Hypnosis for Fear of Crossing Bridges

Are you afraid of driving over bridges? Does just thinking about it fill you with anxiety? Do you have to go out of your way to get somewhere just so you do not have to cross one? Hypnosis can help.

Whether you are simply embarrassed of your fear or it is causing problems in your day-to-day life, hypnosis can alleviate it quickly and permanently.

Odds are you are afraid of bridges because of something from your past. Maybe you had a bad experience on a bridge or maybe you have no idea why you harbor such fears. Either way, hypnosis can help eliminate the fear once and for all. Did you know that everything you have ever experienced is stored in your subconscious? Every situation you have ever been in, and every thought and feeling you have ever had is filed away deep in your mind. Though we cannot always access these memories when we want, they continuously influence how we react emotionally and physically to situations in the present.

The problem is, sometimes the subconscious alters these memories, making some of the thoughts and feelings connected to them much worse than they actually were. It’s these exaggerated memories that cause issues, like being afraid of bridges.

Hypnosis eliminates these fears through several techniques. First, a certified hypnotist is able to guide you into a trance-like state that quiets your brain and allows your hypnotist to access the deepest reaches of your subconscious. You and your hypnotist are then able to identify the memory that is causing your troubles.

Once identified, your hypnotist will be able to reprogram how your subconscious views that event and uses its negative connotations to influence your feelings today. For example, if you were stuck in traffic on a bridge as a child, the motion of the bridge as the cars slowly moved might have been very unsettling to you. Your hypnotist can teach your subconscious that even though that situation upset you, odds are, you will not be in that situation again, and even if you are, nothing bad will come of it.

Your hypnotist can also help you visualize your fear of bridges and teach your mind how to rationally deal with that fear so that it has no power over you. Your mind will learn that your past fears have no place in your life now. Though you will remember that you were once stuck on a bridge as a child, and that you were uncomfortable at the time, your subconscious will no longer use that situation to cause you to be afraid today. Hypnosis can eliminate nearly all fears using these same methods.

Once you have eliminated your fear, you will be free to travel wherever you want. No longer will you have to plot out alternate routes to get somewhere, you will be able to choose the quickest or most scenic route for all your travels. Imagine how amazing it would be to enjoy bridges and the powerful views they often present to those who cross them.

Scrapbooking: Tips and Tricks for Texture

You love to scrapbook, and you’re tired of creating flat, boring pages and bulky, heavy, textured pages. How can you have a textured, interesting page without a tremendous amount of bulk? Here are a few tricks to creating a lot of texture without a lot of bulk.

– Paper tearing. You can use multiple layers of torn patterned paper to not only create texture, but difference in the layers. Since patterned paper is relatively thin, compared to cardstock, this creates very little bulk and can make beautiful layouts.

– Chalking or inking. Using chalk or ink on the edges of paper add dimension by separating the different layers without adding a lot of distraction. You can also add a distressed effect to paper by inking or chalking it all over. Combine this technique with paper tearing for an even more interesting look.

– Stamping. Creating stamped images, then mounting them to your layout with dimensional adhesive (like Zots Dots) adds a three dimensional effect to your layout without adding a lot of bulk. You can also stamp letters and punch them out to make a dimensional title.

– Paper crinkling. Wadding your paper up into a ball isn’t just something you do when you’re going to throw it away. By wrinkling your paper, you’re adding texture. You can additionally distress the paper by sanding it and then adding ink to bring out the creases.

– Paper crimping. Instead of mounting that photo on a flat piece of paper, try crimping it. Crimping tools are generally affordable, and come in many different patterns. This will allow your photo to literally stand out on the page, as crimped paper adds a three dimensional effect to your page and increases the weight minimally.

– Sewing. Adding stitch work to your layout adds a quilted, homemade feel. If you already have a sewing machine, use a separate needle to paper stitch than you do to stitch on fabric. Try adding several styles of stitch to your page to see what kind of texture and interest it adds.

