The Difference Between a Casio Baby-G and a Casio G Shock Watch

Are you looking for the perfect watch that can stand up to your tough lifestyle? There are two that come to mind: the Casio Baby-G and the Casio G shock. These two watches are remarkably similar. They are both tough and durable. They can withstand large falls and impacts that other watches would crumble under. They can both be used in water, and they both have sleek designs that set them apart from other watches.

Their similarities make sense, though. After all, the Baby-G is just a smaller version of the G shock. Despite their similarities, however, there are a few unique differences you should consider before you decide to make a purchase.

Analyzing the Differences

  • Men vs. Women – One of the biggest differences between these two watches is that the G shock is made for men, and the Baby-G is made for women. The sizes of the straps and the watch’s face are different because of this. The Baby-G’s face is generally about the same in length, but it is usually not as deep as the men’s version of the watch.
  • Water Resistance – A G shock watch is generally (although not always) water resistant for up to 200 meters. While some Baby-G’s are as well, many are only resistant for up to 100 meters. Unless your favourite activity is snorkelling or deep sea diving, however, this should not be a problem.
  • Colour – The men’s version of this watch generally comes in very few colours, like black, red, silver, gray, and white. The women’s version, however, is much more colourful. You can find these watches in red, pink, green, white, purple, black, blue, and silver. This allows women to pick and choose different and vibrant colours to match any outfit they put on.

What do These Watches Have in Common?

Aside from their sleek look and unmatchable durability, these two watch styles have several features in common, including:

  • Temperature resistance – Some of the watches can withstand temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius.
  • Electro-luminescent backlight – The backlight on these two types of watches allows you to enjoy them anytime- no matter what time of day it is.
  • Auto-Calendar – These Casio watches are programmed so you will not only know the time, but the date as well. While the number of years the auto-calendar is programmed until will vary, depending on the exact version you purchase, some are programmed all the way until 2099.
  • Long Battery Life – The Casio G shock and Baby-G both come with long-lasting batteries. You can use these watches for up to two years before you need to replace them.
  • Stopwatch – Are you in training or simply trying to lose weight? These watches can help with one hour countdown timers, complete with an auto-repeat option, and a one hour stopwatch.

Whether you are a man or a woman, you are going to enjoy all of the unique features available to you from Casio’s line of G shock watches. If you are a woman, you can enjoy the traditional G shock gives a masculine flair and has all the bells and whistles you need, and if you are a woman, you can enjoy all the same great features, but with a more feminine and colourful accessory.

Were the personnel timely? Did they clear up the work location? Did they utilize the type of material that they specified in the agreement? Pay attention to local companies with a great reputation in your community. Explore the history of any contractor you are interested in. Get and check at the least three individual references. Check out trustworthy internet websites that recommend and rate contractors contingent on past results, time frame in business, and number of happy homeowners.

2. Check out credentials.

  • A legitimate roofer bought to be licensed and with out any formal complaints. Talk with your city, county and state agencies to unforgettable that the building firm is licensed. Check if any problems happen to be filed against the contractor. When you speak with the roofer, ask to look at duplicates of the licenses.
  • Make sure the contractors has insurance coverage. The insurance coverage should cover workers comp and general liability. If anyone gets hurt on your own property, or any damage is a consequence of the contractor, you could end up responsible. Any time you meet the contractors, find out if there's an agent shown on their insurance certificate. Then call them and verify coverage.
  • Check the company at the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website. You could also check local organizations such as Chamber of Commerce. Only some roofers are BBB members, however you can easily see if any claims were made.
  • Ask exactly how many years they've been in business. You do not want a newcomer caring for your roof. Hire a roofer with a great deal of experience repairing your kind of roof where you live.

Ask if the cost includes teasing off the present roofing materials.

4. Ask for a guarantee. Be certain to find out about the extended warranty for labor and materials. The supplies warranty is typically covered by the supplier. However, most complaints are due to the labor completed by the specialist. Get a written warranty from the roofing company for their work.

5. Finalize contract and cost. Do not sign the contract or give any person in initial deposit until you would like to move forward. Get a copy of the final, signed contract before the job begins. Do not work with a contractor who requires you to pay for your entire job up-front. Do not pay the reminder of the payment until all the work is done to your satisfaction. Never pay with cash. Use a check or bank card.

