Natural Hay Fever Treatments And Prevention Individuals Need To Know

There are individuals who are experiencing health issues that affect their performance such as allergies. Allergy is a reaction by the immune system due to hypersensitivity. Unfortunately, simple allergies may turn into diseases like food allergies, atopic dermatitis, allergic asthma, anaphylaxis and hay fever.

As of now, hay fever is one of the most popular diseases individuals encounter that causes symptoms such as:

  • Runny nose
  • Itchy eyes, mouth or skin
  • Sneezing
  • Stuffy nose due to blockage or congestion
  • Fatigue

This is mostly experienced due to several factors like:

  • Outdoor allergens, such as pollens from grass, trees and weeds.
  • Indoor allergens, such as pet hair or dander, dust mites and mold.
  • Irritants, such as cigarette smoke, perfume and diesel exhaust.

Surely, individuals can find medications that can help them prevent such issue. However, some individuals are still looking for natural treatments. Luckily, there are now natural hay fever treatments and preventions individuals can do. Below are some of the following.

Herbs – One of the best options individuals can do to prevent hay fever naturally is to make use of herbs. Herbs like Chamomile, Ginger, Green Tea, Peppermint and Butterbur can healthily help individuals prevent hay fever. For instance, Butterbur can help reduce inflammation. Not to mention, Butterbur also blocks histamines and leukotrienes. Plus, health experts claim that Butterbur can help relive sneezing, itchy eyes, sinus congestion and headaches.

Steaming – In case that you want an easier option, individuals can also try steaming. Steaming produces excellent results to break up congestion. By adding Eucalyptus oil, steaming technique can become more effective.

Omega-3 fatty acids – Consuming food items with omega-3 fatty acids can also help get rid of hay fever. This is possible since it can help lower the amounts of inflammatory chemicals produced by the body after exposure to an allergen.

Positive Association Technique – Finally, individuals can also opt for Positive Association Technique (PAT). PAT is a natural allergy treatment that aims to reduce the symptoms of allergies, sensitivities and intolerances. Other benefits of this treatment are:

  • Draws on acupressure and kinesiology techniques.
  • Aims to re-train your body.
  • May reduce your reactions to substances that may be causing or exacerbating your hay fever symptoms.

In order to make treatments more effective, it is also important for individuals to know preventative methods. These include the following:

  • Keep windows closed during high pollen periods; use air conditioning in your home and car.
  • Wear glasses or sunglasses when outdoors to keep pollen out of your eyes.
  • Use "mite-proof" bedding covers to limit exposure to dust mites and a dehumidifier to control mold.
  • Wash your hands after petting any animal and have a non-allergic person help with pet grooming, preferably in a well-ventilated area or outside.

Knowing all these will allow individuals to treat and prevent hay fever, which can help them improve their health and lifestyle. Click here for more.

Cream Depilatories – Should You Use Them?

Cream depilatories are easily obtainable at the local pharmacy or supermarket. They are cheap and anyone can use them in the privacy of their own home for maximum convenience. However, there are some precautions you need to keep in mind. This article first looks what cream depilatories are exactly. Then we'll explore where they can be used, how they should be used, and finally a few caveats.

So to our first point ….

What Are Cream Depilatories?

A depilatory cream contains strong chemicals which dissolve the hair just below the skin's surface. One main ingredient in many depilatories is calcium thioglycolate which breaks down the keratin so the dissolving hair can be wiped off.

Where Can Cream Depilatories Be Used?

As the preparation contains strong chemicals it is unwisely to use them on domestic areas. There are some depilatory creams specifically designed for sensitive and facial areas but be aware they may cause skin irritation.

Generally this method of hair removal is good for arms and legs!

How Are They Used?

It is best to try a test patch first to make sure you do not get a skin irritation. Then apply the cream liberally. Do not rub it in, just allow it to do its work on the hair and pay particular attention to the timing. The instructions should say how long to leave the cream on. This perhaps is the most important tip for using depilatories – to repeat, make sure you do not go over the recommended time!