– Sanding. Colored cardstock or patterned paper that is white core is a great supply to use this technique on. By sanding the paper, you’re distressing it and causing the white core to be shown. Additionally, you can ink or chalk the sanded spots to add further distressed appearance and dimension.

These are just a few techniques you can employ to add texture and variety to your page without adding a lot of bulk or weight. The best way to determine if a style is for you is to try it and see what results you can come up with. Good luck and happy scrapbooking!

Power Tools & Essentials For Homeowners

There are so many tools in the market, that it can be difficult to decide which are essential and which are optional. But whether you're a seasoned worker or a new homeowner, there are certain essentials most craftsmen need in order to perform routine jobs around the house.

– Hammers
Most people have a hammer in their homes, that can push nails into and remove them from any surface. There are several types of hammers on the market, such as ones with a smooth face or others with a curled claw. Hammers also vary in weight and can be as light as sixteen ounces or lower.

– Screwdrivers
A household should also have several screwdrivers. There are some screwdrivers, which allow the worker to switch quickly between the straight slot and a standard Phillips-head.

– Tape Measure
A tape measure is also very important when trying to do-it-yourself jobs. Many prefer a 25 foot tape measure that is at least one inch wide. A tape measure will ensure that your materials are cut accurately.

– Utility Knife
Another essential is the utility knife, which can be very inexpensive but can be used regularly. A knife with a retractable blade is always better. The owner of a utility knife should change the blades regularly due to dull blades can cause injuries and produce poor results.

– Pliers & Wrenches
Slip joint pliers are also very important. A socket wrench set is also very helpful and will make tightening and loosing nuts and bolts easier. The wrenches vary based on size so it is important to purchase a set or wrenches to be equipped to handle various jobs. Although all of these tools are very import, there are other more powerful tools which are essential for most homeowners.

– Power Drill
Most find use in a good power drill, which can drill holes and push screws through walls and materials faster than an average hand tool. Power drills come with various options. For example, there are power drills which come corded and others that are cordless. Most prefer cordless power drills with rechargeable batteries.

– Circular Saw
Another important basic is the circular saw, which can be used for cutting lumber or plywood. Some choose to buy a cheap saw, but these saws are often not powerful enough to tackle certain jobs. A powerful circular saw can usually cut through dense material.

– Levels
Many choose to purchase a level, which will ensure that your job is perfectly vertical or horizontal, depending on your desired outcome. This is especially important if you are doing some remodeling. You can store many levels in a tool box. Make sure you understand how a level works before trying any jobs using a level.

– Stud Finder
A stud finder can be used, especially if you are working with dry wall. There are some basic, battery-operated stud finders that are reliable with drywall wall and ceilings. On thicker plaster walls, you may want to use a stud finder that is a bit stronger and can detect the nails used to secure wood lath to studs.

There are several tools that are essential for those trying to do-it-yourself projects. But before you operate any power tool, make sure you read the directions thoroughly and understand how to operate the implementation. Safety is a must when using powerful machinery. When you use power tools make sure you use eye protection that extends over the entire eye area.

Natural Stone Ledger Panels to Grace Your Indoor and Outdoor Worlds

The amazing elegance of natural stone sits pretty on walls and around fireplaces. Build a yard boundary if you wish! Install a refurbished look to the environment with a range of marble and travertine, slate and sandstone, quartzite too. An immense range of tiles brings depth and dimension for that sumptuous, solid eternal beauty.

The design plan works fabulously well with ledger panels. Not imitations but pure natural stone in several smart colors, textures, and sizes. They might appear wild like the cliff but they have been arranged in the right sizes to assemble in a desired pattern on the wall or floor. Surfaces will never feel the same again.