Rare PEZ Dispensers – Is Yours Worth Anything?

Did you know that there are actually rare PEZ dispensers that are worth a lot of money? There are hundreds of PEZ dispensers that have been produced, including ones for popular cartoons and even movies. Take into account the vast number of PEZ candy dispensers out there, with the different variations of each one, and you can easily see how finding out which ones are valuable may be a tough task. If you want to know if your PEZ dispenser is worth anything, here are a few tips to help you figure it out. Of course, you could also use these tips to find rare PEZ dispensers worth investing in. Lots of people are actually avid collectors!

1. Does it have feet? One of the ways you can tell if you have one of the rare PEZ dispensers is to look and see if there are “feet”. At the bottom of your dispenser, is there a part that helps it stand up right? If not, it was probably made before 1987. Rare dispensers that are older like that are worth more.

2. How it is packaged (if at all) will also play a role in how valuable it is. MOMC stands for Mint on Mint Card. This is the most valuable, as it has the card and has not been scratched, bent or damaged in any way. Next valuable is MOC, which stands for Mint on Card. This means it’s on cardboard and is covered with a plastic blister. After that is MIB, which means Mint in Bag. MIB means your PEZ

dispenser is in a cellophane bag. The least valuable is a one that is not packaged at all.

3. The older ones are usually more valuable. Check the patent number on your PEZ dispenser. There will be a lot of numbers, but just go by the first two. For example 2,604,331 would be shortened to just 2.6 There are five different “groups” it could fall in:

• 2.6 – If it falls in this group, then it is from 1952

• 3.4 – If it falls in this group, then it is from 1968

• 3.9 – If it falls in this group, then it is from 1976

• 4.9 – If it falls in this group, then it is from 1990

Of course, if you’re serious about finding the most valuable ones you could invest in a price guide. They are very helpful, because it can be a challenge to figure out if your dispenser is worth a lot of money. There are different variations of dispensers. For instance, a Batman dispenser could sell for over $175… but not just any Batman one. It has to be the right one. The one that sells for that has a gray base and a soft head. It is also one of those ones with no feet like we talked about earlier. So if your Batman PEZ dispenser has feet, a black base and head and is MOC – you’re actually only going to get a few bucks for it. PEZ dispenser price guides will be able to help you identify each one’s worth much easier.

Can Glow in the Dark Paints Be Environmentally Friendly?

More than 12 months of research and development by a leading scientist specialising in glow paint technology has resulted in a new eco-friendly glow in the dark paint called Superstarz.

By directly addressing the major worldwide concerns about the levels of VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds) contained in paints the new glow paint contains zero VOC’s which is a first for a paint of this type!

VOC’s emitted from paints as gasses in the application stage and up to 5 years following application are a major contributor to low-level pollution, global warming and short to long term health problems.

The new Superstarz range of paints have been submitted for rigorous testing at a UK accredited testing laboratory and have been confirmed as totally compliant with EU Toy Safety Regulations EN71-3 and have been certified as being 100% VOC Free.

This makes them particularly safe for children to use as well as adults. They are of particular benefit to sufferers of asthma and allergies.

The new paints are suitable for both domestic and commercial applications. Glow paints have been used on a large scale in high rise buildings following 9/11 as safety markings for corridors and stairwells in the event of total loss of lighting. These new high tech paints meet the necessary requirements in terms of brightness and afterglow and now offer an additional advantage by being VOC Free.

The paints are daytime invisible and are available in four colours – Green, Blue, Aqua and Violet.

The new environmentally friendly paints are a major step forward in glow paint technology.

9 Taoist Sex Positions – Discover The Ancient Taoist Secrets To Great Sex

In “The Classic Of The Arcane Maid”, an ancient Taoist text, describes several secret sex positions guaranteed to improve sexual pleasure and health.

9 Taoist Sex Positions

1. Somersaulting Dragons: The woman reclines on her back, while the man lies over her. She then presses her thighs into the bed squeezing her vulva, while the man enters into her. With calculated strokes (eight shallow and two deep), the man penetrates her as she continues to squeeze down on his penis.

