Things to Avoid After Wisdom Teeth Extraction

If possible, the patient should not rinse his mouth for twenty four hours following wisdom teeth extraction or any other extraction.

For the following 7 to 10 days after the patient should rinse the   socket  clean with warm salty water to remove food from the  socket  after every meal (a teaspoon of table salt in a cup of warm water).

The patient should rinse the  sockets  with good quality mouth wash morning and night for a week to 10 days. The mouth wash may stain the teeth if used excessively. The staining will come off but a dentist will be required to achieve this, once the mouth has healed. The remaining teeth should be brushed as normal, but the affected  socket  should be avoided.

As soon as it is comfortable to do so, the patient should gently brush the wound while brushing your teeth. This will keep the wound clean and will help stitches to dissolve. The  socket  usually takes 3-4 weeks to close over. It is unlikely that the patient will develop an infection after the first week but he will be picking food out for this time.

Avoid eating and hot liquid for about 3 hours or as long as the face is numb. A soft diet is advisable after this but the patient can eat what he can tolerate. Excessive chewing or hot liquids may cause more bleeding, so it is best to go gently.

The patient should avoid smoking for at least four days. Smoking delays all wound healing and increases the risk of infection. The more the patient smokes, the more likely he will be lightly to develop an infection. If the patient does develop an infection after wisdom teeth extraction, it will be quiet painful and take a week or more to resolve.

The patient is strongly advised not to drink alcohol, if he has received sedation. Even if he has not been sedated, alcohol is best avoided on the day of surgery as it may encourage bleeding.

Dry  Socket

A dry  socket  is a recognised complication following any dental extraction including the extraction of wisdom teeth. In occurs after approximately 4 per cent of all dental extractions.

A dry  socket  is more common after having wisdom teeth extraction on the lower jaw, after difficult extractions, in females and in patients taking the oral contraceptive.

The cause is unknown. The symptoms vary from mild to intense pain which may come on immediately after the dental extraction or approximately 3 days later and last between 10 and 14 days. On rare occasions the symptoms may last much longer.

The pain can be extreme and will not relieved by painkillers. The pain can be constant and may keep you awake at night. Antibiotics will make no difference. Painkillers are generally ineffective. There is no effective treatment which a dentist can offer. It is best not to disturb the  socket  in the search for a cure as this can aggravate the condition.

Making a Strong Chess Opening

Chess games can be started in any number of ways, but one of the most popular would be the Ruy Lopez  opening . Also known as the Spanish  opening , this type of game gives White an early chance to capture one of the Knights from Black, albeit putting a Bishop into potential jeopardy. The name of this move comes from the 16th Century priese Ruy Lopez de Segura, who made a comprehensive study of this move, among others, which he then published in a book on Chess, Libro del Ajedrez. While the move was known before Ruy Lopez made his study of it, the move didn’t become popular until the mid 19th Century when it was rediscovered and high value was placed on its potential as an  opening .

This Chess  opening  is still in common practice, being one of the most developed Chess  openings  currently known. The double King’s Pawn  opening  is one of the most common  openings  in master level play and most players have adopted a form of this at some point during their playing careers. This Ruy Lopez move has been extensively developed and theorized, with many different logical opportunities available to both players based on the double King  opening . With many different options available, any game that begins with a Ruy Lopez can give either player a strong strategy to base their game on.

Many other  openings  are possible to any players looking to have a strong game. One of the most important goals in the beginning of a game is for any one player to gain control of the center of the board. This is generally considered to be the strongest position available to anyone playing a chess game and without control of the center of the board, any player will have a very difficult time with winning. Therefore, any strong  opening  will build itself around trying to gain control of the center portions of the board. This is why the Ruy Lopez in particular is so strong; it immediately puts pieces in the very center squares of the board.

Depending on the type of  opening  that is used, the Chess game itself will develop into either an Open Game or a Closed Game. Open games are ones where the center of the board is controlled by one player but is left open, allowing for great mobility of the Bishops and Rooks to move through the space. This allows for quicker game play, giving the chance to strike more often. The game will have the feel of a series of little skirmishes producing a winner of the battle.

A Closed Game, however, is one in which the center of the Chessboard is blocked by pawns remaining there, stationary. This does not allow for easy mobility and will often produce a slower, more painstaking style of play. The Pawns will form a stronger line of defense that is much harder to break through than with an Open game. Players often have more difficult in these slower moving games and, because of this, Open Games are more typically recommended.

Censorship – Society’s Black Hole

Censorship is a prickly issue at the best of times as we all have different ideas about what we should be allowed to access. It seems as though what I describe as “techno censorship” may be entering our society and possibly not for the better.

