Unity Wedding Sand Ceremony

The unity sand ceremony, or another name is a wedding sand ceremony, is becoming a popular alternative to the traditional unity candle lighting ceremony symbolizing the unity of one. During the candle ceremony, the tapered candles are lit, then the bride and groom will light the unity pillar candle together concluding their union as one.

Reciting your unity along with using the unity sand works the same as lighting their candle with the exception of now you are replacing the candle with sand. Unity sand sets are gaining popularity for the traditional unity ceremony, as the sand becomes not only keepsake artwork, but also you do not have to worry about the problems which may plaque trying to light the tapered candles, especially if you are having an outside event. Just like sand art, the bride and groom both pour the sand creating a memorable keepsake of their event.

After the wedding, the unity set can become a decorative memorable keepsake, displaying a valued centerpiece of memories for one of the most cherished days of their lives.

With a unity sand set, you'll have a large glass vase along with two small vases or glass style tubes. At the beginning of the wedding ceremony, the bride's mother and the groom's mother go and each will fill the small glass tube and set down next to the large glass vase. Typically one of the colored sands will be white and the two others can be the color of your wedding décor.

An idea to add to the end of the ceremony is possibly having the officiant give a blessing or a customized versa over the ceremony sand vase.
