Dare yourself to take a calculated risk for your happiness. Get a life and go out there and give your best shot.

One of the most important elements to get the someone special to share your life is to apply “The Law of Detachment”.

Have you ever experienced when you’re trying so desperately to remember something like a telephone number, a person’s name or recall a misplaced item that the harder you try, the more difficult it becomes?

Then, the moment you stop trying or just let it go. It suddenly pops into your head.

This experience is how the Law of Detachment works. This is a law of how as human beings work, without any conscious effort.

Let’s examine your own life history and experiences. If you listed an inventory of when really good things happened to you when you least expect it to happen (For example, you met someone very special, got a really good job, money came in unexpectedly).

Deepak Chopra in his book ‘The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success’ explains, “In order to acquire anything in the physical universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it.” In other words, you give up your attachment to the result.

A simple formula for practising this law is ‘work the process, focus on the activities, pay attention to the details and let go of the outcome.

Another method of practising detachment is to stop worrying. ‘The Power Of Now’ by Eckhart Tolle says, “Worrying is the projection of negative outcomes into the future, but has no basis in fact or reality.” In other words, worrying is futile; it creates anxiety, wasted time and emotional energy.

Focus in the present moment and concentrate on solutions and believe that every problem has a spiritual solution.

Opposite of Detachment

The opposite of detachment is attachment. Attachment happens when you want to control too much, when you want to force things to happen your way.

Why do people attach

People attach out of fear and insecurity (negative emotions). Attachment is worrying about falling into the “what if”, “What if this” or ‘what if that” happens… It will drive you crazy.

Think about this; the more you attach or let the negative emotions stay dominant, you become unhappy. Unhappy people are certainly not attractive.

Dating with Detachment

To apply the Law of Detachment to the dating situation is to let go of expectations in every step of the dating process.

Adopt this attitude when you go to an online dating site or a social function, tell yourself, “I let go of all expectations and let go and let god”.

In addition, when you have an enjoyable date do not project into the future and worry about how subsequent dates will work out. Keep an open mind and let things happen and know that whatever the outcome is for the best for all concern.

In dating, the payoff of practising detachment is that you will be happier in general, and happy people attract happy people.

Detachment and Hypnosis

The most effective and efficient method for practising the law of detachment is hypnotherapy.

The hypnotherapist work with client to detached to the specific situation of the client. Once the detachment strategy is in place, the hypnotherapist then helps the client use their mind power to create the new detachment behaviour, replacing the old, less functional, attachment behaviour.

The client then experiences less stress and anxiety to live in the ‘here and now’.

3 Types of Residential Insulation

It is a common misconception that insulation is only to keep warm air in and cold air out of a home. This is simply not true, it is also just as important in reverse. Insulation can help keep your home's temperature down in the summer which will help on your utility costs. Your air conditioner will not have to work as hard in a well insulated home.

Insulating materials contain millions of tiny air pockets that trap heat trying to pass through. The more air pockets per sq inch, the more the material is resistant to heat transfer. This level or resistance is measured in terms of "R-values". The "R" stands for resistance and the number represents the the level of effectiveness of the material. The higher number value the better it will resist heat transfer.

There are four types of insulation you should know about when thinking about your home; fiberglass, loose-fill, foam and ridig insulation.

Fiberglass Insulation: Fiberglass is the most common insulation in the United States and is used in both residential and commercial buildings. Fiberglass comes in two different forms; batt and blanket. Batt insulation is made up of rock wool or the fluffy fiberglass you think of. It usually comes in 4 to 8 foot lengths with a variety of different widths. Blanket insulation is very similar to batt except it comes in continuous rolls. This makes for less waste but is harder to handle.

Loose-Fill Insulation: Loose-Fill is either blown or poured into an area of a home, usually used for closed spaces such as attics, ceilings, walls and floors. Loose-Fill insulation comes in a variety of materials such as fiberglass, rock wool and cellulose.

Foam Insulation: Foam is also used to insulate closed spaces like walls, ceilings and floors Once the foam is injected into an empty space it will expand and harden to provide excellent R-values. Foam is the most expensive form of insulation and you will need to hire a professional if you are looking to insulate a large area.