2. Stepping Tigers: The woman places herself in a crawling position, pointing her buttocks upward while her head lies on a pillow or over a flat surface. As her lover enters into her from behind, they take turns thrusting into each other (eight thrusts, five times), with a brief pause after each set.

3. Wrestling Apes: As the woman lies on her back with her knees bent toward her head, the man supports her thighs, pushing them into her chest, while raising her buttocks. As he penetrates her deeply, she can rock and rotate her thighs and hips, stopping when she climaxes.

4. Cleaving Cicadas: The woman lies on her stomach while her partner reclines on her back, penetrating her deeply. He can lift her buttocks slightly by placing a pillow underneath her and thrusting (9 thrusts, 6 times), until she reaches orgasm.

5. Soaring Phoenix: The woman lies down and raises her legs while the man places himself in between her thighs while holding onto the bed. This sex position allows for deep penetration.

6. Bunny Licking It’s Fur: The man stretches out on the bed on his back as the woman straddles his body, facing his legs. She lowers her head, while holding onto his feet. This is a shallow penetration position.

7. Cranes Entwining Necks: The man squats while the woman sits on his thighs, holding onto his neck and wrapping her legs around his hips. Both partners can move in this position.

8. Fish Linking Scales: In this position, the man lies flat on his back with the woman straddling his body on top. He does not penetrate her deeply, but rather focuses on tantalizing her breasts with his hands and mouth.

9. Mounting Tortoises: While the woman lies on her back with her knees bent, the man presses them into her breasts. This position allows the man to alternate between deep and shallow thrusts. It is said that if there is no loss of semen during sex, in this position, a man’s vigor will multiply a hundredfold.

According to Taoist philosophy there can be no joy in yin without yang. Often, a man will desire sex, while the woman is unhappy, or the woman desires copulation when the man lacks desire. In other words, when hearts are out of tune, there is no arousal of the essences. By merging mind and desire, both man and woman can delight in each others hearts.

How to Test Drainage Pipes After Laying

Drainage pipes start from the first manhole or inspection chamber to the septic tank or sewer system. After laying the pipes, before use the drains should be tested. Each section in between the manholes should be tested. Its appropriate that this is done at least twelve hours after jointing the last pipe. There are various methods of checking the system. This ensures that the system is air tight to avoid foul smells and leakages along the lines.

The testing of drainage pipes after laying commences with the following method. First the lower end of the pipe and all junctions are securely stopped. The whole length is then filled with water. After filling with water, a stopper is inserted at the top leaving a pipe attached with drain plug. This pipe is bent at ninety degrees and terminated at an elevated tank. The vertical distance of elevation should be at least one meter. This will give gravity flow.

In testing the drainage pipes, water is poured into the header tank. This is kept full for at least three hours. It allows absorption to take place. After this time, the tank is topped up and testing commences. After a period of thirty minutes have elapsed check the water level in the tank. The water level in the header tank should not have fallen. If has dropped by there millimeters then the test is satisfactory. Give one hour and check the levels.

After testing the drain pipes and they fail the test, check the point of leakage. Its important to note that tests are run on pipes laid in trenches but are not covered. The point of leakage is then noted and fixed. This is done using a strong concrete surround with fine aggregates. A minimum cover of one hundred and fifty millimeters is done. Tests are then done again and confirmed. After passing the test, back filling is then done for the trenches.

The Various Methods of Making Pure Water

So much has been done to ruin the world and so little could be done to restore it. Even the most basic of all resources have become scarce because of contamination that could harm people’s body. One example of this is water. Although there are some who would gamble and use dirty water, there are still those who would want to be safe and use clean water. Thanks to technology, hope is just around the bend, especially now that we have the knowledge to produce pure water.

Pure water, or purified water, is water that has undergone processes to have its impurities removed. There are many ways to purify water namely distillation, double-distillation, deionization, microporous filtration, carbon filtration, electrodialysis , ultraviolet oxidation, ultrafiltration, or reverse osmosis. As processing of water became more advance, so are the methods used until it has come to this day where combinations of these methods are used.