Cream depilatories are not for everyone. Yes, they can clear unwanted hair quickly over large areas such as the legs and arms. However, if an individual has coarse hair they may find the depilatory does not work quite as well.

Also some find the smell objectionable and they can be a little messy to clear up.

Some recommend not using depilatories more than once or twice a month as it can take off layers of skin. Also it is a good practice to stay out of the sun for a while after using them.

So to round up …

If you want to get a general idea of how these products work for people a good idea is to visit amazon's web site and just type in the names of some brands such as Veet, or Nair. There you will find customer reviews from the bad to the good.

With a product such as this, it is unlicely you will find a large number of overwhelmingly good reviews as everyone is different and the product will work differently on each person. So mixed results are to be expected.

There is probably no better way to find out if this hair removal method is good for you than by trying it yourself on an area of skin not so visible. As cream depilatories are quite inexpensive there is not much to lose!

Engine Turning – Jeweling Guide

You have probably seen engine turned parts and never knew what the finish was called. Engine turning, sometimes called jeweling, is common on everything from watches to firearm bolts and barrels. One of the most famous uses of engine turning was on the Spirit of St. Louis shown below. Jigs and templates can be used to aid in the process, but jewelry is still a very labor intensive process. The pattern is created by machining overlapping circles into the surface. The pattern is determined by the size of the bit and how much overlap is used.

Craytex or wire bits are commonly used. For aluminum I prefer a wooden dowel and cutting compound. What alloy you are trying to jewelry determined what cutting compound you should use. For aluminum, regular heavy compound works well. For tougher metals like steel I use a mixture of cement, cerium oxide and water. On ever softer metals or for a finer pattern, I use a leather pool cue tip glued onto a dowel for a finer finish. No matter what material you are working with keep your drill speed around 1100RPM.

A mill with an automatic feed can make short work of mass produced parts. For smaller one off items, the setup time can not be justified. A drill press and a little patience will achieve great results. If your drill has a laser guide system you do not need to mark up your part. If you do not have a laser guide system, you will want to draw out a grid on your part to give you a pattern to confirm to. A typical pattern overlaps the circles by 25%. So if working with a 1 "dowel, you would want to mark a spot to jewel ever 1/4".

The key to great results is consistency and preparation. You must apply cutting paste at a regular interval. You must also apply the same force each time for the same duration if you want uniform results. I used a three second duration with five pounds of force for this guide. The duration or force applied will vary depending on your materials, and desired results.

Start in one corner and work down all the way before starting another line. As you progress, clean and reapply compound to the bit at regular intervals. If the dowel or wire brush begins to mushroom you need to change brushes or cut the dowel to a fresh tip. You can fight mushrooming on wire brushes by wrapping the tips in some tape.

Whenever you reach a stopping point, remove your piece and clean and it off. Inspect your work to make sure you are getting clean clear circles and make any needed adjustments.

When you have finished the entire piece, wipe it with a degreaser and inspect for any spots that may need touched up. Remember, jewelry is an art form and requires patience. A 2 "x2" part has 100 circles assuming you are using a 1/4 "bit.

Guide to Bachmann Trains Steam Versus Diesel Locomotives

When it comes to deciding which type of HO model scale train to purchase, steam and diesel locomotives both have their distinct characteristics, both good and bad. By being aware of these characteristics, you can make a knowledgeable decision without regrets.

Steam locomotives have a distinguishing, main attribute: steam. Known by the familiar whistling as steam blows, the original "Choo-Choo" train is undeniably recognizable. Even though diesel trains do not have this feature, their tenders are sleek and modern in design. Electric steam locomotive models come equipped with an operating smokestack and tend to be replicas of days gone by, back around the 18th century. Diesels are mainly modeled after original trains which ran about 100 years later around the early 19th century and later.

Made of brass and other sturdy metals, steam locomotives are strong, weighty and durable. Additionally, many of the metal parts used in construction are applied separately – a common feature found in Bachmann locomotives. This demonstrates the care and due diligence given to each manufactured part. Diesels models can be found made of heavy weight plastic and other materials.