Rigid Insulation: Rigid insulation consists of boards made of polystyrene. It is excellent for insulating roofs, ceilings, foundation basement walls and where you are looking to get a thin layer of insulation with a high R-value. Unlike the other types of insulation, rigid boards are very flammable so it is important to use where you can cover with a fire protection layer such as drywall.

Cement Rendering And Building Plastering

The purpose of rendering is two-fold, namely to weatherproof the building wall and to provide pleasing finishes of various textures. Plastering is a skilled trade and an expert plasterer should be employed wherever possible, as there are many points that can only be learnt by experience. However, if skilled help is not available, it is necessary to know the elementary principles involved, that is, how to prepare the surface, choose the mix, proportion the materials and apply the plaster.

The proportions of cement, lime and sand to use depend upon the purpose of the plaster and the nature of the building surface to which it is to be applied. A pure lime plaster is comparatively soft and weak and is slow setting, so it is usually gauged with cement to increase its strength and hardness and to shorten the period of hardening. The strength increases and the period of hardening decreases as the amount of cement increases in proportion to the amount of lime, until with a pure cement plaster with no lime, the strength is a maximum and the hardening period the least. However, as the proportion of cement is increased the plaster becomes less workable and more difficult to apply. The proportion of sand should not exceed three times the combined proportions of lime and cement. A stronger plaster should not be applied to weak porous backing or a strong finish coat to a weak first coat.

For external building plastering or ‘rendering’ on a dense material such as concrete, dense concrete blocks and hard clay bricks of low porosity, the best proportions to use are 1 part cement, 1 part hydrated lime and 6 parts sand by volume. On exposed building walls subject to driving rains the proportion of lime may be decreased and the cement increased to say 1 ¾:¼: 6 mix or a 1:4 cement plaster to which up to 10% of lime by weight of the cement is added to make it workable.

On external building walls of low strength and high porosity such as low quality breeze concrete blocks the external rendering should not be stronger than a 1:1:6 mix as above and a strong cement mix with little or no lime should not be used.

For internal plastering the best proportions are 1 cement, 1 lime and 6 sand; or 1 cement, 2 lime and 9 sand; or a lime mix only of 1:3 or 4 may be used, remembering that the cement increases the strength and hardness and reduces the period of hardening. For water containers such as fishponds only cement plasters should be used.

The weather during plastering and rendering may have considerable influence on the finished work. External rendering should be started on the shady side of the building to keep it unexposed to the sun as long as possible. No plastering should be done in frosty weather. In cold weather plaster hardens slowly and a longer period of time between coats should be allowed. In very hot weather the successive coats must be kept damp and protected from drying out for at least two days after application. Draughts and local sources of heat may cause too rapid drying out. Gentle heat and moderate ventilation are the best conditions for plastering.

Tiki Bar and Tiki Hut Headquarters

A Tiki bar creates an amazing atmosphere that must somehow conjure up the lost spirits of ancient man, which these days ends up in – a party! When people see a Tiki hut bar, they just somehow shift into instant party mode, the conversation flows and the great times begin.

Have you ever seen these "grass huts"? They're often found at resorts, in the Caribbean islands, at restaurants and occasionally, in people's own back yards. They're catching on in popularity, and for good reason. They provide a great addition to any poolside venue, and create a distinctive, island type atmosphere that most people only get to experience when on vacations.

There are a couple of kinds of Tiki bars. The "portable" Tiki bar is a smaller version, whereas the "Tiki hut" is the larger house-like structure, which often contains both a bar, seating areas, tables and decking. The unmistakable element of both types is the thatched roofing, a type of roofing that goes back many centuries and that's been used by cultures across the world.

A Tiki bar has that rustic feel of the islands, and looks like something the natives should be hovering around any minute. That's usually true – it's the party animals that just can wait to turn on some classic Jimmy Buffet music, crank up the blenders and let the good times flow!

A quality custom Tiki bar costs many thousands of dollars, due to its quality construction and workmanship. These bars have the telltale thatched roofing, made of palm leaves and other special materials. This roof is what really gives the Tiki bar and Tiki hut its distinctive appearance and feeling of being in the wild days of yesteryear.

