How to Break Down His Emotional Walls – Ways to Get Your Man Closer to You

Your relationship with your guy has been filled with some amazing moments. You can feel the connection between the two of you and it’s incredibly satisfying. It’s not all perfect though and there’s one issue that tears away at your heart a little more each day. He’s not as open as you wish he was. You recognize that everyone is different but you feel that he’s holding back in a way that may eventually end up causing friction between the two of you. You want to break down his emotional walls but so far you haven’t been able to figure out how to do that. It’s not nearly as challenging as you may think if you have the right insight and an understanding of how to appeal to him in such a way that his emotional flood gate opens and he feels freer to love.

If you want to break down his emotional walls you must make him feel safe. Most men are very vulnerable when it comes to their feelings and that’s one of the main reasons they hide their hearts away. If a man has been hurt by a former girlfriend or lover he’s going to throw up those emotional barriers as a sign of defense. In order to break them down you have to show him that you can indeed be trusted and the best way to do that is to help him to feel cherished and loved by you.

Begin by respecting his need to have those walls right now. Chasing after him, asking him to open up more, will only result in him building a bigger emotional barrier between the two of you. He needs to be coaxed out of that shell, and compassion and love are the ways to do that. If he doesn’t want to talk about what he’s feeling, don’t ever push him. If he’s not ready to say he loves you yet, be patient. Allow him to work through his insecurities on his own time frame and just continue to be supportive and present.

A man needs to completely trust his partner if he’s going to overcome his emotional hurdles. That’s why you can’t ever resort to games of jealousy in an effort to get a man to break down his emotional walls. It won’t work. He’ll likely break up with you instead of trying to get closer to you. You’re much better off being an open book with him and allowing him access to all parts of your life. If you do that and stay on course with telling him how much he means to you and showing him at every opportunity, he’ll start to soften his resolve and want to be closer to you as well.

Cowhide Rugs – Are They More Hardwearing Than Synthetic Rugs?

It’s important to consider that poorly made rugs can have a negative impact on the overall rug lifespan. Some of the issues that can occur when cowhide rugs have been poorly tanned include the loss of hair from the rug along with curling on the corners and early wear. Choosing a knowledgeable and experienced vendor for a cowhide rug is important and research should be done in advance of any purchase so as to ensure that the investment in such a rug is made with a reputable seller.

Proper creation of high quality cowskin rugs generally involves advanced tanning techniques which have become highly sophisticated in recent years and have allowed manufacturers to offer real rugs that will last a lifetime with the correct care in the typical home. A good quality cow hide rug will be chrome tanned to prevent hair loss and curling, and mostly be free of patches or scars. Due to the natural nature of cowhide some scarring and branding may be present on the hide. This should not be mistaken fo a defect, it is simply one of the inherent characteristics of cowhide due to it’s natural origins.

One of the significant differences between a synthetic rug and one made of real cowskin is the fact that each true cowhide rug is going to be just a little different in appearance and will be a unique type of rug while synthetic rugs are often created in such a way that every single rug is exactly the same when it is constructed. A home owner may feel that a unique rug would enhance the value of the home’s interior.

Ensuring that cowhide rugs will have a long, healthy lifespan involves caring for the rug properly and also treating it right while it sits on the floor. The main element of proper cowskin rug care includes never allowing it to be soaked with water and keeping it vacuumed on a regular basis. Brushing it regularly can also help keep the rug looking fresh and glossy.

With proper care and regular maintenance, a true and natural cowhide rug will last for decades and may even look better over time than a synthetic rug that will wear down at a swifter rate. Should a home owner be considering decorating with a cowhide rug and be willing to spend minimal time cleaning and vacuuming the rug, purchasing authentic cowhide is highly recommended.

John Deere Parts – Aftermarket and Part Number Selection

John Deere parts for engines are provided for all major models, including the six (6) cylinders, and four (4) cylinder engines, for tractors, combines, harvesters, marine, excavators, wheel loaders, skid steers and other construction equipment.

John Deere Parts for engines needs to be identified as either for a non PowerTech engine or a PowerTech engine. This identification can best be done on the engine identification tag:- the engine is labeled as PowerTech.

Alternatively, an analysis of the serial numbers of the engines can determine is the engine is PowerTech or non-PowerTech. All John Deere engines manufactured in Torreon, Mexico, are PowerTech engines. The others have serial number breaks that determine this.

