How to Clean After Toilet Flooding

Water damage to your bathroom after a toilet overflows can be incredibly dirty and difficult to deal with. Only cleaning what the eye can see can lead to mold, mildew and an overall unhealthy environment to live with. The smell alone can be hard to get rid of if the clean up effort is not done in a thorough manner. How would you clean after toilet flooding? Some steps to take in assuring that the water damage clean up is successful are as follows.

Stop the overflow and observe the surroundings to see if there is any raw sewage on the floor or walls. If there is be certain to wear protective clothing such as waterproof boots, gloves, and possibly a mask to help alleviate any fumes being inhaled.

Find out the reason for the flooding. If you see any sewage it is probable that there is a clog in the pipes. This can be due to many things such as too much debris when there are leaky or cracked pipes or something as simple as an obstruction blocking the flow of water. If you cannot find the issue yourself you may have to call a plumber just to be sure.

You are going to need some sort of absorbent material to soak up the excess water. Once you have accomplished that, the chore of picking up any waste from the surrounding area is next. You can do this manually or with some sort of suction instrument that is specifically used for sewage. The latter is recommended if possible.

Disinfecting the floors and walls if need be should be done with a powerful detergent that is specific to the material you are cleaning. Bleach should also be used but make sure there is ventilation. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions on measurements and precautions. If you are dealing with rugs these should be taken out and properly cleaned due to sewage. Wall to wall carpet should really be replaced all together but if this is not possible the padding definitely does. Even then the carpet itself should be cleaned by a professional.

Use a dehumidifier to ensure that even the smallest amount of moisture remaining under the floors, behind the walls or in the grout is eliminated. This is very important so that any smells will not occur.

All of this needs to be done before you can think about replacing any materials or carpet.

The Best Rug Pads For Hardwood Floors

When a rug is on a hardwood floor, it is important to have the right rug pad underneath. The floor can experience damage from rug scratches and furniture indentations and the dense pad will prevent this from happening. The best rug pads for hardwood floors are ones that are either a solid felt or a felt and natural rubber combination.

When a rug is walked on, there is pressure to push through the rug and hit the floor. A quality rug pad will act as a barrier between the carpet and the floor to prevent any scratching from the back of the rug to the floor. Therefore, the carpet pad should be solid as opposed to one with holes in it. The more solid and dense the pad, the better the protection to the hardwood floor.

For rugs that do not tend to slip, a 100% felt jute pad is excellent. This is dense enough to protect the floor from scratches and indentations. Make sure that the felt rug pad is a 40 ounce, referring to the amount of fiber there is per square yard of pad. The higher the ounce, the more dense the carpet pad. If the rug tends to slip, then a felt and natural rubber rug pad is ideal. Here, the key is to make sure it is natural rubber as opposed to the chemical sprays that look and feel like rubber but actually could severely harm the floor.

I hear many people tell me that their pad stuck to their floor and it cost them a lot of money to re-finish the floor. The type of pad that does this is an open weave waffle looking pad. It may look and feel like rubber but it actually is a plastic or nylon pad that has a chemical spray applied to it. This chemical is what transfers to the floor and leaves an imprint of the rug pad right on the floor. Real rubber does not harm the floor and a felt and natural rubber carpet pad will prevent slipping and protect the floor.

It is always best to buy a solid pad when it comes to any hardwood or wood floor. Take care in making sure that if it is a 100% felt pad, the felt is recycled without any chemicals or adhesives. If it is a non slip felt and rubber rug pad you need, make sure the rubber is actually a natural rubber and not a rubber like substance that can harm the floor.

New Homemade Carp Boilie Recipe Information Revealed Plus Expert Enzyme-Active Bait Tips!

Look at the many common ingredients used by bait companies and realise that these can all be danger reference points to fish hooked on these or have experienced their brethren being hooked on these. No matter what the food value of any bait, if it is perceived a threat fish will either feed more cautiously in its presence, or actively avoid consuming it.

Think about the numbers of carp waters where washed out boilies seem to be the form that fish prefer to actually feed on! Think about why so many boiled baits are not taken quickly. Instead of fresh baits being taken on first introduction, you may have situations where carp are rolling over your baits but not picking them up. The fish are feeding on your baits, but the fish are in reality filtration feeding on the dissolved substances releasing from them (and feeding in this way in total safety!)

Fish in highly-pressured lakes will wait until fresh baits are beginning to be pre-digested by microbial organisms in the lake bed sediment etc before consuming them with total confidence. So you must think seriously about making your baits energy-efficient as possible by making your baits as enzyme-active as possible!

Such wary big fish will definitely feed on baits if they are broken down and not in whole round form. I found this for years comparing fishing over intact boiled or steamed baits and broken down baits. In the end I opted for fast-steamed hook baits and un-cooked PVA baits and un-cooked free baits.

My entire fishing thinking and dynamics of baiting strategies changed. And my results also changed. More big fish, faster; much faster, without the long-term build-up of establishing a food bait. I fish in the moment one fish at a time, one pick-up at a time and use the best of what I know that truly optimises baits for internal and external activities ultimately in maximizing feeding responses in real time, right now.

Life is too short for any other approach. I spent 25 years using countless HNV and BNV food baits and found my own new approach which is naturally instant, evolving it over the course of a further 10 years. It is based purely on testing and how fish evolved and upon exploiting dynamics and substances, processes and combinations and certain what some might consider, extreme levels of certain (natural) components that naturally trigger feeding the most irresistibly.

The common components of very many readymade boilies can be listed and then removed methodically from your own baits. This may sound strange but when you realise that common materials used in food baits can in actuality be danger reference signals and also represent nutrients and other factors that due to the volumes being introduced, carp actually do not require!

