Choose Your Glass Clamps Carefully

Glass clamps offer a solution for all functional and sometimes, aesthetic setups for handrails and their use can only be limited by your imagination. By ensuring that you have an attractive surface finish, you can use then to compliment your glass panel and stainless steel handrail combination. Before going out to purchase your glass clamps, there are several factors that you need to consider. This is important as it ensures that you only buy those that have the capability of complimenting your setting and bringing out the best features. For starters, you must consider the type of glass clamps you are interested in.

In this case, it is important to note that there are different types of glass clamps and for this reason; they can be divided into different sub categories. These might include; large D shape, large square, left / right supports, small squares, small D square and medium D shape among others. Note that they all come in varying sizes as well. Due to this variety, it is a matter of importance to ensure that you buy the right type of glass immobilizer to carry out specific function. Note that they are also designed to work well with certain conditions. For instance, there are those that are designed for use in industrial setups while others are for general purpose.

Another important factor that you need to consider is the type of material used in the manufacture of the glass fixes. Make sure that they are durable and made from durable material that is able to withstanding harsh environmental conditions. In most instances, it is advisable to purchase those that are made from stainless steel. This is for obvious reasons and key amongst them is the ability to with harsh conditions and keep the rust at bay. This is ideal as it ensures that you do not have to replace your glass compresses every so often. In addition to this, you also have to consider the installation process required. Glass is sensitive and drilling into it may cause damage. As such, it is advisable to consider investing in glass fastens that do perfectly match to the area you intend to install them.

Finally, you have to consider the cost of buying glass clamps. Considering there are multiple dealers of glass clamps, it is advisable to find one who is willing to give you competitive prices. While considering this, it is also ideal to ensure that they do not compromise on the quality of the glass clamps. If possible, make sure that you confirm whether or not they take the time to deliver them to you since this will also lower your costs of investing in these items. At the end of the day, remember that while there are several glass clamps in the market, not all of them are deemed fit for use in construction and for this reason, you should be carefully when making your investment.

A History of Glass Blowing and Hand Blown Glass Vases

Glass blowing is an art form that has been around for a long time, but interest in it died down until the 1960s, when it underwent a renewal. There are lots of quality artisans blowing glass objects of all kinds. From hand blown glass vases to ornaments and other items, there are lots of options available for decorating your home. There's a real difference between hand blown and machine made art glass, so make sure you know what you're getting. Let's take a look at where these beautiful objects came from.

Blowing glass has been around for a long time – probably since about the first century BCE. Evidence has been found in a waste heap from Syria that suggests that people were blowing glass. However, it did not get a lot of attention until the craft was mastered in Venice during the late medieval era. Workers on the Island of Murano learned how to make high quality hand blown glass vases, goblets, globes and other items. Many incredible fine glass pieces came from this era and location, and the Venetian government actually forbade the workers to leave the island, rewarding them instead with titles of nobility.

Holland and Germany were also working with glass during this period, but they were not focusing much on blowing it. Instead, these countries became masters of glass engraving. The world of glass blowing varies relatively little between the seventeenth century and the twenty, strangely enough. However, by the 1960s, interest in glass blowing as an art, rather than a mechanical process, was renewed. It started with professors at the Toledo Museum of Art, who held workshops to experiment with the art form, and only a few years later Dale Chihuly, world renounced artist, came onto the scene.

With all these new artists coming into glass blowing and creating abstract sculptures, hand blown glass vases and more, this became one of the fastest growing art forms in North America. All kinds of glass blowers are producing beautiful work in all sorts of sizes and shapes, and there's a good chance that someone is working in your area. Whether you prefer deep blue cobalt glass, green glasses, or swirled and painted glass, there are pieces you'll love.

Antique hand blown glass is also popular with collectors. This glass can come in all sorts of decorative shapes, sizes and patterns, and is extremely valuable to the right person, making it a good investment for some. Glass objects are like having jewels of your own, whether large or small, cylinder shaped, rectangular, round or square. So, no matter who you are, you should check out your options in hand blown glass vases and other decorative objects. Art glass items are hot right now, and you'll need to get them while they're still available.

James Bond's Secret Lair – The World's Coolest Data Center

Data centers have never been exciting places. That is, until now. Its official, the coolest data center in the world is the Pionen, located in 100 feet below the bedrock in Stockholm, Sweden. Originally built as a nuclear bunker used during wartimes, it's now the home of a space-age, Bond-worthy data center.