Nowadays, it's certainly possible to readily find the materials you'll need to build your own Tiki bar. Of couse, you'll need some good plans and instructions to build one, because even though these structures look simple enough on the surface, there's a lot to know to build one properly so it will last for years. It's also important to ensure that it'll be safe for you and your guests.

A Tiki bar attracts and somehow conjures up the parties, and with the party often comes the alcohol, and invariably, some smokers. Since a Tiki bar is made of flammable materials, it's critical to use proper fire-proofing techniques when building it; otherwise, the whole thing could suddenly go up in a blaze – an abrupt end to a good time for all.

So, how do you build a Tiki bar? First of all, get some good plans from an experienced, reputable builder. Make sure these plans are complete, well-illustrated and include step-by-step how-to instructions that are easy to follow. It's a good idea to ensure you'll have access to assistance and consulting advice, especially if this is your first Tiki bar, or you want to customize it to your own liking.

Also, you'll need a few materials that may not be obvious or available in your area, so you'll need to know where to find these authentic materials. You'll also want a few specialty decor items to finish up your Tiki bar and make it your own.

A quality Tiki bar will weigh over 1,000 pounds, when you include its wood construction, shelving, support structure and the thatched roofing materials. You'll want to ensure this structure is properly designed, so it can safely hold the roof's weight, not blow over easily in high winds and be safe for people to lean upon (in whatever state of mind and body they may be in 🙂

Fortunately, there are good plans available today on the Internet that enable an average do-it-yourself type of person to build their own Tiki bar. The specialty materials can be readily ordered over the Internet. A quality, custom Tiki bar can typically be built in just a few days by an average do-it-yourselfer by following good plans and instructions.

There are also various options, like ceiling fans and controls, electrical hookups, shelving, glass holders and other options to consider in your own Tiki bar's design. Have a look around at several Tiki bars and Tiki huts to get some ideas of what's possible or contact an experienced builder and learn more.

So, if you've been wanting to host parties and give your back yard, poolside area or lakeside that island atmosphere, a Tiki bar could be just what you've been looking for. Crank up the music and the blenders and let the good times roll!

One question – when's the party?

Pest Control – Carpenter Bees

In general, carpenter bees are at their peak during the spring months. These bees are so named due to the fact that they create galleries inside wood by boring through and making their nests inside. They do not sting, but produce quite a bit of noise. This species looks similar to that of a bumble bee, but has less hair and no yellow. They enjoy settling themselves around homes; under eaves, and in cracks and fence posts. In this article, we will outline a few pest control solutions to help you ride yourself of these insects.

This is a very simple and effective tactic to help with pest control at your property. This method works best if used when the nest is relatively new. New nests tend to have a smaller number, making it easy to deal with.

Try vacuuming during the evening hours. It is during this time that the bees have likely returned to their nest. They are also a bit slower at this time of day and less likely to cause a fuss if disrupted. Simply press the nozzle to the entrance of the nest and flip the switch.

You may want to try spraying insecticides onto the nest itself. Most of these pest control products are quite effective at dealing with the insect. Natural alternatives are also available if you prefer. Application of the insecticide is ideal early in the spring, and as soon as the bees begin to manifest.

Use a substance such as putty or caulk to trap the pests in their galleries. Block the entrance to the best with the material, thus prohibiting their exit. They will be unable to burrow their way into these substances, and they will eventually die. Once this is done, you can even paint over the area to achieve the desired look. Painting will also work to prevent new galleries from being made in the future. This is a simple and very effective approach which requires minimal money and time.

Capturing the Queen

Capturing the queen is a great tactic when the next is new. Once you capture the queen, you must dispose of her. Each nest will have only one female, and multiple males. Capturing the female will ultimately ensure that the breeding process comes to a halt, and thus restricts any further reproduction. With time, the bees will simply die off.

In cases where you find the issue is a bit more intense, you may want to employ the help of a trained exterminator. In this fashion, you will best be able to address the problem, while making certain any additional issues are addressed as well.

Golf GPS Equipment Can Be A Wise Investment

With the rapid advancements in science and technology in recent years, several innovative devices have been produced to make life easier and more convenient. One gadget that has steadily been increasing in popularity is golf GPS equipment. Playing the game of golf is already hard enough and it becomes even more difficult when one is guessing the yardage into narrow fairways or small greens.