So trying removing various most commonly-used components and replacing them with new, rare, unique, never used previously ingredients, additives, extracts, liquid combinations and levels etc. Be as unique in your creative process as possible. For instance use fennel essential oil instead of aniseed. Use multiple forms of intense sweeteners in very low levels instead of just one or two. Use multiple palatants and blend them to create new unique blends.

Do this for flavours and essential oils, esters, and any other substances and see how they blend together and act when immersed in water. How well do your blends work the entire water column from the bottom to the surface?

Try cutting the amount off egg you use and substitute it entirely, especially for free baits. Imagine how much more soluble and digestible your baits will be without eggs. How many eggs can you eat at one time? Think out of the box of what has always been done! Being different has always been a massive edge in big carp fishing. The readymade bait marketing industry so often tries to funnel your thinking in a single group mindset of how things should be done!

This leads to most people all doing the same things, thinking the same things and catching the same average amount of fish! Aim to be exceptional and do not settle for average numbers of fish. You can genuinely catch four times as many fish with enough knowledge of homemade bait design! You can achieve staggering levels of stimulation built purposely within your own unique baits compared to average commercial food boilie baits!

The difference in catch-results between superior homemade baits and standard fish meal and carbohydrate bulked-out readymade baits can truly be enormous! How Many Industry Sectors Rely on Adhesives? The Short Answer is Almost All of Them

You probably could have guessed that on your own, but what's more interesting is how each industry uses adhesives. The following lists some of the less visible applications in use all around us.

Ground transportation –

In the rail and vehicle industries, adhesives are used to bond multiple parts of the electric motors that power mirrors, windows, brake systems and the like. They are used for gasketing internal combustion engines, sealing hydraulic lines, coating electrical connections, attaching accessories and trims – just to name a few areas.

Aerospace –

From Boeing to NASA, in the Piper Cub as well as in the space shuttle, the applications for adhesives are much like the ground transport industry. Adhesives offer the advantage of lowering the weight of finished components by replacing mechanical fasteners or when used as an alternative to welding.

Medical –

Adhesives bring precision assembly capabilities to the manufacture of medical devices. It's not at all uncommon for a surgical tool to be assembled without a single screw or bolt. Disposable devices that contact blood or other body fluids are routinely bonded with adhesives to form strong, trustworthy bonds and seals.

Electronic –

Take a close look at your cell phone or PDA and you are likely to discover there are no screws to be seen anywhere. This is the first evidence of the use of adhesives in electronics manufacturing. Inside electronic devices of all types, adhesives are used as coatings for wiring and offer low temperature alternatives to traditional soldering. We're sure most people do not know that a CD or DVD is made up by layering plastics with other materials and securing them with adhesives.

Utilities –

Adhesives are used to prevent leaks in the piping systems that deliver gas, oil and water to homes and factories. Advances in chemistry offer highly effective replacements to traditional sealing methods using tapes, caulks, wax or clay. There are special formulas used for repair of some gas lines and flexible, water repellent varieties for sealing electrical connections.

Defense –

Military defense systems worldwide readily on the strength and versatility of adhesives to safely and securely bond, coat and seal materials. Guns, goggles, radio equipment, gas masks, helmets, even the bullets benefit from the features of structural adhesive chemistry. Whether replacing welding with stronger and lighter adhesive bonding, or permitting the joining of dissimilar materials for precision equipment, many industrial adhesives are approved for military use. Contact the manufacturer for their list of Mil-spec products.

Your Industry?

We have shown that most industries out there use adhesives in some form. The increase in their use is the direct result of a global drive towards efficiency and quality and cost reduction. Adhesives can lower the weight of finished goods and in turn affects the shipping rates for transporting the goods. Their use can improve production, reduce waste, and often can contribute to workplace safety through the use of solvent free formulas.

It’s All about Adhesives – Various Adhesives for your Scrapbooking Projects

If you’re like me, you’re probably overwhelmed with the wide variety of adhesive products on the market for scrapbooking! It seems as if there is a special adhesive for adhering just about anything. This is why I though I would give you a quick overview of what is out there and what it’s used for:

Ø Glue stick – Very basic adhesive for scrapbooking is a glue stick. It’s very inexpensive and goes a long way. That is the pro side of it. The con side is the sticky finger part, which is not exactly an advantage when using it to glue photos. If you get it on top of the photo, you will not be able to remove it. It’s fine for adhering paper punches and similar embellishments.

Ø Glue dots – These dots are fabulous! I The dots are transparent and come in all different sizes and have various levels of thickness (for a 3D effect). I use them to adhere buttons, ribbons, photos, flowers, metal embellishments, letters, etc. Make sure that you don’t try to peel the dot off of the paper. Take whatever you would like to stick and push onto the dot and it will automatically peel itself off and stick to your embellishment or photo.

Ø Glue pens – these come in handy for very tiny embellishments or for reattaching little areas that have come unglued.

Ø Diamond Glaze – This is a water-based dimensional adhesive, one of my favorites! You can apply it directly on top of just about anything for a raised glass-like finish or diluted with some water for a lacquer-like finish, or use for adhering glitter, beads, glass, vellum and plastic. I like to punch out small colourful circles and stamp with a mini stamp, then I use pure diamond glaze and cover it 3-4 times, waiting for the last layer to dry before I put on the next. Then I wait about 24 hours and viola, I have created my own special embellishment! This glue is extremely strong and quick drying, so be careful where you put it.

Ø 3D Foam Tape – I love this stuff too, because I’m also fanatic about making things “pop” from the page. You can use it for just about anything, but it’s especially effective if you want to make a shaker box.