Instead of focusing on hardware and servers, the designers of this ultra high-tech data center decided to focus on humans, making it a hip and fun place to work. The center features greenhouses, waterfalls, German submarine engines, simulated daylight and it can withstand a direct hit from a hydrogen bomb.

Design Straight Out of the Movies

The location of the facility was the inspiration for the unique design. Building a data center in an old nuclear bunker claims something out of the ordinary and a boring design would not do. To find inspiration for the center, the designers turned to science fiction movies like Logan's Run, Silent Running and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Additionally, the James Bond movies were a huge inspiration for the design. The designer even wanted to get a white cat, but realized that would be going a bit too far.

Word of Mouth Marketing

One of the hidden benefits for such an intriguing and interesting design is the word of mouth marketing it automatically produces. The space-age design, waterfalls, greenhouses, artificial sunlight and smoke machines make the data center stand out. Since collocation is one of the services they offer, customers frequently visit the facility. When something is this unique customers are sure to share what they saw with their friends and business associates. Something like that can not be ignored. Other companies will want to check it out and see what's so special about the center and voila, they have another customer.

Space-Age Features

But it's not just design and no substance. In fact the data center is just as high-tech as it is aesthetically pleasing.

o Located in a nuclear bunker- the data center is located at the site of an original nuclear bunker from the Cold War. It has also kept the original name: Pionen White Mountains

o Bomb Proof- located 100ft underground and in an original bomb Shelter, no hydrogen bomb is going to destroy these servers. It was built to be secure and protect soldiers in case of an attack. No longer needed for these purposes, it now protects servers … even from a nuclear attack.

o Triple Redundancy Internet- Losing internet connection is not a concern in this facility. Even though it's located deep inside the mountains, there are both fiber and copper wires running into the facility through the mountains from three different directions.

o Cooling- The facility uses Baltimore Aircoil fans to cool the facility to the effect of 1.5 megawatts. This is enough cooling to cool several hundred servers.

o Houses Sweden's largest ISP- this center is home to the NOC for all of Bahnhof's operations. This is the largest ISP in Sweden, with five locations- of which, Pionen is the largest. Additionally the data center is a colocation facility so you can put your servers there if you want.

This data center is by far the world's coolest data center and describes its title. It's tough competition for anyone to outdo Pionen, but if anyone is up to the challenge, the world could use more cool data centers.

The Role of Window Frame Material

Many peoples focus on the window and its thermal properties. The frame itself compresses anywhere from 10 to 30 percent of the unit's surface area. It's no news that the material has an impact on efficiency. Window frames are an important part of a window's overall energy efficiency. Window frames are available in a variety of materials including wood, vinyl, fiberglass and aluminum. Each frame material has its advantages and disadvantages. It's time to pick the best one for you.

Wood
Wood has been readily available window substrate, and the most common choice for homes. This windows have many modern features. They will degrade over time. Wood also is strong and easy to work with, is a natural insulator and complements many forms of traditional home architecture. The advantages to Wood Windows are that they produce higher R-values.

Vinyl
A vinyl window can be inexpensive, durable and remarkably energy efficient. They do have advantages over aluminum window frames. Vinyl windows are made primarily from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and they are available in a wide range of standard sizes. This material has many advantages.

Fiberglass
Fiberglass is a frame material known for it's performance, durability and strength. Fiberglass frame without metal spacers and rubber gaskets. Fiberglass is the most stable material which provides an ideal base for a full range of finishes. Fiberglass material is used in boats and bridge structures which face punishment loads and stresses as well as corrosive materials such as salt water.

Aluminum
Thermally improved frames are the best of aluminum frames. Aluminum was very competitive with wood. Fiberglass is imperfect to water, cold, heat, insects, salt air. Fiberglass frames also are popular because a wood veneer can be added to the interior.

German Shepherd Coat Colors and Patterns Vary Greatly

Genetics of German Shepherd Coat Colors

Concerning the GSD and German Shepherd coat colors, the breed standard from the SV specifically states: “The color of the GSD is in itself not important and has no effect on the character of the dog or on its fitness for work and should be a secondary consideration for that reason. The final color of a young dog can only be ascertained when the outer coat has developed.”

Of all undesirable things to try to eliminate and to consider in a GSD (aka the Alsatian), coat color should be at the bottom of the list. Good pigment should be sought after but many factors such as health and temperament, to name a few, should be much more important than coat color which should always be subordinate to structure, gait, type, and character and should never take precedence over the working ability of the dog. Eye color should be dark and nose pigment should be black as well.