Depending on what type of method used, you would yield varying kinds of pure water in terms of the level of purity.

The first method is called distillation. The kind of pure water produced by this method is water that has not more than 10 µS/cm electrical conductivity and less than 10 mg/L of dissolved solids. What happens in distillation is water is boiled then is later condensed. The steam produced in the process would go to a clean container. In this process, the solid contamination would then be separated from the water since solids cannot be turned into steam. The container from where the leftover is placed would assume a white or yellowish product. It is because of this product that the leftover container is required to be cleaned on a regular basis. The downside of distilled water is the fact that it does not assure you of bacteria free water. Risk of bacterial contamination is always present because the bottle used to contain the distilled water may not be sterilized.

The second method is the double-distillation. As its name suggests, double distillation is done through distilling the water twice.

The third method, which is believed to be a cheaper alternative to distillation, is the deionization. From the name deionization, deionized water is water from which its mineral ions were removed. Mineral ions in water consist of chloride and bromide for the anions and sodium, copper, calcium and iron for the cations. In order to remove these ions, the process of deionization makes use of ion exchange resins that bind then filters mineral salts from the water being purified. Deionization is a much quicker process and produces water with high purity. The downside, however, is that the process does not specifically target viruses, bacteria and some organic molecules. Thus, their removal would be more of coincidental if ever they get trapped in the resin. However, with the use of a strong base anion resin, it can potentially get rid of Gram-negative bacteria. It is also much cheaper because it can be done on a continuous basis through the use of electro-deionization.

The fourth method is the cluster of method that can also be used to make pure water. These methods include microporous filtration, carbon filtration, electrodialysis, ultraviolet oxidation, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis. These methods can be used as alternatives to the first three mentioned methods or they can be used together with the three first mentioned processes.

Hence, if you have the resources to make pure water available, why condemn yourself? Make sure that you stay healthy as possible and drink water that is pure and free from all the harmful organisms and particles that could put your health at risk.

Benefits of Waterproofing Your Basement

There are many type of benefits of having your basement or crawl space professionally waterproofed:

1. Increase the space and value of your home.

Most people think of the basement as little more than an old, the moisture storage space for garbage and a place to wash clothes. This is simply the wrong way to see it. Looking at it from the point of view of square feet, the basement represents an entire floor. For most people, that is one third or half of the total area of the house! This is a huge amount of wasted space, and certainly not a preferred percentage of space devoted to filtration, bacteria and mold. Adding healthy, useful space to your home will definitely increase its value, giving you an advantage if you ever decide to sell.

2. Reduce energy costs

Believe it or not, you may actually be able to save on energy costs waterproofing your basement or crawl space! When sealing old cracks you can increase your energy efficiency by preventing cold air entering during the fall and winter. Moreover, in the hot and humid months when the leaks and cracks in your foundation causing excess moisture to enter the house, the air conditioner has to work harder to get rid of warm, moist air. Moisture certainly plays a role in the efficiency of air conditioning!

3. Avoid serious risks to long-term health

We know that water and moisture cause a toxic mold to grow, but you may be surprised to learn how easy and fast it can happen! Under the right conditions, toxic black mold grow in a little as 24-48 hours! That’s scary to know, especially if lower basement seepage is something that has been missing out years. There are serious health risks posed by continued exposure to mold growth.

4. Protect your investment

Think about the day you bought your home. Remember the first months of careful decoration, cleaning, renovation and equipment? Your home is an investment, something to be proud of. By taking steps to ensure the long term health of your home’s foundation is in, you are showing your investment a little love.

5. Peace of mind

Not only is stress is linked to more and more health problems every day, it’s just good old-fashioned waste of time. You all know the feeling, that knot in my stomach as the first thunder rattle the windows before a storm. You begin to prepare the Wet -Vac, mops and cleaning products… Would not it be nice to not have to worry about cleaning up after your basement defective for a change?

