Pheromones – Myth or Fact – Do Pheromones Work?

I did a quick search on the Internet for pheromones.

Pheromones are chemicals released by an organism into its environment enabling it to communicate with other in its own species. There are many different types I soon learned.

Insect Pheromones

Alarm Pheromone.

When an ant is disturbed, it releases a pheromone that can be detected by other ants several inches away. They are attracted by low concentrations of the pheromone and begin to move towards the region of increasing concentration. As they get nearer to their disturbed ant releasing an alarm pheromone, their response changes to one of emergency and alarm. They run about to try to break up the disturbance that caused the alarm.

Without additional amounts of the alarm pheromone are released, it soon wears off. This ensures that once the emergency is over, the ants return to going about their business.
Honey bees also have an alarm pheromone which is why if you get stung near a hive you can expect more bee stains really soon if you are not careful.

Leaving a Trail Pheromone

A trail pheromone is left by hands as they move about once they have found food. This trail joins and tells other ants where to go to find the food. It is continuously renewed as long as the food holds out. When the supply begins to dwindle, The trail Pheromone ceases to exist. The trail pheromone evaporates quickly so other ants stop coming to the site and are not confused by old trails when food is found elsewhere.

Sex Pheromones

Hundreds of pheromones are known with which one sex (usually the female) of an insect species associates its mates. Many of these sex attractants – or their close chemical relatives – are available commercially. They have proven useful weapons against insect pests as they can be used to attract insects to a trap, and to confuse males so that they will not reproduce. There are spiders that produce a moth sex pheromone to help catch their prey. A lot of animals such as dogs will mark their territory by peeing. It is said that the scent of pheromones is one of the territory marks.

Pheromones for humans.

There are Claims such as Gain MASSIVE Sexual Chemistry on Demand!

Instantly Arouse, Attract, Excite, Intrigue and Seduce Gorgeous Women Whenever You Want, Wherever You Want, As Often As You Want … Any Time You Are In The Mood.

If YOU would like to …

o Become a lot more sexually attractive.

o Meet more beautiful women, MUCH more easily.

o Grab the attention and get approached by women far more often.

o Make a fantastic, memorable, compelling impression, every time.

o Increase your self-confidence and masculinity BIG-time … then this may be the most important news you will read all year.

And other claims that are just as outrageous all over the internet. Human beings do not produce large quantities of natural pheromones. It has been noted that women who live together for awhile tend to sync their cycles. It has been written this is to a primer pheromone that women release.

If you're looking for the man or woman of your dreams, unsuspecting pheromones in your body scent are most likely playing a large and very clever role in mate attraction. According to an article in "Psychology Today," how our body odors are perceived as pleasant and sexy to another person is a highly selective process. We usually smell best to a person who genetically based immunity to disease differs most from our own. This could benefit you in the long run, making for stronger, healthier children. I watched a show on The Discovery Channel once about sexuality. They did a contest with a male and 5 females who so had very different types of immune systems. The females with similar immune systems to the male were more offensive in odor than the females with very different immune systems. I would imagine this is due to the different in pheromones. The pheromones though are naturally produced by our human bodies. There has been no research to pheromones produced in a lab.

Dating and Pheromones

What if we were to prey women were a little bit attracted to pheromones produced in a lab. If you go into a club after bathing in these pheromones how is a woman going to be attracted to you? You are emitting a scent that (supposedly) is turning any girl who smells it on. Well, what about the couple that is dancing next to you? In theory, that girl is getting turned on but who's to say she is getting turned on to you? She's getting turned on to the loser she is dancing with (Which this loser did not pay anything for pheromones)

So, assuming that they do work they would only benefit you in one-on-one situations.

The fact is that no research interviews synthetic pheromones. The companies selling products are synthetic pheromones. Do these work? Who knows there are much more reliable ways to gain attraction that a scent. I want someone to be attracted to me for me. Not some pheromone I'm wearing. How is she going to feel when I'm not wearing it. Also what is the effect of a women being exposed to the same pheromone all the time. Would not it trigger her to get used to that scent and therefore no longer react to it ?.

My suggestion is to look for other ways to attract someone that can produce consistent results without relying on some product.

8 Deadly Mistakes That Can Disable Your SSDI Claim and 6 Actions That May Help You Win!

Applying for and obtaining Social Security Disability Benefits (SSDI) can be a frustrating and confusing process. Did you know that almost 70% of claims are denied initially. That is staggering. While there is no surefire way to guarantee you will get SSDI benefits, this article outlines some of the common mistakes Louisiana SSDI claimants make. Also included are a few actions that you can take during the process to help give your social security disability claim the best opportunity for approval.

Deadly Mistake No. 1 – You Take "NO" For An Answer.
The truth is that close to 70% of initial social security disability applications are denied. If you take "NO" or "DENIED" for your answer, you miss out on your right and ability to appeal your denial. Statistically, social security disability claimants do much better on appeals to an administrative law judge (and then the court) than they do to the initial review. You have to be persistent, patient, and willing to be told no, or denied, and then move to the next step.

Action No. 1 – Appeal Every Denial and Reapply If Necessary.
Do not take NO. If you believe that your medical records and functional limits qualify you for disability, do not give up. Keep fighting by appealing the denials until you can no longer appeal. If you miss an appeal, or your limitations worsen after you have reached a final decision on a prior claim, apply again.

Deadly Mistake No. 2 – You File An Incomplete Disability Application.
Many social security disability claims fail to provide all of the necessary information or documentation social security needs to properly review your file. Sometimes, it is not your fault, but the fault of your doctor or medical facility. But either way, the result is the same, failing to provide all necessary information and records, and make sure your doctor has done so as well, can kill your SSDI claim.