Concerning the coat, the SV breed standard states the following: “The normal (stock) coated GSD should carry a thick undercoat and the outer coat should be as dense as possible, made up of straight hard close lying hairs. The hair on the head and ears, front of the legs, paws and toes is short. On the neck it is longer and thicker, on some males forming a slight ruff. The hair grows longer on the back of the legs as far down as the pastern and the stifle, and forms fairly thick trousers on the hindquarters. There is no hard or fast rule for the length of the hair, but short mole-type coats are faulty.” “No good dog is a bad color” — Max von Stephanitz (breed founder of the dog) concerning coat colors.

Ask just about anybody to describe a German Shepherd Dog and they will almost always mention the “saddle Back” markings. It is also just as possible for the GSD to be one solid color such as black (solid white is considered a conformation disqualification for showing by the AKC) or sable. Sable coat colors are easily identified by multi-colored individual hairs all over the body. Sable GSD’s may also be masked by dark or black guard hairs.

Alsatian coat color patterns may include any of the following: black & tan, black & red, black & cream, solid black, solid white, (considered a conformation disqualification), sable (also called agouti or wolf gray, in various colorations), black & silver, liver (rare – conformation fault) and blue (rare – considered a conformation fault).

Richer pigmentation is preferred, color wise. While I won’t delve deeply into the science of genetics (feel free to do that on your own if interested), just know that the liver color comes as the result of matched recessives in the black series and the blue color happens as the result of matched recessives in the dilution series.

Coat colors and inheritance in the GSD is very complex and controlled by several series of genes. Following is a very brief description and summary of the various gene series in the GSD responsible for color based on information from “The German Shepherd Dog: A Genetic History” and “Practical Genetics for Dog Breeders”, both by Malcolm Willis. Both of these books should be considered as required reading for any serious fan and even more importantly for breeders. Another suggested resource is “The German Shepherd Today” by Winifred Strickland and James “Jimmy” Moses.

THE AGOUTI SERIES

The basic body color of the GSD is controlled by the genes. The order of coat colors dominance is as follows: golden sable, gray sable, saddle marked black and tan, bi-color* black and tan (bi-color is where the dog only has tan on the legs and face, not on the body), and black.

Additionally, know that the black gene is recessive to all the other colors in GSD’s. Solid black German Shepherds bred to solid blacks German Shepherds will only produce blacks. The sable colors are dominant over the other colors and patterns in the breed.

THE BLACK SERIES

This gene controls the black pigment formation on the GSD, not the hair color. The German Shepherd coat colors order of dominance is exactly as follows: Black pigment including nose, eyerims and pads; Carrier for liver color; Liver color – brown black colors, brown nose, eye rims and pads.

Note: most GSDs are considered black pigment including nose, eyerims and pads.

THE WHITE SERIES

White coat color in the German Shepherd Dog is recessive to all other colors. In order to get a white coat color in the German Shepherd, both parents must carry the white gene (either be white themselves or be carriers.) The order of dominance is as follows: Melanin is produced. (Standard GSD’s colors have this); Partial albinism (not seen); White coat with dark eyes and nose (not albino); Yellowish coat collar (proposed).

THE COLOR SERIES

This controls the intensity of the non-black coloration. The order of dominance is as follows: Lightest tan (cream); Intermediate tan (tan); Darkest tan (red).

The intensity of the color series determines whether GSD’s with color (i.e. not all- black or all-white recessives) will be black & cream, black & tan or black & red.

Coat Lengths in GSD’s

Short-coated German Shepherd’s maintain a short coat, which lies close to the body. These dogs usually have less undercoat.

“Plush” Coated GSD’s have a medium length coat with a thin, fluffy under coat. These dogs do not have any feathering as in the long coated GSD’s.

Long coated German Shepherd’s have much longer fur around their ears, on the backs of their legs, chest and tail (feathering) than other German Shepherd’s.

THE DILUTION SERIES

This controls how intense the black pigment will appear on your German Shepherd. The order of dominance is as follows: Dense pigment; blue dilution.

Black pigment combined with blue dilution will produce a blue coated German Shepherd which looks as though it has a dusty or flour sheen.