This factor is significant, as a 4045 engine can be either PowerTech or a normally aspirated non-PowerTech engine. Replacement parts for both can be significantly different, as both engines were designed for different applications and to different standards.

Engine parts can be either in the engine itself, or accessories to the engine, fitted to the external body of the engine.

John Deere Engine parts for overhaul kits are typically sold with pistons, piston pins, piston pin retainers, rings, liners (cylinders of sleeves), o ring kit, main bearings, connecting rod bearings, connecting rod bushings and bolts, rear crankshaft seal, front crankshaft seal, and thrust washers. The complete gasket overhaul set includes the head gasket set, lower oil pan set, and other gaskets for water pump, oil pump, hydraulic pumps, injector grommets, and exhaust manifold gaskets.

The external engine accessories can include the injectors, new, rebuilt or good used, crankshafts, oil pump, tachometer cable, exhaust manifold, timing chain gear, flywheel, ring gear, fuel lift pump, carb kit, gauges, sending units and sensors, and valve train kits.

Valve train kits includes exhaust valves, intake valves, valve seals, valve springs, valve intake guide, valve exhaust guide, and lock valves.

Some of the early John Deere engines were built for gas, as in the early tractors. Gas engine parts are sold aftermarket, as well as John Deere diesel engine parts.

Camshaft, rocker shafts, tappets, and rocker arm bolts are provided aftermarket. Connecting rods are sold new aftermarket, rebuilt, or good used.

Cylinder heads, glow plugs, cylinder blocks, short block, long block, short block, crankshaft gears, alternators, starters, fan belts, water pumps, and water pump kits are readily sold as aftermarket.

These engines are now manufactured in accordance with Tier 11 and Tier 111 EPA emissions standards. These are standards that were introduced gradually by the US EPA to reduce emissions/pollution from diesel combustion engines.

The choice of the correct replacement John Deere Parts for engines will depend on the information provided by the machine/engine owner. As a rule, the machine/engine serial number is not sufficient to select engine parts. John Deere engines are renowned for requiring the casting number that is embedded onto engine components. These include the piston, connecting rod, crankshaft, cylinder head, cylinder block, and water pump housings.

Notwithstanding the above, the machine serial number and the engine serial number are added pieces of information that are needed for correct component replacement.

The Effects of Creatine on a Bodybuilder’s Physique

Creatine, arguably the most powerful, legal, sports supplement on the market for over a decade, is not much more than a combination of amino acids. Creatine was not invented by any supplement company it was discovered in 1835 by a French scientist and philosopher named Michel-EugèneChevreul.

While there are many benefits to Creatine beyond exercise (brain, heart, the body’s production of growth hormone, anti-aging effects, fatigue, muscle atrophy, Parkinson’s disease and more) many bodybuilders look for the immediate physical results of this dietary sports supplement. Let’s take a look at the effects of Creatine on a bodybuilder’s physique.

Top 3 Creatine Supplementation Physical Effects:

  • Increase in muscle size
  • Increase in body mass
  • Decrease in body fat

Shortly after commencing supplementation with Creatine (assuming you are not part of the approximate 33% that does not respond to Creatine supplementation) you will notice an increase in muscle size and overall body mass.

The initial muscle size comes from a term called “muscle volumizing.” Creatine draws water into the cell through a process of osmosis. As the water is drawn in the muscle’s cells, the muscle physically swells with water. Thus, the initial size is because of this muscle volumizing. This muscle volume increase leads to an increase in body composition.

Because of Muscle Volumizing, the effect of Creatine on a bodybuilder’s physique can increase body weight by 1-3 kilograms (2-7 pounds) during the first week of supplementation alone! This is the weight gain most commonly associated with Creatine supplementation. It’s not actual muscle being built at this point but water in the muscles that is stored. During a Creatine cycle, you might feel more pumped and full because of this process.

With over 300 peer reviewed published scientific studies, Creatine supplementation has been shown to promote the growth of lean muscle (through an increase in exercise intensity, recovery and increased protein synthesis). Without a doubt, the increase in work because of the available energy is responsible for an increase in intensity and work which leads to more lean muscle mass. As mentioned above, muscle volumizing helps contribute to the noticeable lean muscle mass. Because muscle has a higher metabolic rate than fat, it burns more calories at rest. By increasing muscle mass, you will burn more calories and make it harder for your body to gain body fat. Creatine supplementation is an excellent way to help promote lean muscle mass which will help burn more fat.