Basically, golf GPS equipment is a global positioning unit that tells you your exact distance from the front, center and back of every green on a golf course. The unit will also provide information about the distance of your previous shot.

There are numerous advantages and benefits when using one of these units. First is that you eliminate the guesswork and you have more control over your club selection and yardages. This is especially important when you are serious about wanting to improve your skills. Being able to pinpoint approach yardages and judge the distance to bunkers and hazards around the greens could save you a few strokes per round.

Aside from giving you a point of destination, this will help speed up your game because you already know beforehand just how far the target is as well as the surrounding geographical image. Equipped with this knowledge, you will have no trouble choosing your club and in the process, you will also be able to come up with the best strategy that is fitting for your shot. Because you can make preparations well ahead of time, you can save yourself from unnecessary errors and proceed to rake in those precious points instead. In addition, these benefits are available not just for one person but for all those who are playing together.

Golf GPS units range from the basic no-frills one to those top-of-the-range brackets that allow you to play videos and music. Some are equipped with pre-loaded courses and the ability to download more. There are also those that require a subscription but most allow you to download a certain number of courses without any charge.

Although golf GPS equipment does not come cheap, in the long run it will make a wise investment. It is built and constructed to withstand heat and other outdoor conditions so you will be able to use it for a very long time. Consider getting one for yourself or for a special someone you know who is truly passionate about this riveting sport. You will not regret your purchase. This is available in stores and some shops even offer it for sale online.

Improving the Push Up

Over my years as a performance coach I have performed and overseen 1000’s of postural/ movement assessments. In doing so, I have successfully used push-ups as both an assessment tool and as a corrective exercise. Here is one of the most common movement flaws I’ve seen

during the push up and a simple way to correct it. “Simplicity is the key to brilliance” Bruce Lee

Common Push Up Flaw – Faulty Spinal Alignment

This type of flaw is seen in just about gym and is normally caused by a lack of general body awareness, torso strength and postural stability. Faulty spinal alignment can appear as;

-Sagging head

-Sagging back (lordosis)

-Hunching back (kyphosis)

-Any combination of the above.

In some cases people will begin with ideal alignment and gradually loose alignment as the exercises progresses and fatigue sets in. In other cases they will start out right away with poor alignment. Regardless of when the fault happens, this is a muscle imbalance that needs to be corrected! The imbalance I’m referring to is that the mover muscles (chest, shoulders, triceps, etc;) involved in pushing the body away from the floor are stronger and posses more endurance than the spinal stabilizer muscles that are responsible for maintaining ideal alignment. In other words, you’re unable to control the movement and force that you can create. This can put you on the fast track to injury. It’s for this reason that I usually do a max rep test on the push up during my performance assessments. This allows me to see if their stabilizers give out before their prime movers. The solution to this alignment problem lies with a very high tech piece of gym equipment. A dowel rod. There is the 3 step progression we use to correct faulty spinal alignment issues using the dowel rod.

Step 1- Build awareness

The quadruped position shortens the lever arm (bent legs) and takes most of the load off the system while still keeping the torso and arms in a very similar position to the push up. The dowel is placed along the spine and is kept in contact with 3 points; back of the head (not the top), Thoracic region (between shoulder blades) and Sacrum (tail bone). This forces you to understand and become aware of proper alignment.

Step 2- Static control

The elbow plank takes what was learned in step one and lengthens the lever arm (straight legs). This increases postural stability and endurance in a manner necessary to perform the push up successfully. I try to progress everyone to be able to maintain this position for at least 1min without deviation. The hold time we choose for each individual is usually double the number in seconds of their max push up reps. Example= if your rep max is 30 push-ups then you should be able to hold the elbow plank for 60sec. We use this standard because the average push up is performed at a 1-1 tempo, which translates into each rep taking 2sec, at 30 reps that would take 60 sec.

Step 3- Dynamic control

Once awareness is created and strength/endurance is built, the final step is to integrate both components into the actual movement itself, in this case the push up. The dowel push-up is much more challenging than it looks because so much effort is dedicated to maintaining alignment. Eventually, as your postural endurance improves, this push- up will become easier. We try to get everyone to achieve the same rep max with the dowel rod as without it. Once you can do this, the dowel is no longer needed. Click here to see pictures of each exercise listed above.