If you want a diesel train, look for trains with momentum and track stability features. Characteristically, the diesel trains have an "all-wheel" drive. Bachmann trains and other brands may list "8-wheel pickup and 8-wheel drive" which are compatible to the all-wheel drive feature. This adds to a train's longevity and smooth operation, which is desirable for any diesel. Also, look for models with dual, precision-balanced flywheels. These elements help keep the train running stably on the track making it less likely to jam as rolls over unnoticed debris.

By contrast, steam locomotives are known by the number of axles stated in the title or somewhere in their product description. For example, "4-8-4" would be interpreted as a model featuring two axles in the front and rear; and 4 drive axles. Since these types of trains are typically substantial in weight, they need compatible axles which are strong enough to stabilize their frame.

Some collectors note clearer, more defined hand painted details on most steam engine models. This in part is due to the fact that brass takes well to applied graphics. Designs on shiny metal alloys tend to be more visible from a distance as well as visually engaging close up.

Overall, steam engines are priced ranging from $ 75 on up. It is not uncommon to find mid-to-higher priced models in the $ 250 range and higher. This is due to a combination of factors including the popularity of the original during its heyday on which the replica is modeled after. You will also pay more for the combination of axles. For instance, expect to pay around $ 75 or more for a steam engine from Bachmann locomotives with a defined "0-6-0" type. This means "0" front and "0" rear; however, the 6 drive axles make up for the missing fronts and rears.

While most steam locomotives cost more than their diesel counterparts, Bachman trains do not. Prices depend on which features are included. Expect to pay significantly higher prices for added perks such as digital control for speed, lighting and directional operations, domes, additional box cars, caboose and other benefits.

Review of Naruto Shippuden Story Arc One

Since this is essentially a restart of the series they needed to reconnect us to the characters. I do not want to give too much away if you are still watching the original series, but at this point Sasuke is with Orochimaru and Naruto has gone off to train for two and a half years.

The series starts with Naruto's return and his reconnection to his friends (and vicarily us). At this same time; to keep the action moving, two members of the group that are after the tiled demons are moving in on the village of sand. Their goal is Garra.

Battles abound through this Arc, since they wanted to keep the action fans happy. The real story is in the new maturity level of Naruto, and the rest of the characters. Sakura has advanced significantly under the eye of Lady Tsunade, and an early segment with Kakashi testing Naruto and Sakura is very fun.

The only complaint I have, is that they jumped back into the action a little too fast for my taste. Even one or two more episodes with more of naruto reconnecting with his friends, would have added to the restart of the series. As is, they still did pretty well. Letting several of the supporting cast; including team guy and some old friends from the Sand Village, get some good air time.

Naruto's ability to change even the most jaded individuals comes into play, and some interesting things are set up for later. The biggest revelations in this arc involve Akatsuki (the group after the tiled demons). We get to see something of what they're up to and the extreme methods they are using. We also get to see the whole group for the first time.

I will give this story Arc the following ratings:
Story Development: B + -Several important events occur in this story arc, but they could have spent more time in some areas.
Action: A -I doubt I will ever rate this under A, the action is superb as always.
Arc Story: C +-They should have spent a bit more time on Naruto's return, and some less important parts seem to drag on forever.

Overall I will say it's a B + story Arc.

How Do Rainwater Drainage Systems Work?

For anyone living in a region with a damp climate such as the UK, a rainwater drainage system is essential. Providing valuable protection against heavy rainfall, a rainwater system that is properly installed can save thousands of pounds worth of damage being done and ensure the comfort and safety of the homeowner and their family.

The rainwater drainage system is made up of a number of important parts, each contributing a valuable role that ensures the optimal functioning of the entire system. So, what are these parts and how do they ensure the protection of a property in heavy weather?

As many may be able to imagine, guttering is one of the key parts of an effective rainwater drainage system. When rain falls on a property, guttering is the first in line to catch water and channel it safely away as it falls on your roof.