Ø Liquid Glue – This adhesive goes on clear and dries clear and gives a smooth and even coverage. Make sure you purchase the acid-free kind though, such as TOMBOW Mono Aqua Liquid Glue. It’s best used on paper and cardboard.

Ø Permanent Adhesive Runner – I love to use these runner adhesives on photos, for paper, ribbons and other light weigh embellishments. If you like quick, then the runner is for you. They are a little bit pricy as compared to a regular glue stick, but it’s very clean, fast and very easy to use. My absolute favourite adhesive! I use TOMBOW Mono Adhesive permanent.

Ø Non-permanent Adhesive Runner – This is the same type of adhesive as just described about, except it’s non-permanent. So, if you want to play around with your layout ideas, this is just the thing to have. It saves you from having accidents. You can also use it to affix cardstock and patterned paper for instance to keep it in place for sewing on the layout.

Ø Vellum Runner Adhesive – Same as above, except this runner adhesive is especially made for adhering vellum as it is for the most part invisible.

Ø Xyron – Xyron is an adhesive inside of a Xyron machine that will attach a sticky side to the bottom of any item that you run through it. There are a wide variety of sizes and types of adhesive if offers and it works without heat. It can be used for almost any type of flat embellishment, paper or photo.

Ø Photo adhesive – This are double-sided sticky squares that are on a dispenser and can easily and quickly be applied to your photos and can be used for cardstock or embellishments as well. This is one of the less expensive adhesives and very clean to use.

So, now you have an idea of the variety of adhesives available and what you can use them for. I’m sure I have not mentioned all of them, but these are basic scrapbooking adhesives. Other ways to adhere embellishments, etc. are to use brads, eyelets, staples or sewing. I hope this article is helpful to you. Now, go out there and “stick” to your scrapbooking!

Welding Jobs: Ideas You Can Use At Home To Make Money Welding (No Boss While You Make $100,000)

What if you could make $100,000 a year welding from home?

What if you could make even an extra $500 a month from home, using your current skills? If you are a welder with basic welding skills and you are between jobs or you are being under paid in your current job, it might be worth your time to read this article – let’s think outside the box for just a minute on how you can make money welding from home.

From Home Welding # 1:

Teaching or tutoring any skill is a very profitable business. In any town of any size you’ll see at least one tutoring business in a strip mall brick and mortar location. In that same town will be at least a dozen other tutors working from home, making good money.

Yes, most of the time they are tutoring math and reading to students. Lean back and think about what skills you have that can also be used in a tutoring business you can set up and milk cash from, like milk from a cow.

Let’s say you are good enough with TIG to weld razor blades or pop can butts.

If you can teach a non welder to operate a TIG torch good enough to go on and practice on their own at their home in about 3 hours of your hands on theirs – they will pay up to $100 an hour for 3 hours of TIG instruction. Just 2 students a day would bring you $100,000 a year. If you think I’m kidding I’m NOT! There are many reasons why education is so valuable – and that includes intense, focused tutoring in welding.

6G pipe welding is the highest paid of all welding certifications – most 6G welders make $100k to $300k a year – and demand is crazy. However, if you are a 6G welder and you want to stay home, you can set up and teach 6G in your garage. Let’s say you do this with 7 students, each paying you $10,000 for a 3 month course. Yes, they will pay it – especially if you show them how they will have more time with your hand on theirs (the #1 secret to learning 6G fast).

From Home Welding # 2:

I was in Palm Springs the other day. I have been in and around the trades for 30 years… and when you see a tradesman’s truck and it is late model without dents or many scratches, clean, organized and well equipped, it means (99% of the time) that guy is making money.

I pulled up to a light behind just such a truck – “Joe’s BBQ Service and Repair.” That’s it – that is all Joe does. He will weld cast aluminum or steel. He’ll clean and polish. He’ll replace a burner or a control. OR he’ll buy your old unit and sell / or sell you a new one.

Yes, you need a town with a lot of high end BBQs. Other than that, go get it.

From Home Welding # 3:

Large steel cut outs. In art of all kinds, size matters. For example, 20 years ago we purchased two 4′ long coat racks – each is a piece of 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 1/8″ angle 4′ long with 6 horse shoes welded to the angle to hang the coats.

On the horizontal surface of the angle is welded a scene made of 7 horse and 7 tree cut-outs. We paid $185 for each of these 20 years ago… that would be about $300 a piece in today’s dollars.

The problem with you making these is that the 14 cut outs on each unit are too small too many to cut by hand – you need a computerized plasma table to make these.

Here is where the magic of size makes all the difference.

The artist who drew the cut outs on our coat rack was good. Each of the 7 horses is different and beautiful, as well as the trees. Any – or all of these – cut outs can be scaled up with chalk onto a sheet of say 4′ x 8′ x 3/16″ steel. Now, all you need is a plasma or an oxy torch to create the large version.

What would a horse cut from a 4′ x 8′ sheet sell for?

$300 to $700. It would depend on where you are and how you market it. Marketing is a large part of any business. Good marketing is not hard – you can do it.

You can see, if you could get a “business pipe” full of inventory and sales and you were delivering 2 horses a day, you could easily make $100k. The other major opportunity with big cut outs is gates. The key to all of this stuff in the art category is beautiful line drawings. If you are not an artist, hire one on the condition that they sign the copyright to you.

There are endless ideas to utilize even your most basic welding skills from home to make an excellent living or just extra money. The trick is:

Step A:

Find what will work best for you.

Step B:

Write out a simple plan of attack. Don’t put the cart before the horse. Many small businesses fail because the owner gets all wrapped up in the details and loses site of what is important. Here is what is important: Don’t spend money – MAKE MONEY!