A few additional notes on the above progression;

– During all (1-3) progressions, the dowel should remain in contact with the back of the head, T-spine and sacrum.

– Begin with neutral spinal alignment and stop the exercises when spinal curvatures change or the dowel falls.

– The worst your alignment is, the harder these exercises will be and the longer it will take to progress through them.

– Use a mirror at floor level to help with visual feedback, body position and awareness.

– In the case of a hunch back (kyphosis), I recommend you perform some additional anterior abdominal stretches because the rectus abdominals is most likely overactive.

Muscle Building Stack – Combine the Right Supplements for Maximum Gains!

Are your weight training and diet on point? Do you bust ass in the gym in the kitchen week after week to ensure the best muscle building progress possible? If so, you may be looking for that extra help, that little edge that will push your results even further. Sure, supplements only account for a small amount of any lifter's success, but why leave anything out? Here are a few tips on building the ultimate muscle building stack to eek every last bit of new muscle mass out of your program as possible.

1. Prioritize Protein!

You may already be focusing on protein in your muscle building diet, but it can not be said enough – protein is the most essential part of your diet AND supplementation program! If you're on a budget (and who is not?), You need to put your supplement money towards protein powders before anything else. Honestly, no other supplement is going to make a difference if you have not got this squared away.

How do you pick a good protein powder? There are tons of them out there, but if you follow a few basic criteria, you can easily narrow down your choices to a few quality products. First, only look for whey protein powders. Soy, rice, and other proteins are decent for vegans, but as long as you're okay with eating animal products, the amino acid profile of whey is the best you can get. Plus, it's usually the cheapest.

Second, look the number of fats and carbs in the protein. Even good, cheap protein powders should have close to zero fat and only trace carbs. Anything more than 2-3 grams per serving is too much. Even if you're trying to get lots of these nutrients in your diet, avoiding them in your protein will only benefit you. You'll end up with a shake that tastes better, is easier on your stomach, and that gives you the best results.

Finally, look for relatively cheap products. It's true that you get what you pay for, but if you buy in bulk, you can get great quality at an easily affordable price. Look for containers that contain between five and ten pounds of protein, that are made by a reputable company, and that cost anywhere from 8-10 dollars per pound. Any less, and you're probably getting junk. Any more, and you're getting ripped off!

2. Creatine is King

Many supplements, like protein powder, are simply replacements for certain types of foods. Others, however, contain few to no calories and are supposed to have other, supposed muscle building properties. Most of them are utter crap, but there are a few that can make a real difference in your training. Of these, creatine is the most effective, most time-tested, and even the cheapest!

Without getting too scientific, creatine works by allowing your cells to produce energy from food faster than they otherwise would be able to. This allows you to get more reps with any given weight in the gym, which means more muscle stimulation and more growth! It also tends to cause your muscles to hold more water, a very good thing for both strength and appearance. At 5-10 cents per serving, you can hardly afford not to use the stuff!

3. Recover Faster with BCAA's

BCAA's, or branched chain amino acids, have become a favorite among powerlifters, bodybuilders, and anyone else that trains hard and frequently and needs to be able to recover quickly. Supplementing with these specific acids (as opposed to just eating more protein) sends a signal to your body that tells it to rebuild and build muscle tissue FAST. If you have enough money to take high doses of this powerful supplement, your soreness will vanish, your recovery times will plummet, and you will gain strength faster than ever.

4. Cruisin 'on Caffeine

Pre-workout supplements are all the rage these days. Open up a bodybuilding magazine and you're sure to find tons of ads for pills and powders that are supposed to get you totally "amped" and "pumped" before the gym. Some of them work, and some of them do not, but you do not need to buy any of that crap to get energized for a hard training session. Just take some caffeine! A relatively large, concentrated dose can do wonders if you're feeling tired, or if you're about to have a particularly taxing workout. The best way to get caffeine is through pills (which are dirt cheap) or by just drinking a few cups of strong coffee. If you want, combine the caffeine with some carbohydrate-rich food a couple of hours beforehand, and you'll have the best workout possible without wasting your money on gimmicks!