Deadly Mistake No. 3 – You Fail to Dispose All Medical Conditions or Injuries.
Some SSDI claimants will only tell social security about their most obvious medical problem – for example, back pain – but not about other medical issues they may be experiencing, especially mental health problems – such as depression. The fact is that in examining your claim, social security is required to determine how ALL of your medical conditions affect your ability to work. If you do not tell them about all of your problems (no matter how minor each is), they will evaluate you only on your major issue.

Action No. 2 – Discose ALL medical conditions and limitations – physical and mental.
Social Security has to determine how all of your medical limitations affect your ability to work in determining your disability claim. So you need to tell them about all of your problems. Your knee that locks up and hurts for 20-30 minutes every once in a while after strenuous activity is as important as your congestive heart failure. Your ability to maintain personal relationships and take direction from supervisors can be as important as your back pain. Tell Social Security about all of your impairments.

Deadly Mistake No. 4 – You Wait Too Long To Appeal Your Denial of Disability Benefits.
You have 60-days from the date of your denial to appeal to the next step of the process. This is true with each relative denial. Missing the 60-day window to appeal can and often does spell the end of your disability claim. Now you can reapply, but you have to go back to the beginning of the line.

Action No. 3 – Appeal Within 60-days.
Social Security laws and regulations provide you 60-days from the date you receive a denial to appeal. In determining what day you received the denial letter, Social Security rules assume that you received it 5-days after it was dated. To make life easier, if you believe the denial was in error appeal as soon as you can after receipt of the letter. You can appeal online at http://www.ssa.gov or by calling your local social security office. You do not want your valid disability claim to be denied simply because you failed to file your appeal within 60-days.

Deadly Mistake No. 5 – You Over Exaggerate Your Limitations or Speak in Absolutes.
Some SSDI claimants will tell social security – "I can not sit" or "I can not walk". For most disability claims, this is simply not true. You will be able to sit for some period of time or walk some distance. (I do admit that there are a few people where these absolutes are true, but not for most.) When you speak in such terms, the examiner gets a bad impression of you because this is simply not true in the large majority of cases. What happens when the examiner gets a bad impression of you and your credibility is asked? You get denied. Be truthful.

Action No. 4 – Be Truthful And Tell Social Security The Details.
You can never go wrong with the truth. The truth is important to your Social Security Disability Claim. While you do not want to over exaggerate your limitations by speaking in absolutes, you also do not want to under report your abilities. Good responses are those that include details such as "I can hold a gallon of milk and walk with it for 10 feet before I need to put it down and rest," or "I walk to my mailbox to collect my mail. 30 feet. Before I walk back, I need to rest for a few minutes at the mailbox to regain my strength. " Responses such as these that accurately describe your true limitations and provide concrete details allow an examiner to effectively evaluate your limitations. You should also remember that these examiners have heard it all and hear it all. They are very adept at spotting exaggerations and untruths. If they sense that with you, you will lose credibility, which is important.

Deadly Mistake No. 6 – You Approach the SSDI Process Without Understanding It.
For most people, the only experience you will ever have with applying for disability benefits is when you have to do it for yourself. Do you know exactly what you are trying to prove? Many people do not. Often, disability claims think all they have to prove is that they have some type of medical condition and they should win. This is not correct. You need to know what you need to do and prove in order to do it and prove it. Otherwise, you could have a ship sailing to an unknown harbor without a map.

Action No. 5 – Read Informational Sources to Help You Understand The Process.
I believe it is important for social security disability claims to know something about the process the government uses to determine whether or not you will qualify for disability benefits. That's one of the reasons why I write articles, blog, and provide information to disability applicants – it is a complicated process. You can find valuable information across the internet and especially on SSA.gov (the Social Security Administration's homepage). These resources can help you better appreciate the process, especially if you are determined to fight for your benefits alone.

Deadly Mistake No. 7 – Failing to Dislose Your Entire Work History and Vaguely Describing Your Duties.
Sure, you have been doing the same job for the last 7 years, and before that you worked for another company for 5 years. You remember those. But what about in between those two jobs, when you worked with your brother-in-law for 2 weeks and was paid. Social Security will know about every job you had where you paid taxes – no matter how much. You need to think about exactly what jobs you had and what you were required to do in each job and accurately report that to Social Security. This again will go to your credibility if you fail to do so.

A second part to this mistake is not accurately describing your duties. You may tell social security you drive as part of your job. But for how long at one time? How often each week? These details can have a major impact on the disability determination. Leaving out these details can be deadly to your disability claim.

Deadly Mistake No. 8 – Failing to Get A Disability Attorney To Help You.
Disability attorneys are familiar with social security's complex rules and regulations. They know what medical records are necessary to prove up your diagnosis and know the questions to ask your doctor to help prove your limitations. Do you? They know what role a volunteer expert will play during your hearing. Have you heard of a volunteer expert? Do you understand what they are trying to do? I am not saying that you can not win a disability case without an attorney (actually, many people have), or that an attorney guarantees you a win (even the best football teams lose during any given season), but having a well prepared attorney who knows the game plan of the opposition can put you in a better position to find success.

Action No. 6 – Hire A Disability Benefits Attorney.
This may sound self-serving, but doing so can help you present your disability claim in the best possible manner to social security. You would not treat your own broken arm although you have seen a doctor wrap it in plaster of Paris and put it in a sling. A doctor can make sure that it is set properly and knows precisely how long the arm needs to remain immobilized. Similarly, with a Social Security disability attorney, the attorney knows and understands the process as well as certain strategic moves that can bolster you chances for success.