Step C:

The first rule of business is to GET NOTICED. That is also the end goal of all marketing – once you have enough eyeballs on you, you will succeed. The common mistake is to leave marketing for last while concentrating on every little rule and piece of paper. A business license will do you no good if you don’t make money! Save your money and get it (if you really need one) when you make some money. Towns and cities will simply say, “do you have a business license?” When they ask, say: “I’m getting one now.”

You are blessed to live in a country where you can go from nothing to something in a hurry. However, to get anywhere in a hurry requires running hard. You’ll never regret it.

What should you do next?

The Golden Ratio and Feng Shui Help to Harmonize Homes

In this article, we will explain the golden section (ratio, mean), and describe its use in conjunction with feng shui to improve homes and apartments.

One of the most ardent fans of the golden ratio was Pythagoras – an ancient Greek philosopher, mathematician, scientist, and mystic, who lived in Greece in the VI century BC. Pythagoras was convinced that there is harmony in nature, which can be expressed through numbers and proportions. He was also convinced that these proportions can be used in home design and architecture. Using his theory of proportion, you can “move” the energy in the house from where it serves poorly to where it will start serving favorably.

Pythagoras declared certain proportional relationships, which he considered ideal. He called it the Golden mean/ratio/rectangle. This value is 1:1.618. This value is found everywhere in nature. One example can be a shell, where each part is identical to the other parts by form. Although these parts differ in size, they have the same proportions.

The golden ratio can also be found in the human body. The famous drawing by Leonardo da Vinci – the Vitruvian Man – relates the proportions of the human body with various geometric figures, and is a good example of the described ratio.

The Golden section is a tool that is available to everyone, and that can be used in your home to improve its influence on those who live there. To define this number for any room, do as follows: measure the width of the room and multiply it by 1.618. Thus, you will get the desired length for this area. For example, if the width of the room is 20 feet, multiply 20 by 1.618 and you will get 32.36 feet for the desired length of this room. There’s no need to follow the resulting number to the inch – it will suffice if you follow it approximately.

The principle of the golden mean can be used in one-room studio apartments that consist of one large room with a kitchen, office, and bedroom, all in one room. Feng-shui of such apartments is usually very poor. However, if you own a studio apartment, do not despair! Just follow the basic principles of space organization, make the necessary adjustments, and you will be able to improve everything. The studio can be divided into several golden rectangles, so that each part is proportional.

If it’s a long and narrow space, you can use flowers and furniture as a room divider. If you don’t want to divide the room this way, you can use items that correspond to the golden proportion by their dimensions, such as mirrors, paintings, coffee tables, or aquariums. You can use the same rules for garden landscape design. The golden ratio and feng shui can help to improve any home, garden, office, as well as any other area.

7 Myths About Jelqing – Does Jelqing Really Work for Enlarging the Penis?

More and more guys are learning about the jelqing technique for enlarging the penis. While jelqing becomes more popular, more jelqing myths begin to surface.

Does jelqing really work for enlarging the penis? Jelqing does have it’s enlargement benefits, but men should be aware of the following myths:

Myth 1 – Jelqing doesn’t work. Let’s get this out of the way, right away. While there are a number of people who will regard jelqing as not legitimate, there ae hordes of males who have reported positive results using this technique. My observations have been with guys on fitness forums who have a history of posting good information and very useful techniques. Along comes questions regarding the jelqing technique, and these same males report success in regards to achieving enlargement results. There are too many guys who swear by the technique to flat out discount it as not working.

Myth 2 – Jelqing will get you “super huge”. Having said the above, jelqing is not a magic bullet that will balloon you into super-size status. Many guys get the impression that jelqing will provide huge size results. This tends to be a myth. A good way to put it is that with jelqing you may be able to go from small to average, or from average to above average. Now this can make a huge visual difference in your size. It just won’t make an over the top visual difference.

Myth 3 – Jelqing doesn’t work because I tried it for 2 weeks and didn’t see any results. This is a common myth. Trying the jelq exercise for a few weeks and then claiming it doesn’t work. While some guys do see some gains after a few weeks, for most it takes longer. Many good jelqing programs consist of 8-12 week routines. The key to size gains is both patience and persistence.

Myth 4 – Jelqing plus pumps will get you the quickest results. Wrong! Many guys believe that combining jelqing with other techniques, such as penis pumps, will get you the quickest results possible, since you are doing two things at once. This is akin to overtraining. Doing more doesn’t lead to faster results. It actually leads to increase risk and will hamper any results from occurring at all.

Myth 5 – You need to jelq for an hour at a time. This is an old myth, perhaps started by guys who studied ancient tribes who apparently had engaged in jelqing as part of ritual and their routines are sometimes said to be long and enduring. Well, it’s been a long time since then, and now the majority of jelq routines are actually very short, some even under 10 minutes long. Guys have found ways to make the exercise work as well as possible, in the shortest amount of time possible.

Myth 6 – The jelq is limited and one dimensional, and you will burn out on the routine easily. While the standard jelq technique can get “boring”, it certainly isn’t one dimensional. There are many variations to jelqing. Most guys are only familiar with the basic technique, which is thumb and forefinger wrapped around the base of the semi-erect penis, while slowly massaging up towards the head and repeating with the other hand. While this is the common starter method, it is but one jelq technique. On top of that, there are a whole slew of various stretching exercises that are used alongside of jelqing.

Myth 7 – Jelqing needs to be done every single day. This is another myth that plays on the notion of “more is better”. In fact, every good jelqing program out there will recommend you take at least 2 days off during the week. I believe as jelq techniques become more advanced, there will be routines that will allow even more days off during the week, while still experiencing size results. While jelqing needs to be consistent, to be effective and safe it needs to have numerous rest days for the duration of a program.