Guns, both a technological masterpiece and one of the most destructive things we have ever created, definitely requires regulation of some degree. I think many of us want to see as few guns in general society as possible but would hope that anyone who does own a gun is of sound age and mind, is fully versed and trained in the operational aspects so they have minimised their risk to others and themselves. In Australia this strict “censorship” we have in regards to firearms is one where those in power have got it right.

Another technology which most of us use regularly, usually for a large part of our lives, are motor vehicles. There are also strict rules about what we must do to qualify to operate any motor vehicle, then what we must do to maintain that licence as well as what we can and can’t do while “behind the wheel”. Most of us operate our vehicles in safe manner a majority of the time and would agree that the best training is being exposed to all conditions as a learner and probationary licence holder. Thus recent calls by many in power and interest groups to limit passenger numbers and impose night curfews on the more inexperienced drivers seem ludicrous as these restrictions would only hinder their learning. I think these same people forget that most drivers sensibly pass through this phase of their driving experience without real incident and are better for the experience of being exposed to all conditions. Instead of knee-jerk reactions which punish the overwhelming majority and obstruct everybody’s learning, why not improve the way we train new drivers.

With all forms of technology we as a society always want to resort to making ever more rules to “censor” the use of that technology every time an issue arises. However if we paused to think for a minute we would realise that often we already have the appropriate rules in place and are ultimately reducing the enjoyment for the responsible majority of the many wonders we have created.

The Wonderful VRay

VRay is a 3rd party plug-in for 3DS Max by a company called Chaosgroup. It’s function is a high quality rendering engine. The plugin also contains its own materials and lighting system.

The plugin is especially favoured by architects and designers alike due to its very near photorealistic qualities.

Once the plug-in is installed, a typically good setup would be as follows:

As always good organising is a very advantageous start.

To start, one would go to the ‘Rendering’ menu and select render setup. the render dialogue box opens. Scanline is 3DS Max’s default render. To enable the VRay renderer one just scrolls to the bottom, click on the rollout named ‘assign renderer’, click on the button on the right in the production section. The next dialogue box is the Choose Renderer. In here is all the rendering systems that are installed. 3DS Max comes with Mental Ray as standard, which is another excellent rendering engine.

If VRay is correctly installed, it shall be visible, this is what we need to select.

With the render setup box still open, the menu at the top would have changed to the VRay configuration. The menu consists of the ‘common’ tab, ‘VRay’ (which is what we shalllook at shortly) Indirect illumination, setting, render elements.

So, let’s take a look in the VRay tab. as you can see, it does look a little daunting, but what we can do to start would be to click on the VRay Image Sampler (if it isn’t open already), on the Image Sampler roll out menu there are 3 choices: Fixed, adaptive DMC, and adaptive submission. For now, we can just choose adaptive DMC.

Underneath is the Antialiasing filter, this helps with the smoothness or sharpness of the image. In the roll out you will see quite a few different types of filter. For now we can use the VRay sinc filter.

Back to the tabs at the top, the next tab is the Indirect illumination tab. Lets open it up and see. To activate it check the ‘on’ check box. Once checked all the parameters become functional. you will notice two rollout sections to do with light ‘bounces’. In the real world, when a light is lit, especially inside a room, when the light hits the walls, ceiling etc, the light bounces off and hits another surface. This is what Indirect Illumination does. In the secondary bounces section, there are four variations. Proton map, Irradience map, brute force, and the one that we shall use for now, Light Cache. For now the rendering settings are ok. Close the Render Setup dialogue box.

Now for the geometry. In the perspective viewport we need to create a flat plane, to place our objects on. Once the plane is created we can then create a large sphere, enough to cover the area of the plane, and maybe a little larger. at the moment the sphere is a solid object, what it needs is to be hollow. In the modify section (modifier list) scroll down and select the shell modifier. now the sphere is hollow. So now you can ‘go inside’ the sphere, now you should be able to see the plane that you created earlier.

Next we need to give it some colour. press ‘m’ on your keyboard to open the material editor. You will need to select an open material slot (it’s a number of grey balls) just one ball you need per material.

Now a slot is selected there is a button marked ‘standard’ once clicked, the material browser opens up. You need to select ‘VRAYMtl’ this is a standard for VRay. in the diffuse colour there is a small button next to it, open it up. What you need to select now is the ‘bitmap’ 3DS Max comes with some texture maps, what you need is a picture of a scene like a city in the distance.

Once you have the background texture that you like, click and drag the material slot (the ball) to the large sphere you created earlier. Next task is again to select another material slot, standard, VRayMtl, diffuse, bitmap, this time, maybe a wood texture, or maybe concrete, to assign the plane.

OK, what we need to do now is to place something on the plane and inside the sphere. Lets create a teapot, simply go to the create panel and choose teapot (it is one of 3DS Max’s default objects.