The guttering directs water to downpipes, which are the next essential part of the rainwater drainage system. These channel water down and away from the home making way for the next volume of water that the guttering collects.

The part that delivers collected rainwater into the downpipe is called a gutter outlet, and this is usually straight in shape. However, homes with over hanging eaves sometimes need the installation of a special double bend gutter outlet known as a swan neck.

It is important for every homeowner to check on a regular basis that the guttering and downpipes are working effectively. If water is spilling over the sides of guttering or leaking from a downpipe, this may be a sign of a blockage somewhere in the system. Clearing this blockage will make sure that the entire rainwater drainage system will start functioning as normal again.

The standard size of guttering that any home should have is at least 100mm wide. This size is normally sufficient to handle atypical heavy downpour of rain. On the other hand, property owners in areas that suffer with particular heavy rainstorms may consider investing in a high capacity rain water system to better meet their needs.

High capacity guttering and downpipes are larger in diameter and will be better able to cope with the increased volumes of water they need to carry. A professional will be best placed to advise you on the particular needs of your property in order to ensure maximum protection of your home in heavy weather.

After the water has travelled through the guttering, gutter outlets and downpipes, it is disposed of via a gully. This part of the rainwater drainage system is a drain at ground level which delivers water into underground drainage pipes.

Gullies can unfortunately suffer from blockages as much as guttering and downpipes; this is usually a seasonal occurrence caused by falling leaves in the autumn or other debris blown there by the wind. Similarly to other parts of the rainwater drainage system, gullies should be checked regularly for blockages and measures taken to unblock them if necessary.

There are a few materials that are commonly used to manufacture a rainwater drainage system. The most common material is PVCu, which is a relatively inexpensive and efficient option for the typical homeowner. Older properties may have cast iron rainwater drainage systems, and although these can be more attractive, they usually require more maintenance.

Another option is installing an aluminium rainwater system. This is considered the most efficient choice due to its durable and low-maintenance nature, although it is more expensive making it possibly unnecessary for homeowners with smaller budgets.

These are the basics of any rainwater drainage system. With a few main components that work efficiently together, and available in a variety of materials, the rainwater drainage system is an essential solution for protecting your home against the worst of bad weather conditions.

The Dangers Of Receiving Too High An Offer For A House

You've listed your home on the market, with the intention and hope, of getting the highest possible, available price, in the shortest period of time, with a minimum of hassle. If you are using the services of a true, qualified, real estate professional, who has reviewed the comparable prices, other similar houses have sold for, and evaluating how your home compares, your listing prices should end up being no more than 10% higher or lower, than the final selling price. Many people, however, get thrilled by incredibly high offers from seemingly qualified buyers, but one should be careful, be accepting this, for a number of reasons.

1. Bank appraisal: Let's say your listing price was $ 800,000, and you received a $ 900,000 offer. Sounds great, right! However, if the bank appraisal states the appraised value at $ 800,000, then mortgage calculations will be based on this number. For example, in a standard 20% down mortgage, the buyer would put down $ 160,000 and $ 640,000 would be mortgaged. However, if the prospective buyer wanted to get 80% of $ 900,000 and put down $ 180,000 (financing $ 720,000), this might create a stumbling block / obstacle for the deal! What may occur. The buyer would need to put down the difference between $ 900,000 and the loan amount qualified for, of $ 640,000, or $ 260,000 down. While some buyers may have planned to put more down, and financed less, or done a cash deal, most might be challenged to come up with the higher downpayment .

2. Buyers' remorse: When this lower appraisal comes in, will the buyer now, regret how high his offer in, and want to either get out of the deal, or renegotiate! Either way, it creates a challenge to a smooth transaction!

3. Buyer blames his agent: How could you let me make such a bad deal? You should have known I was over – paying!

4. Seller blames his agent: Why did not you warn me, of the dangers of accepting such a high offer? You're supposed to be a professional, and know the market, and how could you put me in such a predicament?