By avoiding these deadly mistakes that can disable your disability claim and taking the actions that could help, you will give yourself the best opportunity to get the SSDI benefits you need to survive.

Buttons – History and Facts

When did buttons begin to be used? What was used to secure clothing before them? Some history and facts about the button:

  • Button-like objects have been found in the Indus Valley of ancient Pakistan and date back to around 2000 B.C.E. These were not used for fasteners, but for ornaments. Before they were used for fastening, pins, leather lacing and belts were used to secure clothing.
  • Before buttons could be used as fasteners, the button hole had to be devised. Evidence dates the first button and button hole closure systems to the 13th century in Germany. This may have been a solution to the problem of how to secure clothing that was becoming more and more form-fitting, without having to resort to sharp pins.
  • As with most anything that is new, they became a fad. Buttons and button holes covered the clothing of the well to do. The number of them and what they were made out of became a status symbol. It has been rumored that King Louis XIV of France spent over $5 million on them in his lifetime.
  • Ever wonder why men’s suit coats have non-functioning buttons sewn on the sleeves? Some say they are just for decoration, but there is also the story that King Frederick The Great of Prussia started the practice in the 18th century. The rumor goes that after an inspection of his troops, he ordered that buttons be sewn on the sleeves of their coats to discourage them from wiping their noses on them!
  • The Scovill Manufacturing Company in America made a set of gold buttons with the profile of George Washington on them that were presented to Marquis de Lafayette during his U.S. visit in 1824.
  • With the increased cost of ivory in the 19th century, button manufacturers began to make them out of a nut from a specific kind of palm tree in South America. This is called vegetable ivory, or corozo. When the nut is dried, it is a very reasonable facsimile for genuine ivory, and is still used today.
  • The first buttons made from celluloid, one of the first types of plastics, were made in the 1860’s.
  • Before World War One, most button manufacturing was done in Europe, specifically England. After the war, the United States became the center of button making until modern times.

A Critical Valentus Review – Should You Join?

If you’re reading this Valentus Review, then chances are you’re either looking to join the company as a distributor or maybe you’re someone who was approached by a Valentus distributor and you’re doing a little bit of research. Regardless of how you found this review, you’re at the right place because in this third party Valentus Review I’m going to cover the essential details you need to know before making an educated decision about the company. Now before you proceed, I do want to disclose that as I write this I am not a Valentus distributor nor am I affiliated with the company in any way. And to be totally honest, it really doesn’t matter to me one way or the other if you join or not so you can be sure that you’ll be getting a truly unbiased perspective.

First things first, let’s take a look at the company itself. Right out of the gate, I couldn’t find much information except that the company was started by CEO Dave Jordan. Also when I checked the website, it wasn’t really clear where their home office is located although it lists a Nevada address as a place to return product. With that being said, that doesn’t necessarily mean that the company isn’t legit. It is a start-up company that just recently launched less than a year ago as of this writing. And typically, start-up deals don’t have much information posted online. One thing I will say that I do like is that the company looks to be very friendly to the whole online world and online marketing. If you’re going to join a Network Marketing company, it’s always a major benefit to partner with a company that is friendly to both offline and online marketers.

As far as the products go, Valentus carries 4 products you can promote. The first one is Weight Loss Coffee. Coffee is a huge Industry and in my opinion there isn’t a better product to market via Network Marketing because almost everyone consumes it and you don’t have to change people’s buying habits. The coffee contains Garcinia Cambogia, Ginseng Extract, Green Tea Extract and Chromium. These ingredients all aid in weight management and fat loss. The second product they carry is Weight Loss Tea. The tea contains Garcinia Cambogia, Raspberry Ketones and Maqui Berry. The third product is a fruit flavored drink that aids in immune support. And lastly, they carry a fruit flavored energy drink that contains Guarana Seed, Maqui Berry and Gotu Kola. I haven’t personally tried any of the products but they look to be of high quality. I like how they’re packaged in single serving packets which make the products easy to carry around and give out to prospects to sample.

Now let’s cover the actual compensation plan. Distributors are able to earn income 7 different ways. You can earn immediate income by retailing product and personally enrolling new distributors into your team. While there are several ways to enroll people, just assume that everyone joins at the $499 Pack for the sake of simplicity. Whenever you personally enroll someone, you’ll personally earn a $100 Bonus. There’s also a Coded Bonus program that pays out $100 Bonus on your Legacy Team’s production. For big recruiters, there’s a lot of money in the Coded Bonus. Just make sure you understand it well and how it works if you’re serious about joining the company and starting a home business.

As far as the residual income part of the compensation plan goes, the company has a Binary Two-Team structure. As you build your right side and left side, the company pays you a $20 Cycle Bonus whenever there’s 200 BV on one side and 100 BV on the other side. Here’s my take on this… On one hand, it’s very attractive because getting a $20 Bonus on essentially 300 BV is pretty aggressive. The one thing though is you have to make sure you understand the Binary and how it works. For example, if you have 300 BV on one side and 0 BV on the other, you don’t cycle. In other words, you need to be really good at balancing your two legs if you want to make a healthy residual. Now to be clear, I’m not saying this is a bad thing or good thing. You can certainly make serious income regardless as long as you understand the compensation plan and how to structure your group. It’s also important to note that the company pays out 2%-25% Matching Bonuses on up to 7 Generations which is pretty generous.