5. Why "Stack" Anyway?

If you're trying to build a specific muscle building stack, you may be under the impression that combining certain supplements has some kind of magical effect on muscle building that can not otherwise be achieved. This is nonsense from supplement companies trying to peddle multiple products! The human body is immensely complicated, and the companies making these products do not really know how some combination of this and that is really going to be different from simply taking a few good products all at once. Instead of worrying about the "perfect stack," just buy the quality supplements you can afford, take them consistently, and reap the rewards.

Fireplaces – Their Beginnings

Campfires were the first type of “fireplace” and has been around for thousands of years. It is impossible to document the first “fireplace” or “campfire.” However, scientists have documented them as far back as 40,000 plus years. Depending on location many ancient cultures around the world replaced outside “campfire” style fireplaces with inside “fire pits” to serve for warmth and cooking needs. A fire pit let smoke escape through holes in the roof and was a prototype of a modern chimney. However true chimneys, with smoke stacks, would not be invented for hundreds of years later with the stone fireplace or brick oven just before the early Roman period. It is not known what culture first brought the fireplace inside a residence, but it was probably a cold climate society.

During the late 1600’s and into the early 1700’s, the fireplace saw more than one advancement, one which would be the convection chamber, by Benjamin Franklin. The fireplace convection chamber greatly improved the efficiency of fireplaces and wood stoves.

In palaces and wealthy homes of the day the fireplace was turned into a luxurious work of art. Flanked by marble pillars, adorned with statues, mirrors, oils paintings and sometimes decorated with beveled glass, the fireplace was meant to make a statement of wealth and privilege.

As of now, the modern age of the 21st century, only 9% complete, fireplaces have advanced to electric status. Many modern fireplaces are made of marble or stone and many are even decorated with flat screen televisions. For small spaces like an apartment or highrise flats, a pellet stove may add just the right modern feel.  For those who live in small log cabins a wood stove normally provides all the warmth one needs.

For someone who might want an outdoor or back yard fireplace is going to have a choice of a wide rage of designs.  On the market today one can find small fireplace kits to big outdoor stone fireplaces, with even a side grill.

Using Arc Floor Lamps in Your Home

Arc floor lamps are a special breed of floor lamps, and differ from the average model in their shape only. They’ve been around for decades, but only in the last twenty or thirty years have home interior design become such an important concern. To achieve a truly unique, warm and welcoming feel to your rooms, consider floor lamps as a possible solution.

Arc (or arch in another popular spelling) floor lamps come in many shapes and sizes, but they’re more often made of metal than any else material normally found in lamps. Metal standing lamps have their ups and downs whether they’re arched or standing straight.

The first thing you will notice that metal lamps are heavy. They’re not just a little thick-boned, but seriously bulky at times. It means that they will be hard to trip. A little knock or bump will not do it, which makes them safer for homes where children or pets are free to run around. It also makes them have a sturdy, rigid look. They almost feel authoritative. It’s like if they were saying ‘Look at me, I’m the most important piece here, and it’s going to stay that way.’

When a bigger knock trips the piece over, it’s going to demolish everything in its way, let that be a glass table or your favorite vase. According to Murphy it will be both. The weight also can be a disadvantage if you want to move a few objects around in your room, or carry the lamp somewhere.

Arc floor lamps also have the great feature that they come in multiple head variations. They can either be single-headed, or multi-headed in which case the switch is a turn-knob that switches all lamps on, off or in any possible fashion. This is why arc lamps are often superior to other floor lamps in the same price range; they can either give a dim background light, or shine with full brightness making the big lamps redundant.

Goose neck arc lamps are also possible, that can be bent in any way you like. It comes pretty handy if you like to read on your couch and the lamp just happens to be next to it.

Arc floor lamps are not the most prolific piece of furniture you will ever have in any room, but they’re just as good as any else lamp, if not better. If you’re missing that extra touch, which turns your living room from ‘just another room’ to ‘my favorite room’, a standing lamp may be the solution due to its great ability of doubling as a warm and friendly ambient light source.