Nissan Engine Range for Nissan Skyline – RB20-RB24-RB25-RB26-RB30

Nissan Engine Range for Nissan Skyline – RB20-RB24-RB25-RB26-RB30

The Nissan Skyline started the lifespan of the RB Engine line. The Technical Specifications for the Line are as follows:

  • RB20-2 LITRE 1998CC, 78MM BORE, 69.7MM STROKE
  • RB24-2.4 LITRE 2428CC, 86MM BORE, 69.7MM STROKE
  • RB25-2.5 LITRE 2498CC, 86MM BORE, 71.7MM STROKE
  • RB26-2.6 LITRE 2568CC, 86MM BORE, 73.7MM STROKE
  • RB30-3.0 LITRE 2962CC, 86MM BORE, 85MM STROKE

Common letter designations across the range were:

  • D-indicates double overhead cam (DOHC)
  • E-indicates engine is fuel injected
  • S-indicates engine is carburetted
  • T-indicates engine came equipped with factory installed turbo charger
  • TT-indicated engine came equipped with twin turbo chargers

The first of the RB20 engines came in the R31 Skyline in 1986. The first incarnations of these engines had two main variants. The earliest version was dual overhead cam using a NICS (Nissan Induction Control System), this was an injection system with twelve small intake runners, it included a butterfly system that divided the air intake ports for better low end performance. This system was later replaced with a system called ECCS (Electronically Concentrated Control System), this system replaced the twelve small runners in exchange for six larger ones although they still retained twelve ports on the cylinder head, these they divided with air splitter plates.

The different variations of the RB20 through the years were denoted by the addition of a letter code system.

  • RB20E-denoted a single cam variant
  • RB20ET- single cam turbocharged
  • RB20DE-dual over head cam
  • RB20DET-dual overhead cam turbocharged
  • RB20P-another single cam variant
  • RB20DET-R-dual overhead cam turbocharged
  • RB20DE-NEO-dual overhead cam with improved low end torque designed to reduce fuel consumptions and lower emissions.

The RB24 was a very rare engine. It was mechanically made from different engine parts in the RB line. The block was from a RB25DE/DET, the cylinder head was from a RB30 and the crankshaft was from a RB20DE/DET with 34mm pistons. This engine was not injected but came with carburettors. This configuration allowed the engine to have essentially the same displacement as the RB25DE/DET but rev higher.

The RB25 engine was mass produced in four main forms:

  • RB25DE-non turbo twin cam
  • RB25DET-twin cam turbocharged
  • RB25DE-NEO-non turbo twin cam
  • RB25DET-NEO-twin cam turbocharged

From 1993, the RB25DE and RB25DET came equipped with NVCS (Nissan Variable Cam System) this allowed the engine to produce more torque and power at lower RPM ranges than was possible in previous versions. Other changes that were made were the addition of a revised electrical system, the turbo charger on the Rb25DET was changed from an aluminium compressor to a plastic one, the ignition system got an upgrade with the introduction of ignition coils with built in igniters, eliminating the need for a separate coil ignitor. Other changes during this time to the engine were revised engine ecu, new cam angle and throttle position sensors and a newly designed mass air flow meter. Mechanically the engines were identical in series 1 and 2 engines.

The RB26DETT engine was produced throughout 1989-2002 primarily for the Nissan Skyline GT-R. The intake for the RB26DETT varies from the other RB series engines because it uses six individual throttle bodies instead of a single throttle body. It also uses a twin turbo system run in parallel. Both turbo chargers are of equal size and the wastegate is set to limit boost to pressure to 10psi. this engine is known for its strength and power potential. It is not unheard of to see people get 600hp from these engines without any modifications to the internals. Also from a reliability standpoint, these engines regularly hit 100,000 miles and even 200,000 miles as long as it is serviced regularly.

RB26DETT engines produced before 1992 were found to have a common oiling problem. The surface where the crank meets the oil pump was machined slightly too small, this eventually leads to an oil starvation problem and oil pump failure at higher RPM’s. Later versions of the engine fixed this problem and aftermarket performance part manufacturers make oil pump extension drives to eliminate this problem.

The RB30 engine came in the following configurations:

  • RB30S- single cam carburetted
  • RB30E- single cam fuel injected
  • RB30ET-fuel injected single cam turbo charged

The RB30DET engine was not actually produced by Nissan, the RB30DETT demarcation actually refers to a turbo charged engine which commonly had a engine block from a RB30E, this was mated to a Cylinder head from either a RB25DE, RB25DET or RB25DETT, RB20DE/DET heads were not used because of the difference in bore size.