Advantages of Automatic Chlorine Feeders for Residential Swimming Pools

The two most common methods for adding chlorine to residential swimming pools are pouring liquid chlorine into the pool and putting 3-inch chlorine tablets to a chlorine floater to slowly dissolve. These methods have been used for decades in backyard pools and will surely be used well into the future. But another method that is gaining popularity in recent years is the automatic chlorine feeder.

Automatic chlorine feeders are high capacity containers that hold 2 to 3 times as many 3-inch chlorine tablets when compared to most traditional chlorine floaters. They are simple to install into the existing pool equipment plumbing and come in two different styles.

In Line Chlorine Feeders – this style of chlorine feeder is plumbed directly into the 1 1/2 or 2 inch PVC pipes at the main pool equipment pad. This involves actually cutting the PVC pipes and re-plumbing the feeder into the existing plumbing.

Off Line Chlorine Feeders – off line chlorine feeders work using the water pressure from the main pool equipment plumbing, but are not plumbed directly into the 1 1/2 or 2 inch PVC plumbing. Instead they use the water pressure from the main plumbing to divert water through a 3/8-inch tubing, into the feeder, and then back into the plumbing line after it is chlorinated.

Using an automatic chlorine feeder in a residential swimming pool offers several advantages.

Easier to Control the Amount of Chlorine Added to the Pool Water – adding chlorine by pouring liquid into the pool or keeping tablets in a floater both leave a lot of room for improvement on controlling the amount of chlorine added to the pool water. Automatic chlorine feeders have a regulation valve that makes it easy to either increase or decrease the quantity of chlorine added to the water as it flows through the feeder. So depending on the chlorine demand of the pool throughout the year, a simple adjustment by the pool owner or service technician is all it takes to make a change.

Handle Chlorine Less Often – depending on the capacity of the feeder, it will hold as much as 6 lbs of chlorine tablets. That amount of chlorine can last several weeks in most residential sized swimming pools. It’s always a good thing to minimize the frequency of handling chlorine or any other pool chemical.

Floater Free Pool – removing the chlorine floater from the pool eliminates a couple of different associated risks. First, young children are attracted to the floaters and have a tendency to treat them like toys, putting the children at risk of accidentally handling the harsh chemical. Secondly, if a chlorine tablet falls out of the floater and ends up sitting on the bottom of the pool for any length of time, it will damage the plaster.

Less Frequent Trips to the Pool Store – a typical pool owner can only store so much liquid chlorine at the house, usually only 1 case at a time which might only last 2 to 3 weeks. Then it’s back to the pool store to re-supply. Chorine in 3-inch tablet form comes in 50 lb buckets that can last up to 6 months to a year. This means fewer trips to the pool store and savings on gas and time.

Vacation Without Worry – with a chlorine feeder installed, leaving the pool unattended for extended periods of time, like a long vacation, becomes more realistic. Some feeders hold up to 6 lbs of chlorine tabs that can last several weeks or more depending on the season.

Installing a chlorine feeder can be a great choice for many residential swimming pools. The feeders sell for under $100 and installation is pretty straightforward. Considering all its advantages, adding an automatic chlorine feeder is definitely worth the small investment.

How to Replace the Starter on a Jeep Cherokee

The Jeep Cherokee starter will sometimes fail with very little warning. I have had to change them in store parking lots, driveways and most recently in front of my son’s apartment. Using this simple procedure you can get your Jeep running again quickly and possibly avoid a towing bill.

For most people, there is plenty of room to get access the starter without even jacking up the Jeep. In fact, not jacking it up makes it easier to get the starter past the control arm when removing it from the engine bay.

Remove the negative battery cable

Remove 8MM nut that holds the starter trigger wire to the solenoid.

Remove the lower mounting bolt. Note this is an SAE bolt with 9/16 head. It goes in from the front of the starter.

Remove the upper bolt. This one is metric with a 15 MM head that goes in from the transmission side.

Remove the starter and lower it enough to remove the battery cable from the terminal. This is a 13MM.

To install the new starter, first install the battery cable in place and move the trigger wire out of the way.

Position the starter so that it indexes into the hole in the backing plate. Start the upper bolt but do not tighten. This is the shorter metric one.

Start the lower bolt (longer SAE one) and make sure the starter is aligned properly with the hole in the backing plate. Tighten the bolts.

Attach the trigger wire and tighten the nut.

Reattach the battery cable.

After everything is back in place, you can turn the key and start up your Jeep. Be sure to reset your clock and radio presets that you loose by disconnecting the battery.

Deficiency Judgments

How does one avoid a deficiency judgment? Is my lender going to come after me with a potential deficiency judgment? Is a foreclosure deficiency judgment the same as a short sale deficiency judgment? What effect does bankruptcy have on avoiding deficiency judgments? How do I negotiate with my lender to avoid a deficiency judgment if I decide to short sale my home? Are there attorneys who will negotiate me out of a deficiency judgment if I short sale my home? Do all lenders enforce deficiency judgments? Are Bank of America, Ocwen, EMC mortgage, Chase, Wells fargo, Saxon all enforcing deficiency judgments?

OK, some answers. Yes the banks are seeking deficiency judgments. If you allowed a foreclosure on your property to take place instead of short selling the property, you had no control whatsoever over the matter. This is why we plead with clients to short sale the property and get a good short sale attorney to represent you to avoid the deficiency judgment at the time of the transaction. There are attorneys that work with “good” short sale real estate agents that will do this for you for NOTHING. They actually charge your lender at the closing table on the HUD-1 for their services and YOU PAY NOTHING.

Lets talk a bit about short sale vs foreclosure. First of all when you allow foreclosure it damages your ability to borrow mortgage money much much more than a short sale. The new underwriting rules show clearly that a foreclosure will prevent you from borrowing for 5 years. This will be after the “smart money 2012″ bottom. A short sale will only give you a two year time out, just in time to buy in the 2012 proverbial residential real estate bottom. All speculation of course, but you certainly want options as soon as possible.

