The Importance of Good Product Photography

The look and feel of any online store or e-commerce site can be said to be captivating only if the images of the products and services sold are visually attractive and enhances the sale of the product or service. In fact, we come across many online sites across industry segments that have a wide range of products but very limited display or a poor one at that. In the absence of physical touch and feel experience that a prospective buyer has in a physical retail store, any unanswered questions about the product will only culminate in lost sales.

Here’s where the importance of product pages to any and every e-commerce site is underscored. The product images or product photographs provide the ‘final push’ in a prospective buyer becoming a customer.

After all, images speak louder than words and pictures can do the actual selling because even a casual visitor to a site is influenced by product photographs especially if they are displayed in a manner that is convincing and provides answers to many questions – e.g. what are sizes, shapes, colors, dimensions, fabric or material, durability etc., depending upon the category of product.

Some of the aspects that are important in product photography can be summed up as:

1. Display in environment best suited- these are especially useful for products such as shoes, all-weather fabric or material etc. as the buyer gets an actual view of the product not only in a studio setting but in actual usage. Artificial lighting and indoor setup may not be suitable for all products. For outdoor products and items, showing them in the natural environment enhances their appeal.

2. Alternative images – multiple image shots of products and angled images can convey a wealth of information such as:

  • Features,
  • Benefits,
  • Versatility,
  • Sense of scale etc.

Such images also convey to the viewer that the site is taking care to ensure that the buyer has all the information at hand to help them in the purchase process.

3. Attention to detail – this is a key attribute to sell quality items where branding, special features, weave of fabric or material need to be highlighted. They are particularly useful as a descriptive measure to highlight unique qualities of pieces of art and craft where the focus is on qualities such as tradition, craftsmanship etc. Such attention to detail also develops trust between seller and buyer.

4. As-is – for a website that trades in fashion and clothing, display of items on mannequins are not as appealing as on a ‘live body’. Nowadays, clothing merchandisers take great pains to display images of models wearing clothing to aid customers choose their fit and size, along with details of the model’s height, body weight and garment size as reference. This has worked out extremely well especially for large sized women who feel inadequate or shy to walk into a retail store and find a dress or clothing item that fits their size.

Images are no doubt appealing and the key to the success of an e-commerce site is good product photography with a keen sense of detail to help the process of online purchases.

Air Pollution

Air pollution reiterates to gasses and pollutants released into the air / atmosphere. Common pollutants such as carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane and chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) can cause a number of problems for both the Earth itself (ozone layer depletion and global warming), and for individuals breathing in the polluted air.

Some of the main consequences of air pollution are:

Ozone depletion
Chlorine atoms found in gases such as refrigerants and CFCs destroy ozone molecules in the atmosphere. The Earth's ozone layer acts as a barrier preventing much of the UV radiation from the sun reaching the surface of the planet. The thinner the ozone layer becomes, the more UV radiation is able to penetrate through. This UV radiation can damage the cells of all living things, causing skin cancer and crop failure.

Greenhouse Effect
Whilst too little ozone is a problem, too much of gasses such as carbon dioxide and methane also have negative consequences. Known as greenhouse gasses, they work like a greenhouse by allowing thermal radiation in but keeping the major of it trapped. This net one way effect causes an increase in temperature. Under stable conditions, the same amount of thermal radiation would be lost as is absorbed, maintaining an equilibrium. But an increase in the layer of these greenhouse gasses will trap more heat in than can escape. The consequent increase in temperature causes problems such as melting the polar ice caps which raise sea levels and cause flooding to low-lying land, as well as causing more extremes in seasons which threatens wildlife survival and the natural rhythm of life.

Large cities containing millions of people produce a great quantity of emissions. As well as some being harmful in their own right, these gases can also react with each other to create secondary pollutants and ozone, causing problems for people like skin irritation and respiratory complaints.

Acid Rain
When certain types of gas such as sulphur dioxide or hydrogen chloride are released into the atmosphere, they react with the water to produce acids like sulphuric acid, which falls to the ground as acid rain. Not only does this corrode and damage buildings, it will also harm / kill wildlife and vegetation.

The growing industrialization of the world's nations has led to an increasing number of factories being built, as well as more power generation facilities that are needed to support them. As well as this, citizens in countries such as China and India are becoming wealthier, allowing many to purchase a car for the first time. The sheer size of their proportional populations means that the problem of harmful emissions into the planet's atmosphere is likely to get a great deal worse.

With so many negative consequences, air pollution is a key area to concentrate on when assessing your organization's environmental impact. Any environmental risk assessment should look at how your operations affect air quality, including any waste material that is disposed of and may give off harmful gases such as rotting waste which can produce methane.