While there are several more positive effects of Creatine supplementation on the bodybuilder’s physique, the most obvious are an increase in muscle mass through volumization, and increase in body weight and a loss of body fat from an increase in lean muscle mass.

THHN Compared to THWN 6 AWG Electrical Wire

THHN and THWN differ in terms of their acronym but both approvals are placed on the same electrical wire nowadays. Years ago there was THW, THHN, THHW, THWN and even more types of electrical wire. As time went on it became tedious for manufacturers to make and inventory each different kind so they started putting multiple approvals on a single type of electrical wire.

That being said, you can now buy THHN wire that is also rated THWN and THW. To better understand take a look at what each letter of the acronym means below:

T – Thermoplastic

H – Heat resistant

H – High Heat resistant

W – Water resistant

N – Nylon Coating

As you can see above a single rated THW wire would be missing the “N”, or nylon coating. Therefore it would come with a thermoplastic insulation that’s Heat and Water resistant. It’s become much easier for suppliers to order from the manufacturers as well because they can sell one item that covers many approvals.

The initial comparison was THHN 6 AWG compared to THWN 6 AWG electrical wires. Do you understand the difference now based on the descriptions above? THHN is not “water resistant” and in the past was not approved for outdoors use. Many contractors, electricians and installers would have to specify THHN VS THWN because they may have been doing an installation indoors or outdoors which required a different type of wire.

Nowadays it’s an all-in-one universal electrical wire for indoors, outdoor and conduit use. The only approval it doesn’t have yet is for underground use. If you need an underground cable you’ll need to reference UF-B cable which stands for “underground feeder”. If you need a single conductor 6 AWG wire that can be buried directly in the ground you can also use USE-2 solar panel wire.

You can probably imagine how many different types of insulation can be used for a simple 6 AWG copper wire. The options and applications are nearly endless due to the minor details, such as a “W” for water resistant that can change the entire application of that wire. There’s also PVC insulation, rubber EPDM, PTFE high temperature, silicone, braided silicone and much more. Each type of insulation attacks requirements such as voltage, amperage, temperature, environmental conditions and more.

Have you ever been walking through a fair and seen black cables running along the ground? Those cables also need to be protected against people walking on them, being dragged across pavement and being run over by other trucks and cars before the fair starts. One puncture of a cable and one of the trucks will be closed for business that day.

Alternative Things To Do in Prague – Visiting Prague’s Historical Towers

There are so many things to do in Prague that it’s easy to fill your time in this splendid city. Even if the weather is poor your list of options can include tours, museums, monuments and cafes just to name a few. But what about alternative things to see and do in this medieval city?

One of our favorite uses of free time is to visit one of the many spire topped towers in Prague. After all, Prague is considered the City of One Hundred Spires and these awesome spires make up one of the more memorable European skylines.

There are numerous reasons to visit at least one of these remarkable towers. Of course, their views are reason enough to visit, but they are also fairly inexpensive with tickets costing just a few dollars and many towers offer discounts for seniors, students and children. You can also save by purchasing family tickets if you have two adults and one or two children. In addition, most towers offer visitors a historical exhibition inside that gives each landmark some added value.

The best and most comprehensive view of Prague is the 360 degree view from atop Old Town Hall tower. Located on the corner of Old Town Square, this Gothic tower has a wraparound walkway at the top and each side has a glorious view. This perspective of Prague will only deepen your idea of the city’s archaic layout and the tight swarm of historical buildings nearby. From here, visitors can take advantage of a viewpoint of Old Town Square that the tourist crowds below will likely miss. Luckily, this tower is one of the few that has an elevator which makes it accessible to all ages.

The two towers that bookend Charles Bridge are also worth visiting. Both towers offer incredible views of the 14th century bridge, Lesser Town and the banks of Old Town. Inside, you’ll see that the towers themselves have changed only slightly from their first days. You can note their interesting stone interiors and splendid rooftop lookouts at the top of each one. If the views weren’t enough, each of these towers include historical exhibitions as well making a visit well worth the small admission fee. Unfortunately, neither of these towers have elevators.