You may be able to find slightly different variations of the above engines, these are commonly made by engine builders with a bit of know how in the field. These engines are used quite often when people are doing transplants into different vehicles and intend to use them for performance applications. The engines are powerful and dependable and are capable of generating huge amounts of horsepower when built correctly.

Seven Myths About Male Infidelity I Wish I Knew When I Found Out My Husband Was Cheating

1. Only jerks have affairs.

In fact, the opposite is true in most situations. One thing we hear often from betrayed wives is that others would be extremely shocked if they knew of their husband’s affair. Most often it’s the quintessential nice guy who has an affair. He is the guy that helps everyone out in the neighborhood and at work and is also a pillar in his church or synagogue. The guy who no one would believe would do this sort of thing. It’s usually their ‘good guy’ nature that gets them into the affair in the first place. Since they are naturally kind and thoughtful, affairs most often start when the married man is helping or being kind to the other woman upon meeting her.

2. Men who have affairs don’t love their wife.

In most affair situations the married man is still very much in love with his wife (and she with him) and has no intention of leaving his wife or family for the other woman. Married men who find themselves in affairs often find out after the affair is discovered, and they are uncovering the layers of their dysfunction with a therapist, that they have an uncanny ability to compartmentalize. This means they are able to keep the different parts of their lives in separate compartments in their mind. The wife and family are in one compartment and the other woman and the affair are in another. By keeping them separated in his mind he’s able to avoid guilt and shame and continue to love his wife and still carry on with the other woman because the two don’t cross over in his mind at all.

3. Men have affairs with women who are prettier, younger, smarter or thinner than their wives.

It’s often believed that a man will chose an affair partner that is superior to the betrayed wife. In most situations it’s just the opposite. Men will often “affair down” by choosing an affair partner that is much less in all areas than his wife. There is a deficiency to begin with. A woman who has it all together has no need to settle for less. She wouldn’t tolerate being a dirty secret in someone’s life. So where does the attraction come from? It initially comes from the other woman being different in some way than the wife. It can be that she’s more outgoing where the wife is reserved or a career woman and the wife is a stay at home mom. The deficiencies in the other woman are overlooked because of the allure of having something different that is available and willing. The actual seduction comes from ego strokes from the other woman in casual conversation. Eventually, the sexual attraction blooms from explicit and open sexual talk from the other woman or by her allowing the married man to do so. This opens the door to forbidden sex.

Most men will tell you after the affair is discovered and they have time to come out of what is often referred to as “the fog”, that they weren’t so much in love with the other woman as much as they were in love with how they made them feel. The other woman will often strategically get clues on the married man’s dissatisfaction with his wife and marriage and will morph herself into the direct opposite. For example, if a man says his wife nags too much or is too controlling, the other woman will make a point to never ask questions or ask for him to do or be anything other than what he is in the moment – often at the expense of her own wishes and desires.

For many married men there is an unconscious element where they will select women who won’t compete in their own mind with their wives. Women they know they couldn’t love but can certainly lust for.

4. Men leave their wives for the other woman or wind up with the other woman once the affair is discovered and a divorce ensues.

Truth is, only about three percent of men who have affairs ever wind up with the affair partner. Again, the affair partner is often not the type of woman he wants to have as a life partner. Sex partner, yes; life partner, no. So even when discovery winds up in divorce the other woman is often dumped, and most often abruptly, as she becomes an icon for his shameful behavior that brought all that he loved and cherished to ruin.

5. Men are fully conscious of what they are doing and of all the consequences when they have affairs.

Most affairs are just a different form of addiction. Like people who are substance abusers or have a gambling addiction, affairs become a secret world of deception and take on a life of their own in the same way any other addiction takes hold. Men get into affairs and often find themselves in situations where they can see the destruction in it but don’t know how to stop it. And if they do stop it they are often drawn back into it just as in any other addiction. It’s not the person they are addicted to, it’s the ego strokes, the forbidden sex and the world of illusion where there are none of the demands of everyday life.  It’s an escape from reality, just like an alcoholic or crack addict. And just like other addictions, the abuser loses their objectivity and ability to see the destruction they are creating. They build walls of denial and deceit which often take years to dismantle. When caught, most men will say they never expected anyone to get hurt because they never expected to get caught. In other words, they never considered the consequences of what would happen if they were caught.