All About Home Fire Proof Safes

If you are planning to purchase and implement home fireproof boxes and off-site digital storage devices, you need to consider certain features. Both methods of storage are essential for better organization during emergency.

Features Of a home fireproof box

If you are planning to store paper documents, it is important to go for a fireproof box that has a temperature UL rating of a minimum of 350 for 60 minutes. The rating means with a temperature of 1,700 degrees lasting for 60 minutes, the inside temperature of the fireproof box will have a maximum of 350 degrees. As paper catches fire at 451 degrees, a rating of 350 is good for paper protection. If your location is close to a fire station, you can get along with a 30 minute fireproof box as well. And, if your place of residence is far from a fire station, it is better to go for a maximum rating of 120 minutes.

The fireproof box also needs to be waterproof so that the gushing water being thrown by the hoses of the firefighters does not damage the contents inside. It is important to go for box that is not only water resistant but fire resistant as well.

It is also important for the fireproof box to be fixed well to the floor and hidden from public view so that thieves may find it difficult to locate them easily. Ideally, the box should have security rating of B2, which is the standard of residential security. The rating signifies that it will take a minimum of five minutes for it to be broken by technicians trying to open it. One can go for better ratings (TL-15, TL-30, etc) for higher protection of boxes. However, the costs for these better ratings are higher though.

If the box needs keys to open, you need to keep the spare keys at safe places. It is recommended to keep one key in safe place of your home and one at a place far away from the house. In no way the spare keys should be placed in a safety deposit box at the bank as you will be unable to access the box without its key or correct identification.

Also emergencies can happen at odd hours and your bank may not be open at that hour. The same could be true at your office as well. You need keys to your office as well as proper ID to get inside your office, whatever the time of the day. During a major fire at your office, you could focus very well on yourself and your loved ones without bothering about your wallet and keys.

There is no need to store photographs or digital media in your home fireproof safes as boxes with a rating of 150 is ideal for photographs while for digital media storing, 125 is enough.

It is better to go to the local hardware or safe store and check the different types of safes available, including their technical details and costs.

Why Should I Do Home Improvements?

There are several different reasons improvements are done and you will find that they are very time consuming. They are however usually worth the energy and time that you put in to them and you are bound to appreciate the outcome. An improvements is basically altering and changing the home.

The exterior and interior of a home can undergo improvements. Enhancing the beauty and value of a home is just one reason for improvements, they can also be done to repair any damages. Adding more space and making the home safer is anther reason for home improvements.

Some of the types of improvements done to make your home prettier is interior design type projects. This projects include painting and wallpapering the walls or ceilings, adding new flooring, or upgrading and adding doors and widows. You can add beauty and style to your home by doing these improvements. Improvements can often be as little as changing a blown light bulb or even as big as rebuilding the home after a disaster.

Home improvement prices can change drastically. A common improvement that is done is changing the kitchen or bathrooms of a home. Some homes may not have the cabinet space they need therefore extra cabinets need to be added. Some improvements involved upgrading to elegant fixtures in the bathrooms or kitchen. You can find gorgeous fixtures very affordable.

When doing improvements to repair damages these can include electrical fixes or upgrades, plumbing repairs, or roof replacement. Of course these are not the only things people have to repair around their homes. Repairs often need to be made around the home at any given time.

The safety of the home has become an improvement that most people are doing by adding security systems. Cameras or security systems are improvements that will keep your family and your home safe. This is a great improvement to make to any home.

These improvements will also raise your homes value. These are very expensive and time consuming improvements but are generally worth it. Whatever home improvement you do, you will be happy with these improvements in the end.

Fireproof Gun Safes

Every day thousands of homes are ravaged by fire. Fire safety is an important part of your every day life if you want to protect your family and friends as well as valuable possessions from the dangers of fire damage. There are a few things you can do to insure that you will be protected if a fire ever were to ignite and burn down your home but those of us who are not just home owners but also gun owners know that one of the biggest things we can do to protect our valuables is owning a fireproof gun safe.

These safes come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and they range in price from the cheap one hundred dollar variety to the incredibly expensive five thousand dollar to ten thousand dollar variety. Every safe manufacturer builds their safes a little bit differently and they all put them through standardized tests to make sure the gun safe is strong enough for the consumer.

When shopping for a fireproof gun safe you will soon recognize that most gun safes proudly boast their fireproof ratings. A gun safe is put through rigorous fire tests if one of its features is to protect against fire damage and the advertisements and specifications for each of those safes will have the temperature of the fire and the length of time the safe can withstand that fire without being destroyed or damaged.