So should you join Valentus or not? Well… only you can answer that. In my opinion, the pros of the company are they market easy-to-share products like coffee and tea, and the company is very friendly to online marketers. The cons are it is a start-up which is very risky and there isn’t enough information on the actual company and its infrastructure. That being said, these are just opinions and what I may think of as a pro, might be a con to you. One thing is for sure is that if you do decide to partner with Valentus, you’re going to need leads. Having an on-going steady flow of leads is critical to your success. Why? Because it matters not that Valentus has great products and a lucrative compensation plan if you have no one to talk to about the deal. Your ultimate success will depend on your ability to personally enroll new people and get customers, and those two things depend on how many leads you are getting. Of course, you can talk to your friends and family (and you should) but when your warm market runs out, it’s important that you know how to leverage Attraction Marketing so you can get leads online and build your business even if your warm market dries up. If you’re able to put Attraction Marketing to work for you, there’s no telling how prosperous your business can be.

Piracy on the Sea of Cortez

An early morning dream-voice told me Chamula was back. As hard as I had tried not to, I had fallen in love with the captain of a co-op shrimping trawler, Joven, out of Guaymas, Mexico. We met six months earlier in a little palapa restaurant at the mouth of the Mulege River. For months now, I had been having the most amazing experiences. The morning of the dream my sister and I talked over coffee, and I told her how much I had wanted to go out with him on this latest expedition. However, Chamula could not promise when he would return and he thought it best I do go. Just then Alisabeth's boyfriend, Marcos, came through the door, his fiercely Yaki Indian face looking even more so today. Gravely, he reported that the Joven had been robbed; the crew held at gun point by the Mexican mafia!

The story unfolded. Shrimp boats worked nights and rested during the day, the crew catching well deserved sleep. They had anchored off the coast of Sinaloa, Mexico, and it was then they were boarded by six men with guns. Forced to take off all their clothes, they were thrown into the hold. The 600 kilos of shrimp, their personal belongings, and money were taken.

We hurried out to the ship, and I will never forget the sight of them: bare-chested, ratty sweatpants, and hatless, squinting against the sun. At that moment it would have been hard to tell the difference between the banditos and the crew. Everyone looked really rough. We were told that this was a common occurrence, because of the wealth the shrimp represented, as valuable as gold, the Mexican mafia regularly took its share. Alisabeth looked at me with great big eyes. "You wanted to be on this boat trip." I looked at Chamula. He nodded. I could not even picture the horror I would have faced, or the likelihood I would not have returned.

The blustery north winds kept the boat grounded for several days. Since the captain and crew were paid according to the amount of shrimp bought in, it was critical to get back to work and make up the loss. I still could not get myself to say goodbye and head back to the states, so when he asked me if I wanted to go back out, I foolishly said yes. Alisabeth reminded me that it was an "experience of a lifetime" and we both laughed at the old joke. Back on board, I watched as the palm trees receded in the distance and the water cactored the last golden rays of the sun; I was already having grave doubts about my decision. Chamula had not told me where we were going or how long we would be gone. I found him at the helm and it was then I learned the truth. We would be motoring for two days, and the first mate mentioned that we were headed to Sinaloa! What? Chamula sheepishly affirmed that it was true, not wanting to tell me because he did not want me to return to the states. We were headed to the coast of Sinaloa, exactly where they had just been robbed!

"Pendejo!" I retorted angrily, swearing like a Mexican sailor. Out on the deck, I flopped down and leaned back on the salt encrusted nets. I was in shock. I felt like I had volunteered to be kidnapped. All this because I did not have the guts to say goodbye. Well, I had made the choice, and the choice put me here. Done. Now the only thing to do was either stay mad or have an adventure. Since it was such a small world aboard a boat in the middle of the sea, I thought adventure was the better choice.

Chamula followed me. I did not understand how he could put me in harm's way, and told him so. His answer was very pragmatic. He assured me that since all the shrimp were gone and the mafia knew that, we would be safe from the threat for a while. The seas began to pick up the further south we went. I started taking heavy doses of Dramamine and went to sleep. When I got up the waves had turned dark blue with deep troughs and white caps. I brought coffee forward to Chamula and asked if he could show me where we were. Might as well learn something during my voyage into hell. He was all too happy to see I was not holding a grudge. In the evening we had gone south to Loreto then southeast across the Gulf in the night. Now we were near mainland Mexico. I sat on the step of the wheelhouse, sipped coffee, and watched the whales spouting.

At 4:00 pm the rumble of the engine went silent. We tied up at the stern of another co-op boat in the middle of nowhere. Well, I knew we were in the Gulf, but I could see no land. The sea was a constant relentless motion. Worried, I asked the Captain if we were not going near the coast. No, he admitted, this was much different from Mulege. It was illegally we would see land, because the gulf was so shallow here that boats could anchor right in the middle without a problem. I thought the boats might not have a problem, but I certainly did.

The next morning I crawled from the bunk and the motion of the Joven thread my body against the cabin wall. "Mierda!" Another day of heavy seas. I surprised how many days I could keep myself drugged and sleep. It was then I surprised if I could get Chamula to let me off the boat. When I asked he said he had a friend in Los Glorious, Sinaloa who could probably help. And just like that the captain pulled anchor and we headed to the mainland. I felt horrid to be the reason that everything was changing course. My hermanos looked at it as just another lark, an "aventura" in the moment, and if you were a woman stuck in the middle of the gulf, their attitude had a lot going for it.