Work the magic indoors

A natural living room statement wall perhaps would set the scene on fire. Another half wall elsewhere could experiment with a different natural stone pattern. Fireplaces particularly deserve those natural surroundings to remind of the rustic and the wild where humanity originated. The entertainment room would come to life with slate, travertine or sandstone on one wall. Maybe the wet bar could have another striking backsplash. Spruce up the bathroom by combining ledger panels with other natural stone products like the wood look porcelain that look authentic enough. Porcelain handles moisture well in upscale bathrooms.

The outdoor allure

In residences and businesses, blending nature with a smart touch for an elevated environment. Ledgers will upgrade an outdoor fireplace or oven surrounding. Highlight flower beds and water features with a personal choice of bewitching stone ledgers. Arrange corners and steps in a fairy tale outdoor setting. Transform the appearance entirely of cement block walls or stucco. Install columns of real natural stone to build outdoor rooms to blend into the environment. If you wish to install ledgers both indoors and outdoors, coordinate the construction to connect seamlessly in an organic pattern. A particular stone design would achieve that visual wholesomeness and bring the touch of reality.

If you have experience at the DIY tasks, the installations may be completed within a few exciting, laborious days. The size of the project would matter of course. Study our short video “Ledger Panel Installation Instructions” to understand the strategies to ensure successful installations and find a few tips and techniques. If the task is entrusted to a professional, they would use specialized tools and get the job done faster and perfectly.

Sometimes remodeling of a house becomes necessary to overcome the boredom, Plan it accordingly keeping few months time in hand.

Getting Estimates To Paint Your Home

Most house painters will be accommodating when you contact them for an estimate. They will schedule a time for them to come to the home. They will check the prep work involved, the square foot of the home, the amount of paint it will take to complete the job, and the amount of time involved. All of this should be written for you.

Ideally, the house painters offering you an estimate should break it up. You need to see what the cost is for materials and what the cost is for labor. Such information makes it possible for you to compare overall value with the services. You should never have to pay for an estimated to be done and it never obligates you to work with that company.

However, it does give you an opportunity to learn about the company and to ask questions. When you first call to get an estimate, are you blessed friendly and do they work hard to find a time that works in your schedule? Did the estimator show up on time and honestly show an interest in your needs? Did they take the time to answer your questions and to write the estimate?

If you feel rushed or that they did not really care about you as a customer during this stage, what makes you think it will be different if you hire them? Pay attention to the early indicators that you receive about the character and integrity of the employees and the entire business. It can save you hassles and headaches down the road.

The application process can vary among house painters so ask about it. If you want it roled on, you are not going to be happy if they show up with a spray. Some companies will roll the first coat and then spray the second. If you have a preference, make sure you discuss it with them before they give you an estimate. Rolling can cost more due to the time involved.

The written estimates from house painters allow you to compare what they have to offer. It is a good idea to ask them when they can get started, how long it will take to complete the job, and the brand of paint they use. As you go through the estimates and compare them, review those factors.

Do you need the work started immediately or can you wait a few weeks for one of the house painters you are leaning towards getting it done? Are you accepting of a company that will take longer due to the equipment that use or the amount of people they have working on the job?

Always check the value of the paint brand used by house painters. Some brands are well-known and they offer excellent results. Others do not last very long or hold up well. Since it can get very warm in this part of California, a paint that does well for the exterior needs to hold up well under such conditions. Otherwise, it can start to crack and blister from the heat.

Such information can help you to check your options and to decide on the best company for you. Make that decision based on all the factors and not just the price. In the end, this will help you to get a great paint job for your home and for a price you are happy with. It will also help you to find a great company to work with that you can trust and easily communicate with.

Top 5 Clubs In Barcelona

Of course, in order to do this, you are going to need to make sure that you are doing a little research ahead of time, before you leave for your trip, in order to put together a game plan for where you are going.

Then there is the club called Moog. Some say that "small" would not be the right word to describe it but many of the locals, and even those visiting from all around the world, know why this tiny little club has such a big reputation. With swathes of wood and also spots of iron, there is a gracefulness about this club that simply captivates the crowd. The sunken dance floor and an upstairs mirrored room aims to please.