Once the teapot is created and inside the sphere, we need to open up the material editor again (‘m’) select another material slot (the ball) click on standard, and once more, VRayMtl. This time on the diffuse section, we just need to change the colour to black. Underneath the diffuse is the reflection section. change the colour from black to white. Whiter the colour, the more reflective the material it is and vice versa for the black. you can of course experiment.

Also change the ‘Subdivs’ to 24. assign this new material to the teapot (click and drag the ball).

Let’s see how our work has turned out. On the main menu click on rendering and select render, or simply press F9 on your keyboard. Once its rendered you should be able to see…. nothing but black. This is because we have no light! Go to the create panel click on the light lightbulb button. in the first rollout choose VRay. This opens the VRay light section. Click on the button VRayLight and place a light inside the sphere and above the teapot. in the settings of the VRay Light, try different numbers on the multiplier, to control the brightness of the light, now press F9 to render your work. You should now see the teapot has now got a chrome finish, and reflects what ever bitmaps you used for the plane and the large sphere.

I hope you found this useful. Thanks for reading.

Advent of Xenon Lighting

Currently, xenon lamps are replacing halogen lamps in the headlights of automobiles. These lamps are more preferred in headlights because these lamps result to lower light reflection thus reducing the glare of oncoming cars. This is so because transition from light to darkness of Xenon light is more defined than Halogen light.

The arc created between two electrodes of tungsten makes the xenon bulb lights up. The xenon bulb contains noble gases, including xenon gas, and does not have any filaments like the incandescent bulbs. Xenon light has an electronic starter and a ballast to start and maintain the arc that will light up the lamp.

Xenon bulbs are used widely for  lighting  large areas such as gyms and courts, warehouses and parking lots, and cinemas. Xenon bulbs are more preferred than incandescent bulbs in that it has a brightness that is close to that of daylight. Although more expensive than other types of lamp, investing in a xenon bulb is worth it and can even save you a lot of money in the long run since it will last you a lifetime. You do not have to change your xenon bulb like you do your incandescent or fluorescent bulbs.

There are two different types of xenon lamps, namely the xenon compact arc lamps and the mercury-xenon lamps. Both lamps however function on the basic concept of xenon  lighting  which utilizes the arc that is created between the two electrodes in the bulb. With xenon short arc lamps, the arc is formed with the electrodes only a few millimeters apart. Further, these lamps contain several atmospheres of xenon gas. Reaching 80% of final output can be done in less than ten minutes for this type of xenon lamp. Xenon compact arc lamps are designed for direct current operation and are done for better stability and longer life. Xenon lamps come in different wattage and can be operated in the vertical or horizontal position. A mercury-xenon lamp is a lamp that contains both small amounts of xenon and mercury. Xenon is used to start and maintain the arc, which creates the light, until mercury has vaporized.

Xenon  lighting  or better known as HID (High Intensity Discharge)  lighting  is a very popular with car enthusiasts as they install this type of light into their cars. Although, xenon  lighting  is more expensive than other forms of  lighting , the quality of light being given by the lamp is very appropriate for night driving. As part of a style statement, xenon  lighting  does not only come in its natural white color but also comes in a variety of colors that can match the car’s theme. Xenon  lighting  comes in golden light, sun light color, different shades of blue and purple.

Having Fun With Kids – Interior Design Plans

One of the most delightful, fun features of the business would be interior designing for children. There is no limit to the imagination and creativity of children that adds the fun part to it. Make sure you involve children when you plan interiors for them and if you are courageous enough, do involve them in the implementation also.

A nice starting theme or point when we plan interior design for children is to start with their favorite toy or activity or also the character children like. Keep in mind that many of the themes or items that children like keep changing with time and hence taking these favorite and interests as an advantage with the accessories that are easy enough to change going further as children’s needs and interests also change. If children have much interest in a particular activity and are very eager about it, then they might have a specific request to make the design look very special for them and you can do this as long as the parents are also very eager as their children. Caution on the problems or difficulties they would face whenever they plan to remodel the room anytime in the future either it might be with respect to the space or to accommodate any changing interests of the children.

While selecting the color schemes or plans, keep in mind that interior designs for kids give you distinct opportunities for using bright and bold colors that are usually not the ideal for adult environment. In the similar lines, specific places of a room can be ergonomic enough to use as points that can be focused which can’t be the case with the adult’s surroundings. For instance a toy box or a chalkboard would be more attentive for children rather than a seating or table arrangement.