You will soon find that the more expensive the gun safe, the more heat it can withstand. This is because the fireproofing is expensive for manufacturers to put in. It takes multiple layers of insulation and specialized metals and glosses to increase the fireproof rating of a gun safe and after a while it becomes expensive. You have to try and decide what kind of security fits in with your budget.

If you're worried about a huge fire destroying your home and burning everything in there with a thousand degrees of heat, you'll probably want to spend a little bit extra money and pick up one of the more expensive and therefore more durable fireproof gun safes. If you are not so worried, or do not plan on storing anything truly valuable in your gun safe, you can take the risk and just get one of the cheaper brands.

Pay attention to the gun safe labels and gauge the risk against the cost. Its just like car insurance, the more you spend the less you have to worry about but not everyone is made of money these days.

What Are the Different Types of Home Foundation Repair?

A foundation is a fulcrum on which a house sets. This foundation holds the house in place. For a house to be strong, first, the foundation has to be perfect.

There are two predominant types of foundations. First let us consider the slab-on-grade foundation. A simple concrete slab is beloved below the structure to give it a strong base. It is purported to give the structure solid flooring. It can move as one structure. It does not get fragmented. This is a waterfall foundation that will often shift from season to season as it is impacted by seeing water an also by the root systems of local plants. Slab-on-grade foundations are akin to the root systems of grass or shrubbery.

Another type of foundation usually employed is Pier and Beam foundation. They are deeper. They can be used in areas where snow and frost fall. It will sink below the frost line. This type of foundation can include a basement. The frost line is generally located between 5 and 8 feet below the surface. These types of foundations are always used in residential and commercial properties. The guidelines for using the foundation are decided by the period and style of the building surrounding the soil conditions and the requirements of the property owner.

According to Jeffery Ellison, an acclaimed expert in repair construction, there are three advanced methods of foundation repair – concrete press piling, steel press piling and bell-bottom piers. Bell-bottom piers before the hydraulic depress piling systems were injected. The concrete pilings are 6 inches in diameter whereas the steel pilings are less than 3 inches in diameter. Compared to concrete pilings, they can penetrate more through the stiffer soils.
The steel pier method is rated as the best of the lot. Due to its long lasting support factor. According to Granite Foundation Repair, the robust steel pier is drilled into rocky terrains at pressures of up to 10,000 PSI and depths up to 60 feet. Normally, the type of foundation repair takes three days to get completed. Pressed prayers are graduated as the quick solution. The pilings are hydraulically drilled by employing an installation force of 5000 PSI. This operation will acquire support strength of twice its installation force in a short period owed to the soil mechanics of friction and compression. As per website, "The system consists of pressed concrete arguments topped with a pier cap, blocks and shims".

Another economic foundation repair is drilling or pouring concrete piers. This is performed by drilling holes to depth of 9 to 12 feet below the surface and then filling with steel and concrete. Concrete which has been beloved is added with concrete spacers and shims. At the initial stage, a structural engineering company has to be pressed into service for testing the soil. They will recommend which foundation would be the most suitable for that particular soil. After the initial formalities the engineer can decide on the design of the specific slab for the evolving soil conditions. As Ellison quotes, many persons do not resort to this operation as they are due to make any extra payment. Even though the house owner pays a maximum amount of $ 800 to obtain the service of any qualified and efficient engineer, that is a worthy expenditure considering the long term prospects.

Easy and Effective Remedies for Smelly Well Water

Smelly well water is the worst! Not only does it make showers and baths less enjoyable, it does not taste great either. This affects water, coffee, tea, lemonade, soup, and all meals prepared with water. It can also stain laundry, cloud water, and more. Although the effects of smelly water are mostly harmless, it is something no one wants to, or should, live with. There are viable solutions to odorous well water. Continue reading to learn what's causing your well water to smell bad, and how to get rid of it for good.

Rotten Egg Smell

Does your tap water smell like rotten eggs? This is caused by a bacterial problem that lives in the surrounding soil or ground water. What you actually smell is a gas called hydrogen sulfide (H2S). This gas is produced by bacteria. For this reason, odor-causing bacteria are also called "iron" or "sulfur-reducing" bacteria. Although the bacteria comes from the surrounding soil and groundwater, it can find its way into well water supplies in many ways. Work on indoor plumbing can open doors for odor-causing bacteria, as well as, well maintenance and repair, underground trench work, pipe leaks, defective well casing, poor performing pumps, surface water connections, and more.

Well water bacteria is a challenge to get rid of once it becomes fully-established. However, there are still effective remedies to eliminate this problem. It simply takes trial and error, and patience. Here are the most common solutions to treating odor-causing bacteria and smelly well water:

  • Install a Water Chlorinator
  • Install a Whole-House Iron / Carbon Filtration System
  • Inject Air or Oxygen into the Water
  • All of the Above

Test Your Water

To begin the process of treating your water for bacteria, you will need to test it first. You can purchase a water testing kit at any local home improvement store or water conditioning store. You can also hire a professional water quality company for the most accurate results. The test you use should measure a wide variety of constituents and contaminants, but be sure it at least measures pH, iron, manganese, hardness, and total dissolved solids (TDS).