Another tower worth climbing is the Baroque bell tower of St. Nicholas’ Church in Lesser Town. Built in 1755, it stands strong beside the green dome of the church. The tower also has the distinctive feature of once being a small hideout for State Secret Police. The police used the tower to spy on residents below and today there is a small exhibition inside that recreates the spy den that was once here. Of course at the top of the tower you will find magnificent views of Lesser Town, Petrin, Strahov Monastery and many other attractions.

Lastly, one of the most notable towers in Prague is the bell tower at St. Vitus’ Cathedral in the heart of Prague Castle. Admission to this 14th century beauty is included in either general ticket to the castle and is well worth the tight climb to the top. From the peak, visitors can experience a visual treat with an expansive view of the city as well as scenes that reach beyond the city’s edges. Of course, there is no elevator here and the narrow staircase may not be for everyone, but most visitors find the majestic view at the top to be well worth the climb.

These towers are just a few examples of great vantage points in Prague. Visit any of them for picture perfect views. Your camera will thank you.

Organizing With Custom Closet Systems

Custom closet systems do not have to be expensive to benefit your specific closet organization needs. There are many adjustable closet solutions on the market today. Custom closets can be made of many different materials including wood, metal, and plastic. Plastic is the cheapest closet organization material and many plastics are now being fabricated from recycled materials. Choosing the cheap custom system for your closet requires some measuring on your part. Once you have the measured height and width of your closet you can then begin shopping around for materials and design. Closet organizers come with many different types of organization solutions. Some have hanging space and drawers while others also contain some kind of shelving.

Once you have your adjustable custom closet system in place, you can then begin to add other organizational tools like space saver hangers, plastic containers, shoe organizer, and much more. Space saver hangers can be used to store twice the amount of clothing when compared to regular hangers. The hangers are designed so they can easily be loaded with hanging clothing but then they fold down so you have more space for other items. Plastic containers can be used to store seasonal clothing that does not need to be accessed daily or accessories like socks, belts, and jewelry. Shoe organizers are a great way to use the space behind a closet door or at the bottom of a closet to neatly store shoes in pairs so they can easily be accessed when needed.

You can find many closet organizing solutions on the internet. There are many sites that focus on customizing your closet so that it functions according to your personal needs. Some closet systems are simple and straight forward. The assembly and installation of a closet organization system should be easy and quick. Choose durable materials that can withstand the weight of your items especially if you plan to maximize the closet space by stacking bins and boxes. You can also pay to have a custom system installed but that alternative is quite costly. Custom closet organization is costly because they are made of more expensive materials like wood or metal. Custom closets do however add more value to your home in the long run.

What Services Do Plumbers Provide?

As we all know a plumber is the one who works in lead, copper, fits, repairs pipes for the transportation of water, gas or drainage. He provides us many services. His services can be understood by the word “plumbing” which describes all his services. Not only do Plumbers work with water, drainage and venting they also do gas, pipe and in some cases steam fitting.

A service plumber may provide different services which may include the repair of septic lines, tanks, and emptying septic tanks. He also repairs pipe cracks, unblocks pipes, replaces damaged and broken pipes, fixes leaking faucets. He also provides utensils to clean up floods and untidiness caused by backed or broken waste lines

Many Plumbers work with keeping in mind the health and safety point of views and systems. The well trained and professional licensed plumbers are very educated and trained to fix a variety of plumbing problems and they understand the complexities and sensitivity of plumbing systems. This allows them to repair problems to the complete satisfaction of their customers. They have the skills, apparatus, utensils, experience, familiarity, and education to analyze and mend a variety of plumbing problems. All of them have knowledge and information about how to increase or decrease the water pressure. They can easily mend common nuisance issues such as water hammer and frozen pipes. They know the mechanism of the course of water and wastewater coming into and out of the home.

They know each and everything about how to mount the pipes running from a home or building to the common source such as in a city system or a town system. They can easily find what and where the problem is occurring. They are also certified to work in the area of commercial and local residential areas. The person who has his own business such as an office and restaurant building knows the value of plumbers. They are a very important element of the drawing, design and construction of homes and buildings. So, from the above we can come to know about all the services they provide us. Plumbers provide many services that are very significant to the community.

Just because do plumbing does not make you a Plumber because a real Plumber is one who has either his Journey or Master Plumbing License. When you do not have any of these licenses you are known as an Apprentice and should be working under either a Master or Journey Plumber. This is not just something we decided it is actually a code violation to have an unlicensed Plumber on any job which is required to have permit if they are not supervised by a Master or Journey plumber.