Another feature of the interior design that differs from adult ones while planning for children is to consider the accessories or items that accentuate and highlight the main aspects. Collectibles and toys are wonderful pieces that can be used as a part of the application. Most of the times, toys which are put on the display for the purpose of decoration are the ones that a child would have more fun by playing with them than have them for display. This dilemma can be solved by using unused and old toys that don’t attract the child interests anymore or duplicate the toys and allow them to touch one set and the other set in the display only for looking. Many a times the collectibles kept in children’s room might not be of much importance to them than they are to the adults so, ensure that any item you place in children’s room are of not much fiscal importance or have any sentimental relations.

Interior design treatment for your children’s room can be achieved by buying the bed treatments among the various choices you have that would complement to the themes and designs used in the room layout creation and also fit with the accessories or items chosen. Most of the bed treatments now come with an already packaged stuff with a comforter, detailed sheets, window coverings and dust ruffle. All these items together make the room best of it in all fashions and are choices in interior designing for children that are easily obtainable for everyone who wish to make a change.

Remember that whenever you plan an interior design for a child, he changes opinions, attitudes and behaviors once in three years. Changes that are not temporary cannot be considered. Cost effective and practical ones are the correct. A good tip while buying furniture tip for your children would be to buy something priced reasonably and is sound and that shouldn’t break the bank. Children are much harder on the furniture than on the clothes. Having fun is another key factor to be considered while designing interior for children.

The Downside of Regular Bamboo Flooring

Bamboo flooring has been touted as one of the best flooring options available. It is affordable, a great option for saving the environment, harder than other hardwood floorings, and as aesthetic as they come. All of these have some truth to them, but unfortunately, they is also another side to the coin.

Bamboo is considered environmentally friendly because it is a renewable resource. It grows to maturity nearly 10 times faster than regular hardwood, and does not have to be replanted. Once the bamboo is harvested, it is available for harvest again in seven years. This is all great, but the downside to bamboo flooring is that it is not always processed in an environmentally sound way. Formaldehyde is nearly always used for the binding, and formaldehyde is extremely bad for the environment. Also, hardwood forests are often being REPLACED by bamboo, which is not good either. We will still run out of forests, and bamboo cannot be the only replacement.

This type of flooring is also usually produced in China. Workers are often paid poorly and have to work under undesirable conditions. The cheap prices we pay for bamboo flooring are coming at a cost to these workers.

Regular bamboo flooring is actually fairly soft, and can dent and scratch fairly easily. To get a truly solid, durable floor, it is much better to purchase strand woven bamboo. It is one of the most durable flooring options available, and actually looks better than regular bamboo. It is more expensive, but in the end, it is worth it.

Before choosing what floor you would like to install, it is important to look at both the pros and cons of bamboo flooring. It can be a great option, but it is recommended you find a reliable dealer, who uses flooring produced in an environmentally sustainable way.

Avent Isis Manual Breast Pump – A Helpful Guide

Breast milk is considered to be the best option for babies who are below the age of 6 months but most mothers have to work and this can make it difficult to breastfeed. The best option is to use a breast pump that ensures your baby gets the required nutrients even when you are away from home. The Avent Isis Manual pump has a wonderful design and this has revolutionized how new mothers express milk. It offers reliable suction and imitates a baby’s sucking movements to make it easier for your breasts to produce milk. The flow of milk using this product is gentle, silent and comfortable.

It is quite easy to assemble the Avent Isis Manual pump and you can use it discreetly whether you are traveling or in the office. All the parts that are contained in the pump can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

It is important to make sure you clean the Avent Isis Manual breast pump each time before and after you use it. Separate the various parts on the pump and then place them in the dishwasher. You can also wash them in some soap and water.

The Avent Isis Manual breast pump offers you a safe way to express your milk without requiring a pump that runs on batteries. It comes with a silicone cushion that has some massaging techniques that imitate a baby’s sucking action. The silicone is disposable to make sure it is kept clean. Apart from the pump, you also get a sealing disc, two valves, travel cover and spare diaphragm. The pump also has a bottle nipple therefore you can feed your baby using the same bottle you express the milk into.

There is a handle on this pump that helps you to control the suction action to a level that you are comfortable with. It is also light in weight therefore you can easily carry it around.

To use the Avent Isis Manual breast pump, it is better to wait for about four weeks after giving birth to make sure your milk supply is well established. The best thing about this Avent Isis Manual breast pump is that is quite easy to use and it almost feels natural. This is because of the sucking action and massages that imitate what your baby does when feeding.

To use the pump, you will have to place the funnel on your breast after sanitizing it and then push down its handle to initiate the suction action.

An Explanation of Lean Manufacturing

Lean manufacturing is all about cutting down on waste while maintaining and improving customer value. A customer defines the value of any given product or service by deciding how much they would willingly pay for it. Lean manufacturing strives to keep up value but with less work to achieve it. This means more value for customers with fewer resources’ being used.