These quantities will give your water quality technician the information they need to recommend the best treatment strategies for your home. Be sure to hire a licensed plumbing company who specializes in water filtration and water conditioning. They have the skills, resources, and equipment necessary to deliver accurate evaluations, professional recommendations, and superior service.

The Guaranteed Best Weight Loss Program

If you want to lose weight, selecting the right weight loss program is absolutely essential to your success. There are a seemingly unlimited number of weight loss programs available on the market today so how can you decide which one is right for you? This is a question I see a lot from both men and women looking for the right program to follow. It’s a confusing situation to be in I can imagine; wanting to lose weight but not knowing which program best serves your needs. So what do you do?

Well, the purpose of this article is to discuss various aspects and concepts surrounding weight loss programs in hopes that it will help you be able to select the appropriate program for you. First things first!

1. Identify what you REALLY want

What do you really want from your physical body? My online fitness coaching clients hear this from me all the time. At first it may seem like a pretty silly question, but it’s not. I’ve learned that the vast majority of people seeking weight loss really aren’t really that interested in losing weight at all. It’s true! In my considerable professional experience, the majority of people seeking professional fitness coaching aren’t looking to lose weight as much as they’d simply like to feel good about themselves and avoid the pain associated with the social pressures of being overweight. Weight loss isn’t their true desire, it simply provides them with the things they are really wanting. In fact, I will go as far to say that most people really want to eat whatever they want to eat, do whatever they want to do and live their life as they deem appropriate. I’m not pointing fingers here, that’s what I’d like to do too. However, being human means we have social pressures and expectations. At this point in history we are told that a lean, toned physique is sexy, attractive and desirable. I believe that this is the reason most people seek weight loss programs, not because of a true desire to be lean, but an intense desire to be wanted, to be sexy, to be considered attractive and to feel good about their body when surrounded by people who’s opinions they consider important.

It’s perfectly alright to seek weight loss for any reason at all; because you want to feel attractive, feel confident in your body or to attract prospective love interests. Whatever your reason for seeking weight loss, it’s very important that you identify your REAL reason for this pursuit. Once you’ve accurately identified this reason/reasons, motivating yourself toward that goal/goals is a much more enjoyable process. Once this happens, the weight loss process is not so much about the weight as much as it’s all about you! And that is exactly how it should be.

2. Determine commitment boundaries

This concept is perhaps the most important of all. I have seen people spend thousands of dollars on weight loss programs only to abandon that effort just days into the program. They over-committed themselves and were not able to follow through. Every weight loss program has a few things in common. Each of these things will vary from program to program, but the basic components remain:

  1. Frequency – how often you must workout
  2. Intensity – how much effort and intensity you must put into your program
  3. Time – how much time you must exercise each workout
  4. Type – the type of exercise(s) you will be doing during a program

This actually has a common name. We in the fitness industry call this the F.I.T.T principle. Beyond these basics which are usually associated with the exercise components of your program there will also be nutritional requirements to any quality weight loss program that fit perfectly into the same acronym:

  1. Frequency – describes how often you will eat each day
  2. Intensity – how rigid or lax your diet is
  3. Time – how long you must eat this way
  4. Type – the kind of food and nutrition methodology being used

These are going to be present in any well-developed weight loss program. Your success is dependent on what you are realistically willing and able to commit to with regard to each of these factors. Let’s face it, purchasing a weight loss program does not guarantee success, you must follow the program to achieve results. For instance, if your program requires a very strict diet with seven days of intense exercise each week but you aren’t a disciplined dieter and have never worked out before, this hypothetical program probably isn’t the one that is going to serve your needs best. Perhaps you need a program that has a more developmental approach and allows you more food and exercise options.

3. Beware of programs that claim to be for everybody

I’m not saying that there aren’t programs that could benefit anyone and everyone, but I am saying that you are more likely to be successful when you sign-up for a program that is directed at people just like you. Programs that attempt to cater to everyone are typically designed to produce sales more than results. These programs tend to be very demanding, have very rigid diet expectations and often lead to injury for those not prepared to handle the demands the program requires. Do your homework and find a program that is designed with you in mind.