The difference between a foreclosure deficiency judgment and a short sale deficiency judgment is control. In a short sale you have the ability to negotiate with the lender, and if you or your short sale attorney or your very good short sale Realtor are diligent and make a good argument at the appropriate time in the negotiation process you can avoid the deficiency judgment by having the lender waive it at closing. They will do this many times just to close out the deal if you bring pressure at the right instant. Timing is critical in making this request. A good short sale attorney or short sale Realtor can make a huge difference in this process. It IS important.

In a foreclosure event you do not have any control whether or not there will be a deficiency that the bank can collect from you. The bank decides without any interference or interaction with you. If they think you have assets or cash flow and just threw the lender under the bus, they will come after you for the deficiency judgment. They will sue you and harass you and try to break you down until you file bankruptcy, commit suicide or deal with them in a payment plan or a sale of some other asset you have to pay them off. Yes, the executives of these large mortgage lenders got silly rich on the tax payers. Watch Michael Moores’ “Capitalism, a Love Affair” and get some serious religion about what is going on in this Country. We are all screwed unless we teach these banks and the greedy jackass’s that run them a lesson with our votes and with the adjudication of the violations they have inflicted upon us by showing the violations to the courts and demanding from the courts the relief the law mandates. This is why we do what we do. We are here to help homeowners know their options.

Next, what can one do to protect oneself from deficiency judgments of any flavor from a mortgage company? There is something. It is so simple. It is the bully principle. Bullies do not pick on kids with baseball bats. A forensic audit of your sub prime adjustable rate loan is like taking a baseball bat out of the closet before you step outside. You have an extremely high likelihood of finding serious federal violations if you have one of these loans. We have audited hundreds and hundreds of mortgages and find actionable violations of RESPA and TILA in virtually every one. If you do as we suggest and send a copy of the forensic audit to your lender demanding that they cure the defects in your loan, your lender will think long and hard about going after you for a deficiency judgment. Why should they when there are so many others who do not know that they have a defense or a counter claim because they have not had their mortgage audited?

Ok, this is an important question. Are all lenders alike? Does Bank of America enforce deficiency judgments more than Chase, Ocwen, Wachovia, PNC, Saxon or EMC? Are you safe if your short sale was with a local lender? Will you get a better Loan Modification if you have Wachovia rather than Bank of America as a lender?

These are good questions. There are differences in how these banks are reacting to the onslaught of loan modifications and short sales. They each have different policies and methods. We actually had OneWest respond to a QWR demanding that our client pay for making copies of the documents we were requesting. Completely illegal. Recently GMAC refused to respond to part of our clients QWR stating that some of the documents we were requesting were “trade secret” protected. Both were reported to HUD.

The bottom line spirit of this post is to show the power a homeowner gets from a forensic audit. It levels the playing field for you. It allows you to set terms. It forces the bank to deal with you not from a level of complete power, but from a level of respect. If you know that you have busted your bank with a rescissionable violation of RESPA or TILA you are in the drivers seat. You can short sale your house without the looming fear of deficiency judgment harassment. You can send a rescission letter to your lender and force them to consider a principle reduction on your mortgage in your mortgage modification. It doesn’t matter whether you live in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, North Carolina or Florida These are federal guidelines and your bank will respect you after you uncover their violations. The transition(alone) from having your lender literally telephone vomiting on you to showing you the respect you deserve is worth the cost of the audit. Thanks for reading. Interior Decorating: Understanding Paint Finishes

Once you've selected your colors for your room makeover you think you're past the decision portion of your interior decorating project, right? Wrong. There are a number of paint finishes you can choose from and each serves a different purpose.

So put the paint brush down and let's brush up on the most common interior paint finishes:

Flat Finish. Flat (or matte) finishes reflect the least amount of light and are a good choice for walls with imperfections – such as cracks, rough patches and dings – that need to be hidden. While some flat finishes claim to be washable, they will not hold up to hard or regular scrubbings.

Flat Enamel. Just as they sound, flat enamels have a hard, matte finish, which makes them an excellent candidate for areas that will require some regular cleaning, including guest bathrooms. It can withstand better cleaning than flat finishes, but still will not hold up as well as an eggshell or satin finish.

Eggshell Finish. By far the most popular choice for interior walls, eggshell finishes have a slight sheen and are more durable than flat or flat enamel finishes. This is an excellent option if your walls are in good condition.

Satin Finish. This finish can be used for a number of purposes – for door, wall and window trim as well as for children's rooms, bathrooms and kitchen walls. Satin finishes have a smooth finish that is specially-designed to withstand regular washing.

Semi-gloss Finish. A popular pick when paint trim around walls, doors and windows, semi-gloss finishes can also be used on kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Just be sure that your surface is properly prepared before painting since the finish's low sheen reflects light that draws attention to irregularities in the underlying surface. Semi-gloss' are very durable and clean up nicely.

Glossy Finish. Known for its highly-reflective qualities, gloss finishes are not a typical choice for interiors. They are more frequently used to paint furniture and cabinets. However, if you want to create a very dramatic modern or formal affect, this may be the choice for you.

G Spot – Techniques To Find It and Please Your Partner

Women can orgasm several different ways, via clitoral, vaginal, and of course the G-Spot, the latter can give her a massively satisfying orgasm if stimulated correctly.

Here we will look at how to find it and give your partner immense pleasure once you do!

Where is the G Spot?

The G-Spot is the area to target for maximum sexual arousal.

You will be able to help give added pleasure and a mind blowing climax to your partner if you can locate and stimulate it.