THE MASK SERIES

This controls whether or not a mask appear on your German Shepherd. The order of dominance is as follows: a black mask on the face; dark coat with no mask; Brindle (rare, will be seen as striping on the legs); clear tan.

All these genes put together determine your own German Shepherd’s coat colors.

Car Wrap Marketing

Car wraps are loved because of how easily they can transform an old car into a brand new one. They are also loved because they help in protecting the original color of the car and can be removed if you want to recreate the original look. You can easily change the look of your car using the best wraps.

However, the wraps go beyond car beauty and are used for marketing purposes. You can have your car branded with your company products and services so you can reach your target audience wherever you go effortlessly. The car wrap prints are designed professionally to cover your entire car body or they can be done to cover it partially depending on your needs and condition of the vehicle.

Car wrap marketing can be very effective because it is not aggressive; it is mobile and cheap compared with other marketing methods. You can run your marketing message and do brand awareness for years with a good wrap or make regular changes to match your needs. If you have a fleet, car wraps can come in handy in giving you uniformity and still pass desired messages to your target audience.

Car Wrap Material Options

Car wrap companies use different materials to get the job done and it is one of the decisions you will need to make when choosing your wrap.

Vinyl – The material is durable and very clean in giving solid color changes or stunning graphic changes to the car. It is lightweight and economical and can be used to cover the entire surface, including complex curves and bumpers. Its adhesive surface has air egress channels, allowing air bubbles to smooth out between the vinyl warp and the surface of the car for a painted silky fresh look. The material will protect the original paint from harmful elements.

Chrome vinyl wrap – It is a great material if you want to stand out because it has a reflective sheen that gives a clear top coat illusion. You will achieve a very shiny car at the end of the application.

Carbon fiber vinyl – It has a rugged feel compared to the chrome vinyl and has textured 3D appearance giving a dramatic unique appearance. You will love the textured, embossed finish that the wrap will achieve for you.

Matte vinyl – It has a non-glossy but dramatic look nonetheless. It is most suitable for individuals looking for a stealth unique look.

When choosing a car wrap material, consider how durable it is and how suitable it will be for your marketing needs. It is also important to ask about care and maintenance for your wrap not just so you can take care of it after it has been applied, but so you can also determine whether you can keep up with the wrap care demands. Most wraps are easy to care for and will last a long time.

Lifts for special chairs are not inexpensive. Many homes can have a handy chair installed that the disabled person can sit on to get to the higher level, but unless there is another wheelchair at the higher level or someone to take the wheelchair up the stairs, its a problem. However if the person can still walk and is just not able to maneuver up stairs, its not a big problem.

Hydroponic Plants for Hydroponic Gardening System

If you are interested in gardening that can be simple and calm and you wish to grow your own plants, hydroponics gardening method will help you grow plants of your own choice effortlessly. Hydroponics gardening helps grow big and delicious fruits and vegetables. You can build personal hydroponics garden any where around you. It is not very demanding and attention seeking method of gardening compared to traditional pot growing. It is soilless growing method. Hydroponics, also known as water culture, involves cultivation in water containing nutrients.

Ideally, soil acts as a nutrient reservoir but soil is not required for plant growth. The important nutrients plants need to grow can be absorbed by plants dissolved in water, and if these nutrients are supplied artificially there is no need for soil.

The water supply in hydroponics gardening can be automated and recycled, this lowers water cost. Hydroponics method does not require compost, because soil is not all-necessary medium for hydroponics gardening. In hydroponics system, important macro- and micronutrients are pumped through inert medium for advantageous hydroponic yields. Hydroponics systems can be carefully monitored if they are installed in a greenhouse or other controlled ambience. Ideally hydroponics is a science but it is also practiced as a hobby. Hydroponics makes plantation possible in places where you cannot imagine traditional gardening.

In traditional gardening, plants are destroyed by pests like, pin worms, white flies, leaf miners, nematodes, and diseases like root rot and bacterial wilt. Hydroponics method helps minimize risk of disease and pests, because the drained solution is sterilized, and hydroponic plants are given regular heat treatment and ultraviolet radiation. Growing plants is worthless if plants are destroyed by pests and diseases at the later stage of growth; therefore hydroponics is a standard technique to get bigger, pest-free and delicious hydroponic fruits and vegetables. For an efficient hydroponics management plan one should identify possible crop disease and insect problem and then accordingly use available solution to eradicate disease and insect problem.