When I began developing my Body Fat Meltdown weight loss program for women a lot of people told me I’d make more sales if I would only market it to everyone; men, women, older, younger, everybody. While this is undoubtedly true I couldn’t ethically do that because I know that each of these groups of people have their own unique set of needs and desires when it comes to physical fitness and weight loss. Therefore, I developed the Body Fat Meltdown program specifically for newly motivated women wanting to lose weight without requiring a gym membership so they could work out each day for thirty minutes or less wherever and whenever they wanted. I wanted it to be ideal for the at-home exerciser or for women who need to workout with minimal equipment while traveling. It needed to take away all excuses for a newly motivated weight loss participant and that’s what it does. By providing exact diets and exercise instructions the Body Fat Meltdown program ensures success if a woman will simply follow it for ninety days. This is an example of a program that has a targeted audience, a specific purpose and a meaningful method of progression that will lead this specific group of participants toward their weight loss goals.

4. Make sure the program is challenging, but livable

Be honest about the type of program your lifestyle will allow you to partake in. Fitness is an evolution so where you are in life now may not be where you are down the line, but you must be able to manage your weight loss program within the current boundaries that your life provides. For instance, if you are a single mother with two small children at home you probably are not going to stick to a ninety day program where you have to eat brussel sprout and cabbage soup at each meal while exercising sixty minutes two times each day. It’s just not sustainable. Every program has it’s nutrition and exercise requirements so it’s up to you to make sure that those requirements will challenge you to improve but that also fit into your current living arrangement.

5. The best weight loss program is one you’ll finish

The most effective program in the world is useless if you don’t do it. I know this first-hand. I’ve has women sign-up for my Body Fat Meltdown weight loss program and proceed to lose twenty-four pounds in the first thirty days. On the other hand I’ve had women sign-up and never even attempt the first training program yielding a result of exactly nothing. The best weight loss program you can invest in is one you will participate in, be challenged by and finish. I can name at least a hundred weight loss programs off the top of my head that have produced amazing results for their participants. Conversely, I can assure you that every one of those programs also has people who purchased, then barely participated, quit and spent hard-earned money for no results whatsoever. Ultimately the results you get begin and end with you. They are dependent on the factors we discussed above and are absolutely determined by your participation and completion of the program.

Take these five factors and use them to weed through the vast wilderness of weight loss programs available to you. Find a program where you are the targeted participant, one that you can realistically participate in and sustain from start to finish. If you do these things I firmly believe you will be successful in your effort to lose weight and look and feel great.

How Do You Communicate With Yourself?

We are used to think that communication is between people, that we need to communicate to express our feelings, our ideas, to create bonds, good feelings, harmony,…and we all know that good communication is key in relationships, whether this being with partner, friends, family, neighbours, business,…

In absolutely everything good communication is the key to success.

But have you ever thought that you need to have good communication with yourself as well? And that good communication with yourself determines your happiness and bad communication with yourself determines your unhappiness?

Yes, because we can have all the money in the world, and houses and cars and goods and relationships, but if we do not have good communication with ourselves we may be very unhappy and also not able to appreciate and be thankful for all we have.

So, how can we achieve good communication with ourselves?

First of all, you need to welcome yourself for who you are: you are a wonder, wonderfully made, unique in richness, gifts and talents.

You need to be yourself and not try to be someone you are not, it would create inner discomfort.

Then, how do you talk to yourself?

You might say: “I do not talk to myself, I talk to people!” Yes, well, but what are you thinking and telling yourself in your head?

Do you beat yourself up?

I believe 99% of the population has obtained a PHD in “Beating ourselves up”!

Ok, so how about first of all stop doing it, start finding good things in you, take responsibility for all your weakness and do something to change them, simply?

How about starting by asking yourself:

o Do I accept, or better, welcome myself?

o Am I appreciating who I am?

o Am I respecting myself?

o Do I love myself?

o Do I support myself?

And very important,

o Am I thanking myself for all that I have done and overcome and achieved and simply for being alive and taking care of myself?

Do you know that the quality of your life depends literally on how you communicate with yourself?

You can literally make yourself happy or depressed.

It is about your thoughts about yourself, what you expect and the meaning you give to events, other people, and situations.

Your happiness in fact depends also on the meaning you give to events, situation, people, because you can choose a meaning that empowers you or one that disempowers you. What goes on in your head really determines your happiness or unhappiness. We have such a power.

How about if next time that you find yourself thinking about an event you choose to expect the best?

And how about next time that you have a discussion with your partner you choose to give an empowering meaning, maybe reframing the situation, maybe asking yourself if you need to know more information before getting a little annoyed?

How about deciding that from this very moment on you are going to make yourself happy?

And how about deciding that from this very moment on you are going to make yourself FEEL GOOD, REALLY GOOD?

Remember you can choose your thoughts at every moment, choose empowering ones!