As you can see, while occasionally, an offer far over the listing price, is a terrific thing, in many cases, it might not be so great! Discuss this topic, and every topic regarding the real estate transaction process, in advance, with your qualified, real estate professional!

Website Design – The 8 "C’s" That Make a Site Sticky

I believe in judging a website by how well it converts visits into profits and this can be achieved with “stickiness”… the measure of how long a user spends on your site.

The longer they stay the likelier they are to spend money, ask any good salesperson worth his weight in salt!

Website Design, “stickiness” & the 8 “C’s”

Your design should keep visitors on your site AND make them come back for more so implement a few of the “C’s” in your site design to improve your conversion rate:

“Content is king” so ensure your web copy is unique, fresh, useful to users and fits in with the overall design.

Broadcast content with RSS Feeds, e-mails and sms to your target audience and link to relevant sites to get your point across (automate this in the website design).

Interactive website design (on-line games, weather reports, etc.) ensures consumers spend more time on your website.

Include F.A.Q.S, reports, research data or on-line response forms and integrate call to actions throughout the website.

2. Community

Engage people on your website, plug-ins from Social networks should be incorporated in your website design to further develop peoples perception of your brand.

It’s important for prospects or customers to reach you, display your contact details on each page and use an email notifier to inform users of any updates to the website.

Your design should include a Blog and allow comments giving you a better insight of your visitors needs.

Allow visitors to personalise landing pages and ensure the website design is customer centric with personal greetings and personal preferences.

5. Commerce

Customers should be able to complete the entire purchasing process on-line so incorporating on-line registration, secure payment facilities, order tracking and return policies in the website design is essential.

6. Convenience

Ensure your Hosting Company is reliable and keep your website down time to a minimum, remove dead links and ensure that information in no more than 3 clicks away (plan during the initial website design phase).

The website design should ensure a pleasant user experience with simple navigation, good graphics and clear typography.

7. Choice

The website should offer a wider selection of products than normal distribution channels or perhaps offer a product customisation option for registered members.

8. Cost

We always looking for bargains and the easiest way to find them is on-line, offer discounts for on-line purchases or bookings (check out for a good example).

Plenty of thought has to go into website design so always plan before you launch your on-line presence (or overhaul your existing web design).

Advantages of Making Jewelry With Wood Beads

Wood beads are readily available and they come at very reasonable prices. They used to be overlooked because their potential for jewelry craft had not yet been discovered. Now that their suitability has been realized they have become among the most thoughtful after materials for making jewelry and accessories.

Their use has expanded and they are now being used to make many types of accessories because of their versatility, and they are recognized in many markets worldwide. They can be used to make bracelets and necklaces among many other things. These beads are available in a variety of sizes and shapes.

An interesting item you can make out of wood beads is the friendship bracelet. Friends often get together to make their own friendship bracelets. They have found an opportunity to bond and spend some quality time with each other. These friendship bracelets are made using a simple string or an elastic cord and wooden beads.

They are also now being used as hair accessories. They are used in braids, usually at the end or at the beginning and are part of a unique hairstyle or hairdo. They are available in many sizes and shapes that can be used to accentuate different hairstyles.

They are also used in another simple but great idea; in making light pulls. Instead of using an ordinary string with a bauble at the end for easier holding and pulling of the switch, wooden beads are used. They can also be used for ceiling fan switches. These are far more attractive than conventional pulls and are unique to you.

Wood beads are usually plain, but you can paint them to make them look more colorful and attractive. This is a fun activity you can do with the family or with your friends. Bigger beads are best for first timers as they are easier to decorate.

Wood beads come in different types. This is because there are different types of trees. Wood beads come mostly from apple trees, sandalwood trees, olive trees, and bamboo, pear and ebony among many others. These trees have certain characteristics that provide the reasons why the beads are made from them. Some trees make your beads aromatic, some long lasting and the others beautiful.

For instance, the beads that are made from olive trees have a reddish color and a kind of wavy pattern. When the olive tree gets older, the beads that come from it became a bit darker with a well-defined pattern. On the other hand, sandalwood beads a have lighter weight and lighter color. Their aroma is also pleasant. Rosewood, on the contrary, is heavy and is also very weak. For bigger beads, this is a good material. It also produces black or brownish lines in the beads.