Hydroponics can successfully help overcome unexpected food crises. Hydroponics is the future of mass cultivation; there will be reduced groundwater contamination and there will be no drainage system required. With the help of hydroponics there will be maximum control over the growth of your plants

Use Ceiling Fans to Warm Rooms in Winter

Most people think of ceiling fans as a warm weather appliance – you use your ceiling fan in the summer to cool off then turn it off when the temperatures get cool. But ceiling fans can also be used to help warm the rooms in your house during cold weather.

The key to a ceiling fan's effect lies in the direction the fan's blades turn. Usually, a ceiling fan's blades are set to turn in the direction that will force air down into a room – most often, counter-clockwise, though it depends on the slope of the fan's blades. As the air blows over the people in the room, it cools them off. The actual temperature in the room does not get lower, but the wind chill created by the fan makes the people in the room feel cooler.

But when cooler weather arrives, you can use your ceiling fan to help warm a room by reversing the direction that the blades turn. If you reverse the direction, instead of pushing air down over the people in the room, creating wind chill, the blades will push the warmer air trapped between the fan and the ceiling up against the ceiling. The ceiling will then deflect the warm air down into the room, where people can feel it. If you leave the fan low low, the people in the room will not feel a wind chill, but the warm air will be forced down into the room, making it more comfortable.

Many fans have a simple switch for reversing direction, but if you can not find a toggle switch on your fan, consult the manufacturer for instructions.

Web Hosting Transfer Domain – Transferring Domain to Another Provider Or Account

Recently, I had to transfer a client’s domain to another web hosting account. Actually, the domain was transferred to the same web hosting provider but it was a different account. So the steps taken here could be used to transfer the domain settings to a different web hosting provider as well as another account. Remember there will be some down time so I would advise these steps be implemented when it’s late or when you expect there to be low activity on your web site and the email accounts. The downtime will occur depending on whether you are transferring the domain to a new web hosting provider or whether you are transferring the domain to another web hosting account. The latter refers to the same web hosting provider yet a new account.

If you are transferring to a new web hosting provider then you would need to change the DNS settings. There is a way to receive and send email in the midst of the transfer if you set up additional MX servers but let’s leave that for another day of discussion. For now, however, we’re assuming that you’ve already changed your DNS settings or your are only simply transferring to another hosting account with the same provider. All the step-by-step images are specifically for the control panel CPanel. If you are using Plesk or some other control panel Webmin then please contact your web hosting provider’s tech support team. They should be able to guide you.

The process to transfer your domain to another web account yet from within the same web hosting provider is called ‘unassigning the domain’. There are some previous steps you should take to back up your email first before you delve into unassigning your domain.

Set Up Your New Account with the Hosting Provider

First set up your web hosting account with the your provider. It will make things easier later. Some providers will not allow you to initially set up an account when the domain is already associated with another provider or account. I underline the world ‘initially’ as this applies only to a brand new account. This is the case for Bluehost anyways. The workaround for this is to simply get a new domain. Some hosting providers will offer a free domain with new accounts so you can use this opportunity to register a new domain and then use that domain to set up the account. The reason for this is that when you first set up an account they will use the domain name as the account name. Every other domain is considered an ‘add-on domain’.

Setting up the new account will allow you later simply transfer the files over from one account to another using a good ftp program. I personally use Ipswitch but I believe CuteFTP has that capability as well as many others.

Back Up Email: Before Transferring the Domain

IMPORTANT: First, back up all your email accounts’ folder and files. My current web host is Bluehost and it uses a Linux OS; thus, for my particular account, the email folders are located /home1/[account’s name]/mail. For some reason, Bluehost has a number ‘1’ immediately after ‘home’. It may simply be/home/[your account’s name]/mail for your account. If you’ve set up your email accounts as IMAP then the download process could take awhile. Click on the image for a larger view.

A technician told me to the do the following though I did not test it and I suggest an alternative way to backing up your email (read below). Here is what he suggested: if you have your email set up on your client program using IMAP protocol then change your email accounts to POP protocol. This action will download all your emails to your client program on to your local computer. Essentially, you are downloading your emails off the server. This could take awhile so just be patient. IMPORTANT: please note this step should be completed for every email account. Once you’ve unassigned your domain and re-established your email accounts in your web hosting account then you may change the settings back to use IMAP. Now, the only problem I had with his suggestion is that, at least within Mozilla Thunderbird, one can’t readily change from IMAP to POP. Also, I’m not convinced (though, again, I haven’t test his procedures) that the client program will ‘re-upload’ all the emails you just downloaded from the servers (since you previously set your email account to use POP).