Once moored off Los Glorious, the wonders of Mexican transport became clear. Everyone knew the Joven, and a panga was already on the way out. The seas were turbulent. I literally jumped from the ship to the smaller boat below as both were tossed around. The pescador handling the launch maneuvered through the breaking surf. And like a surfer, riding the curl, he would pause a moment, and then at the perfect time he would use the force of the water to propel us forward. We would glide on the force until another wave would reach us. We rode the momentum all the way to the beach.

After pulling the boat above the tide line, we walked into the barrio of adobe brick houses. Chickens and dogs ran loose everywhere. We stopped for cold drinks at a little tienda. The sun was hot and penetrating. Sitting under a shade tree near the Sinaloa River, the old friends talked while a lone gringa looked on. In Mexico there was a time to visit and a time to go. You never thought about going when you visited. But when it was time we had to go back out to the trawler to get my belongings. We jumped back into the panga and roared through the Mangrove trees out the gaping mouth of the Sinaloa River into the smashing surf. The breaking waves hit the bottom of the boat so hard we had to hang on with both hands, not to be thrown out. I knew Chamula was expecting me to be afraid, but when he looked over at me, I was grinning so big we both must have looked like loons. I was "muy loca" for more! And that day I earned the title, "Pirata."

Back aboard the heaving decks of the Joven, I went in to pack. Chamula would not let me to go alone, and so we both went to the beach to meet his friend. We rode in the back of an open truck all the way to Los Mochis airport. It was a tearful goodbye. My life had been substantially changed in these months. I had lived and loved life fully. Yet I had to leave and it hurt. Looking down on the shimmering gulf waters, I picked up my journal to keep the memories fresh. Like a giant backbone of ancient volcanic rock the Baja peninsula rose up out of the water. Slowly, I closed the journal to prepare for the landing in La Paz.

You Need to Understand the Extent of the Sin of Fornication and Adultery Which Are Against God

Have you read of the story of Joseph and Portiphar’s wife in the Bible? The Go to Genesis 39:6-12. Most youths and individuals of our present generation will marvel and exclaim “wow!” he is super human to resist such a caliber of lady and who knows, she may be as well a very pretty woman. But if you understand why fornication or adultery is sin against God, then you must have understood why Joseph did that, and you can also have the strength to say “NO”. Here are several reasons:

1. Such sin gives Satan a chance to taunt Christ and ridicule His sacrifice on the cross. It is Satan who charges God, “You are unfair to expect mankind not to sin! sin is my invention, and it is so strong that it is impossible to say ‘No’ to it! The Bible says Christ died to save His people from their sins: not in them. (Matthew 1:21) ha ha ha! look at your ‘child’ who has fallen into adultery-that proves I am right, God, and You are wrong! Christ has died in vain.” If Joseph had said “Yes” to Mrs Potiphar, Satan would have taunted God like this.

2. It is because of our sin that murdered the Son of God on the cross. “He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities” (Isaiah 53:5); that hurt! Someone may object, “Yes, but was nearly two thousand years ago. and His suffering was “once for all” and it is finished now. My continued sinning doesn’t hurt Him any more!” This is the lie that many professed Christians believe. Let us read how Hebrews describe man’s fresh re-crucifixion of Christ.

There is no longer any sacrifice that will take away sins if we purposely go on sinning after the truth has been made known to us. What, then, of the person who despises the son of God? Who treats as a cheap thing the blood of God’s covenant which purified him from sin? Who insults the spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:26).

This was what Joseph “saw”, and his faith kept him from doing it. It wasn’t fear that held him back. He didn’t say, “oh, maybe my father or my brothers will hear about it”, or “perhaps I will get a venereal disease.” or “maybe portiphar’s wife will get pregnant by me.” No! “By faith Joseph…” felt a deep heart-appreciation of the sacrifice of the son of God for the sins of the world. How could he treat it as “cheap”? “Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul!” he prayed; he would not “insult the spirit of grace,” nor “crucify the son of God and expose Him to public shame.” Yes! Joseph may have lived years before Christ won born on earth, but in general he saw the mercies of God, His grace as something not cheap to be thrown in the gutter by compromising his faith. Thank God for Joseph! The world owes a great debt to him….

3. Adultery or fornication always brings sorrow and suffering to someone; in fact, there is murder wrapped up within it. Millions of people, for example, openly recognize that abortion is murder; and it is almost always the result of sin. Even when fornication or adultery is done only for “recreation” or “fun”, someone will surely get hurt. The pleasure of the moment is offset by the guilt that will remain, poisoning the heart and life. In order to silence the sense of guilt. many people simply renounce all title to heaven, give up, and choose to go to hell. They may appear outwardly to be happy once they have made that final choice, but as Jesus says, “Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.” And they know it. And since it takes two people to commit fornication or adultery, one has led the other to the loss of his/her soul eternally. also many a marriage is poisoned within the painful memories of pre- or extramarital sexual transgression; and again, the children are the unfortunate losers. They are deprived of the happiness and peace of a home every innocent child has a right to have. Their parents always bear the “wound and dishonor” that their sin brought (see Proverbs 6:33).

Many girls are also led into prostitution. They are to blame, of course, but others are to blame also. Those who patronize them help to make and keep them what they are. What a misuse of human capability! Even when the girls become so hardened that they have forgotten how to shed tears and have become dehumanized as it were, the misery is deep. Joseph didn’t want to add to this destruction of humanity. And it was in Africa that this mighty victory was won for the world!