Choosing Ceramic Tiles – What to Know

If you are going to buy ceramic tiles for a ceramic tile backsplash, floor tiles, wall tiles or even ceramic tiles for ornamentation there are specific factors to know in choosing which tile is best for your application. Not all tiles are created equal and the differences can determine if your ceramic tiles will hold up to the use you are putting them.

For example, low fire tiles or tiles that have only been through a bisque firing are generally less expensive but not nearly as durable as high fired tiles. Even if the tile has been glazed, it may still have only gone through one firing and very possibly only a low firing so the fact of it being glossy and colorful is no indication that the tile has the durability of a high-fired tile. Greenware – ceramics that has dried but not been fired, can be glazed with a low fire glaze and fired to a comparatively low temperature.

Such a cermic tile would not be suitable for certain applications. For example if you intend to use the tile for a backsplash, counter top or tabletop you will need a very durable tile that will hold up to frequent cleaning and in the case of a countertop or tabletop, some hard use too. Stoneware clays are the most suitable for this sort of use. Stoneware is normally fired to about cone 6 (around 2200 degrees F) and is very strong.

But in your inquiry, don’t stop with what kind of clay the tiles are made from. Glazes vary enormously and even so-called ‘food-safe’ glazes can leach out chemicals, stain and lose their color. Many manufactured tiles are poorly made and will not hold up to the uses they are marketed for. Of course, there are many quite excellent manufactured tiles too so you need to inquire to be sure. That information however may or not be readily available.

The kind of ornamentation of the ceramic tile is important too. For a ceramic countertop or tabletop, the tiles should be flat. For a backsplash the tiles can have low relief but high relief will be difficult to clean and is not generally advised.

Fireplaces, murals, mosaics and facades can be either flat, have low relief or high relief and low fire glazes are OK in these applications. Be careful though with areas that will get much use, such as around a fireplace where logs will be placed or fireplace tools will be used. Low fire tiles and glazes can crack or chip much more easily than stoneware and high fire glazes. Also, if it is an area that will require frequent cleaning, high relief may prove troublesome.

For ceramic walls in dry areas not subject to much physical contact most any type of tile and glaze is adequate. For wet areas flat tiles, low relief tiles or even high relief tiles can be used so long as they are not in a hazardous place that a body can inadvertently come into contact with them. A large frog leaping out from your shower wall at body height is probably not a good idea.

Obviously, porous tiles are not good for wet areas. So long as the tile is vitreous – has been fired to maturity such that the crystalline structure is unified – the tile or glaze is OK, however the joints between the tiles will need to be sealed. Again, the best bet here is a high fired stoneware tile with a dependable glaze.

Flooring presents other challenges, and opportunities. Clearly floor tiles must be durable so high fire stoneware is the best choice. Any kind of relief is not advised as uneven surfaces can be difficult to walk on, especially for the aged. An additional consideration with flooring tiles is slickness. A glossy glaze on a floor is not recommended. A heavily textured glaze or a matte glaze is best.

Outdoor use in cold climates demands high fired tiles and dependable glazes, especially if on horizontal surfaces. Low fire and even porous tiles can be used outdoors in cold climates if on or in a vertical surface. But you are still better off with a frost proof tile in cold climates.

Finally, there is the issue of a ceramic tile being food-safe. Many decorative ceramic art tiles are used as serving trays for a variety of hot and cold foods and it is important that these not leach out chemicals. Even a glaze said to be food-safe often is not. John Hesselberth and Ron Roy, in their book, Mastering Cone 6 Glazes demonstrate this by placing a lemon wedge on a ‘food-safe’ glazed piece of ceramics. Within hours the glaze is discolored from leaching out of the chemicals.

Unfortunately, the food-safeness of a glazed or handpainted ceramic tile is difficult to determine unless you can speak with the maker because of the fact that many glazes said to be food-safe are not. Which is one of the great advantages of handmade tiles – the ceramic artist can tell you if it is food-safe. Here at Handmade Ceramics and Fine Art Studios we make our own glazes based on the recipes tried and tested. If you can’t find out whether your ceramic art tile is OK with food you’re better off not using it for that purpose. Use it as a ceramic wall tile or if it is durable and mostly flat, for a trivet.