Wood beads are also affordable and they are actually cheaper than most beads on the market.

Feng-Shui Magic: Can Simply Change the Color of Your Main Entry Door Actually Change Your Luck?

A couple of years ago, I developed a curiosity about Feng-Shui. I was not really sure about it, and much of what I read was confusing, complicated, and contradictory. (Several different schools of Feng-Shui exist; and each has its own "rules", which can be at odds with those of another school). One day, while browsing the Internet, I came upon an article whose title jumped out at me. I do not remember it exactly, but it was something like "When Should Your Front Door Not Be Painted Red?"

I had a red door! And up until then, much of what I had read the promised idea of painting the front door red – a very auspicious color since it is associated with wealth, power, and happiness. And the front door (or more importantly, the main door used most by the family even if it's not on the front of the home) is particularly important in Feng-Shui. It is considered the "Mouth of Chi" or energy. And obviously you want the energy entering your home to be good energy (that is, good fortune), not bad.

I absolutely loved my red door. It was a gorgeous deep shade of red that perfectly matched the color of the shutters on my home. And yet, I began to wonder … my husband had been struggling to find a decent-paying job in his field; and I was totally unhappy and stuck in a job that was also not paying as much as it should. We were certainly having money issues. Since a red door was definitely not "working" for us, maybe there was something to this!

According to the article, although it's true that many serious practitioners of Feng-Shui do paint their main door red because of its powerful association with wealth, it is far more important to select a color based on the direction your door faces. In my case, it was North, which in Feng-Shui, is associated with the water element. Water colors include blue and black.

Interestingly enough, I had been toying with the idea of painting my front door a glossy black for some time. I had fallen in love with the look while perusing various home decorating magazines. But I really did not have the nerve. No one in our neighborhood or circle of friends had a black door. It seemed somewhat radical. And I knew that what works well in a high-end magazine shoot does not always translate well in real life.

But the article's promise intrigued me. I decided to go ahead and paint my door black. The worst that could happen would be that I would absolutely hate the color. And that could be fixed easily enough by re-painting.

My Experience

So even though it was a cold November weekend, I went ahead and did it. Fortunately, there was a glass storm door that provided some protection from the cold. The front door opened inward into the foyer, and I had a space heater to help me keep warm. And before I even got the first coat of black finished, I knew I loved it! It was exactly the rich, elegant, stunning look I'd seen in the magazines – and it looked great on my door. It even complemented the red of the shutters.

As I finished putting the second coat on late Sunday afternoon, I playfully thought to myself, "OK, I wonder how long it will take for my luck to change." I really was not very serious about it, as I was just more thrilled that the door had turned out so well.

The next morning, I had been at work for maybe 20 minutes when my phone rang. It was our HR department telling me I had won 2nd prize in our in-house United Way Prize Drawing … a flat screen TV! Now, I had never won much of anything before in my life and had not even seriously considered that I might win a prize in this drawing since I never had in my 16 years of working there and and we have over 3500 employees. And interestingly enough, my husband and I had been wanting a flat screen TV, but could not really afford to buy one at the time.

And our "luck" really did not stop there – although other results were not quite as striking. These included easily finding prime parking spaces, even at a super-crowded event with overflow parking only. And our favorite restaurant that day was over-booked and difficult to get into. We were put on standby but still "managed" to obtain a table for the six of us by a window overlooking an idyllic scene. And for about a year or so after that, everything seemed to "flow" very easily for us; even to this day, several years later, we do often seem "blessed" in this regard.

But did we become instant millionaires? No we did not. And although I do not hold Feng-Shui totally responsible for this, I know that it is an extremely complicated science and there are many, many things that can extremely affect your luck. I'm still very much a novice and still have many more changes to make.