It’s all about the flow

One of the main enemies of manufacturing or even any type of business is waste. Waste in all forms. Whether that be a wasting of time, energy, materials or even space. The idea of lean manufacturing is to increase the efficiency of the flow in all areas and in all processes, to make the journey smooth, quick and even.

Change minds not just tools

Many industry leaders heavily believe that to ensure successful and continued lean manufacturing there needs to be a change not only in tooling and equipment but also in the culture of a business or plant. Staff need to fully embrace the principles and make them part of their everyday working lives. This idea of setting a culture comes from the Japanese who really are the main instigators of lean manufacturing .

Why do we need it?

It is a trait of human nature to want to improve efficiency and reduce waste. It has been a problem long pondered by great thinkers, especially when the industrial revolution got in to full swing. Improving efficiency and reducing waste will obviously save costs for the organisation. These savings could be used to spend on product development or improvements which in turn will benefit the consumer. A lot of time can also be saved which could be used in developing customer relationships, staff training or even doing administration. Henry Ford (Ford Cars) was a leader in waste reduction. He was the man who put the first assembly line together and really moved mass production forward. It was then Toyota, another car manufacturer, who spurred things on even further. They developed processes that looked at every individual stage of manufacturing and found ways to improve it on every level.

It’s transferable.

Over the years many have thought that lean manufacturing was just for, as the name would suggest, manufacturers. This is absolutely not the case. Many public sectors and customer service/call centres are beginning to take the principles of efficiency and waste reduction on board. That’s the great thing about Lean, it’s transferable from industry to industry.

How to Mount a Plasma LCD TV on the Wall

So your considering getting yourself a flat screen (or you already have) and now want to explore the benefits to mounting it to your wall. All the terminology and acronyms may be overwhelming at first but I will do my best to explain what you need to know. If you already own a flat screen you can skip over Step 1.

Step 1: Selecting your type of screen, LCD or Plasma.

It is safe to say your interested in a high definition television (HDTV). If your looking for a traditional cathode ray tube (CRT) television you must look elsewhere, they are a dying breed and will not be covered in this article. HDTV’s come in variety of types, the major players being LCD’s, plasmas, rear projections and front projections. LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display, it is not important to understand what that is, just know it is the same technology that is behind the flat screen computer monitors you see everywhere. The focus of this article will be on LCD’s and plasmas as they are considered flat panels and can be easily mounted to the wall through commonly available mounts.

Let me squash a common misconception right now. LCD technology has come a long way and now produces a picture that is very similar to plasma screens. For the purposes of mounting I will tell you a few of the differences between LCD and plasma. LCD televisions are almost always going to be lighter for their respective size than plasma screens. This makes mounting a little easier and less expensive, as you might not need a mount that is rated for higher weight capacities. You might not need to reinforce the mounts insertion point into your wall either. LCD’s are also easier to transport in the event of a move, plasma screens are notorious for cracking/crushing under their own weight when not transported properly.

For those of you that are conscious of “going green” or saving money on your electrical bill, consider LCD’s as they consume much less power per respective size than plasma screens. There are many other differences in specifications and performance between LCD and plasma but none that are applicable to mounting. The average consumer/enthusiast would not be able to tell the difference, personally I gravitate towards LCD screens. Hopefully now you have an idea of which television type you will be going with and can proceed to step two.

Step 2: Selecting your screen size.

One of the most commonly asked questions is what size TV to get. Selecting the proper TV size is very important and should not be overlooked. Whenever talking about the screen size remember televisions are measured diagonally (bottom left corner to upper right corner). This assumption should always be made when measuring unless specifically stated otherwise. The biggest thing to consider is how far the majority of viewers will be from the screen. Keep in mind that after mounting your television the majority of screens will sit about 3 inches off the wall. Measure how far your seating is from the wall you plan to mount your screen to. Add 3 inches to your estimate to take into account the mount which will sit between the wall and your screen. The general rule for HDTV’s is the viewer wants to be approximately 1.5 – 3 times the distance in TV size (inches) from the screen. Translation: If your television is 36 the viewer should be sitting at a minimum of 54 inches from the screen and at a maximum of 108 inches. You do not want to be too close to a HDTV screen as they are designed to be viewed from certain distances. Sitting too close will make you question your HDTV picture quality and also lead to some serious eye strain. If you sit too far from your screen your eyes cannot appreciate the level of detail as they will not be able to resolve the full resolution of the screen. Sitting too far will also sacrifice the “immersion” feeling your HDTV screen is meant to provide. I highly suggest sitting somewhere in the middle of the recommended viewing range. This should be ample sizing information for any home video/audio enthusiast.

Step 3: How to select the proper TV mount? All things considered.