His Most Famous Painting (Romans in the Decadence of the Empire) – Thomas Couture

French artiste Thomas Couture (1815-1879) was a popular ‘History’ & ‘Classical’ painter of ‘Realist’ flavor, portraitist, and the teacher of the nineteenth century. ‘History Painting,’ considered the ‘grand genre’ for a long time, dates back to the ‘Renaissance’ era. Couture’s most famous painting “Romans in the Decadence of the Empire” belonged to this style of art. Apart from illustrating the historical events of the recent past, ‘History Painting’ pertains to the technique of capturing the scenes from Christian History, Classical History, and mythology. The paintings belonging to the historical genre are often based on religious, allegorical, or literary subjects, and usually carry a moral or an intellectual interpretation of life. Some of the most iconographic historical events have been depicted in these paintings. In addition, sometimes, artists took great liberties with the historical facts by creating even those events on canvas, which had not ever actually occurred.

Thomas Couture painted his most famous painting “Romans in the Decadence of the Empire” in the year 1847. This splendid work portrays on a monumental canvas, an orgy, which was interpreted as sarcasm or satire on the debauched regime of the July Monarchy under the French King Louis Philippe, during 1830 to 1848. “Romans in the Decadence of the Empire” conveys the moral corruption synonymous to the then Roman society. The scene takes place in an enormous hall, surrounded by tall marble pillars and beautiful statues. In the center of the hall, is a platform on which there are semi-naked men and women lying everywhere, completely engrossed in the frenzy of physical pleasure. They all seem inebriated or drunk, and a few of them are even shown dancing under the effect of intoxication. Outside, the clear blue sky shines bright, offering a striking contrast to the drunken madness inside the palace. Right in the front of the platform, a couple of well-sculpted urns are shown. Thomas’ respect and love for classical culture comes alive with his pulchritudinous display of Roman sculptures and architecture in “Romans in the Decadence of the Empire.”

The Roman Empire and civilization had an indelible influence on the cultures of almost all European nations. While under ‘Neoclassicism,’ the Roman architecture, art, and lifestyles were all borrowed by these nations, even the Roman decadence did not go unnoticed on that front. It brought about a time when people developed greater interest in the decline of the Roman Empire than in its grandeur. Thomas Couture also tried to express his version of social criticism through “Romans in the Decadence of the Empire,” which effectively criticized his contemporary French society. The painting, which won immense appreciation and accolades, now adorns the walls of Musée d’Orsay, Paris, France.

Playing Smart Saves Strokes

For weekend golfers, playing smart can save strokes and keep your golf handicap from ballooning. But playing smart isn’t always the first thing on your mind when in trouble. Many golfers try “miracle shots” to salvage the situation when in trouble. Often, it’s a shot they’ve never hit before. Save miracle shots for when you must try one. The rest of the time, play smart. It may not seem like the best strategy, but it can save you strokes later on.

In my golf lessons I emphasize three situations when playing smart works well. Below I describe these situations and provide golf tips on how to play them.

Ball In High Grass

When we say high grass, we mean high grass-the no man’s land of rough. You know the kind-where you could be standing over the ball and not know it. The problem with this rough is that it’s much thicker than regular rough. It’s so thick it can catch your club and turn the hosel before the clubface is even close to the ball. Thus, it may take multiple shots to get out. It’s that thick.

The only remedy for this lie is to take your wedge and attack the ball with a hard descending blow. But first you need to adjust your set up using these golf tips: Use an open stance but close the clubface a bit. Next, take a firm grip, aim just behind the ball, and swing down hard. These adjustments make it easier for the clubface to cut through the grass. Make sure, you also swing through-because if your club gets stuck, the ball will, too.

Ball In Bunker

While a ball buried deep in the sand requires a shot like the one described above, a regular lie in the sand-one where the ball is sitting on top of the sand-needs just the opposite approach. The goal here is to “shave” the ball out, not shovel it. Here, you need to take a smooth controlled swing with an open stance and clubface. Aim to make contact two inches behind the ball. It will fly out softly with minimal sand, saving you strokes and landing the ball close to the pin.