Neverheless, this was enough to show me that there really is something to this, and I'll continue my studies and experimentation. I offer the list below, based on my own research, with a disclaimer that I am not an expert, and that you should do your own research as well. Keep in mind that you will find many, many contradictory statements regarding Feng-Shui. (I have since found a few articles on the Internet depicting that a north-facing door should be painted red … but I'm not changing mine! Also be aware that there are quite a few charlatans and individuals passing themselves off as experts who are not.

Suggestions for Door Colors

Types of Pheromones

Pheromone refers to a type of secretion that triggers reactions to members of the same species. They normally impact the behavior of another individual. There are different types of pheromones. Some of these are alarm, food trail and sex pheromones.

Alarm pheromones are produced by certain insect that will act when attacked. Insects such as ants, termites and bees will produce a certain smell when they are attacked by a predator. Some plants also produce them. This will cause other plants inedible to herbivorous.

There are also aggregation pheromones. These act by overcoming host by mass attack, predators and mate selection. The word aggregation here will mean in large numbers. Most sex pheromones will be produced by females. The males too can produce them, as they are sex attractant. The pea and bean evil are the most common.

In insects, there are epideictic pheromones that are used to mark territories. Insects will lay their eggs on certain fruits to signal to other insects that they should find other places to clutch.

Territorial pheromones are quite similar to the epideictic ones. It is a term that is used to refer to pheromones produced to mark boundaries by animals like dogs and cats. These animals may use urine as a pheromone sign.

Another type of pheromones is the releaser pheromones. These are the most commonly produced. They are secreted in order to influence the behavior of the same species. Some insects will produce molecules in order to attract males that may be at a distance. This distance may vary from one to two miles, and the smell does not usually last for long.

Primer pheromones are quite different from other pheromones that trigger the behavior of a species. They trigger change in developmental undertakings.

Other common pheromones are sex pheromones that are used to indicate the readiness for mating. They are produced in order to attract the opposite sex.

ProExtender Or SizeGenetics – Which Should You Choose?

So you’ve done your research and you’re pretty sure that a penile traction device is the best option for you. Well, you’re certainly not alone in that decision…due to the convincing results reported by many genuine clinical studies, penile traction has become a popular choice for those looking for a safe, effective and moderately effortless method of non-surgical penis enlargement.

What’s more, you’ve probably come across two devices in particular that seem to be mentioned more than all the others – ProExtender and SizeGenetics. These are the two brands that tend to get the ‘5 star ratings’ on all those penis enlargement review sites that you’ve no doubt come across. And of course, if you visit either the SizeGenetics or ProExtender websites, you’ll find that they both say that they’re the best on the market – medically developed, medically certified and guaranteed to work.

In fact, all the above statements are true – both companies offer devices that have gained medical certification for the purpose of non-surgical penis enlargement and both companies offer genuine guarantees. So how can you possibly choose between the two – maybe toss a coin and hope for the best?

Well…the choice becomes a lot easier when you know one simple fact – both companies sell the same device.

That’s right…the ProExtender Deluxe which costs $429 and the SizeGenetics device which costs $389 are in fact, one and the same…a device called the Jes Extender, which is manufactured by DanaMedic.

Now one thing’s for sure, the Jes Extender is generally considered to be the most reliable penis extender available – extremely well built, durable and capable of providing very accurate traction levels. It’s also one of only two devices to have gained the above mentioned medical certification specifically for the purpose of non-surgical penile enlargement, with clinical trials showing it to safely add about 30 percent length with six months use. So, you won’t be left disappointed whether you buy from SizeGenetics or ProExtender.

The good news however, is that there is a third option which enables you can bypass the middlemen and save a fair amount of money to boot. By buying the Jes Extender straight from the manufacturer DanaMedic, you’ll save at least $100 less in comparison to the prices quoted by the likes of ProExtender and SizeGenetics – which is a substantial saving by anyone’s standards.

And just to make clear – you’re getting exactly the same device from DanaMedic. The only things you won’t get if you buy direct from the manufacturer are the extras thrown in such as a bottle of penis pills and a penile exercise guide. But are these really worth over a $100 extra? In my view at least, they’re not. What counts here is the quality of the penis extender device you’re getting – after all, it’s the extender that’s been medically proved to work, not the extras.