A Home Elevator System Is not Just For Luxury Homes

A home elevator system is used to offer accessibility and custom mobility solutions in residential homes to those who are disabled or are challenged with climbing the stairs.

Home elevator systems are now also being installed in luxury residences, not only for those who are disabled or older, but for those who are anticipating the need for a home lift in the near future. Home elevators provide freedom and ways to access all parts of your lodging. They also allow the elderly or disabled to overcome the barriers of stairways and gives them the option of independent living.

Most traditional types of home elevator systems have the same basic features. Some of them include up to 50 feet of movement and five stops, three standard sizes, 950 pound capacity, and a certain speed. Depending on where you choose to get your elevator, there are usually four different types of panels for the wall to choose from. A few of those are veneer, melamine, raised wood and inset wood.

Other optional features you typically have have a handrail made of wood to match the panels, accordion car gates, digital indicators for floor positioning, a telephone, door interlocks, matching ceiling panels, handrails of brass or stainless steel and telephone cabinets. There are actually a whole lot of different options you have depending on where you choose to get your lift!

They require no separate machine room either, so it does not take up a whole lot of room in your home. You can usually have them installed almost anywhere in your home as well.

Another good thing about having a home elevator system installed in your home is that it dramatically increases the marketability of your home, should you ever decide to move and sell your home.

Stair lifts also provide a less expensive alternative to home elevator systems within your home. Stair lifts are good to have and are usually safe as well and do not require a whole lot of maintenance either when compared to a home elevator. They are being installed today more and more for the safety and comfort of the disabled and the elderly.

"I Can Only Wear Gold Jewelry" – The Truth About Jewelry Allergies

I can only wear gold jewelry, everything else breaks me out.” How many times did I hear that exact phrase from my mother when I was a child? Every time I would give her jewelry that was her response.

Why does everything but gold break my mother out? Is that statement even true? When I started designing jewelry over ten years ago I decided to find out. I wanted to design jewelry for my mom that she could wear without fear of a breakout. Now I am going to let you in on what I have discovered.

My mother, like many people, develops contact dermatitis when her skin comes in contact with some types of jewelry. Her dermatitis is a result of an allergic reaction to the nickel found in many types of jewelry. Nickel allergies are very common, in fact one out of every seven people are likely to suffer from a nickel allergy. More often, women tend to suffer from nickel allergies than men. Allergy treatment can help with the symptoms of a nickel allergy. Unfortunately once the allergy has developed, a person will remain sensitive to nickel for the rest of their life.

Nickel is found in many types of costume jewelry, especially those that are mass-produced. It may also be found in other everyday items like coins, zippers, eyeglass frames, and cellphones.

So why is my mom allergic to nickel, you may ask. For some reason, which science still does not understand, her body has mistaken nickel (or similar metals like cobalt) as a threat. In response to that threat, her body causes an immune response (aka allergic reaction) to get rid of the threat. This reaction causes her to breakout in an itchy rash. But others could have a more severe reaction to nickel.

Now that I knew what was causing my mother’s breakout, I set out to find out which types of jewelry did not contain nickel.

First I looked at gold jewelry. Generally speaking, yellow gold (above 14 karat) will not cause an allergic reaction. However white gold may. White gold alloys contain nickel and other “white” metals to produce its silver coloring. One out of every nine people will react to the nickel in white gold.

Another form of gold jewelry is gold filled or “GF” jewelry. Gold filled jewelry metal is created when a base metal is coated with a layer of gold. Gold filled differs from gold-plated by the amount of gold applied. The layer used in gold filled jewelry is typically 50 to 100 time thicker that the layer used to coat gold-plated products.

Next I looked at silver jewelry. For those who are nickel sensitive, fine silver and sterling silver are great choices for “white” metals.

Fine silver is by definition 99.9% pure silver. Jewelry is generally not made of fine silver because the metal is extremely soft and does not withstand normal wear and tear well.