Playing The Punch Shot

The punch shot is a third play smart situation. The object of the punch shot is to keep the ball low, straight, and precise. It makes for a great approach shot in the wind. But it also makes for a great shot to salvage par from the trees. Many players use a longer iron to make this shot, but a hybrid works just as well, as I’ve mentioned in my golf tips newsletter. Here’s how to make a punch shot work for you: Play the ball just back of the middle of your stance, which takes some loft off your club and enables the ball to fly lower with backspin. Take a three-quarter swing, mostly with your arms, and keep your wrists firm and hands quiet on the downswing. Make a smooth controlled swing, with out decelerating or hurrying through the shot, and keep your follow through short and low. The punch shot is a great weapon to have when in trouble or when playing in a stiff wind.

These three common “play smart” situations are often discussed in golf instruction session and golf articles. There are more not so common play smart shots. Look for them and then store them in your mind so you’ll remember them. In these situations, forget the “miracle shot” you’ve never hit before unless you’ve no other choice. Playing smart helps keep a lid on scores and stops golf handicaps from ballooning.

Remove My Wrinkles, Lift My Sagging Skin, Tighten My Eyelids With No Surgery! How?

The fountain of youth is just a phone call away…..

I have heard from women that growing old they will gracefully do. It reminds me when people say beauty is skin deep. Some truth be told, all human beings would feel incredible if they were proud of their youthful appearance as they age gracefully. It does take maintenance.

Like a loving respectful child, a fine tuned automobile or anything we value, must be nurtured and protected from the environment and other influences that rapidly destroy the beauty of what we cherish. A level of commitment and consistency is needed to achieve a healthy balance in all we do. This is certainly the case in preventing the body, mind and our appearance from prematurely aging. Virtually at any age the body can look and feel incredible if you’re willing to put in the effort.

Avoiding the sun, maintaining a healthy weight and choosing less toxic food can protect your body, mind and appearance indefinitely. Some and unfortunately many have had some bad habits in the past and have neglected taking care of themselves for many years. With the technology available today you can reverse and correct much of the damage you have done to help your skin look better than ever.

Microdermabrasion, Laser Skin Resurfacing and IPL Laser treatments will correct and remove brown spots, redness, scars and wrinkles but the treatments that will lift and tighten the skin are Botox Cosmetics, Radiesse and other facial fillers.

Why put poison in your body? Doesn’t that contradict health? Botox is a protein, used for over twenty years, to help many medical conditions. Recently Botox has been approved to safely and effectively remove forehead wrinkles, frown lines, crows feet, sagging eyelids and droopy eyebrows with no downtime at a fraction of the cost of surgery. Radiesse is calcium based facial filler that lifts the face by filling in the upper check area and the lines around the mouth in minutes and last for over a year. Jevederm, Restylane, and Pearlane are Hyaluronic acid. These are natural, safe fillers, which are softer than Radiesse and often preferred for use in lifting and filling in the lip area and under the eyes.

Wrinkle removal is almost immediate with these treatments and within days the face appears tight, with a youthful fullness.

Women and men are seeking Botox and fillers now more than ever. It is never too late to start a healthy lifestyle, protect your face from the sun and make changes toward a more healthy diet.

The glory of this process is that it’s very quick and with little discomfort. The results of Radiesse and other fillers is immediate. Botox takes effect within 24 to 48 hours and the results are literally eye opening. As with all cosmetic procedures these injections are technique dependent. A highly trained and skilled medical professional must be administering these products. Mostly all treatments take less than 15 minutes and the process is undetectable. The results, however are obvious but without downtime or scars. No one will understand how you were able to look ten years younger over the weekend.

4 Reasons You Should Throw Away Your Deodorant And Toothpaste!

Got stinky pits and breath? Reaching for your chemical laden antiperspirant and toothpaste to fix these problems? Now, I’m like the next gal, I don’t want to be stuck in the elevator with the person who stinks, or work beside the guy with chronic BO and bad breath, but mainstream deodorants and toothpastes are darn right dangerous to your health.

1. Say No To Aluminum!

Aluminum is what helps block the pores in your pits and stops you from sweating. Aluminum makes up anywhere from 8%-25% of most deodorants. There is evidence-linking aluminum to Alzheimer’s. The FDA confirms that small amounts are absorbed through your skin (armpits) so those people with kidney problems can have difficulties getting rid of the aluminum in their kidneys.

2. Say No to Aerosols!

Aerosol and antiperspirant deodorants are both very heavy in petrochemicals such as butane and lung-irrating volatile organic compounds. TRUE: In 2010 AXE Body Spray were fined $1.3 million dollars for selling sprays that failed to meet California’s air quality standards.