4. All this resultant pain and suffering Christ feels. The Bible teaches, “In all their affliction He [Christ] was afflicted” (Isaiah 63:9). HE feels it even more keenly than we humans feel it. for He sees the end from the beginning. “His souls was grieved for the misery of Israel” because of their wrongdoing (Judges 10:16). A wise writer once said:

Few give thought to the suffering that sin has caused our Creator. All heaven suffered in Christ’s agony; but that suffering did not begin or end with His…. humanity. The cross is a revelation to our dull senses of the pain that, from its very beginning, sin has brought to the heart of God. Every departure from the right, every deed of cruelty, every failure of humanity to reach His ideal, brings grief to Him…. As the “whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together” (Romans 8:22), the heart of the infinite Father is pained in sympathy. Our world is a vast scene of misery that we dare not allow even out thoughts to dwell upon. Yet God feels it all. In Order to destroy sin and its results He gave His best Beloved, and HE has put it in our power through cooperation with Him, to bring this scene of misery to an end- Ellen G. White..

This is what Joseph “saw”. This is why, when Potiphar’s wife offered him that alluring, almost over-mastering temptation, he said “How can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Someday we shall see all the fruits that have been borne by the seeds of sin. It will be a terrible sight. God will not say one word to condemn us- He won’t need to. We shall condemn ourselves, and the whole universe will condemn us as the world today condemns Hitler. Is it not good that the Holy spirit convicts us of sin today so we can find repentance before it is too late?

God has revealed His grace for the salvation of all mankind. That grace instructs us to give up ungodly living, and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this world, as we wait for the blessed day we hope for, when the glory of Our great God and savior Jesus Christ, will appear. He gave Himself for us, to rescue us from all wickedness and to make us a pure people who belong to Him alone and are eager to do good (Titus 2:11-14).

After Effects Creating a Track Matte

The use of mattes dates back to long before electronic media. When I think of mattes I often picture the early 1900 black and white photo with the circular inset highlighting and highlighting the subject. Now we have track mattes, mattes that move and reveal the subject, mattes that spell part of the message.

How do you apply a matte? It's just another layer, of course! Since simplicity is our guide, create an oval matte much like one you would see framing a photograph. You can actually create a matte inside After Effects but for our friend simplicity , let's create one in Photoshop and import it.

In Photoshop create an image the same size as your After Effects composition. You really do not need to draw anything. Using the elliptical marquee tool draw the ellipse that will become your matte when you apply it in After Effects. Click on the 'Channels' pane, typically next to the 'Layers', then create a new channel using the 'create new' icon to the left of the delete icon. When you create your alpha channel the background will become solid black. Be sure white is the chosen color, choose the paint bucket tool, and click inside your selection. It will turn white; This is the 'alpha channel' area that will let your movie show through in After Effects.

I would save this file as a '.tif' type file with the default settings. That was a little bit of a side trip but After Effects and Photoshop definitely like to play together and creating alpha and getting cozy with transparency is one of your most important tools.

Now that you have your matte, import the file into After Effects. Create a composition by simply dragging the movie of your choice to the new composition icon. This will create a composition based on your movie type and length, an instant composition.

Drag the matte we created into your timeline area, making sure it is above the movie. The track matte setting and display is abbreviated 'TrkMat'; if you do not see it, the shortcut key 'F4' toggles the modes display. There is also a switch icon in lower left of your timeline panel 'Expand or Collapse the Transfer Control pane'. Transfer control is a good way of picturing this. Your matte overlay will 'control' the viewing area of your movie.

Making sure the matte file is above your movie layer, under the 'TrkMat' pane click the pull down option box and choose 'Luma'. You will immediately see your movie masked by your matte! Notice three other indicators. The 'eye' icon on the matte layer has 'shut off' and next to the name under 'source name' you see a little icon with a white ball in the center indicating this is an overlay. Similarly, your movie name now has a little icon showing the blank composition grid white gray pattern with a black ball in the center, indicating that it has a matte applied.

These are the basic steps for creating a simple matte and applying it in After Effects. What more can you do with mattes? Let's explore some more.

By the way, here's some interesting 'matte' history from Wikepedia:

Solitaire Engagement Rings Vs Three-Stone and Pave Set Diamonds

This tutorial intends to review the different appearances of engagement rings that are currently in vogue. Loose diamonds can be found in many different cuts, and the most eye-catching settings often use multiple diamonds of different shapes, complementing each other to create a beautiful appearance. When selecting an engagement ring, it's critical to bear in mind the variety of setting types available, and be sure to review the different styles before making a decision.

First, as you are probably aware, diamond settings can often be produced in your choice of material. Even though platinum and white gold rings look the same, they have radically different properties. Platinum is much less commonly found than gold, but it is also composed of purer elements than even 18-carat gold (95% pure compared to just 75% pure.) All gold material is actually yellow; the difference with "white gold" is just that it's covered in a layer of rhodium that changes the exterior color. When the rhodium breaks down after the wear and tear of a few years, it will "yellow" with age, and will have to be re-plated with rhodium to maintain its original color-less appearance. Platinum does not demand this kind of maintenance, because it is a purely white metal, albeit slightly softer than gold.

Solitaire engagement rings are well-known for their classic appearance, and represent a visually simple style that draws the viewer's primary attention to the center stone. It is a great choice if you have the budget for a high-carat diamond with excellent clarity and color. Even though they appear similar at first glance, Solitaires still have unique hits. Most commonly, the center stone will be held in place by prongs, but more stylized options, like the tulip setting, also exist.

On the other end of the spectrum, other settings readily on more than just a single center stone to show off their style. Three stone engagement rings have a great history behind them, and display a more vintage appearance. Most of these, these diamonds are all the same shape and cut. One attribute of these types of engagement rings is that they can present a more, antique, or vintage, appearance. Multi-stone engagement rings have remained popular for a long time, and represent a very classic style.