Most silver jewelry is made using sterling silver. Sterling silver is by definition 92.5% pure silver. In most cases, the remaining 7.5% metal is copper. Copper is infused to harden the silver and make it more durable. I use this type of sterling silver in my jewelry designs it is a great metal for nickel allergic people. Sometimes you can distinguish sterling silver by a “925” mark found on the jewelry. This is common on manufactured pieces, but may not be present on artisan jewelry.

Some other metals that are considered safe for people with nickel allergies are:

Copper – Copper jewelry is generally considered pure and not mixed with nickel or nickel alloys.

Platinum – Platinum jewelry contains 95% platinum and 5% of a secondary metal typically iridium.

Titanium – Titanium jewelry is both hypoallergenic and durable. It is a highly recommended metal for those who suffer from nickel allergies.

Niobium – This is a relatively new metal in the jewelry industry. It is a rare earth metal that can be anodized (naturally coated with beautiful colors). Like titanium, this metal is recommended for nickel allergy sufferers, especially those looking for a pop of color.

Since I have given you a list of safe metals, I thought I would also give you a list of metal terms to watch out for when you are shopping for jewelry.

Fashion or costume jewelry typically has base metals that include nickel. Sometimes these metals are plated; however that plating will wear off over time exposing the skin to the base metals. If you choose a plated metal, remember that it will need to be re-plated regularly.

Some have suggested that brass may be a hypoallergenic option. However my research has suggested that brass is sometimes alloyed with small amounts of nickel or even lead to strengthen the metal.

German silver or nickel silver is a metal to stay away from where jewelry is concerned. German silver does not contain any silver. The silver refers to the silver coloration of the metal. The color is derived from a combination of nickel, zinc, lead, and tin found within the alloy.

Surgical or stainless steel – Surgical grade stainless steel is made to be in the human body. However, the steel alloy contains between eight and twelve percent nickel. I have heard varying reports about how safe this metal is for people with nickel allergies. Since the steel alloy does contain nickel, I would tend to avoid it, but some people swear by it.

If you do buy a piece of jewelry and are concerned that it may contain nickel, commercial test kits are available online. These kits contain chemicals that react in the presence of nickel.

Doing a little research can prevent a nickel allergy attack and still allow you to wear beautiful jewelry.

Advantages of Central Air Conditioners

A central air conditioning system offers many advantages over conventional air conditioning systems. Undoubtedly, central air is one of the most effective and efficient ways to circulate cool air throughout the house in comparison to window air conditioning systems. However, central AC systems offer one major benefit that individual window units can not claim: these systems can improve your indoor air quality.

Centralized units send cool air directly through air ducts or vents located in each room. Each room can be cooled instead of cooling just one room. Ambient air is rolled into the air handler unit from each room through return-air ducts. The system filters the air that passes through it, removing airborne particles, like lint, and allergens, like dust, pollen and pet dander. Filtered air is then re-routed back to the rooms via a separate ductwork system. These systems can even trap the most microscopic pollutants. Obviously, more expensive filters can capture more pollutants and increase the air quality in the home.

But the advantages do not end there. The following are other advantages that central air conditioners have over window air conditioning systems.

  • Central air conditioners make less noise. The condenser, fan and compressor are located in an outdoor unit, instead of in a near window. Indoor noise is barely detectable.
  • Since the working parts are located outside of the home, it is inconspicuous and does not affect the view from outside or within the home. No ugly boxes!
  • The system does not take up any inside space and keeps the home looking modern and updated.
  • They are easy to operate. Whether there is a single zone or multiple zones, the system is conveniently controlled by a simple console that can be programmed to run at certain times and temperatures.
  • It is possible for specialized central air conditioners to operate in a reversed cycle (aka – Heat Pump), to not only cool air, but also pump out hot air. The same system can heat and cool the home in one user-friendly unit.