So here is my suggestion: simply back up all the folders, sub-folders and files from within the mail folder as suggested earlier in the first section. It’s the same as backing up your email. Once you’ve re-created your email accounts in your new web hosting account then simply re-upload the sub-folders and files to the appropriate folder. That’s it. It’s simpler. Remember, if the file sizes are large then re-synching your email accounts with IMAP may take awhile. Just be patient.

Back Up Database

Don’t forget to back up our database tables for this account just in case. I do not believe unassigning will delete those tables and database but it’s always a good idea to back them up.

Unassigning the Domain to Transfer

Click on the Domain Manager once you login to your CPanel control panel.

Select your domain from the domain list. It’s in your lower left corner.

Then click the unassign link.

Transferring or Uploading the Backed Up Email

Re-upload your backed up email to the servers.

If you’ve changed to another web hosting provider then you will need to update your incoming and outgoing mail server settings in your email client’s program. In my case, this would be Mozilla Thunderbird. If they are the same web hosting provider then most likely the incoming and outgoing mail servers will be the same so no need to change anything here.

Reload Database

Then reload your database and it’s tables.

The Pros And Cons Of Kitchen Diners

Planning how to make the best possible use of the space available in your house is something that, even for the more savvy designers amongst us, takes much clarification. Historically, rooms were built for a particular function, each use distinguishable from another. Now however, open plan living has gained many people's interest because of the modern, spacious and connected feel that it offers.

When it comes to styling your kitchen and dining area, there is a wealth of opportunity and ideas, and one that has been increasingly popular is the kitchen diner layout. But what are the implications of this type of living space on the style, design and tidiness of your home, and is it even practical?

When it comes to style, many would excuse that the kitchen diner has plenty to offer. Of course, it depends on what you want to get out of this space and what you can reasonably do to adapt this layout in your home. The beauty of a kitchen diner is that it it is extremely flexible. Some homes will have a separate dining area in one part of the kitchen, others may prefer to have a central table in the middle of the kitchen, and some may prefer the trendy look of a kitchen island with seating, so that it acts like a table or breakfast bar. Just as with any type of kitchen, styling it to your own taste is easy, and even though kitchen diners are a more modern approach, there's no reason why they can not be incorporated into an older, traditional house.

Practically, kitchen diners do have their pros and cons. One huge benefit is that they are great for families, because you can keep an eye on your children while you are cooking. Having a table and seating in your kitchen means that there is a space for homework or similar activities and it also gives a friendly, communal feel which is ideal for anyone who feels a little isolated when they are cooking alone in the kitchen.

For some, not having a separate dining area may be a huge drawback. It is true that having lots of pots and pans on view, waiting to be washed up, may ruin the mood of a formal dinner affair. However, the impact this has really depends on your circumstances, but it is something to consider before getting rid of your dining room completely. On the plus side, the communal aspect of a kitchen diner can make dinner parties more fun; it allows you to socialize with the guests without having to dash off to another room to keep an eye on the food. What's more, if you plan your lighting and spacing well, mess in the kitchen does not have to encroach on the mood. If you are able to dim the lights in the kitchen area, you may be able to create the perfect illusion of serenity, drawing very little attention from those sitting at a table in another area of the room.

Tidiness is obviously another issue to consider. It might be nice to have a separate dining area that is always kept tidy for guests. Although how much importance you place on this really does depend on what you will use your kitchen diner for most often. It will certainly be used a lot, and if your children are working in the room then there may be more to tidy away, but most people would probably sacrifice a small amount of increased mess for the fun and practicality of the room. In fact, a benefit of having a unit such as an island means that it also offers more storage space, so you can easily fit things into drawers to instantly make the room less cluttered.

Finally, there is the question of whether you will still need a separate dining room. Perhaps if this is a room you use frequently, you would miss it if the only place you could eat more was in the kitchen. However, some may prefer to remove a wall between the kitchen and dining room, for example, in order to create a large kitchen / dining area. And if extra space is something you could do with, then an unused dining room could always be altered for a different purpose, such as a playroom or office.

The options available are endless when planning your kitchen diner and it is this flexibility that has made this design so appealing to so many people. Ultimately, how well it would fit into your home is a personal decision, dependent on how you use your living spaces and what sorts of activity takes place in each room.