For a more modern look, consider the intricate setting of very small diamonds (usually round cut) in the ring's band, along the face or sides in a manner that emphasizes the center stone. These pave set engagement rings frequently show off bands that are twisted, separate strands to create flowing contours. Groups of pave set sidestones appear to create a brilliant diamond surface, and some rings include over 100 individual stones carefully set in incredible patterns for a stunning visual effect. Micro Pave set diamonds achieve basically the same effect, just in an even more intricate fashion. If you are thinking about a pave engagement ring, it's important to remember that since these sidestones are small and fairly transparent, they will take on the color of the ring they are placed in. Due to this, white gold does a better job of preventing the pave diamonds from being seen as discolored or inordinarily yellow.

Hamsters Will Rule the World

Is the end nigh? How will the world end? Are we all doomed? Ever since the dawn of time, we have been fascinated by the end of the world. Giant flaming meteorites seems to be the most common theory, but i think the answer lies where we do not expect. I think it lies with hamsters. Yes, those cute little fluff balls that some of us keep as pets. Sniffling away, going 'eek'. Or are they?

When you are sleep, the hamsters head under the earths surface, into a giant lair. Full of them, debating the end of the world. Or rather, how they will ever take over the world. You see, I have a strong belief that they are engineering a super-hamster in the dark depths of the earths crust. Building super-hamsters that will one day crush us, and conquer the world.

Of course, people are not going to be scared of these little creatures, trying to nibble off their small toe. They are clearer than you think. These super hamsters are in actual fact over 10 feet high, with huge sharp teeth, a viscous streak that dwarfs the killer rabbit from the holy grail, and a really mean attitude that even a super hamster can not get elected of the united states.

Lock down the hatches, secure the windows, bolt the doors, the hamsters are going to get us soon.

You see, when the time is right, these super hamsters will rise up out of the ground, laser eyes vaporizing people, giant knife like claws tearing up cars and buildings. Once everyone has turned into classic horrific b-movie victims, its then the real terror will begin. The rest of the hamster army will scurry from their lairs, forcing the human population into the oceans, where the cycle of evolution will begin again. The hamsters shall rule the earth.

The Advantages of Grille Guards for the Front End of Your Rig

For all of us driving a custom pickup, Jeep, or off-road vehicle, we know how important protecting the front end is. Whether you're hitting the back roads, constantly on a jobsite for work, or just cruising through town, it's good to know that you can count on that extra protection up front that you get from a custom fit grille guard.

Grille guards are designed to sit out front of your existing grill, thereby keeping it and all that sits behind it wayward tree limbs, stumps, rocks, and so on. They are also an excellent barrier if you should happen to bump into something like another vehicle, a tree, telephone pole, and mail box. They do wonders at absorbing the impact of such collisions.

Another wonderful advantage to adding a grille guard to your rig is that they are made to look good, and to look strong. Typically made of formed tube steel, you will find them in black, chrome, and stainless finishes, and most custom designed to fit your vehicle. No more intensive cutting, torching, and welding, but a true, easy to install, fit. You can pick from one piece, modular pieces, and even headlight guards – so that you can pretty much design and cover what you want to.

You may hear other terms used when referring to vehicle front end protection such as bull bars, push bars, brush guards, and grill guards. Oddly enough, grill guards and grille guards are the same product – just a spelling preference. Nothing more. Brush guards are one of the more common front guards, because they are designed to protect the bumper, grille, paint job, and beyond from getting scratched up by brush, branches, and the like. Push Bars are more of a combination guard and unit to assist in pushing other vehicles. The Bull Bar usually comes with a skid plate, and is more focused on protecting the lower front end from low lying stumps, boulders, and concrete contraptions that might be lying in wait, below your normal sight line.

Grille guards are available from a number of top quality manufacturers, such as CSI, Rugged Ridge, Westin, Cobra, and others. Each has their own styles and looks, so it is important that you do some serious shopping before you decide on the right one for you. These are all easily visible on the many on-line aftermarket auto accessory web stores, complete with pictures. All this makes it easy for you to visualize what this will look like on your particular rig.

All in all, the grille guard is a wonderful addition to the front end of any truck, jeep, 4×4, or off-road rig. Great protection for the grille, bumper, paint, lights, radiator, and so on. And just a great look up front – which really dresses things up right. So, do not delay one more minute, just start looking around, both on line and around town. Check out other vehicles like yours and see what others have done. Find what you like – and get that front end protected!

Gymnasts Require More Knee Protection Than Most To Avoid Injuries

Although some people like to say that gymnastics is just glorified dancing, those who have had any involvement in the sport know that it requires stamina and strength, and there is a lot more to it than just dancing. Not only must gymnasts have the strength to perform their routines, they also must possess great flexibility, agility, balance and coordination. Gymnasts need to be graceful and fluid in their movements, and it is a sport that has both female and male participants. In men's gymnastics, the events are pommel horse, rings, floor exercise, high bar and parallel bar. Women compete in uneven parlors bars, floor exercise, vault and balance beam. In addition to the style of gymnastics that we see in most competitions, there are other forms of gymnastics, including aerobic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and even trampoline gymnastics.

Gymnasts Need to Protect Their Knees

Gymnastics is not a sport for those who can not take a bit of pain. After all, even the world's top gymnasts have been known to take some pretty bad tumbles (no pun intended). Because gymnastics involves plenty of running and jumping, as well as the chances for a number of falls, gymnasts are known for getting plenty of knee injuries. To continue competing in this sport, it is important that gymnasts take steps to protect their knees, and you will often see many wearing lightweight knee braces. This is the ideal way for them to get the protection they need, while still retaining a full range of movement so they are able to perform their routines as flawlessly as possible.