Selecting the proper TV mount is not difficult at all. There are a few different styles out there to choose from. The first type of mount I will discuss are the Low Profile TV Mounts, they are also referred to as flat mounts or flush mounts. These mounts have no range of motion and hold your television screen about 1 inch from the wall. These are perfect for people that are looking for a very low profile and sleek look for their HDTV screen. These mounts will keep your television flush to wall and minimize wasted space in tight areas or small rooms. It is important to note, with Low Profile TV Mounts, you will most likely need to remove the TV from the mount to attach/detach cables.

The next type of mount is the Tilt TV Mount. Tilt mounts do exactly what the name implies, they allow the screen to pitch downward for situations where you need the screen mounted higher than viewing level on the wall. Examples of when these mounts come in handy are retail stores, board rooms or bedrooms for when you want a nice viewing angle while lying down. Different models have varied ranges of motion, the average mount provides 15 to 20 degrees of tilt, usually more than enough to meet people’s needs. Mounts with further tilt are available, just be sure to check the specifications before buying.

The third and final mount to be discussed is the Swivel TV Mount, also referred to as articulating mounts or cantilever mounts. Swivel mounts have the ability to extend the TV away from the wall and rotate the screen in either direction. The typical swivel mount can allow the TV to sit anywhere from 5 to 20 inches from wall and rotate approximately 60 degrees in either direction. Most swivel mounts also allow for around 15 – 20 degrees of tilt much like a Tilt Mount. I highly recommend Swivel Mounts for those who want the most flexibility and customization of optimal viewing angles. They are perfect for those who require maximum adjustability of their Flat Screen TV. Tilt and Swivel Mounts are also ideal for those constantly connecting different wires to the TV as they allow some work room behind the screen.

Now that you have a style of mount in mind you need to consider the size screen. When purchasing a mount you will notice they can accommodate a range of TV sizes. How is this so? Most mountable HDTV’s conform to agreed specifications set by the Video Electronics Standards Association or more commonly known as VESA. VESA refers mostly to the hole mounting pattern on the TV and mount. Most mounts and TV’s will conform to this standard but be sure to double check before purchasing. What if you already purchased a television that is not VESA compatible? No problem! There are many commercially available adapter plates which allow you to mount your television to VESA compatible mounts. What does this all mean you ask? Basically, TV’s of many sizes will have the same hole configuration on the rear of the screen to make finding and installing a mount as painless as possible.

The weight of your TV is also important. The weight of your screen can most commonly be found in the instruction manual or on the box, sometimes it can also be found on the rear of the screen. If all else fails it should be listed on the manufacturers website. When browsing for mounts they will usually give you a maximum weight they can safely accommodate. Do not EVER exceed the maximum recommended weight! Worst case scenario your screen rips out of the wall and falls to the floor leaving you with a broken TV and holes in your wall. If your TV is within 20 pounds of the maximum weight I always recommend going with a beefier mount with a higher weight rating. The maximum weight guidelines do not take into account the weight of the wires plugged into the back of the TV screen. The weight or tension of the wires is not negligible! Most people have anywhere from 2 to 14 wires plugged into the back of your screen, this additional load adds up. Do not forget people may be tempted to touch or lean on the screen, you even exert force when tilting/swiveling it to a new position. If your within 20 pounds of the maximum weight consider getting the beefier mount, the extra few bucks spent here may save you hundreds in the long run.

Step 4: Installing the TV mount.

This article is only to be used as a general guide, always follow supplied instructions. When deciding how high to mount your TV, the best viewing angle is always straight on (eye level). If you were to draw a horizontal line across the middle of your TV (don’t actually draw a line on your screen), this line should correspond to the eye level of your viewers. In the case of Tilt Mounts, you can mount the screen even higher and tilt the screen to compensate for the height. The first step should be to identify a section of wall suitable for the mount. I never recommend installing TV mounts into drywall alone, regardless of the weight! Drywall cannot support the weight of your screen and will easily break causing your set to fall to the floor. Your best bet is to identify a stud (wooden beam) behind the drywall that you can screw into. Mounts can also be installed into brick and concrete, these installs are rather simple as you do not need to worry about finding studs, the brick/concrete is sturdy enough on its own to hold the weight. Always make sure your mounting hardware penetrates into the stud. If your home/office makes use of metal framework instead of wooden studs, I recommend commonly available toggle bolts. They can be found at a local hardware store or online. Environmental factors should be considered as well. There has been a recent trend to hanging flatscreens above the fireplace. While this looks nice, the temperature fluctuations have shown to decrease TV performance and even to damage the screen. It can be done however, but first verify the wall/chimney above the fireplace does not have temperature fluctuations of more than 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Trace amounts of smoke can also lead to discoloration over time. The same thing goes for baseboard heat and radiators. Make sure the TV is far enough away that it is not subject to extreme temperature fluctuations.