6. Men actively seek out affair partners.

Most men don’t actively seek out affairs or affair partners. Not on a conscious level at least.  They really do “just happen”, or at least in their minds they do. What they don’t realize at the time is how vulnerable they are to the attention of another woman. They don’t realize how damaged their self esteem is  and when a woman comes around and begins to posture herself in the role of confidant with a smattering of ego strokes, men who are out of touch with their own emotional health will bite hard on the bait. In return the married man will shower attention on the other woman who has little to no self esteem. With both sides feeding the ego beast the affair soon begins. This explains why we see so many successful men risk it all on an affair. Men are taught by our society that it’s weak to examine and be in touch with their feelings. Climbing the ladder of success or just getting through the demands of everyday life can trigger chain reactions of emotions from the past and present. When those emotions get stuffed there is an insidious decline in self esteem and self value.  Once it hits a certain threshold men begin looking for an escape from their reality without even knowing they’re looking.

You will often hear from the married man and the other woman that they didn’t plan for this to happen and that it “just happen”. It didn’t really. There is almost a formulaic process each affair is born from. It all stems from lack of self esteem on both sides, unaddressed emotional issues and a yearning to escape reality. Unfortunately the escape is often out of the frying pan and into the fire of delusion, denial and addiction.

7. Most marriages end when an affair is discovered.

There are really no statistics on this as most couples choose to keep the infidelity secret if they are going to reconcile. We see a great deal of these “kept in secret” marriages reconciling at Infidelity Mavens and feel that there is a very high percentage of marriages that reconcile after an affair is discovered. In fact, marriages can not only be repaired, but they can be better than ever after an affair. If the spouse having the affair is open and willing to let truth prevail and give up their “addiction”, the marriage has a fighting chance. There are many more steps to getting to “better than ever”, but in the very beginning, the openness and willingness in both the wayward spouse and the betrayed spouse to reconcile makes a huge difference.ont>

Kidney Infection Or Lower Back Pain? How To Distinguish Between The Two

Back pain is a part of our lives and can affect anyone at any point in time. Back pain may occur periodically, remain for a short time, and then quickly disappear. This is known as acute back pain and can be taken care of with medication and rest. The pain would be deemed chronic back pain when it remains for over three months. Many people are on constant medication for back pain.

However, if you are experiencing back pains near the kidney area, its time to pay a visit to the doctor. Kidney infection may cause pain, which is similar to lower back pain. The kidneys are located on either side of the spinal column just above the hip. That is why any kind of pain in that area may be diagnosed as kidney infection. The pain originates in the kidney and radiates to the lower back. This is known as referred pain. Therefore, very often kidney infection is confused with lower back pain.

So how does one distinguish between pain caused by kidney infection and lower back pain? One symptom is that pain due to kidney infection comes on rapidly and disappears once the course of medication is over. With back pain, the pain continues even after the infection has cleared up. The symptoms of kidney infection or kidney stone could be pain during urination, blood in the urine or fever with accompanying chills. If the doctor presses on the kidneys at the time of physical examination, there will be shooting pain in the area. If, on the other hand, you have a stretched, torn or twisted muscle, the pain will be specific to the area. The pain may occur either in the lower back, or between shoulder blades, below the waist or over the spinal column. This type of pain will get worse with movement and ease away while resting. Kidney infection can be safely ruled out in this scenario.

If you happen to suffer from kidney infection, the pain will occur on one side of the back, above the waist but just below the rib cage. The pain may increase as the bladder gets full or it may travel to the genital area. During the time you may have bouts of vomiting, pain while urination, blood in the urine and even fever. Lower back pain could be another symptom of kidney infection. These are general guidelines, which give an idea how to diagnose the pain in the lower back area. If you still are not sure what you are dealing with, any such symptoms call for an urgent visit to the doctor. It is always better to be safe than sorry. If there is an earlier history of kidney infections, then there may be another attack coming on. On the other hand, it may just be a stretched back muscle. Therefore, it is better to visit the doctor so that he can make the proper diagnosis and begin treatment for the pain or kidney infection as the case may be. The kidney infection and resultant back pain will probably clear up with a dose of antibiotics. Lower back pain treatment may call for physiotherapy or medication in the form of pain relievers.