The upfront costs of central air conditioners may be intimidating, but in the end, the payoff is worth the expense. These systems provide homeowners with many years of comfort. And as a major bonus, central air conditioners add value to the home, which means when it comes to resale, the central air system will be a positive selling feature.

Plastic Surgery and Choosing a Plastic Surgeon

What is Plastic Surgery?

Plastic surgery involves surgical reconstruction of different areas of the body. You may be interested in plastic surgery due to birth defects, disease, burns or for other and more personal cosmetic reasons. A plastic surgeon is a well-defined surgical specialist. The best in the field have completed up to 11 years of combined educational requirements, residency requirements, internship and approved residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery, plus an additional 2 years in actual practice before being board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, the Gold standard in the plastic surgery field. This is the public’s assurance that they are dealing with one of the best plastic surgeons available.

Plastic surgery can help improve the way you look and enhance your original features. Whether you are looking to have plastic surgery because of birth defects or for personal reasons, the results can boost your self confidence, build your self esteem and provide you with an entirely different outlook on life. There are many options that can improve your life and correct disfigurements or enhance your appearance. Some of the more commonly popular plastic surgery procedures are Breast Augmentation, Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), Liposuction for Body Lifts, Arm Lifts, etc., facial surgeries such as Face Lifts and Rhinoplasty, as well as nonsurgical procedures like Botox injections.

Additionally some of the newer technologies are allowing us to do intricate female surgeries such as correcting vaginal relaxation using Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation procedures. This was typically a surgery only available through conventional methods until recently. By utilizing laser technology and laser surgical techniques, a plastic surgeon trained and certified in these techniques can eliminate the risks inherent with invasive conventional surgical methods, meaning less blood loss as lasers are self-cauterizing, less risk of infection and complications, virtually no hospital time and much quicker recovery times.

Choosing A Plastic or Cosmetic Surgeon

Here are some questions to help you choose a high quality plastic or cosmetic surgeon.

1. Are you Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons?

This should be the very first question you ask. There is much public confusion about certification and there are many different certifications available, for instance, state certification. However, to ensure you are getting the highest qualified plastic surgeon available, certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons is the designation you are seeking. They are the only board for instance, that can certify in both plastic and reconstructive surgery.

2. Find out who will be assisting your plastic surgeon during your procedure:

There are many people needed as a support team for your surgery to go smoothly and limit the chances of any complications. Typically, your support team will include trained nursing staff, an anesthesiologist, recovery room nursing staff, and any other technicians or support needed for your particular procedure. Find out what and who they are and their qualifications.

3. Where will my surgery be performed?

While some plastic surgery procedures may be performed in the cosmetic surgeon’s office, most require hospitalization or a surgical care center. Be sure and ask about the facilities where you will be having surgery and if those facilities are accredited or certified by the appropriate agencies.

4. What are the potential risks or side effects of my plastic surgery procedure?

Every surgery carries the potential of risk, for instance excessive blood loss, infection, or other complications that may be unforeseen or that can occur. Though very rare with modern day plastic surgery techniques, they can occur, and when they happen it can mean you require additional surgery that will place an added financial risk or burden on you. Find out what these risks are. Dr. Vu, for instance, is the only Portland plastic surgeon that has been approved by CosmetAssure. CosmetAssure is basically complications insurance, and provides Dr. Vu’s patients with an additional layer of financial protection should that rare complication occur. A cosmetic surgeon approved for CosmetAssure carries the highest credentials, a spotless surgical record and possesses the highest surgical skills.

5. How long is the Recovery Time for my procedure?

Find out, every procedure varies, but knowing ahead of time will help you plan for time off work or arrange for any additional home service help you may need.

7. What type of Anesthesia should you choose?

Anesthesia is always one of the larger risks of any type of surgery and there are basically 3 types. A local anesthesia which is very low risk and primarily only used during low risk, low invasive office procedures, an IV sedation, referred to as “twilight sleep” and general anesthesia. The choice is typically left up to the patient for the latter 2, but you need to know the risks associated with each, and the cosmetic surgeon can make a recommendation to you depending upon any additional personal risks you have, such as smoking, medications you’re currently taking, etc. Be sure and cover this topic thoroughly.