The final step before drilling is to pencil the mounting holes on the wall. You want to make absolutely sure they are level. You can use a wall level or simply measure up from the floor and make sure the distances are equal. Take the time to do the measurements now, an un-level installation will result in a crooked TV, no good! This can be very difficult to correct and detrimental to your dry wall as you will have to re-screw. Just as dad always said, “measure twice, drill once.” If you are not “hardware/construction” savvy or familiar with the construction of your home, you should consider investing in a stud finder. Most Stud finders will identify metal and wood beams you can anchor into, the one I featured will also indicate the presence of live electrical wiring. Never drill into a wall if you are unsure whether there is live electrical wiring or plumbing behind it! If you are unsure, confused or not very confident at this point I suggest you spend the money on a professional installation. They can be done rather cheaply and most companies do very good work. For inexperienced people, the cost of the drill, wall level and various other tools may be more expensive than a professional installation. If I convinced you on a professional installer I can recommend one of the best. ArmorMount provides an excellent on-site installation service. I have used them myself and have nothing but great things to say. Visit ArmorMount’s website directly for information regarding ArmorMount’s installation service, I provided a link below.

Step 5: Where can I buy a TV mount?

There a many websites to choose from. Having done a multitude of installations I can personally recommend one website that is truly great. offers all three mounts I spoke about earlier. They can supply mounts for almost every size, weight and brand of television. What I really like about this company is their Mount Finder utility. On the main screen of the website you simply enter your TV brand and the screen size, the website instantaneously displays the different style mounts you can choose from. They supply all the hardware (nuts and bolts) you will need for the installation. Their install kits come ready to accommodate drywall, brick and concrete installations. You also have the option of adding their professional installation service I mentioned earlier (highly recommended for the rookie handyman). I also find their pricing to be highly competitive, they consistently provide the lowest prices and sell quality products. They also advertise free shipping and a 6ft HDMI cable with every purchase. If you had the pleasure of shopping for HDMI cables recently you will agree they are very expensive and what I consider to be the most overpriced item of the home entertainment setup. HDMI cables are rather convenient however, they carry both HDTV video and digital sound up to 1080P. They potentially eliminate up to five separate cables (3 Component Video / 2 RCA Audio). ArmorMount also has friendly customer service representatives which I found to be very informative and quite pleasant.

I hope you found this guide informative. Remember to always consult a professional if you are unsure regarding an installation and always refer to your instructions/specifications for the final say.

Awnings are essential to homes since they will add design for homes as well as protection from direct sunlight. But aside from regular fabric awnings, aluminum patio awnings are also available to the market as additional sun shade option for consumers.

Instead of using fabrics, these awnings use insulated aluminum material as the main shade. Just like the fabric awning, this type of awning is also has its own benefits that you can enjoy.

Aluminum is a sturdy material will stay in place even with stronger winds. The aluminum sheet is screwed on beams and braces so they will remain stationary no matte what the weather condition is.

4. Design contribution. Using aluminum patio awnings for your home will give you not just a regular detachable awning. This will look like an extension of your roof and can be installed with different attachments or accessories. For example, these awnings can have slots or beams for your ceiling fan or skylight installation. This will help you achieve additional comfort specially in regulating the temperature. At the same time, adding these accessories will also give you more designs that will make your home look beautiful than before.

5. Size customization. You can install awnings of your preferred size and design on your patio. Look for makers that can measure and install them for you to get the best value and style that you want to achieve.

These are just several of aluminum awnings’ benefits for your home. Be sure to find a reliable manufacturer where you can order your aluminum patio awnings so you will not waste your investments in making your house beautiful.

Ecostyle – Summer Feeling in Your House

In this age of high technology and smart devices sometimes you want to smell a real tree, to feel the rough surface of wattled mat under the feet, enjoy the soft touch of linen or cotton cloth. Ecoslyle (or Naturel in French) let you to combine noble simplicity with modern achievements of civilization in your house.

Today Ecostyle is the one of the most popular directions in the world design, which manifests itself as not only the pursuit of fashion, but also health care and domestic comfort of man.

And if you are tired of the cold metal, glass and plastic, which dominate in modern office buildings then try to create warm and cozy atmosphere in your home with the help of ecological style. It is not necessary to draw the whole apartment in this style but you can stay on the kitchen or bedroom, for example. For those who feel difficulty deciding global changes in their homes we recommend starting with small things and details of the interior.

Handmade Accessories

One of the important nuances of Eco style are the things made by hand. Nowadays the direction of Handmade is successfully embodied in the work of designers all around the world. Things labeled “Handmade” traditionally valued more highly.

Homemade candles that you can make using fruit or a nut shell would look original and very nice. For those who prefer easy and quick way we suggest to take some citrus fruits then cut them in half and paste each half fruit on a thin candle. This table decoration will create special color and feeling of warmth.

