations such as insufficient clearances to combustibles; or the very common malady of the short hearth. A hearth protects the floor and should extend out at least 18 inches past the opening of the wood-burning device. That non-combustible hearth on the floor protects carpets and flooring materials from being assaulted by burning embers.

As a result of the safety issues involved with wood burning devices and chimneys, the National Fire Protection Association recommends that a Level 2 chimney inspection should be made part of every sale or transfer of property. A Level 2 inspection is an in-depth inspection by a specially trained and licensed chimney professional. Such an inspection goes beyond the visual inspection provided by a home inspector and can catch subtle, but potentially serious, safety hazards that exist at the fireplace, stove, flue and associated components.

Dressing up your Basement Ceiling

Your basement ceiling might not be the first thing you think of when the subject of basement redecorating comes up. This is often a forgotten area although there are many possibilities that can actually give your basement a nicer overall look and feel. Here are a few tips to help dress up your basement ceiling a bit.

Suspended Ceiling

Often basements are left partially finished. This means you have open ceilings that show the studs, wires, and the under side of the floor boards above you. The quick solution for this is a suspended basement ceiling. These are easy to install and once installed your basement takes on a more homey feeling right away. You have easy access to any wiring and / or pipes that other ceiling options would have covered up but you do not have to look at them every day.

Drywall

The use of drywall to build your ceiling is not as difficult as it might appear. Drywall is fairly inexpensive so if you break a sheet you do not have to cry yourself to the poor house. Hanging drywall on your ceiling will give the room a professional look if done right. If you are unsure how there are many tutorials available online and you can talk to the staff at your local home improvement store. You can also hire professionals to hang the drywall for you. Once the drywall is installed you can paint, or texture and paint, your basement ceiling to give the room a finished look.

Ceiling Art

Since the days of Michelangelo, and before, ceiling art has been popular. This option will not only dress up your basement ceiling, it will add personality to your home. You can either paint a ceiling mural or you can hang art on the ceiling. Many dentist and doctor's offices are using this idea for their treatment room ceilings as well. The art gives you something to look at if you are laying down or looking up for extended periods of time.

Paint

You can always go back to the old stand-by of painting your basement ceiling if it needs a bit of perking up. It is amazing what a couple coats of paint on the ceiling can do for a basement. If you use a light color it will open up your basement, darker colors will increase the basement's resemblance of a cave. A fresh coat of paint is like giving your basement a face-lift.

Mirrors

If used tastefully, mirrors can improve the overall feeling of your basement. Mirrors can give the appearance of more space than truly exists. If you put mirrors on the ceiling or if you tile part of the ceiling in mirrored tile, you can make the room take on a much larger look and feel. While this does not really make the room bigger it does create an optical illusion of space. This is a great trick for those who are working with really small basements. If your ceiling is low you will want to make sure you do not hit the mirror and shatter it.

Lighting

Adding splashes of light that are aimed at the ceiling will give your basement a larger, more roomy feeling. You can create this look using many different approaches. The easiest is by purchasing floor lamps that are aimed at the ceiling. This can be a fun way to make use of your creativity while adding light to your basement.

These are only a few of many ideas you can use to change the look of your basement by working with your basement ceiling.