8. What do past patients have to say about this particular plastic surgeon?

The fastest way to know about a plastic surgeon is by reputation, and the thing that builds (or ruins) a plastic surgeon’s reputation faster than anything is the testimonials or recommendations from existing patients. Your cosmetic surgeon should either have a good sampling of testimonials on their website, or be able to show them to you if you ask. If the plastic surgeon you are contemplating using hasn’t received cards and letters of thanks, odds are you won’t be sending them one either. If at all possible, find out if prior patients are happy with their surgery results, as well as the personality of the attending plastic surgeon themselves.

I hope you have found this information on plastic surgery useful.

Eliminate Destructive Marketing Competitors and Gain Constructive Competitors

When you are trying to break into a new niche, you might ask yourself at some point, "Does this niche have too much competition?" That is the wrong question to ask. Any experienced marketer or copywriter will tell you that having competition in a niche is a very good thing. If a niche has no competitors, that niche most likely will not make you any money. Having an established competitor in a niche means someone has already done all the hard work … figuring out if there is a market, if people are interested in it, and on top of all that, if it is actually profitable.

If you think your niche has too many competitors, you can cut into specific niches or create tailored reports. I knew a guy who sold a special report about making money by investing in metal mining companies. That niche started to get crowded, so he wrote a book about investing in silver mining companies, and another in gold mining companies, and so on.

As for tailored reports, I have another friend who recently wrote a guide on time management specifically for internet marketers. He wanted to joint venture with a couple of experts in similar fields such as personal development, so he tailor the report just for that joint venture partner. He added more information about self-help and personal growth, and removed the more technical stuff.

Also remember that, as long as you are not a direct threat to your competition, you can become each others' affiliates. Let's say you sold a guide about how to setup a WordPress blog quickly and easily, you could contact someone with a guide on how to write WordPress plugins. The WordPress setup guy tells his list about the WordPress plugin product and gets a commission. The WordPress plugin guy tells his list about the WordPress setup product and gets a commission. Both people win.

Finally, do not underestimate the power of pre-education to help your sales. Do you think a guide about how to make money on foreclosures would sold as well ten years ago as it would today? What about guides on blogging or podcasting? The internet and the news media does the hard work of training the common people about things that need to know, and you only need to sell them the solution.

Your niche may have competition, but so what? You can beat that problem with specific niches and tailor reports, make competitors into affiliates, and use pre-education to capitalize on needs people are already talking about.

The Stoa of Attalos

In front of us, to the east, rises the marble facade of the Stoa presented by Attalos II, King of Pergamon, 159-138 BC, to the city of Athens in which he had studied as a youth. The building was restored in the years 1953-56 by the American School of Classical Studies on the original foundations and in keeping with the original design. In addition to its historical interest the building is an excellent example of the stoa type of architecture in its full development. The basic element in the design is the twoaisled colonnade of the ground floor. This is repeated in the upper storey with nice variations in scale and architectural detail. These colonnades provided spacious promenades where hundreds of citizens might stroll especially in the morning hours before the sun penetrated the western front of the building. The promenade was augmented by a broad terrace that ran the whole length of the Stoa. From this terrace as well as from the two floors of the building proper one enjoyed always a lively outlook on the busy square, and on festival days one commanded a perfect view of the processes moving upward on the Panathenaic Way. Behind the colonnades on each of the two floors opened twenty one square rooms most if not all of which were undoly shops.

In front of the Stoa at its midpoint may be seen the foundations of a bema or speaker's platform of Hellenistic date from which orators addressed large gatherings in the open square. To the south of the bema have been set up the surviving fragments of the epistyle of the Stoa which reserve the name of its donor Attalos. We now enter the Stoa, as in antiquity, near its south end, and as we enter we note to the right the ancient fragments that have been incorporated in the reconstruction of the facade, as well as the ancient steps and extensive remnants of the end and back walls that had survived in place.