Get That Horse Some Factor 50 And A Sunshade Please …

Seriously though – people seem to assume horses will be fine in summer and only worry about winter, but horses overheat easily.

I was walking my dog early this morning to avoid the heat and I noticed a field of lovely horses of all different varieties, shapes and sizes, all clustered under one small tree. It was already getting warmer and on closer inspection (in fact I scoured the whole field) they were doing their best to stay cool because the water supply they had was totally inadequate.

Now taking away the care of these particular horses (which I can assure you I will be dealing with …) I surprised how many other well meaning owners were assuming their horses were OK in summer? Dogs, cats, and even horses with sparse hair and light colored hair and skin are more susceptible to sun related diseases. Sunburn is painful in animals just as in people, and it is recommended to keep your pet or horse out of the sun especially during the summer from 10 am to 4 pm. Horses can be protected in a barn; even a shade tree can really help. But the point is that they do need some protection from the sun.

There are numerous cancers that can affect the skin of animals and most are related to sun exposure. Sunscreen can be used on animals but may be difficult to use in a haired area. Also, you must be careful your pet does not lick the sunscreen as it could be hazardous. There are even sun suits available for your pet to prevent skin exposure, although the pet may get hot in these or may chew them off. So there really is no substitute for providing them with the proper environmental conditions.

The single most important way to counter the impact of hot weather is to give horses access to clean, fresh water. Like humans, horses control their temperature through sweating. However, this can lead to dehydration if the water and minerals are not promptly replenished.

The safest solution is to install plenty of troughs and keep them full, as shallow water is sometimes hard to reach for smaller horses or ponies. Choosing self-filling troughs is the easiest, though costliest, option, as long as owners ensure the water is clean and that horses are drinking it.

A number of experts also advocate turning horses out in the evening and keeping them stabled in the day during summer, to minimize exposure to blazing sun and flies. This only works if the stables are cool and well ventilated, otherwise they can quickly become furnace-like. So enclosing them in a really airless wooden stable is not the answer; they will just as easily fry in there – without of course its brick or concrete which are much cooler. All this calls for is a bit of common sense – if you would get hot closed in there then so will they.

The other thing I wanted to mention is that you may also be unaware that there is another potentially serious condition in horses that can easily be confused with straight forward sunburn, and that's Photosensitization.

Photosensitization is a potentially serious skin condition characterized by sunburned, crusty skin that can die and slough away. It is usually caused by a reaction to something the horse has ateen, but the skin problem does not appear until the horse is exposed to sunlight. Three factors contribute to the development of photosensitization: -Presence of a photoactivating substance in the skin; -Expose to UV light; and -Lack of skin pigment which enables more light to penetrate the skin. Removal from the sun should provide immediate relief. Exposure to the sun causes a chemical reaction in the skin which can be painful. Affected horses can be turned out at night and housed out of direct sunlight during the day. Recovery can be a prolonged process depending on the extent of skin damage and loss.

Many horses with light skin can get sunburned. If your horse develops severe skin lesions after exposure to the sun, it's always wise to seek advice from your veterinarian to find out the cause the cause.

Humans are constantly reminded by dermatologists about exposure to the sun and the risk of skin damage and cancer. Although you may not have ever considered it before, our pets can also be susceptible to diseases related to excessive sun exposure. So next time you see an animal that is not adequately protected, have a care, and even at the risk of some verbal abuse, let the owner know (as diplomatically as possible) that they could do better.

When you are traveling and enjoying the outdoors, the last thing you want to deal with is stress from something as small as a caravan porch awning. When it comes time to erect your caravan awning so that you can enjoy the outdoors with cover, you want to be sure that you know exactly how to do it so that you do not struggle in the moment. Here are some tips and directions to help you install your cover with ease.

1) Make sure that the awning channel or pole of your caravan is well lubricated. This will make it easier to pull the awning through your channel. A simple silicon lubricant is all you need to perform the task.

2) Spread your groundsheet before doing anything else. Make sure that the sheet is placed near the awning channel so that it will be in the right place.

3) Mark the pieces of your awning that end up attached together with some color so that you will know which piece connects to which piece when installing. This will save you the hassle of having to follow your instruction manual when erecting the contraption.

4) If you have someone else with you to help out, ask someone to pull the awning through the channel while you feed the slowly through it. This will make it easier to pull the awesome through and keep it from getting stuck from friction.

5) Once you have the awning attached to the awning channel, fit the awning brackets into the roof cords to strengthen it as a whole.

6) Fit the center vertical poles first, and then put them in place in the canvas. Then repeat this procedure on the other legs and frame parts.