The G-Spot is essentially a bean shaped area of nerve tissue, located about halfway between the back of the pubic bone and the top of a women’s cervix.

The size and location of the G-Spot will vary between women, but it usually lies about 1.5″ to 3″ inside the vagina.

This area inside the vagina has a different texture; it’s ridged, not smooth like the rest of the vagina, and when

aroused has a spongy feel.

The G-Spot is not easily located. Sometimes even women have a hard time finding it and some don’t even believe it exists, but it does.

All you need to do is to locate it and arouse it and with a little trial and error between you and your partner you can.

Locating the G Spot

To explore and find the G spot, have your partner lie down, knees bent and feet flat on the floor or bed, with a pillow under her buttocks for comfort.

Insert your fingers into her vagina towards her navel. This will be between 1.5 – 3″ inches inside the vagina to find the exact spot.

Press with the fingers against the front wall of the vagina.

As it’s surrounded by tissue and deep in the vaginal wall, you will need to apply a little pressure. When you finally hit the right spot, it will swell the same way a penis does.

Slide your fingers from side to side. Have your partner tell you when you hit the right place and you she will know, as you will see the reaction when you hit it!

G Spot Technique

When you have found it move your fingers in even circles all around the inside of the vagina walls.

It generally feels best for her if you keep consistent, firm pressure along the entire length of the vaginal walls and use a steady rotational rhythm.

Stop rotating your fingers and rest your fingertips on the ridged area of the G Spot. Then move the fingers in and out and do rotational movements to keep hitting the spot.

Finding a rhythm is what you are looking for here; keep moving the fingers in and out and around constantly hitting the G Spot.

You can give your partner even more pleasure by licking her clitoris and stimulating her G-Spot at the same time, to give her an amazing climax.

Stimulating the G Spot to the level where it will ejaculate requires three components:

1.Time: Needs to be taken to work your partner up

2.Gentle attention: Listen to your partner and find out what gives her pleasure.

3.Tapping: Keep constantly tapping the G-spot while you are moving your fingers.

Penis stimulation

Penises curve and the ones that curve upwards are most likely to hit the G territory. However if your penis curves to the left or the right, all is not lost,There are options!

If your penis curves to the left, right or to the south, you can position yourself in such a way that your penis hits the spot i.e you need to be in a position where your penis points north.

For example, if your penis curves to the side. You lie horizontally, she lies vertically and you gain the same impact and will be able to hit her G Spot.

If your penis curves downwards, place her on top of you but facing the other way, you will see her buttocks and then move to hit the G spot.

Other methods of stimulation

There are a number of adult toys such as vibrators etc that are designed to hit and stimulate the G Spot and the huge variety out there means there is one for every women.

The G Spot is there in women all you have to do is find it and stimulate it to give your partner huge pleasure.

There is a lot of mystique related to the spot but to find the G spot and give your partner pleasure is really all about communication.

She will be able to guide you, all you need to do is follow her instructions have patience and find out what’s right for her.

If you do, you will add another dimension to your relationship and your partner will be very grateful for your effort!

Internet Promotion – Advantages and Disadvantages

The emergence of globalise trade, increase in foreign investment and cross-border transactions have put many small businesses under pressure to find innovative ways to continue to market their products and services. This is especially difficult given that they often operate on tight marketing budgets.

In the quest for cheap marketing alternatives, these small businesses continue to use conventional marketing tools such as newspaper, magazine, radio and television advertisements, unaware of the advantages that Internet Promotion offers. All too often, these entrepreneurs focus on the disadvantages of Internet Promotion and fail to adequately take advantage of the opportunities that it presents. Moreover, their preoccupation with conventional marketing strategies is driven by a misconception that these are cheaper than Internet Promotion.

To most small business entrepreneurs, marketing or promoting their products or services via the Internet can be a daunting task. However, with adequate information small businesses can benefit significantly from Internet Promotion while minimising the disadvantages that it presents. In fact, it may prove to be the marketing strategy that generates the highest return on investment.

The Advantages

Cost Effective and Enduring Marketing Strategies

The Internet has become the information superhighway for the buying public. Most persons prefer the hassle free transactions that Internet shopping can offer. As a result, the Internet has become the most powerful selling tool. Internet Promotion offers cost effective ways for small businesses to enhance their product or service distribution networks. For example, the use of portals can help create new marketing channels and logistics, or provide better or faster product access for customers.

In comparison to other forms of marketing, Internet Promotion presents the advantage of reduced budget and storage costs, when compared with printing brochures, producing television or radio advertisements or managing a call centre. It presents a fast and cost effective option for penetrating new markets.

Market Penetration

With millions of person using the Internet to search for products and services, small businesses can penetrate other markets at a fraction of the cost of traditional marketing methods.

Websites act as virtual storefronts, allowing businesses to stay open 24/7. Internet Promotion gives a business greater visibility, thereby creating more opportunities for increasing its customers at relatively low cost. Never before has it been easier for an upstart business to be able to reach out to literally millions of potential customers and to position themselves for success, without the need for costly infrastructure and overwhelming marketing costs. Thanks to the Internet, new businesses can become popular almost overnight.

Low Cost, Instant Communication

Email makes business communications instant, whether the customer or business affiliate is across the street or across the globe. It makes it easier for customers to maintain contact and readily facilitates repeat purchasing. An effective online strategy can therefore turn a small web business into a virtual cost saver and income-generating machine. The net result is that the small business can gain significant competitive advantage in a given market.

Many online businesses have therefore resorted to the use of ezines, blogs, pop-up ads and other online marketing tools to let customers know about new products or services as well as provide information relevant to their respective industry. The benefits of this strategy are two fold. Marketers can effectively heighten brand awareness for relatively new products on the market whilst strengthening customer relationships, with shorter time frames.