The Stoa was reconstructed not only to illustrate an important type of Greek architecture but also to house the finds from the excavation of the Agora. All the material from the current excavation as well as the relevant records, and some outstanding finds from earlier exploration are now to be found in this building. A representative selection is accessible to the public.

Within the colonnades of the Stoa are displayed much of the sculpture and some of the inscriptions found in the Agora. Note especially on the ground floor the statue of Apollo Patrons, the personifications of the Iliad and Odyssey, a great female figure of Good Fortune that once stood in front of the Royal Stoa, a statue of Nike (Victory) from the Stoa of Zeus and , in front of an interior column, a law against tyranny passed in 336 BC. Several of the ancient shops on the ground floor have been restored to house special exhibits; Particularly interesting is the display of ancient wine jars in the fourth room from the south. Ten of the shops in the mid part of the building have been thrown together to form a long gallery in which is shown a selection of the finds from the excavation. This material illustrated the history of Athenian private life, arts and crafts from the Neolithic to the Turkish period. It includes also many examples of the equipment used in civic life such as a waterblock and bronze ballots from the lawcourts, some of the inscribed potsherds (ostraka) thatave their name to ostracism, standard weights and measures from the Tholos.

1. An Alternative Grill

Barbecues need time to get heated up and ready for grilling. An iron can act as an emergency grill while you’re craving a delightful grilled sandwich. It’s DIY and too easy. Ready up your sandwich and wrap it up in square shaped aluminum foil on the top and bottom. Keep the hot iron on your sandwich for about 10 minutes. Then, flip over the sandwich and place the iron on the other side for another 10. You’ve just grilled yourself a yummy sandwich.

2. The Plastic Sealer

You might at some point need to seal polythene or plastic bags for various reasons. You may want to laminate some valuable papers. You may even need to pack some of your stuff in a plastic bag. Whatever be the case, an iron can help. Cover the end of plastic you want to seal with foil, and work the iron carefully over the foil only. The plastic melts with heat and becomes sealed. You can remove the foil afterwards.

3. Wallpaper Remover

Wallpapers look great on walls. What about the stubborn pieces of paper left when you remove wallpaper? That’s too ugly. Your cloth iron can help you get rid of this. Let’s learn how. Set your iron to steam mode and heat it up. Keep this hot iron at a slight distance from the wall. This creates soggy conditions around the paper. The heat from the steam loosens up the glue, and the moisture gets rid of the stubbornness of paper.

4. Cleaning up a Wax Mess

So you had a great candle lit dinner or just a gorgeous candle night. Check your surroundings. You might just have spilled a few drops of wax that refused not to stick. How to get rid of this wax stain with your iron, once again coming to the rescue. Cover the stain with foil and place the heated iron over it. Wax cleaning doesn’t get easier than this.

5. Dent Free Your Floors

After spending a fortune on the most expensive and attractive wood floors in your house, you don’t want to see dents left by foot traffic, accidents, or furniture. What’s the solution? Cover up the dented spot with foil and run your iron over it. The dent will disappear, and you’re done fixing your floor.

6. Remove Water Stains on Wood

Water is the enemy of wooden crafts. Water may sometimes leave a very unpleasant mark on our wooden furniture, floors, and other wooden stuff. Your cloth iron, again, gets some work there. Cover up the water stain on your wood with a cloth and run the iron over it at the lowest temperature. The heat that the iron transfers to the wood makes it moisture free.

7. Preserve Flowers

Flowers are gorgeous. They can also be a token of love. So when you receive that love in the form of bouquets, you may want to preserve not just the feeling of affection but the physical token you’ve been given. Would you believe me if I said an iron could do that too? Keep your flowers between a couple of pieces of wax paper and place some weight on it. After some time, put a paper towel over it and run the dry iron over it. The flowers are safe for a long time now.