7) At this point you can attach the roof pole. After attaching the roof pole, increase its tension slightly. But before you fully adjust the tension, fit the roof poles first to make sure that everything is taut and that the fabric is snug. By doing this, your caravan porch awning will be able to withstand heavy wind and rain.

8) Fasten the front and side parts so that the legs will be able to be adjusted to the correct tautness and height.

9) Before putting the skirt through the bottom awning, make sure that the awning is pegged down in the corners. This will make it easier to peg down the rest of the awning and keep it all snug.

There you have it. At this point, you should have a fully authenticated awning that will provide you with comfort and encourage you to leave the interior confines of your caravan.

Exciting Innovation For Cold In-Place Recycling of Asphalt Paving

Cold Recycling of asphalt pavement is a tried and tested method of recycling that can yield significant savings in labor and materials, greatly reduce a project’s negative impact on the environment, and provide a sustainable answer to the problem of asphalt concrete maintenance. There are two types of cold recycling in common use today. The first is Cold In-Place Recycling and the other is Cold Central-Plant Recycling.

The current method of Cold In-Place Recycling of bituminous pavement was tried in the United States as early as the mid-1980s. The most widely known application is for road replacement. This method involves a “train” of equipment that mills the existing asphalt concrete. Then the reclaimed asphalt is crushed to gradation and mixed with an engineered cold recycling emulsion. This mix is repaved as the new base layer, compacted to specified densities and readied for surface treatment.

The Cold Central-Plant Recycling process involves removing the distressed asphalt concrete and trucking it to a central plant which then crushes, screens and mixes in emulsion agents and other additives. For optimum results, a mix design is formulated based on the characteristics of the pavement being recycled. This mix design determines the formula for the emulsified recycling agent and any other additives that may be needed to bring the recycled mix up to the highest structural value possible. An advantage to Cold Central-Plant is that if there are subgrade issues the asphalt pavement can still be stripped off and saved on site. Then, failed areas of the base section can be repaired prior to recycling and placing the salvaged asphalt concrete.

Because of the train that is used in Cold In-Place Recycling, it is an excellent option for paved areas that are configured in a long, narrow strip, such as roads and runways. However, because the equipment is attached in a long line, it is not a good option for the large square paved areas found at such properties as malls, stadiums, arenas, university parking lots, and commercial centers. An adaption of the Cold Central-Plant method was developed so that the cost and environmental efficiencies realized with Cold In-Place Recycling in road applications could also benefit these other property types. This adapted method calls for a mobile central plant to be erected on the site of the project. This method was used to repave a portion of the Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto, CA in September 2008. The adaptation of this method has been referred to as Cold On-Site Recycling, to differentiate it from the central plant method that utilizes on off-site plant.

The temporary plant used in Cold On-Site Recycling method requires about a 15,000-square-foot pad. A portion to all of the existing, distressed asphalt concrete is milled and trucked to the on-site plant where it is crushed, screened, mixed with an emulsifying agent per a job-mix formula and re-laid as the new base pavement. A cap of hot-mix asphalt is then applied. All projects, however, must be reviewed and analyzed to determine whether or not the cold-mix asphalt is an appropriate substitute. Deciding factors include the strength and quality of the underlying base section on which the new pavement will be placed, drainage issues, traffic loading or other loading the pavement will receive, the composition of the existing asphalt section including whether Petromat has been used, and the “user-delay” sensitivity of the project.

Though a relatively new application, Cold On-Site Recycling combines methodology that has been tried and found wide acceptance for decades. Cold In-Place Recycling is recommended by many of the Departments of Transportation in the United States, and is standard operating procedure for road replacement in many other countries, including Canada. The Federal Aviation Administration has used Cold In-Place Recycling on runways, including recently Riverside Municipal Airport and Sacramento Executive Airport.

Charisma: Assembly Required

Deeply buried within your subconscious mind are multiple personalities from past incarnations. That is why most people are laden with moods which are remnants of past personalities. You may not be born with charisma but you may have had plenty of it in past incarnations. You can develop charisma and bring out your past talents by learning what charisma is and how to cultivate it. Charisma is magnetism and magnetism gives some the ability to hypnotize almost anyone into doing almost anything, as one of its by-products will make you more convincing and gives you the ability to influence people.

First, if you want to influence people you have to connect with them emotionally and physically. You have to unload your excess baggage of any personal problems or issues that may distract you. Second, your silent vibrations are golden when you smile and make eye contact. Third, your magnetism will allow people to open themselves to your charisma. Fourth, your speech must be clear and persuasive with just the right amount of measured conviction. If you exaggerate or lie, or suffer from talkativeness, the words you say are as useless and ineffective as toy bullets shot from a plastic gun. With words that are always truthful and sincere, they will have just the opposite effect. Fifth, your ability to listen to people and their needs makes you more trustworthy and empathetic in your communication. Very few people realize that you can steal magnetism from others.