The DonJoy Elastic Knee Sleeve is Ideal for Gymnasts on the Move

When gymnasts decide to protect their knees with knee braces that tie knee pain , they need to know that the braces they wear will not constrict them in any way. Gymnastics is a sport that requires much movement and flexibility, so knee braces need to be accommodating to this. The DonJoy Elastic Knee Sleeve is the ideal knee brace for gymnasts and others who need to wear a brace but still want to have non-restricted movements. Available in sizes ranging from small to extra large, this is a knee brace that can easily fit most people.

The DonJoy Elastic Knee Sleeve is lightweight and breathable, so knees remain cool and dry, and wearers have full movement. The lightweight cotton elastic material is a wonderful alternative to those who are allergic to traditional Neoprene knee braces. This brace also offers wearers a silicone donut, so the patella is always stabilized. And it is white in color, so it will not draw in heat from the sun when wearers are out on hot days. At less than $ 40, the DonJoy Elastic Knee Sleeve is a great deal for something that will protect the knee so well.

Bahama Shutters – The Distinct Advantages of Bahama (Bermuda) Shutters

Shutters are a reliably inexpensive way to add style and charm to any home. They come in two main types: indoor and outdoor shutters. The latter type has historically been used to protect homes and buildings from weather; and to provide residents with both privacy and a means of adjusting the amount of light entering a room. Certain shutter types can be beneficial for homeowners living in turbulent or extreme climates. For example, Bahama shutters provide storm protection, while louvered shutters are an excellent way to block large windows from various temperature shifts.

Exterior shutters, especially distinct or carefully crafted wood pieces, can also add panache to many architectural styles. For example, Bahama shutters give the historical flavor of British colonialism to architecture, while brightly colored board-and-batten shutters lend a touch of the Old American West to homes and other structures. Homeowners today have a wide variety of shutter materials from which to choose, including wood, vinyl, and fiberglass.

Bahama shutters: A unique, top-hinged option

The design and functionality of outdoor shutters vary by model. Bahama shutters (also known as Bermuda shutters) have top hinges, so they stand in stark contrast to other side-hinged styles. The top-hinged design enables a homeowner to push his or her Bahama shutters out and away from the house. Most other shutter styles have side hinges, enabling the homeowner to open them from the center seam and push them away from the house.

Some common types of side-hinged shutters include:

-Board and batten shutters, which consist of large, shapely slabs of shutter material. The rough-hewn designs are crafted to mimic the shutter styles found on American frontier homes.

-Loured shutters, which consist of wooden slats surrounded by a wood frame. Today, louvered shutters are often made of vinyl or fiberglass, as well. They are good choices for blocking off large panel windows or multiple windows in a series, and they can be customized to complement multiple building styles.

-Panel shutters, which are a European style of shutter and can be be customized to fit period architecture or décor. They are usually square, with one or more recessed rectangular panels set inside the shutter frames. Panel shutters also often come in fiberglass or vinyl models.

When people think of outdoor shutters, they are often imagining one or more of these side-hinged styles. However, the less-common Bahama shutter has some distinct advantages for homeowners. This style is worth considering as a quality, high-performing window covering option.

What are the advantages of Bahama shutters?

Bahama shutters are specifically designed to act as storm shutters. Because the hinges of these shutters run along the top of the window rather than down both sides, the shutters can be swung out quickly, and can be quickly closed in preparation for inclement weather. The quick-close, storm-protective nature of Bahama shutters make them an excellent choice for homeowners living in storm belts.

The New Orleans, LA and Biloxi, MI regions of the United States were devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Now, rebuilding is rapid and ongoing. More importantly, architects and contractors have learned from past mistakes and are creating homes designed to withstand hurricane winds, rain, and flooding. Bahama shutters make highly functional window covering options in this Southeastern American hurricane belt. When coupled with intuitive architecture, such as housing establishments that are raised off the ground to allow for flooding, Bahama shutters can be useful assets during storm season.

Bahama shutters also aid in natural climate control. The top-set hinges are designed so that a homeowner can choose the angle at which he or she wishes to keep the shutters open. This enables the homeowner to control the amount of air entering a room, and allows him or her to set the shutters at angles that facilitate natural cooling by air circulation. Bahama shutters are smart picks for homeowners living in warm climates; the natural cooling properties allow homeowners to conserve energy while saving money on utility bills.

The Bahama shutter style benefits a variety of climates. In fact, homeowners staying in temperate climates can enjoy the advantages of Bahama shutters over different seasons. Many major American cities, such as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York experience rainy spring and hot, humid summer weather. Homeowners in these cities can reap the benefits of quick-close shutters during periods of rainy weather, and can enjoy the natural cooling properties of the shutter design during periods of summer heat and humidity. Furthermore, homeowners in all climates can enjoy the privacy protection and noise dampening properties of Bahama shutters.

Like other shutter styles, Bahama shutters are customizable. Reputable shutter companies have design staff members on hand to render the shutter style or shape that each customer desires. Talented shutter designers can often re-create shutter styles from customer sketches or AutoCAD files. Like most other shutter styles, Bahama shutters can be constructed of aluminum, fiberglass, or wood. Many wood styles and designs are elegant and sophisticated, and those made from Spanish cedar or mahogany are typically the longest lasting.

Homeowners who desire privacy, quiet, storm protection, and climate control can benefit very by choosing durable Bahama shutters.