Content is Timeless

Internet Promotion also provides the advantage of being enduring. Whereas participation at a trade fair or conference loses sales impact, once it is over, and an advertisement in a newspaper or business magazine may quickly lose its sales generating value within a day or two or as soon as the next issue is released; Internet Promotion is often timeless. Apart from the dates and sometimes prices, much of your website content remains valid years after.

Real Time Statistics For Measuring Success of Promotion Campaign

One of the most significant advantages of Internet Promotion is that its success is measurable. Marketers can use tools that provide real time statistics, on unique visitors, repeat visitors, click through rates (CTR) on advertisements, thereby allowing them to evaluate the effectiveness of a promotion campaign. This enables marketers to determine what works for their particular market and to make timely changes in their marketing strategies.

Time Saving

Another important advantage of Internet Promotion is that it saves time since it generally does away with counselling on product uses and benefits, service information and sales administration. Visitors can access “frequently asked questions” to help themselves, and can buy online, without the involvement of staff. This saves time and money. So, whether 10 or 10,000 visitors visit the site, the increased cost is marginal whilst the savings can be immense.

But like any business approach, Internet Promotion is not without its risks and weaknesses.

Difficulty in Attracting Customers

Small business may not have the resources to pay for paid directory inclusion, pay per click inclusions and often have to rely solely on search engine optimisation or word of mouth to drive traffic to their sites. With millions of businesses selling the same product and services, competing with more established businesses can be frustrating and costly venture for small business.

On the other hand, larger companies can offer promotions, pay for directory inclusions, implement pay per click campaigns as well as employ the “who is who” in internet marketing to develop campaigns that generate traffic and leads.

Difficulty in Evaluating Legitimacy of Transaction

Another notable disadvantage of doing promoting businesses online is that it may be difficult for the businesspersons and consumers to thoroughly evaluate the legitimacy of a transaction. Small businesses are particularly vulnerable to thieves using stolen credit cards and stolen information to do online transaction.

With Internet credit card and identity fraud on the rise, small businesses are forced to finance costly security measures to reduce their vulnerability to fraudulent transactions.

Salespersons and Customers are Isolated

Another disadvantage of promotion via the Internet is that the customers and businesspersons are isolated. There is little personal contact between customer and salesperson prior to and after the sales is closed. Thus, the prospect for repeat sales may thus be diminished. Entrepreneurs are therefore compelled to adopt marketing strategies to drive online users back to their site.

From all indications, it appears that the advantages of Internet promotion, far exceed the disadvantages. With adequate knowledge, entrepreneur can benefit significantly from Internet promotion, especially small business owners.

More and more, the growth and outreach of the Internet’s, its ease and accessibility for customers is becoming inevitable. Small business would therefore be well advised to start their web advertising function in order to improve their competitiveness online.

15 Facts About Paper Shredding

1. The first paper shredding machine was patented by inventor Abbot Augustus Lowe in 1909. But his prototype never saw mass production — Lowe died only three years after patenting it.

2. In 1935, a German engineer named Adolf Ehinger created a second machine designed for paper shredding. He had to create it in a hurry: Its purpose was to shred hundreds of volumes of anti-Nazi propaganda before Hitler’s secret police could find them.

3. Paper shredding isn’t just something that happens in the office. Many firms’ need for document destruction is so great that they hire dedicated shredding companies to visit their offices with huge ten-wheel trucks with giant paper shredding machines mounted on the back.

4. Doctors and health insurance providers are legally tasked with document shredding duties. Because their patients’ and clients’ information is so sensitive, state and federal laws dictate that all medical organizations have comprehensive data-destruction plans.

5. The practice of paper shredding gained a questionable reputation in 1972, when President Nixon’s operatives shredded huge amounts of paperwork in an attempt to cover up the bungled attempt to burglarize the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate Hotel.

6. The biggest paper shredding machines on the market make your office shredder look like a plaything in comparison. Many of them eat just about anything, including (but probably not limited to) binder clips, rubber bands and hanging file folders. Do not anger these machines.

7. Because of state and federal laws aimed at preventing identity theft, paper shredding has grown into its very own industry. Many waste management companies have introduced document destruction into their service menus.

8. Paper shredding in the home saw a marked rise in popularity in 1988 — the year the United States Supreme Court ruled that personal trash became public property once it hit the curb.

9. Many document destruction services offer a “Certificate of Destruction” — a legal document that ensures that certain practices were followed in the destruction of documents, and that all of the documents were completely destroyed.

10. Paper shredding used to be all any business needed to worry about. But as digitally-stored information became more widespread, the need for specialized services to erase and destroy computer hard drives followed suit.

11. Like doctors and health insurance professionals, accountants are legally bound to adhere to certain document shredding standard. The Gramm-Leach Bliley Financial Modernization Act of 1993 outlined the measures that must be taken to destroy sensitive client information.

12. Iranian revolutionaries changed the way we approach paper shredding in 1979, when several of them stormed the American embassy and seized piles of shredded documents. Since the embassy’s shredders only cut paper into long, thin strips, it was simple for the revolutionaries to paste the documents back together to access the (highly secret) information they held. After this, cross-cut shredders became the norm.

13. According to a survey by the nonprofit Identity Theft Resource Center and Fellowes, Inc., many Americans believe identity theft is more likely to occur during online exchanges — even though online exchanges represent less than 10 percent of identity theft cases.

14. Some of the most technologically advanced shredding machines cut documents into pieces measuring just 3mm by 9mm.

15. The National Association for Information Destruction is the shredding industry’s nationally recognized trade association. It is headquartered in Phoenix, AZ.