The second you look into a person's eyes there is a magnet of energy being replaced. Shaking hands forms a magnet and the weakest one steals the vibration from the other. You are exchanging these vibrations back and forth without your knowledge. There are many different types of magnetism, so be careful when you shake hands and what you associate with because if you exchange your vibrations with an evil and immoral person you will attract their negativity to you.

Beware of developing the attracting power of "animal magnetism" as some types of snakes use this attractive magnetic power to draw and charm small animals. Physically-minded people are drawn by animal magnetism. This type of magnetic exchange between adolescents of the opposite sex awakens emotions and blinding passions drawing all types of destructive behavior to themselves. It is detrimental to allow oneself to physically or mentally come under the semi-hypnotic influence of someones' animal magnetism as one would be constantly blinded by the stronger personality. When the mind is full of prejudice one can be secretly guided right or wrongly by another person's judgment.

Some types of magnetism are very desirable to have. There is wealth magnetism, mental magnetism, bodily magnetism, and spiritual magnetism. Spiritual magnetism is the grandest of them all. Those who are naturally magnetized have it all. And the reason for this is that whenever every cell of your body is naturally magnetized you attract the One that gives all. Amplifying the force of your spiritual magnetism will help you in every way possible. Again we see the universal laws to attract and repulse working here. Powerful magnets attract from greater distances than magnets that are smaller and weaker. A powerful mental magnet can attract a human being from a great distance, irregardless of the barriers and boundaries. When you have mental magnetism connected to the heart, borders mean nothing. In order to clothe yourself in garments of magnetism, learn to control yourself, have kind words, positive actions and deeds.

And above all, to become a super magnet by transforming yourself, you will have to come within range and associate yourself with spiritual magnetic giants. If you mix with the wrong people their silent vibrations will affect you in the opposite way. As the monkey loves to imitate, you do not want to be monkey like by imitating the qualities and mannerisms of others without being able to be real, but blind imitation is better than nothing as long as the standard is high.

To have a successful business you must develop the power of charisma and have the appealing power of magnetism; few people have this power of magnetism, but most do have some latent power within themselves. Magnetism is the attractive force that like gravity draws everything down to you. It not only draws the right business associates, material wealth, friends, the right wife or the right husband, but if your magnetism is wrong you will draw the wrong relationships and wrong everything else. Magnetism is not self confidence. Self confidence does not attract the bees to the flower; it is the fragrance of the magnetism that the flower exudes through its delicate beauty that even when you crush it, it still exudes its fragrance.

There are three main principles through which one gains magnetism. The first principle is spiritual magnetism. You must eradicate hatred and revenge with firmness and fairness and this will make you more magnetic. If you mix with the wrong people their silent vibrations will affect you in the opposite way. The second principle is mental magnetism. The sure way to mental magnetism is to never be afraid of anything. You must know fear is nervousness itself. Fear cripples the will to fight in your conscious mind. No matter what your fear is, you have the strength to fight. God never tests us with more than we can handle. When your nerves are not calm, fear will destroy your initiative and paralyze the desire of producing successful efforts.

The third principle is physical magnetism. This will require you to rid your body of toxins which poisons your system by weakening the energy inside you from flawed elimination, poor eating habits and other transgressions that weakened your immune system. When your body has been cleaned out or purified, your energy will show itself through your eyes and expressions and your body will exude magnetism. Each time you move your hands or body you are ejecting magnetism.

You must associate yourself with successful people, so you may steal their magnetism and remember it is not five minutes or your money back. Prolonged periods of time will be required. Do not associate yourself with lowlifes because environment is much stronger than will power. The company of sick people can make you sickness-conscious through wrong magnetic-vibrations, which should be acquired. Good habits magnetize like a horseshoe magnet adheres to and will not let go of particles of iron. Those who wish to become successful should mix with successful people; the company of successful people is a great antidote for failure.

Juvenile or childish desires belong to mundane, earthly people and therefore one day will cause you to realize the feasibility of your hard work to only gain wealth or material magnetism. We shall stop wasting time in magnetizing needless material objects and amplify the force of spiritual magnetism which extracts all goodness; consequently, there will be no need any longer to apply the less forms of magnetism for anything else as you will have it all. All bodily desires are perishable like spiritual desires that are imperishable. If you have lost a diamond and you try to replace it with a chunk of broken glass to satisfy yourself, you're headed for disillusionment. You will not find a lost diamond in a heap of broken glass because you're looking for it in the wrong place since in magnetizing fragments of glittering earthly pleasures, you will end up disgusted as it is vainly foolish to find lasting happiness in material things .