So with this news is there any point buying from SizeGenetics or ProExtender?

Well…you could be swayed by the SizeGenetics package thanks to some of their after sales incentives. Firstly, they offer a very good guarantee – if your little fella refuses to budge from his current dimensions within 4 months – you’ll get your money back. ProExtender on the other hand require you to use the device for 6 months before they’ll consider giving you a refund, whilst DanaMedic expect you to tally up 1100 hours of use before a refund is forthcoming.

And as an extra incentive, SizeGenetics even offer to refund the cost of the device if you provide them with genuine ‘before and after’ photo testimonials. Yes, it does mean that pictures of your favourite organ will be plastered across the SizeGenetics website, but for a full refund it may be worth the degradation – you don’t have to show your face or share your name with the world at large after all.

But just remember, as far as the devices are concerned – you’ll be buying the Jes Extender whether you purchase from Pro Extender, Size Genetics or directly from the manufacturer, DanaMedic. As such, the things you should really compare are the different guarantees, packages and incentives offered by each company not the device per se.

Choosing Cycle Lights

As bike lights get more and more sophisticated the switch does more than just turn on and off your lights. It also tends to allow you to select one of what may be several different modes. That means that the switch can not be fiddly to operate. You might after all be out on the trail in the middle of Winter wearing thick gloves and you need to still be able to operate your lights without having to stop and take them off. The flip side of this is that they should also not be easy to operate accidentally. A lot of manufacturers have now started to add backlit switches to allow you to see where the switch is easily at night. Many of these also double as battery life indicators as well as mode indicators.

There has been a revolution going on in the battery industry and ever more efficient, charge resistant Lithium Ion batteries are still evolving. Current batteries are not only more powerful but they are also lighter and tougher than they have ever been before, especially when compared to older lead acid and NiMH batteries. However, as I said, things are still evolving and the efficiency of batteries can vary wildly from one model to another. So, when you are out shopping and comparing different lights do not try and estimate run time by the size of the battery and quoted ampere hours of the manufacturer. Seek out independent reviews in your favorite cycling magazine or online and go by the tested run times.

There are many different ways now to mount a light to your bike and in some cases you may not want to mount the light on your bike at all and may want to opt for a helmet mounted light, or maybe even both. Go for the type of mount that suits you best and this will depend on the main type of cycling you do. If you go for a helmet mounted light though, make sure that the mount is really secure but also ensure that the total weight of the helmet once the light is fitted is not to high or you will end up with neck ache.

This is probably the item that you will least be concerned with when buying new lights, but that may be a mistake. There are many charger types to choose from, including simple USB lead affairs to full on battery docking stations that let you set up your lighting options via your PC. Again, choose something that suits you and remember to check what the charged charging times are or you might end up being left in the dark if you have chosen one that takes a long time to charge when you only remember an hour before you need your lights that they are flat from the night before.

In a similar way to the battery industry, the lighting industry has also been going through a bit of a transformation recently. It's not that long ago that LEDs or Light Emitting Diodes were not practical for anything more that decorating the Christmas tree due to their low power. That has all changed despite and year after year LEDs are emitting more light. For example, on average, cycle lights that are on offer in 2012 are 7% – 10% brighter than they were in 2011 and that trend is set to continue. They also draw a lot less power than normal bulbs and there before your batteries will last longer. One thing to be careful of though and something you may want to compare between one light and another is the operating temperature. Some of them get quite hot and controlling the heat they produce has been one of the challenges for LED manufacturers.

All in one systems for lights are becoming increasingly popular as they do away with the need for leads running from the battery unit to the light unit. However, being aware of the limitations of two unit systems is important. Cheaper systems may only offer simple 'water-proof' jack to jack leads but the more you pay the more you tend to find an efficiency increase in complexity and sealing making your lighting system more reliable, especially in wet weather.