Hoyt Alphamax 32 Review

This Hoyt Alphamax 32 review is aimed at hunters and archers who want to know more about this bow design, shootability, specifications, ratings, and other aspects.

Innovative design solutions

With a lot of innovative design solutions, the Alphamax 32 represents a new generation of Hoyt compound bows. Hoyt engineers redesigned their major bow components and systems while building this bow. As a result, this rig has received a lot of great feedback from experts and consumers. Let’s see why.

To begin with, the Alphamax 32 is equipped with a bunch of new and innovative solutions developed by Hoyt in 2009. The riser, eccentric system, lock pocket system, and limbs are all new compared to previous Hoyt bows.

Lightweight yet stable bow

At only 3.9 lbs the new Alphamax 32 is much lighter than you could expect. Many arches know that a lightweight bow can compromise overall balance and stability. Obviously, Hoyt engineers had known about this challenge and put their best efforts to deliver a well balanced bow. The only way to find out whether or not these attempts have been successful is to analyze feedback from real archers. I will show you where to find the answer to this and many other interesting questions a bit later.

The new laminated limbs are designed to be light and durable. Not only do they help to further reduce the weight of this bow, but they are also very strong. According to Hoyt the limbs can survive 1000 dry-fires test which is very impressive.

Lock pocket system

Another major change on this rig is the new ZT Lock pocket system designed to tightly connect the limbs to the riser. While designing this system, Hoyt aimed at improving accuracy and consistency.

Eccentric system

The Alphamax 32 is outfitted with the new Cam & 1/2 eccentric system that is very efficient and delivers great shootability. This cam system allows for draw length adjustments from 26 to 30″ without using a bow press. Although this is not a cam specific eccentric system, it does have 2 different cams. While one of them covers 26″-28″ draws, the other is used to adjust draw length from 28 to 30 inches. So, be careful when buying this bow and ensure it comes with the right cam. Once you have the right cam on your bow, the draw length is adjustable in 1/2 inch increments within the cam’s range.

When it comes to shootability, this bow has it all: smooth draw cycle, solid back wall, and minimal recoil. Obviously, there is no better way to understand how this rig shoots than doing it yourself. The only other way is to read unbiased reviews from real shooters. I will soon show you a great online resource containing information about this and many other compound bows.

Modifications and specifications

Interestingly, in 2010 Hoyt manufactured two different versions of the Hoyt Alphamax 32. The only difference between the two is the eccentric systems. The first modification comes with the previous Z3 Cam system, whereas the other version is equipped with the new XTR Cam & 1/2. Below are the specs for both modifications:

Wine Barrel Planters in 5 Easy Steps

Using Wine Barrels as planters make unique gifts or additions to your home. They are easy to make and look great in your garden or entrance to your house.

Step 1. Purchase or find a used Barrel

The first thing you need to do is find a used wine barrel. If you live by a winery, they will sometimes give away used barrels. Otherwise you will need to purchase one. You'll want to buy one locally as an empty oak barrel can weigh 120 lbs which makes it too costly to ship.

Step 2. Drill holes and cut in half

Once you have your wine barrel you will need to saw it in half using a hand saw. Or you may choose to have your lumber yard cut it for you. Now you have two half barrels to use as planters. For each planter, drill 4 1/2 inch holes in the bottom to allow for drainage.

Step 4. Place your barrels and add small rocks for drainage

To avoid heavy lifting, place your wine barrels where you want to locate them before adding soil. Good drainage is important for your plants as well as preserving the wood of the planters. For better drainage, place some bricks underneath the barrels. Add small rocks, gravel or broken clay pot fragments to the bottom inch or two of the barrel. This will also help with proper drainage.

Step. 4 Add soil and plants

Now it's time to fill it with potting soil. Add soil but do not fill it to the very top. You do not want soil running out of the barrel when you water so leave some room at the top. Once the soil is added, start your flowers or plants using the seeds of your choice or add plants that are already grown.

Step 5. Water

Make sure you provide an ample amount of water to your new plants. You should soak them until you see water draining out the bottom of the drainage holes.

Once watered, your Planters are complete.

How to Install Kitchen Sink Drains

Installing a kitchen sink drain may seem like a task that requires special knowledge, however, when you know the steps involved in such a project, it is actually a moderately easy undertaking. The following are a number of tips to installing kitchen sink drains.