3. Say No To Synthetic Fragrance!

I know it covers up the stink, but they are loaded with hormone-disrupting phthalates and a whole host of other questionable chemicals. I put some natural deodorants to the test on hot summer bike riding days. I want natural but I also want it to work! Here are a few I tested: Tom’s of Maine – long-lasting protection, not true. Didn’t last 10 minutes. Jason: is ‘natural’ but still full of chemicals and didn’t even last half of my bike ride. Avalon: it worked fairly well with a nice minty scent, but left yellowish stains on my clothes. Crystal (the hard little crystal ball): You need to wet the ball first, and rub it on your pits a least 20 strokes per pit. It has no odor or goopy texture. But if you drop the crystal it will crack.

Now, what about those pearly whites? This product doesn’t just go on our bodies it goes into our mouths! It’s like mouth-to-mouth with poisonous products. There is so much conflicting information on fluoride and whether or not it is good for your teeth or something you should be avoiding at all costs, and to be completely truthful, I’m kind of torn. As far as fluoride in your water goes don’t’ do it! Ingesting fluoride is bad for your body, but on your teeth it appears to have some benefits.

4. What About Antibacterial Toothpaste?

Everyone is so anti bacteria these days but we need a balance of bacteria in our bodies and our mouths have 800 different kinds! You do want to kill the bad bacteria in your mouth but you don’t want to wipe out the good ones too. Many toothpaste companies put tricloscan in their pastes to fight the bacteria’s that exist in all of us, but is this really necessary? Colgate is good, hands down at fighting bacteria but when a Swedish study found that brushing with toothpaste with triclosum/polymer and an expensive electric toothbrush for 3 years it “failed to prove additional benefits” when compared to a manual toothbrush with regular fluoridated toothpaste.

You do want to kill the bad bacteria though because bad bacteria in your mouth can lead to a whole host of problems, not just bad breath and cavities, but heart disease and other illness too.

Step Out From the Revolving Door of Price Wars

Today’s manufacturers are on a constant search for savings. While most manufacturers quickly turn to material costs as a primary means of lowering their price, these short term accommodations are not always sustainable. The constant struggle to protect or win back business seems like a revolving door of competition. The introduction of PRODEC® Plate has become one solution for tangible cost reduction that is maintainable in the long run.

Produced exclusively by Outokumpu, PRODEC® Plate, which stands for production economy, is a premium quality of stainless steel designed for enhanced machinability and processed to provide uniform consistency of properties from plate to plate and heat to heat.

This unique version of austenitic stainless steel has provided significant manufacturing benefits for its customers. Meeting all the requirements of ASTM and ASME specifications, Outokumpu product literature states that PRODEC® grades maintain the same yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, hardness, and toughness as conventionally produced plate, while also providing corrosion resistance as good or better than conventional stainless steel.

Advanced ladle metallurgy allow for fine adjustments of the composition, amount, size, shape and distribution of the nonmetallic inclusions normally occurring within standard stainless steel. The company also states that the enhanced chemistry and treatment methods enable PRODEC® Plate to maintain tighter dimensional tolerances and produces a superior surface finish.

Compared with conventionally produced stainless steel, PRODEC® machinable stainless steel also offers manufacturing benefits through faster machining, allowing higher speeds and feeds of at least 25% over standard stainless steel. Consistent properties throughout each plate reduce wear and extend the life of carbide tooling.

PRODEC® 304P/304LP is a versatile, general purpose stainless steel with good resistance to atmospheric corrosion, to many organic and inorganic chemicals, and to foods and beverages. It has also been used in vacuum processing equipment and specialized instruments where high integrity is essential. PRODEC® 316/316L provides improved resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in environments containing chlorides and other halides.

PRODEC® Plate is designed to cut more economically and with significantly better straightness and final surface quality. Both the edge quality produced and shape tolerance of PRODEC® Plate parts that are precision sawed are above average and maintain standard tolerance of +.060-.000 or better. The outcome equals considerably longer tool life, increased productivity, better chip breaking, better dimensional tolerances, superior machined surface quality, reduced scrap losses, and consistent performance which translates to a reliable production schedule.

By including PRODEC® Plate in their portfolio, manufacturers are filling a niche of unique performance that may yield long-term rewards.