Indoor Furniture, Outdoor Furniture – What’s the Difference?

In the world of furniture manufacturing, there are companies that specialize in indoor furniture, outdoor furniture and between the two there is a limited amount of crossover. Outdoor furniture is built differently than the indoor variety, and while you can always use outdoor furniture inside, the opposite is not always the case. If you are debating moving some furniture for outside for a party or a much longer period of time, know what should and shouldn’t be used, and what can be made over to better handle the elements.

Be a material girl:

You don’t have to be Madonna to figure out that some materials are better suited for the outdoors than others, depending on type of furniture. Outdoor materials need to be sturdy enough to withstand variant temperatures, a certain amount of moisture from rain, dew, etc. and humidity.

Common sense dictates that there are certain materials that should never be taken outside, unless you’re absolutely sure that the weather will be perfect. For instance, carpeting is a disaster when it gets wet. It takes forever to dry, and can mold, and it also gets really stiff when it’s cold. That’s why rugs not meant for the outside should stay inside. Likewise, materials like suede, fleece, and dry-only materials should also not be taken outside. Companies manufacture cushion and deep seating fabrics that mimic the feel of more luxurious materials, but are fully waterproof.

Then there are certain pieces that can go outdoors for limited periods of time before you have to worry. Wicker, for instance, though technically considered patio furniture, is not that strong and holds up much better in sunrooms and away from prolonged exposure to sun and rain. Then there are things like thin pottery, ceramic and plastic pieces that are waterproof but not suitable as furniture, outdoor or in. They aren’t strong enough to withstand extreme temperature changes or strong, inclement weather. Untreated metal is also okay to get wet for short periods, but for much longer than that and you risk it rusting.

Then there are those materials intended for use as outdoor furniture. Outdoor materials are especially hearty but still look visually pleasing. Examples of tables, chairs, planters, and more can be seen made out of the following: treated wood and hardwoods, galvanized metal, powder-coated metal (aluminum, wrought iron, zinc hardware), stone and cement (as tables, benches and umbrella stands), marbles, clay and reinforced ceramics (as planter pots), poly resin plastics and waterproof nylon (used in canopies and as cushion covers).

This list only begins to scratch the surface of the multitude of materials that make up our lives. In all, use your best judgment about whether something can go outdoors. Take into account weather patterns. If it’s really nice out, you can be more lenient about what you take outside as furniture. Outdoor conditions can change rapidly, though, so keep an eye out.

Treating Wood

The best thing you can repurpose for use as indoor furniture/outdoor furniture is wood. It’s no more difficult than adding some varnish and it might save you from unnecessarily buying all new furniture. To begin with, take a look at the wood you’re working with. Stay away from old wood that’s in bad condition, as it will deteriorate at an even more rapid pace once taken outside. Next, check what species of wood you have. Some of the naturally stronger woods, like teak, pine, cedar and cypress, are great for the outside. These woods are already strong and durable on their own and require little extra protection. More delicate woods will require extra sealant and even then they probably won’t last as long outside as hardwoods.

To begin the weatherproofing process, you will need to cover wood with a fade-proof, UV-resistant finish. Sand away any lacquer that may already exist on your furniture. Whatever finish is on there is most likely intended for inside, and while it will give furniture a high gloss shine, it’s not the right kind of varnish that will protect it from moisture and the outdoor elements. After the surface is smooth, even and clean you can apply a sealant, usually an oil-based varnish, unless you’re working with a wood that produces its own oils, like teak and cedar furniture. Outdoor atmospheric elements will dry out wood more quickly than furniture that’s kept indoors, so it’s important to protect the surface and heartwood against cracking, rotting and warping. Once that’s complete, you’re good to go. From then on, simply oil and clean your wood furniture once to twice a year to keep it healthy.