1. Make sure the water is turned off before you start the project. Before you remove the old sink drain, you should place a towel on the surface underneath the ‘U’ shaped pipe along with a bucket to collect any water that spills when you remove the old pipe.

2. Unscrew the nut that secures the sink basket to remove it. Remove the existing drain pipe that connects the drain to the under part of the sink by using a pipe wrench to loosen the nut. Turn the “u” wrong side up, (upside down,) to drain any excess water. Where the old pipe enters the central drain, unscrew it, and remove. This is normally the pipe coming through the back end of the sink.

3. Clean all around the area where the sink basket was removed to get rid of any debris so that the new sink basket does not leak once installed. Prior to the project, you should have purchased a drain pipe kit. Special drain pipe kits can be purchased at hardware stores. These kits are helpful for the novice as they ensure that all of the individual components fit together and are threaded correctly. They also contain important installation directions which are easy to understand.

4 The sink basket has to be installed from underneath the sink. First, put on the rubber washer. Then, affix the cardboard washer. Once the washers are on tight and secure, add the nut and tighten. It is important to make sure that the basket is centered to avoid leaks.

5. It is essential that you follow the drain pipe kit’s instructions on how each piece should be put together. A kitchen drain kit will contain all of the appropriate cutting pipes and sealing joints and will be properly measured and cut. Make sure every connection is secure to avoid leaks. You will need to use plumbers tape to wrap the threads of every connection.

6. When you attach the P-trap, you have to make sure the “V” shaped washer is pointing downward. As well, make sure you check every nut to ensure they are secure and tight.

7. Use the plumbers wrench to screw the pipe back into and affix it to the bottom of the sink drain. Make sure all of the connections are tight and secure so that there are not any leaks. Adjust the extension on the drain to make sure it matches the basin of the sink.

Installing the drains in a kitchen sink is a basic project that most people can handle without the help of a professional. If you run into any problems where you are unsure about what you are doing, or you are worried you may be causing damage, you should call a professional plumber.

Soccer Agility Drills

Soccer Speed, Agility and Quickness Drills

The ability to stop, start, cut and sprint are extremely crucial skills needed to be successful in soccer. Here are 6 of our top soccer agility drills for players that can be used and are great in a team setting.

1. Ground Marker Drill

1). Place 4 ground markers out in a straight line approximately three yards apart.

2). In between each set of markers place another marker only three yards to the left.

3). Players are to sprint from one marker to the next bending down to touch each one with your hand.

4). The emphasis is on taking quick side steps, rather than turning to face the marker and sprinting forward – that takes more time (which don’t have in a game).

2. Teamate Chase Drill

1). Mark out a large area – 20 yards by 20 yards for example.

2). Pair up with a team mate and have them run randomly within the area.

3). Try to maintain 2 yards distance from them at all times. Your team mate should be changing direction and pace constantly.

3. Corner Sprint Drill

1). Use four cones to mark out a square approximately five yards by five yards.

2). Place a cone in the center of the square. This is your starting position.

3). Give each corner a number and remember it! Have a team mate (or your coach) call numbers at random.

4). Sprint to the corner shouted and return to the middle.

4. Shuttle Take-off Drill

1).Place two ground markers 20 yards apart. Place marker in the middle only three yards to the side.

2). Starting from the middle marker sprint to one end (10 yards), turn and immediately sprint to the other end (20 yards) and then back to the start (10 yards).

3). Turn on a different foot at each marker and try to touch the ground with your hand.

5. Cross Drill

1). Set a series of cones out in a cross formation.

2). Run backwards to the center cone, side step to the right cone (or your left if you are performing the drill), side step back to the centre cone still facing the same way.

3). At the center cone turn and sprint forward to the end cone. Now run back to the enter cone, side step to the left, side step back to the center, then turn and sprint back to the start.

6. Weaving Shuttle Drill

1). Place 10 shuttles in a line 5 yards apart.

2). Weave in and out as fast as possible and walk back to the start.

3). This exercise is often performed much more slowly with a ball. The goal here is to develop speed of leg movement so no ball is used.