If you want your “fruit candlestick” to be more durable, remove all fruit pulp from the halves, insert the wick and fill the deepening with a wax, warmed in a water bath. Once the wax hardens you will get a pretty candle of your own making!

Dishes and utensils

Choosing the dishes we also follow the golden rule of environmental style – soft monotonous tone, and noble simplicity. Show preference to rounded shapes ware without sharp corners and cuts. (By the way, psychologists believe that the rounded objects help relax and calm down perfectly.)

It is good to choose dishes without complicated flowery patterns. The ideal would be ornaments in ethnic style placed on the edge of a glass or dish. To create necessary eco-environment we recommend to refuse of fragile crystal objects in favor of ceramics tableware which will give you sense of reliability and durability.

Buy a kitchen and various trowels made of wood – they are not only very economical price, but will look very attractive in your favorite kitchen style Naturel.

And when guests come put on the table cloth from cotton, not paper.

Headhunters – A Strong Bridge Between Employee and Employer

Hiring a recruiter or a headhunter is becoming very popular these days for both employers and employees. Headhunters are appointing employees according to company’s expectation and desire. Plenty of excessive stress and work burden got lesser of the company’s top management after hiring any recruitment service.

These headhunters are equally important for both job seekers and job providers. We’ll discuss their importance for both the categories below:

For Job Seekers:

Although these headhunters mainly work for the employers, but still candidates can also take advantage from them. They don’t even charge money from the candidates. Using recruiters can be considered one of the most important tool for the job search for candidates. Always try to enter your job profile in the recruiter’s database, so whenever recruiters see any job opportunity matching your job profile they will call you.

If you get shortlisted for any job interview, then they will guide you for the interview and will try their best so that you get selected for that job. One most important thing is that a recruiter won’t waste your precious time if they can’t find appropriate job for you. They won’t give you false promises. They will exactly what they can do for you.

For Job Providers:

Recruiters are having big importance for the employers too. Searching for an employee is a very tedious task to perform by employers, so hiring an executive search firm is a very smart way to reduce that recruitment burden. Best thing in hiring a recruiter is that they will mainly focus on quality rather than quantity of candidates.

Fee paid to the recruiters is some percentage of hired employees and this fee is given only if a candidate is successfully placed in the company. It is not always necessary that employer have to hire the candidate who is selected by recruiters. Recruiters can be seen as expand of the HR department of any company. They just shortlist some candidates from many aspirants and from those selected candidates you have to choose best according to your requirements.

It is always recommended that you should liaise with one recruitment agency at a time, so that you can get full attention from them and hence you can avail the best service from them.

So, these were some important tips, which must be kept in mind while searching for any job or while recruiting any employee for your company.

Botswana Government

The Republic of Botswana is a multi-party constitutional democracy. Unlike other African countries, the elections held in the country since it gained its independence in 1966, have been on schedule and have been deemed fair by both the people of Botswana and by international observers. Another feature of the politics in Botswana is that the small white minority and other minority groups in the country can freely participate in the political processes in the country.

The National   Assembly  and the President

In Botswana, the people vote directly for their representatives in the National  Assembly  every five years, which is a 40-seat national legislative body. Currently, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) holds 33 seats; the Botswana National Front (BNF), six seats; and the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) has one seat in the National  Assembly . People appointed by the president hold an additional four seats in the National  Assembly  that are currently held by the BDP. The number of seats in the National  Assembly  can be expanded as representative districts may grow, as shown by a census that is done every 10 years.

The president, who has executive power and is chosen by the National  Assembly  right after national elections are held, heads the government in Botswana. The president?s cabinet is chosen directly from the National  Assembly . The cabinet consists of a vice president, 12 ministers for government agencies and three assistant ministers.

Advisory Council and the Judiciary

There is also a House of Chiefs in the government of Botswana, which comprises the eight subgroups of the country and four other members elected by subchiefs of four of the districts. The House of Chiefs can be compared with the House of Lords in Britain, as bills are passed to them by the National  Assembly  for advisory opinion. However, the House of Chiefs usually presides over traditional courts and other customary bodies.

The High Court of Botswana has general civil and criminal jurisdiction, and the president appoints judges to this court. Judges to the High Court can only be removed after just cause is established after a series of hearings.

Local Governments

Nine district councils and five town councils administer the local government units in Botswana. District commissioners that are appointed by the central government head the districts, and they have executive authority. Elected and nominated district councilors and district development committees assist these district commissioners in their duties.

The government of Botswana is characterized by democratic vibrancy not seen in most of its neighbors. Given the stable political situation and economy of the country as a result of such vibrancy, Botswana is well poised to be a frontrunner in economic development in the region.
